Let me tell you my story. I've been married for over 42 years now and I love my wife, but I wanted a bit more excitement in my life. So, about 15 years ago, I decided to step out and meet someone online. I signed up for Ashley Madison and had a fling with a woman for 15 years. We met infrequently over the years to hike and have sex outdoors. It was thrilling, but looking back, it wasn't worth it.

Two years ago, I met a young college girl online who wanted money for college. We met a couple of times, and I gave her some money. We kissed once in a park, but I never saw her again because I felt like she just wanted my money. I also met a girl online a few years ago and carried on a friendship with her for two years. We backpacked together on one occasion, but there was no sex involved. However, this encounter was also hurtful to my wife because I was having a relationship with a woman outside our marriage, even if it wasn't sexual, and I lied to my wife saying I was hiking alone.

Most recently, I tried to arrange a trip with a girl 40 years my junior to another city. I was willing to pay for her airfare and entertainment, and I asked if we could sleep together. Then she asked for more money. I never thought that paying for someone to meet me like this is probably prostitution, and since I don't know the person at all, I suppose it would also be possible that someone else could be controlling her and taking any money from her from an encounter like this. Certainly not a good situation.

Eventually, my wife found out about my long-term affair and the other girls. Yes, I am still married because I care very much for my wife and want this never to happen again. She is a much better person than I am. Was it worth the excitement? No, it was not. I should have talked to my wife and opened up communication channels better than I did and had that exciting time with her. So, I am working on opening up with her more than I did in the past, hoping every day that she will accept me back.

My wife made me get tested for STDs, and it turns out that having that sexual affair caused genital warts. I have always been a very independent person. From the time I was a young kid, I did my own thing. Getting married, I did not realize how important it was to share everything, including my deepest thoughts about everything with the one person I promised to share everything with. But my independence was a problem. I did not realize, I just didn't understand that independence is not a one size fits all process. And I also did not understand that in a marriage, there is give and take from everyone. Not everyone is as independent as I am. That doesn't make them wrong, me right, and in a marriage, both people have valid thoughts and should be heard. I was too selfish to consider my wife's feelings and how my choices would impact her.

Why would I do this? To regain my youth? Because I was only thinking of me? For a thrill? To escape the stresses of life? Probably all of those. I certainly enjoy life and want to enjoy life for the rest of my life. And yes, doing this was certainly not thinking of my wife's desires and plans for life. I got sidetracked and am glad my wife is as smart as she was to know how to look and find out what I was trying to hide from her. I am grateful that I was discovered, though I feel awful and foolish, because I was headed down a very dangerous and destructive path. I am fortunate that my wife is helping me. She is angry and extremely hurt, but I will work hard on getting back on track and think of her, and only her. It's terrible that having to hurt my wife so deeply was the way for me to get my wakeup call. I should have listened to my wife when she reached out to me, and I shouldn't have been so arrogant to ignore her and do my own thing.

I have to admit, I have mixed feelings about Ashley Madison. On one hand, I'm pretty angry that I got ripped off, but on the other hand, I'm kind of impressed at how well they've managed to pull off this scam. They really seem to have thought of everything, from the advertising to the fake reviews to the web design to the fake female profiles. They've created the illusion of a legitimate, trustworthy website that's well-established as the go-to spot for extramarital hookups, and they've done it all without slipping up on a single detail.

I'm not a stupid guy, and I've never paid for a dating website before. I can usually detect when something's fishy, but in a moment of weakness, I let my guard down and forked over $75 of my hard-earned money to these crooks. What makes this site so believable is the attention to detail. They've gone to incredible lengths to create the image of a legitimate site, and they've backed it up with fake review websites and extensive search engine manipulation. They've even taken to sites like Reddit, Quora, AskMen, and YouTube to control the information available to prospective users.

Once you create a free profile, you'll be impressed with the abundance of females in your area. The profiles seem totally believable, with no set patterns or otherwise alarming clues. It seems as random as the real world would actually produce. But don't get too excited, because they're all fake profiles being manipulated by offsite contractors. After a few days of your free membership, you'll probably see a couple of messages in your inbox, but they're just generic auto-generated messages designed to make you think you have a personal message from a user when in fact you don't.

At this point, their scam is working perfectly. You'll think you've found the platform you've been searching for, and your guard will be completely down. The only thing left to do is buy some credits and start messaging. Unfortunately, the cost of credits is steep, and they're not exactly transparent about how much they'll cost you. I exchanged a $75 gift card for 145 credits, thinking that would go quite a ways. But in reality, every message you send to a new person, whether they message first or not, will cost you 9 credits. Every single message after that will cost you 5 credits, and they have a premium message feature that will hit you for 14 credits if you're not careful.

