We hired Appliance 911 to check out our fridge 'cause it wasn't working right
We hired Appliance 911 to check out our fridge 'cause it wasn't working right. They charged us 70 bucks just to figure out what was wrong. We paid 'em and told 'em to go ahead and replace the broken part. But they never got back to us and now we gotta find another company to fix it. And we're out 70 bucks 'cause of Appliance 911.
On April 1, 2022, I paid this company $414.00 to fix my dishwasher
On April 1, 2022, I paid this company $414.00 to fix my dishwasher. It took like, over a month to get the part, and they fixed it, but then the part went out again after 2 weeks. They ordered another part, but after like, more than a month, I hadn't hear anything, so I called, but never got a call back. I called the office, and they said the technician don't work there no more and they don't know nothing about the part. They ordered it again, but still never heard back, so I called again. I asked the owner for my money back, and he got mad and started cussing and complaining. He said he would give me a refund, but then changed his mind, saying I was being rude. I was just standing up for myself. Then he hung up on me. I called the office to try and fix this, and he called me back yelling at me some more. He said he would find out about my part in the afternoon, but I never heard back.
Our LG clothes washer was throwing an "LE" code
Our LG clothes washer was throwing an "LE" code. We set up an appointment with an Appliance 911 tech. He diagnosed the problem as a "bad bearing" (i/13/21) and said Appliance 911 don't do this fix, we gotta call the manufacturer. We looked up common causes of the LE code on an LG machine on the web and found the most common cause was a faulty "rotor position sensor". A $9 part from *** that I ordered and replaced myself. Problem solved (1/17). I left a voice message (1/18) and sent two text messages, one on 1/18 and another on 1/27 (their website don't have email) explaining the situation and asking them to contact me about a refund of the $65.69 service charge I paid when their tech wrongly diagnosed the problem. They haven't contacted me at all.

2/21/2023
2/21/2023. I tried to file this complaint b4 but havent heard anything so am trying again. On 2/21 a repairman came to fix my washing machine. He charged me $421.68 n claimed it was fixed. After trying to do a load I discovered it wasnt fixed so called him again. His name is *** at ***. He came again n said it was fixed. I tried to do a load of wash n again it didnt work properly. I called the office to try to get another repair person or my money back but they said *** would have to come back. I called *** who didnt understand that it still didnt work right n we argued about this. I made an appointment with *** but the next day his boss called n claimed I called *** a name n it was on tape. I didnt call *** a name n the boss verbally abused me until I had to hang up. I believe this is a case of incompetence n would like my money back.

They came out to look at my ice machine that wasn't working and after a few visits, I paid $700 for them to replace the compressor (I had to buy the compressor to get it in a reasonable amount of time). The machine still didn't work and so the technician came back and the water pump doesn't work either. He said he would get the part ordered and call me back. Never heard anything because they fired him and the office didn't know. Owner came and looked and confirmed the water pump was the issue. Said they'd replace and clean the system for all the hassle. He never called back with the part. I reached out numerous times and they said they would call and come out and it never happened. There was a recent *** review with the same situation and I'm wondering if the compressor even needed replacing. I just want a working ice machine. I did everything in writing to make sure I had a record. Here's my *** review:
I called them to fix my fridge
I called them to fix my fridge. At first, they came and changed the compressor. The owner, ***, said it would make the fridge work again and gave me a 5-year warranty. But after a few weeks, it stopped working again. They said it needed a new condenser and promised to order the part and fix it in a few days. After waiting for 6 weeks, they said they were coming to fix it on Thursday between 5 and 7 o'clock. But no one showed up or called. On Friday, I talked to ***, the owner. He said one of his techs was ignoring customers and he had the part I needed. He promised to come on Saturday morning to fix it. On Saturday, I got a call saying they had the wrong part. He said he would get another one and fix it on Sunday morning. Sunday morning, he said he was "fixing" the new part but didn't show up. I asked for a full refund and he agreed, but only gave me a partial refund. I only got a partial refund and my fridge was never fixed.
On May 26th I contacted Appliance 911 to take a look at a refrigerator that had stopped cooling
On May 26th I contacted Appliance 911 to take a look at a refrigerator that had stopped cooling. They were able to get me scheduled the following day. As I was out of the country, most communications were via email. The tech responded and let me know that it was a bad compressor and would be $1000.67 to repair. I asked about warranty and was advised that it was out of warranty. When I returned home, I was able to check the warranty and compressor was covered (parts only) for 7 years. I sent an email about this and the response indicated that I was "miss informed" (sic) and they work on may products and this was my fault as well. I responded that they specifically call out LG refrigerators, etc. and then received 4 unprofessional emails involving name calling, etc. The last email seems to indicate I would be refunded for the cost of the compressor($400?) "I'm refunding u". It's been almost 3 months, but nothing. See attached documents/emails.
