Asda Stores very rude and abrupt trainee manager

i went into the edmonton asda store today to get some wellingto n boots and shoes for my two little daughters.they were trying on boots, shoes all very excited and happy.one is 5 and the other 8.this supposed to be trainee manager told a lady next to me to tidy the mess her children made whilst trying on the footwear, he was very rude indeed.then he had an aguemnet with her.anyway 5 mins later he did the same to me, i couldn, t believe it he was shouitng in front of everybody so obviously i shouted back.i have never ever come acrosssomebody like this in all my life whilst shopping.it was roughly 4 pm, 7/10/09 edmonton asda store.i hope this guy never becomes a proper manager, i complained to the manager in the store, she said she would sort it out.i hope she does.i don't think i will ever go to that asda store again unfortunately.it is their loss i have a large family and spend a lot on food and essentials.i hope to hear from you very soon.

I did an Asda online delivery for 14th July 5pm-7pm. I received the delivery with 6 items missing. I rang the asda online number [protected] which I found out 3 days later was actually based in South Africa. Spoke to numerous advisers on 3 separate days and they said they would issue £10 evoucher. They said they had spoken to the store manager in question Laura Jeffries but I spoke to her Tuesday evening and she advised me that no one had spoken to her and she wasn't even working Sunday Evening. She also advises that they are not in a position to issue evouchers. I finally reveiced my goods Wednesday Morning.

OK so I order my shopping from asda for between 10+12 it was then meant to come between 11-12pm. It was late then I missed 1 phone call from a number which I constantly tried to call back to see who it was. Finally 45minutes later they rang back saying it was the delivery driver saying that he couldn't get in to park so went and took my shopping back to the store! He didn't even knock on my door(which the could've done) or considering the drivers have sat nav he could've tried to find another way to get to me but didn't. So then I call customer service to complain and half way through the woman hung up on me! I am FUMING to say the least, I needed my shopping to feed my 5 year old little girl, they took my money but couldn't be added to try n get my shopping to me. Utterly disgraceful to say the least I am not happy at all

I went to asda to buy a birthday card and a present and some air freshener The item were all in the sale or i thought they were but when i went top the till the full prices came up when i mentioned this to staff they just said they were in the wrong place i was nearly ripped off by £15. Elderly and other people may not notice this. i was deeply shocked by the way the staff did nothing to compensate their mistake. I look at the price i should not have to stand and read the small tags. I will never go to that store again

Visited asda metrocentre gateshead today, I have a 7 week old baby who I am currently breastfeeding, I was appalled to find the nearly non existent feeding facilities this store provides for mothers who are breastfeeding. It is a large room with 2 baby changing areas a toilet and a chair which became apparent was the only provision for breastfeeding mothers. The chair is situated between the toilet which was clearly soiled and a nappy bin which must of been quite full as the smell was almost unbearable. I would say there wasn't even a metre between the toilet and the chair and bin was closer still. I did try to sit and feed my baby as I didn't really have an alternative place to go, and after sitting a few minutes all the lights went off and I was left in total darkness as they have some kind of motion sensor on them to save energy I suppose. Even so it was an absolute joke! The place was filthy, stinking and I had to interrupt my baby feeding every couple of minutes as the lights would go off! I became quite upset and stressed and so did my baby and I left half way through his feed it's an absolute disgrace. What set out as a quick trip to Asda ended in me rushing round the shop with a screaming 7 week old as I refused to sit in what was nothing more than a filthy toilet to feed my baby! They are lucky I went for essentials as I won't be visiting or spending another penny in their store!

Bought a DVD - New Moon Saga - costing £12.71 and I heard that the real rice on TV adverts stating it is £10.71.
I am sorry that why they charge different price in store comparing to the TV ad. This is how they make an extra cash by taking £2 more from people.
So people you need to check you receipts before you leave the store as they might charge you something more than the right price.

I am shocked and annoyed. Therefore I have forward this complaint to the Consumers Direct to investigate.

