Dine in service
We have been two a&w locations in this week as dine in customers and have noticed that the drive thru customers get preferential service over the dine in customers. All staff focus on getting the drive thru orders our asap while ignoring the dine in customers waiting to place their orders. We walked out in frustration both times. Totally unacceptable.
Desired outcome: Some staff should be serving dine in customers not everyone serving drive thru. Our money is just as green.

I ordered breakfast to take out from drive through after waiting for over 10 mins when the food was delivered The bag with the food was open could not close wide open "the waitress said only the bread was exposed. The coffee was warm, looks like the has brown was sitting for a few days reheated socking in oil soggy and thrown over the egg. I threw it out with the coffee made my own coffee. Cost 11.14$ The food was horrible. The service very poor> I am annoyed. I should have gone over to Amy's and have a lovely breakfast for $1.50 more no headaches. Overall attention to customer service
At around 11 am, I spent over 5 min waiting at the counter for a warm body to appear. I could see a man and woman wearing headsets at the back of the resto chatting and there was no one at the drive thru
I waved several times and called out with no success - I finally went to the gas station connected to the resto and bought something to eat there in

Further to my complaint about the service, the bathroom was atrocious, only one cabin was functioning and the resto stank of an unemptied septic system. On the way out, I tried to use the handicapped aid for door opening and the outer door stuck and did not open
Sausage and egged combo
Today May 30th at approximately 1250pm Ordered a sausage and egger combo. The egg was so old it was very rubbery and black. Sausage was also thin and dry. Went back to complain and was told the egg was freshly cooked! Seriously could not believe she said that when it was so obvious

Lack of staff
I travel the 401 corridor between Windsor and London Ontario frequently for work. There are a few things I've noticed about the Dutton OnRoute that are concerning for me. I don't understand why customers are being turned away from the counter. Managers are instructing the staff to direct the customers to the kiosks. They are being told that they must use the kiosk provided. You have travellers that may not be literate enough to use these devices. You are forcing them to go elsewhere or disclose their disabilities in public. I am disappointed in the lack of compassion shown to the patrons.
The other concern I have is the number of staff. I waited behind a gentleman in line, who was verbally accosting the girl at the counter. She offered to get a supervisor/manager to speak with him. She went to get someone but she returned and said she couldn't find anyone available. (I witnessed her walking the floor looking for someone). This should not be happening, they should be protected from customers such as this. That will not happen so long as the management remain invisible/unavailable. Workers being alone increase the chance of physical abuse by patrons, and brings morale down. When I see 1 person working, they are at risk.
I hope A&W will take care of the issues Ive brought forward, it would be nice to see the workers less stressed, and smiling again.
Desired outcome: Would like to see customers being personally served and not turned away. Should they not have enough staff, hire more. Train the staff in how to deal with verbally abusive patrons

I was with my daughter at Woodgrove Mall in Nanaimo
B.C. and we ordered 2 chubby chicken burgers 15+ $'s asked for a water and was denied telling me I had to play 25cents... I am sorry I have never heard of this before when purchasing food.. The front counter girl was rude and the dirty looks were not nessasarily..

Printed coupons from computer - not accepted
We went to A & W Restaurant on Taschereau boul., Brossard, Quebec Canada at 1:30 pm. Presented a coupon printed from the computer and was told they do not accept them. The only coupons they accept are the ones that come in the mail. I told the girl that I never get coupons in the mail and in the past have always used digital coupons printed from the computer. She repeated that her boss told her not to accept them. I did not order my lunch there - I crossed the street and ordered at Wendy's - at least their coffee and tea is free for seniors . Unfortunately I will not order from A & W anymore ( as I never receive coupons in the mail) and have mentioned it to all my senior friends.
I am very disappointed in the way A & W treats their seniors.

Canada on April 30 I bought a chicken BLT combo. Obviously the burger didn’t look like the picture at all. Which is fine at this point. There was literally one bacon strip wilted into a lump. No sauce whatsoever. The lettuce was okay. And the bun also tasted acidic. They charged me like almost 20 bucks for what?
The customer service was also not very good. I mean there wasn’t much to do honestly just take the order properly. Maybe answer my question calmly. She just made a face the moment I asked her about the price of the fries. “The condescending look”.
I work in customer service too. People don’t know everything that you know about the store so obviously they are Hoo to ask questions why make a face?
May be she ruined my burger on purpose.
Guess we’ll never know.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund of my food and the burger made properly the next time I visit the store which I probably might not atleast that location.

My husband went back to complain and the mng was called and told he has to come back TOMORROW to have anything done .