Within the first two hours of buying credits, I was already down to less than 100. I read four measly messages and sent three. What a complete rip-off. That was the point when I realized I'd been swindled, but I continued using the site anyway since I'd already forked over the money. It wasn't until later that I realized that 99% of the female profiles were actually fake. The people off-network who are creating and operating these phony female profiles are true professionals. They know how to create a very authentic and realistic facade. The only real thing that gives them away are their behavior patterns, which are the same across vastly different profiles.

I'm not just some butt-hurt user who's mad because I couldn't get any attention from women. I'm telling you 100% that it's a scam. They do such a great job selling their legitimacy, and I know they're exactly what you're looking for, but it's just a fact. Fraud is fraud, regardless of the moral/social inference associated with an affair website. Someone somewhere is making millions of dollars under false pretenses, and it's allowed to happen. It really makes you wonder who else is getting away with it.

I decided to check out Ashley Madison after hearing numerous complaints of fraud. As a guest on the site, I immediately received a message from an attractive woman in her 30s from Pennsylvania. However, when I did an image search of her picture, I found that it was actually from cocomilfs.com, wonderfulmature.com, and other adult websites. This led me to play a little game and search for other profile pictures on AM. To my surprise, I found that many of the images were actually stolen from other websites, including saltwater-dreaming.com, boobies-world.com, jenniferfernandis.in, chicasbonitas-jessica.blogspot.com, planetsuzy.org, pinterest.com, paintnite.com, and aceshowbiz.com.

It's clear that AM is creating fake profiles using images of women they have found on the web. This is a scam and it's outrageous that they are getting away with it. It's also illegal to use someone's image without their permission. I strongly advise the actresses whose photos are being used on this site to sue Ashley Madison. It's obvious why they are doing this - not enough women sign up for the site and all of their revenue is generated by men. To manage this problem, they create thousands of fake profiles and send messages from these profiles to lure in customers.

It's disappointing to see that this is the site that has been featured on Dr. Phil, Tyra, CNN, The View, Ellen, Larry King, and Good Morning America. It's important for people to be aware of this scam and to not fall for it.

I am a genuine, real lady who created a new account with Ashley Madison. I was on for a few months, then all of a sudden my account was suspended. I created a new account and after less than 2 months, my account was suspended. I've emailed [protected]@ashleymadison numerous times with absolutely no response. I created a new account again, uploaded a picture, started my bio, then all of a sudden the account was suspended. My first two accounts did quite well with messages and conversations so I know AM was making money on the men.

A couple of days ago I signed up cause the wife and I decided it would be fun. This morning I finally caved and bought credits to actually message women. Then my account got suspended. I tried logging in through the website and my IP address has been blocked. Seriously glad I only paid 13 for the 50 promo credits...but seriously how the hell are you going to block/suspend my account without even giving me an opportunity to use your service?

This company charges outrageous prices for credits to which they give no instructions as to how they are spent. I was not aware they charge, by default, a premium message rate and you have to physically choose normal message. Needless to say I burned through credits unknowingly and come to find out all of the ones I contacted were bots. This site also throws fake accounts at you hoping to get you to use credits to receive messages. When requesting a refund they offered to prorate my 8 credits back and would not provide anything other than an automated email. Scam!

Ashley Madison is the biggest scam I have came across and the worst part is despite of so many support messages and email, and getting NO RESPONSE.

Firstly, I bought $64.99 credits, and they charge one-off fee for mobile service which is $24.99 and charged me in total of $89.98 for 100 credits.

I have had received few messages and I collected it for 5 credits, and realised they were scam. After which, I tried to respond to see the ones which seemed reasonably legit profile, and without my attention they were sent as 'Priority Message' which used 13 credits.

Within 5 minutes, my credits were all gone and fake profiles kept messaging me. So then I tried calling them but there is no contact number provided. I then tried to email them several times but no response.

Instead, after all this Ashley Madison had audacity to temporarily suspend my account. WORST COMPANY EVER! Female users don't spend money while the male users do to view and send messages from fake profiles.

I have never asked anyone for money or anything like that, I have followed the rules and you can check my account Finna j, but for a reason I don’t quite understand my account is kicked out, am not sure what to do, this is the second time it has happened.

I have been on this site less than 2 days and suddenly, I'm blocked or suspended. I have not done anything wrong! They say it will take 5 business days to fix. Nothing. I tried another account, well, they blocked that too. Just as I was getting acquainted. I've read other complaints by women that have had the same issue. I have done no solicitation, no going to other chat sites, I got one email from someone. So, come on, this issue should be able to be fixed in less than a couple hours and the don't take phone calls.

I have just joined Ashley Madison. I am a chubbier girl and this is the only reason I can assume my account was suspended. I read all of their terms and conditions and I broke none of their rules. There is no genuine reason for my account to be suspended. This just seems like a prejudiced company that they have no interest in having girls who dont fit their standards on their site.

I had signed up as a new member and received 200 points. I accessed their online service and what was advertised as a dating site was not at all what was actually on their website. The few members I had expereiced there after using 63 points were scam members (Africa) and cam entertainers who were not real and not there for the site's intension.