I visited Asda to purchase a mobile phone for a birthday present for a female relative i took what looks like a plastic book off the shelf and went to a desk to complete my purchase, i wanted a pink phone i asked one of the female assistants if pink was available, she said maybe but not in Asda, the colour i had was a lilac/purple i asked if the recipiant did not like the colour could i return the phone, yes, as long as the seal on the box is not broken, i was happy with the response and payed 80gbp, I got back in my car to deliver the present, she did not like the colour!(PIC ON BOX) i had a cup of tea and a chat and returned to asda with the phone and recipt, i carried the phone in my hand Asda did not even provide a bag, this is less than an hour after purchase(time on recipt 12.33) there was a queue of 3/4 people eventually i was seen i explained what had happened and what was said to the assistant upon purchase, she insected the box and could see the box was still sealed, she studied the box and noticed a small stain, you had to stare to see it, she then broke the seal on the box, the box contents had been replaced by someone, with rocks, i dont know how or when but not by me! i was shocked! she said i would have to take it up with the manufacturer L.G i replied, i had purchased the phone from Asda not L.G so it sureley must be there responsibility, she continued to argue so i demanded to see the store manager, who turned up 5 minutes later(a slim balding gentleman with a irish/canadian accent)i picked up the box and contents and showed him and told him i was shocked and disgusted, he said there was a bigger picture, a fraud had gone on somewhere along the line, and he would have to contact L.G no mention was made the fraud could be by Asda staff or when it has been in transit/warehouse, i felt the finger had started to point i felt humiliated in public! he asked for a phone number which i provided with my name they did, nt want my address but i left it after all i had nothing to hide, i asked what happens next? he said he would contact Asda house and phone me in 2 hours i asked would it be sorted today he replied yes.
I returned home and after some thought contacted trading standards who agreed that Asda where responsible and i should insist on a refund but to be fair give thm 2 hours to contact me.
Nothing was heard so at 5.30 i contacted Asda House in Leeds i spoke to a gentleman named Mark i told him how i felt he was full of appolagies and aranged a refund but said i must wait until 10ish that evening he had left instructions with the store.
Unfortunatley i was delayed and it was after 10 when i returnedi spoke to the duty manager who was willing but unable to refund as Asda have no acces to cash on the night shift because they run on self service tills, i asked if my wife could collect the refund as she was in town next morning this he agreed to.
Next morning my wife went to asda who said they had brought in the police to investigate a fraud she was shown box/contents she says only top of box was damaged, she telephoned me i drove to town and went to the police myself they knew nothing they even radioed round to see if anyone was looking for me, they was, nt i left and made my way back to my car, i spotted a policeman walking towards me from the direction of Asda i asked him if he knew anything, he said he had heard a bit of a story, i explained what had gone on he advised me to return to the store and he would come with me if i wanted, i agreed, after all i had nothing to hide, i was taken to a room and left for 10 minutes, alone. He returned with the store manager who was supposed to have seen me the day before, His accent had changed from irish/canadian to a Liverpudlian accent and he had gained a few stones in weight! He was unwilling to listen the box was produced the bottom of the box was now almost destroyed! i was arested, for so called fraud, later changed to theft, drugs tested, and locked up for hours. i need help i am a respectable 45 year old who has never stolen anything, nor would i, asda have blackened my good name, and im heartbroken.

Over the last 6 months the price of fuel has gone up 1p per litre on average every fortnight. In the last 2 weeks the price has risen 4p per litre, despite there being no corresponding increase in the price of crude oil, and no adverse weather to hide behind. Effectively profiteering by stealth. This is before the upcoming increase in VAT which asda will no doubt blame for high prices, or insist they will absorb into their artificially inflated prices. Makes them look like good guys. They should be boycotted. Tesco is 3p per litre cheaper and will be getting all my future business, By the way. Don't try and complain to asda. That link on their website doesn't work. Convenient for them

Do not use asda direct or home delivery network limited (Hdnl)!
Yet again asda direct have not delivered. Ordeer date 27/11/2017 expected delivery date 01/12/2017
By home delivery network. Parcel not delivered so I rang them back after no contact from them on the 8/12/10 and arranged redelivery for the 13/12/2017 waited in all day no delivery. Rang them back to be told the cant find my parcel and to get back onto asda. Rang asda back 15/12/2017 told they would investigate and ring me back within the hour, 2 days later no phone call, rang them back to be told they had not done anything, spent the next 55 minutes on the phone at 5ppm whilst the contacted hdnl, then told they would not issue a new parcel because of the problems with delivery, and they refunded the full amount. So thank you asda and home delivery network limited for f*g my sons christmas up. To all who read this do not use asda direct or home delivery network they are useless!