Staff attitude
I went to a&w malaysia rnr sungai buloh bawah jejantas last wednesday on 26 april 2023, around 6 to 7 in evening. I would like to file a complaint about the rudenest of the cashier and the staff at this restaurant I really hope you can solve this quickly. I went to order with my mom because haven’t eat a&w in a long times with our happy feeling going to the cashier. My mom was ordering first for me but the staff questioned my mom in a rude way and with the disgusting eyes, I feel bad for my old mom but she continues ordering the food, the way the staff talk, attitude, and vibes are really not chill and very rude and full arrogant with “bit*h face” im sorry. I need to mention it. End up I feel bad for my mom and I continue order for both of us but the cashier keep give a and attitude with the eyes rolls and a sigh from her mouth, I swear we didn’t take so long around 15-20 sec because we feel so much uncomfortable that time. But I ask my mom to sit at the table and its only me to waiting the orders. I was waiting and standing there didn’t give back an same attitude because I was feel really really really mad that time but I’m still quite because we just wanted to ordering food but we get that service but it’s okay. I’m standing and seeing another old couples taking an order they take a bit times only 1-2 minutes because they are wany to confirm each other what to eat. But the staff and come another staff give this two old couples same energy as they give to me. They pushing the old couples with words and give an really bad attitude with sour face oh my I can really feel pressure in their eyes. They not even helping them? But the two staff just pointing at the menu board with silent mouth and rude way. I feel really and I swear that times really not that packs. I know every jobs is difficult but it’s our job as a customer service to make them happy or feel comfortable. Atleast talk nicely don’t give an attitude. The cashier and the other staff is a female snd both of them really be souting and order number to me while I just standing infront of them and they really hit a bit hard for my food and I’m really bad, they should be thankful I’m not going make a scene there. Battitude through drive through
I went to number to 287 1607 Idlewild Dr., Saskatoon today the cashier was Regina and I didn’t have an issue with her having issue with the girl who is packing my bag of food. When I put my order in there was a big NW truck that was parked beside me and the girl at the intercom couldn’t hear me very well anymore than I could hear her and I told her I needed lettuce wrapped burgers, so just to make sure when I finally got up to the window hoping that my order wasn’t ready because I’m pretty sure they didn’t hear me and I asked her if she heard that I needed lettuce wrap burgers, the other girl that was working there said it’s already made like yelling at me and I told them that there was a truck there I am coeliac I had no other option
There was no one else in the store and the other girl who yelled at me saying it was already made called me a [censored]ing [censored] and the girl at the window shoved my food in my face practically
Desired outcome: You decide what please what do I deserve of compensation plus no tomato on mine but on my coeliac sisters there was way to much dressing and those girls need some shaping up Bad customer service
Food poisoning
My husband ate a hamburger (double mozza burger) from A&W opened 24 hours at around 2 am last night. Currently he is suffering (it’s 7 am EST) from food poisoning. He is in and out of washroom for last hour, has diarrhea, strong cramps, abdominal pain, feels weak and cold! He believes the hamburger meat was either undercooked or heated multiple times.
Desired outcome: I would like an APOLOGY, REFUND and make sure that A&W night shift is handling food properly to avoid food poisoning of other customers. No way we will ever eat there again!
Route 90 near red river college, a&w
I visited the A&W on route 90 near red river college in Winnipeg with my wife last night. When we received our order, the onion rings were just barely warm, no big deal, I took them up to the counter and informed the employee of the situation. I was told, that they were in fact made fresh, and were hot. I said, “no, they are not hot, they are barely Luke warm and a little stale”
I offered for her to try one for herself, she said, “no, why would I try your onion rings”
I said, “because you're telling me the onion rings are hot, when in fact they are not”
I asked for a new order, and was told, “no, you already ate some”
Fair, I did have a few before thinking to myself,“ why am I choking down cold onion rings?”
Anyway, I kept my cool, didn’t make a scene, threw out my cold onion rings (my wife’s fries were also cold, but apparently that’s not up for debate) and made a solemn pact to never again exchange my hard earned money for a sub par A&W product again.

The staff ( Ms. Ang) wearing dark blue was so rude when she approach us on how to collect the drinks. I was a first timer as a customer in that branch, and she was so rude. She even bang the tray in front of us. She was so rude and no good customer service. She is not a good asset to the company if you have this kind of staff. So dissapointing.

Scam by A&W
This happened at A7W #1579 PC Ellerslie. My receipt number is 6047573 and I ordered a Spicy Habanero Combo which is $12.48with a coupon for the combo for $7.99. However, after paying, i checked my account and realised that i paid almost full amount and received only 30 Cents. So, i went inside the store and ask the associate about the charge and her excuse was that she only punches orders. How oblivious can a person can be at their work that clearly a person providing coupon for different amount and after applying she is still charging me regular price and doesn't notice that. I want to ask that, who is responsible for this fraud. You are providing the coupons and still charging the same. I am very disappointed with the service and the associates response as i don't expect this from a brand with huge reputation in the market. in, addition, I personally think an audit should be called to find out, how many order have been processed like mine.

Unprofessional behavior
I was reprimanded by an A&W Store Supervisor at the A&W Albion store in Etobicoke. The store supervisor rudely advised me that I am not allowed to take a selfie picture inside the store. Second occurrence happened when the store supervisor was at the counter to take my order. I reminded her about what happened before and turned her back on me and yelled at her staff to take my order. I am willing to come forward and meet with a Regional or an Area Manager to personally confront the situation. I work at RioCan across the A&W store in Albion Rd., Etobicoke. Jan 21, 2023 - A&W shady business practice of hidden cost. Example: Price of tea regular $1.75, then an extra $0.20 because I wanted peppermint tea (which by the way I never got, I was given black tea). So basically, I paid $1.75 for boiling water and the tea bag is extra! Don't call it tea if the tea bag is extra. So now you secretly are advertising for basic food and attach extra cost for items the customer assumed was included in that original price. Isn't that false advertising! My receipt is attached herein as proof. Customers beware of snakes and check your receipts!
Desired outcome: Govt to fine them on behalf of all the customers they are reaping off with false advertising!