I had disputed through the charge through PayPal the amount of $59 until I could get the issue resolved or refunded through Ashley Madison.

The Ashley Madisin customer service informed me that they could not resolve the matter unless I closed the charge dispute. In the meantime my Ashley Madison account was locked and it could no longer be accessed. My remaining 137 points and service was unavailable.

I went and closed the dispute and then two days latter I received an email from Ashley Madison customer support that they won the dispute and they will not give a refund. On top of that my account is also unavailable, the remaing points I had could not be accessed.

So Ashley Madison has not only commited deception but also fraud and theft.

A 29 year old woman from manhattan contacted me on this app. She wanted to

Have online sex with me before committing to a relationship. She apparently recorded the whole thing and threatened to send it to all my contacts on Facebook this would of devastated me so she initially wanted $1500

Which it was agreed that I only had to pay $500. After I wired $500 to the Philippines she came back and demanded another $350. I’m a widowed male just looking for a relationship. You can’t trust this website.

I’ve recently joined this site in hopes of finding a good friend. At first I was not very responsive, but lately I’ve been talking to some nice people on there. I do not know what I did, but when I shared my contact information with someone I got suspended! Is that a rule I missed? Was I not supposed to share that? I am a genuine female that was using the site. Was on it for a week and got suspended without warning or reason. I did not breach anything in their contract. I just turned down a lot of men that I didn't find attractive. I was engaged in conversation with a few and out of nowhere got suspended. I am very concerned that this site is a scam to make as much money as they can off of these desperate men looking for relationships. I just feel like it's a scam and desperate men are being extorted essentially. Going to have to find another platform.

I had an acct recently suspended I'm not sure why but I'm trying to fix it I accidentally had 2 accounts when j made the first I couldn't get in I made another and could I'm bad with remembering username and passwords. I tried contaxting them right away. It takes 5 business days to grt anywhere with the customer support. I deactivated my account and it somehow appeared yesterday and the man I was seeing left me because of it cuz he thought I was looking again. I wasnt! I didnt reactivate my account! I dont know what happened but now I lost someone I cared about because of it. This is ridiculous and I am super upset that this happened.

Never had this much success with a dating site ever in my life! you won't meet so many chicks on all other platforms. The main thing is to use it correctly - just use search filters, there are many options there. The reply rate is very high. By the time I get home I usually have at least 5 replies. I had 2 dates last week and both of them were hot and spicy just what I was looking for. But apparently it's not something you can easily find an AshleyMadison. AshleyMadison was a totally useless money-draining experience.

My account was abruptly suspended without being given any information as to why. This has actually costed me a relationship that I spent weeks developing. I have always been a respectful user. From other reviews I have just read this seems to be a common problem for female users. It is a well known fact that the number of male users far out weighs the number of females. Therefore the site is happily taking the money from their male users and at the same time...randomly eliminating female users for no reason. Before you spend one credit messaging someone:

1 - Look at and SAVE on clear profile picture.

2 - Crop it down to a nice portrate sized photo.

5 - [Search Similar Images] - Blue Button

6 - In [Results] click [Check Images] under Yandex

It may not find any matching images, but when it does, it is blatenly obvious that they have snagged these photos from: Instagram, Facebook or other WebSite if they photos are on a professional WebSite.

It is rediculous that Ashley Madison does not validate images and check them against a REVERSE IMAGE SEARCH.

They don't want use men to learn and shy away from the site because the would lose revenue.

I'd only been on actually Madison for a couple of days I was talking to some people and we met up and there was some really nice people that I met. Then suddenly I try to get back on with no reason they have temporarily suspended my account I'm not able to get back on now and talk to the friends that I had met I'm very upset because there was nothing that I've done I am a 56 year old female can you please just

I signed up and paid for an Ashley Madison membership but am not able to communicate to perspective contacts. In trying to communicate, expensive "credits" are used with absolutely no communication or contact with others in the Ashley Madison member system. It looks as if I will spend around $200 for nothing. I complained to Ashley Madison Customer Service by email, phone mail, and speaking with them at length. They told me my problems were resolved but I still con not communicate with others in the program.

- it’s the only platform that gives real hook ups, I mean real offline thing. AshleyMadison is not worth the money. They may have a dozen or so of real women but it’s really difficult to find them cause you have to sift through hundreds of scammers. Usually it’s easy to say that she is a scammer, but I believe some people may be more naïve and they can easily fall victim to this fraud. So just avoid AM!

I’ve tried 2 nights in a row to contact Ashley Madison at 8 pm. Both times the recorded messsge stated the office was closed and yo call back during regular office hours. You advertise 24/7 service but aren’t providing it. I also can’t log into the site as it says my user name is already in use. I need to cancel and get out of this site. It’s been very poor.