Asda Stores shocking experience with store manager

On the 15th Sept 2009 my partner who leaves in Blackburn decided to take me to ASDA where i always go for my full household shopping after picking my daughter up from school. My daughter and I leave in Bolton (great lever) near by this ASDA store. As my partner got told about the great offer about the Fairy washing liquid offer of "buy 2 for 1£", we used the opportunity to benefit from the great deal, so 1st we asked a member of staff what the purchase guidelines were and got told that 6 bottles per household were permitted, so my partner got 6 for his mother and i got 6 for myself, getting to the till we got dealt with a new cashier who was yet learning scanning items, so i explained to her that my partner was purchasing is 6 Fairy liquid bottles and i was separetely buying mine as we used 1 shopping trolley! so out of nowhere a "suposedly" manager butted in with absolutely no communication skills and even less costumer CARE skills ordered me rudely exactely this way "put all the items on the belt", i straight away answered to her" i was talking to the cashier!" she just walked OFF but no to far from us! while this first negative approach happened the cashier had already took transaction from my partner and started scanning the next costumer's items leaving me with still my Fairy liquid bottles on the side of the till so we quickly told her that she missed out on my shopping and she apologised and asked me to queue up again behind the costumer which we did! the awkward "manager" was stood near by with a body language "looking for troubles", so while we were queuing up she had sent a staff to order the cashier not to sell me my Fairy liquid bottles with no explainations!i then followed the saff while my partner and my daughter was still waiting at the till. I explained to that member of staff that my partner had bought his own Fairy liquid bottles and that i was going to purchase my own! and reinforced the fact that we were respecting the purchase guidelines of "6 bottles per household", she understood but needed consent from the bad mannered "manager" who straight away got into my conversation with that member of staff, , , so while i was kindely explaining to her what had gone on she again cut me right in what i was trying to say and got personal and treated me like a thief telling me rudely"i just saw you! you went through with YOUR PARTENER! i replied to her that wasnt the point!as i was trying again to reset what had happened she was just shutting me up!my partner witnessing her bad `behaviour walked straight towards us and asked what was the problem so she AGAIN recited the same lines...talking to us like thieves " you went through as partner..."I replied to her that she was being personal and PRESUMING for the sake of being awkward!as how she knew wether we were a couple or some other link!I couldnt beleive that we even had to "certify" that we were not even leaving together to purshase Fairy liquid bottles "pathetic", i that point i just could not take in what was happening, she was personal, descriminating towards us"..my partner wouldnt accept it and swore at the situation, thats when she grabbed the perfect occasion to make herself known by saying" right im not being sworn at, im calling the security guard and awww ya im aswell ringing the police" my partner replied to her "just do it what have i done" by then she made a big scene in the store asking the security gard to escort my partner outside the store, , i was having none of it but yet i tried again with a calm and controlled voice to tell her that from the biginning she was set minded to make problems with us out of anything as we just could not communicate with her and that her body language was reflecting it so well!another member of staff got next to her and said "at the end of the day your partner should have not swore" i replied to her that surely he should have not swore but what right she had to behave this way!but none of my words got listened to as they just kept saying"we ordering you to leave the store...WE ORDERING YOU TO LEAVE THE STORE...again and again! i was fuming then as the manager added" i will make sure your banned from the store", , walking away from her i pointed to her that i would shop again here even though she well put me OFF shopping in this ASDA which was so convenient to me>>>she added "WILL SEE". the only thing she had "managed" was making a scene! i still cant beleive how "DIABOLICAL" she was! ASDA advertise how cheap their products are but so is the costumer service. we still havent managed to reach anybody at ASDA head office in LEEDS as we tried to contact them straight after the unfair incident! something is sure i wont let this go without a complaint put against the store manager.
It affected me so bad that i couldnt even find my sleep over it as my brain would not stop playing continiously what had gone on!

Asda Stores policies

I wrote to ASDA to comment on what I considered was an unfair and illogical policy. They replied, ignoring most of the issues in my letter, saying that they HAD changed the policy concerned. Shortly after getting the reply I noted that they had not done anything. I approached the store manager, having received the reply and found that they had not provided the service I had commented on, only to be told that the policy HAD changed and that what I had experienced was a regrettable error. I then wrote back to their Customer Services, in Leeds, to express my concerns, disbelief and scepticism. To date I have not received a reply. When they read my second letter they probably rolled about laughing for a while whilst thinking do we give a damn?

I dared to challenge what looked like a blatant effort, on their part, to put financial concerns above customer service and their silence, so far, speaks volumes. As long as money keeps going into their pockets why should they worry about keeping their customers happy? Their web site (under "contact us") says that they want to hear comments in order to improve. In my experience they will hear but that is where it stops! The reply I received clearly stated that their policy had been changed in my favour and it hasn't!

That's one of the blessings of being in a non-regulated industry you have nobody (except your shareholders) to answer to. Their attitude appears to be one of "put up with it or shut up" & "if you don't like it tough" - we don't care!

Prove me wrong ASDA!