On 1/15, I had the broken keypad replaced on my double oven
On 1/15, I had the broken keypad replaced on my double oven. It worked for more than a year, but then it stopped working again. So, I called Appliance 911. They sent someone named *** to check it out. He was really nice and helpful, and he managed to get it working again for a little while. He looked at the receipt from the original service and told me that I had been charged way too much by ***. Apparently, *** got fired for doing the same thing to other people. I ordered the same part again, but it never arrived. This went on for many months! I talked to the owner, who promised me that they would fix the problem and give me a refund for the overcharge. I had several more conversations with the owner and other staff members, and they all reassured me that they would make things right. But they never did! Meanwhile, I didn't have an oven to use. And I'm 83 years old! Eventually, I gave in and bought an expensive toaster oven just to get by. The people at Appliance 911 didn't deny that there was a problem. They were all polite and kept telling me that they would take care of it. But in the end, they gave up on getting the part. And that was it for them. They stopped returning my calls. I finally had to replace my ovens altogether. I went a whole year without an oven, and I'm really disappointed and hurt by the way I was treated. I was so sure that they would do the right thing.
On 9/13, I got the heating thingy on my LG dishwasher replaced by Appliance 911
On 9/13, I got the heating thingy on my LG dishwasher replaced by Appliance 911. But guess what? The dishwasher didn't fill with water after that. I tried to reach out to the technician multiple times, but no luck. Then, finally, he showed up for an appointment, and he said the heating thingy was faulty and needed a new one. They fixed it on 9/29. But guess what again? The dishwasher still didn't wash the dishes, even though the original problem was just that the dishes weren't drying. I didn't want that technician to come back, so I called the office multiple times until I finally got to talk to the boss. He agreed to come himself and check out what was wrong. We scheduled an appointment for 10/7, but he didn't show up. Hours later, he texted me saying he had an emergency and asked to reschedule. I texted him again on 10/13 and 10/15, but he didn't reply. My dishwasher was still broken, so I called another company. They came on 10/26 and found out that the pump wasn't working now. Since my dishwasher was pretty old, I decided not to fix it and bought a new one instead. The new dishwasher was installed on 11/4. I think Appliance 911 should take responsibility for some, if not all, of the costs for the second repair and the new dishwasher. I had to stop two checks for payment, which cost me 70 bucks. I also paid 89.99 to At your service appliance. The total cost for the new dishwasher was 1285.62.
In April , Appliance 911 checked out our fridge and said the compressor was bad
In April , Appliance 911 checked out our fridge and said the compressor was bad. They swapped it with a different one and gave us a 2-year warranty. Turns out, there was a recall on the compressors for that model, but it had already expired in February. It cost us $1,390.33. The fridge broke down again in March 2022. Appliance 911 said it was leaking oil and cleaned it for free. But the problem kept happening over the next few months. Finally, the owner, ***, said if it broke again, he'd refund our money and we could go somewhere else or buy a new fridge. On October 31, the compressor failed again and stopped working the next day. *** confirmed our 2-year warranty and came to check it out. He said he couldn't do anything else and would refund our money. So, I bought a new fridge. But the promised check never came. We messaged back and forth, and he kept saying he mailed the check. Finally, just before Christmas, he gave us a check for $1,000. But he still owes us $390.33. When I contacted him about it, he got confrontational and said he already refunded enough. He called me names and used foul language. I just want him to keep his word and refund the full amount. Right now, they still owe me $390.33.
We first called Appliance 911 on February 8th 'cause our Samsung Dryer started makin' a loud noise
We first called Appliance 911 on February 8th 'cause our Samsung Dryer started makin' a loud noise. The guy came out on February 9th and said our dryer needed new rollers, pulley, belt & bearings. He said once those were replaced, we wouldn't have any more issues. We did a bunch of laundry between February 9th and February 13th, but then we started smellin' somethin' like a skunk. So we called Appliance 911 on February 14th and they sent the guy back out. On February 16th, he replaced one of the idlers but didn't know what was causin' the skunk smell. He even vacuumed out the vent as far as our vacuum could reach. They didn't charge us for the second visit. But a couple days later, the smell came back, so we called Appliance 911 again and the guy came out for a third visit on February 21st. When we called to schedule the third visit, we asked what we should do if we couldn't fix the smell. The person on the phone said we'd get a refund, minus the service fees. On February 23rd, we called to figure out how to get our refund. When the boss called us, he wanted us to spend more money on a different part 'cause he said it was a common problem, but that's not what we thought we had to do. The technician never recommended that part durin' any of the three visits. The boss was also really rude and unprofessional, callin' us ridiculous for askin' for a refund. Now we're out $530.97 that we could've used to buy a new dryer. They also held onto our check for almost three weeks, cashin' it the day after the third visit with the promise to refund us. We ain't never recommendin' or usin' this company again!