Asda Stores shocking experience

The last straw was when I recieved my two fresh brocoli with maggots on. I called to complain (customer services in South Africa), was only offered a refund for the brocoli and told the store manager would call me back the next day. Which didn't happen. Still haven't heard a thing - that was four weeks ago. I did one more order with them to give them the benefit of the doubt - two exploded yoghurts (big pots) in a shopping bag with other bits and a week and a half later, they STILL haven't taken the money out of my account for the shopping. this is because, as the lovely South African lady said, with plenty of laughter and noise in the background, 'we reserve the right to take up to 16 days to debit your account'. So our budgeting is up the creek!

The customer service is diabolical - I know Asda is cheap but it's no excuse to have crap food.

Asda Stores items marked half price but charged at full price

I visited your store today 26th july in bootle store no 5849, I was very disappointed as i went to purchase a jacket that was reduced at half price, when i went to the checkout to pay for the item it came up as full price, when i imformed your employee of this she made out that i was a liar, I told her that all the jackets were reduced and had labels on them to show that they were reduced. She just ingnored me and would not sell me the jacket a the half price, i left your store very upset as i was belittled as there were more customers behind me waiting to be served. I am a very valued customer as i spend a lot of money at this store between three to four hundred pounds a week if not more on food, toiletries, nappies and george clothing. I left your store very upset as you know that when you have items reduced at half price you have to sell them at that price because its breaking the law. I am at two minds weither i will shopp at any of your stores again, i only live 2 minutes walk form the bootle branch which is very handy for me, but if i have to i will go to other stores like tesco, iceland. yours sincerely Miss Mary H enry 10 GEMINI CLOSE BOOTLE L20 4TD

so sorry to hear that, did u get the name of the person who served you? they should have called a manager over or someone in charge to clarify what has happened, if all the items had them stickers on and have not been reduced then its a mistake at the stores end and should infact be sold at the price what is advertised (half price) u can report this to customer services or speak to the manager of George clothing there. hope this helps

Asda Stores misleading signage

Who wouldn't be taken in by this supermarket's blatantly misleading signage? It's quite clear from the video that ANY 2 cans of these tomatoes cost £1. But in fact not one can shown is actually in this offer! How many shoppers have the time to check for scams like this at the chekouts? How much money must scams like this be making ASDA?

Asda Stores Half where sausage rolls. Had a Vegetarian stamp on.

I purchased a box of 12 mini cheese and onion rolls from Asda Southgate bakery dept. I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years, and the rolls sported a V stamp ensuring me that no animal products had been used to make them. I ate one - for the first time in 25 years I have eaten meat, and my friend also a vegetarian, admittedly more staunch than myself on the issue, also consumed a sausage roll without realizing and once it was pointed out, was physically sick with
disgust.
I reported this abuse to the superstore to receive a pathetic apology and a £10 gift voucher as what they called a "goodwill gesture" from the head of the bakery when I had in fact written to the manager. I wrote back exclaiming my dissatisfaction with the so called compensation. Not only did I want conclusive assurance that this couldn't possibly happen again, but, I explained, would expect something little more significant than a £10 gift voucher to be offered to compensate with the distress that I had been caused in being duped into consuming animal offal for the first time in all these years.

A year ago the same store had refused to refund or exchange a TV we had purchased from them which wouldn't turn on when we got it home, because we hadn't kept the receipt. We had shopped there for the last 15yrs, all of the staff know us, and yet the manager had downright refused our plea. I wrote to the Asda Head Office about it and was told that on such circumstances it was down to the manager of the store to decide - so it is not just general policy. She just didn't want to let us have another TV.
So with the sausage roll incident, I suggested in a letter that if they wanted to make a goodwill gesture, could they please now replace the TV which they had origially refused to exchange.

I have recieved no reply. I wrote again anticipating that the letter had for some reason not been received. Still I was ignored.

I am a patron of The Vegetarian society' - I present awards for them at the Savoy once a year as I am a TV celebrity ( my stage name is Emma Wray - I used to be in 'Watching' and many other sit coms). I am wondering wether to take this further and use my contacts in the TV industry to bring attention to the despicable way I feel I have been treated. Obviously they think I will just go away, but I also think they'll wish they had settled for replacing the TV by the time I have had my say.

Yours

Gillian Wray

I purchased the Christmas dvd Elf which is the brilliant advertising campaign this year.

It says it includes the dvd and a digital download, brilliant I thought!

However on opening the box the dvd is old stock because the digital download must be redeemed by 31/12/2019, oops!

Hoping you can help!
