unauthorised payment of lifetime subscription.
So I'm sitting last week and an email comes through. Congratulations you have lifetime subscription "free" to Badoo. Instantly something didn't feel right as I wasn't even on badoo as I very very rarely am.
I goes straight into my bank and followed my intuition, and there it was £119 sitting waiting to be took out my account, I directly contacts by email as this is some kind of mistake which should be sorted out straight away, no it wasn't, I have not went anywhere near it since as I am sickened by this blatant theft. I will not be giving up on this as there should also be a 14 day cooling off period. Which shouldn't even apply to me as I never authorised any payment as I'm not interested in the slightest.
Trust me I will not be giving up. You really don't want a disgusting, untrustworthy, deceitful, blatant thieves etc name about yourselves. Because that's the way it's heading.
I want my money back, I will not give up, I have morals of what's right and what's wrong, clearly you don't. I will take this all the way, I'm not getting robbed. This is my payment screen I have been completely shut out, there is no options now with subscriptions or my details. It's shocking.
That screen has just appeared over the last week. When I got robbed for £119. Disgusting.
badoo premium
I accidentally purchased a lifetime subscription to Badoo premium for about 140$ CAD. I only meant to buy it for a month. I really cannot afford this. I have been trying to get in touch with customer support but I haven't had any answers yet. I really need this money to make ends meet and pay my bills. Can I be refunded the difference and charged for just one month please. I really cannot afford this.

premium subscription
I impulsively bought a lifetime subscription to Badoo premium services for £120.
I wrongly thought that this very high outlay would cover all potential costs of using Badoo. However, I quickly found out that Badoo expected ms to fork out even more for 'credits' to contact other people.
When after a couple of days I asked for a partial refund this was flatly refused by Badoo.
UK and European law gives 14 days to cancel membership and be refunded. Why does Badoo not know about / comply with this?
services
Never ever use the Badoo. Do not even download this app on your phone ever. Badoo did unauthorizedly charged the credit card $131 dollars after I just downloaded their app on my smartphone! After I report the problem to support team about 4 times they just didn't even reply to my queries. It's online rubbers, criminals and cheaters! New Zealand bank cannot do anything against od this rubbery company. They rubbed several millions of ppl across the globe. I run an online business and I know a lot about. I personally will never use the Badoo

unauthorised purchase of lifetime premium
So I had decided to buy some credits and that went well and all after I used my credit card details. However, the next day I opened the app it seemingly purchased lfietime premium on its own and I was left with $169.99 taken out of my bank account. I've spoken with the support team and they keep stating they can't refund it. After I challenged them about their terms and conditions they stopped replying. This is absolutely untolerable.
Relevant pictures and documents are attached.
Update, after some exchange of messages I got refunded my money. :)

being blocked because of age
I started using Badoo dating services two days ago and met people who seemed genuine and others who didn't.
There was a particularly nice guy I started chatting with and in order to get to know just how genuine he is, I tested his response by claiming not to be 18 yet and he passed.
However, this got my account terminated and I would like to know how do I get my account back?

being blocked on badoo
It has been playing on my mind a lot recently as to why my account on badoo was blocked, I had been using badoo for quite some time and never changed to how I used it. Then all of a sudden I have been blocked. I have reported this many times and all I get back is you have breached one of the regulations. I would like to know which regulation I have breached and show me evidence.
Many thanks
Mel Wilson
I have been using Badoo for quite sometime and have thought it has been the best one out of all dating sites I have used in the past. I have never changed the way I have used but for some reason I have been blocked on my account saying I have breached one of the regulations but not been told which one or any other information on this. Its really annoying as i am not a bad person or fake, I am just trying to find someone that can make me happy. I wish someone would look into this for me and tell me what has happened and evidence for this.
Many thanks

my account has been blocked because I questioned how much they are charging me
I contacted Badoo to ask why I was getting charged £32.99 to but 2750 Badoo credits while my friends on there were buying the same credit at £14.99 I got a reply back saying prices change according to age groups etc... which is age discrimination. So when I replied back saying I will be contacting trading standards as I have a subscription/membership which I have paid for until November. Means they cut me off and have taken my money I tried to reply again to say either reactivate my account or refund me the money and now I see they have blocked my email which I find very unprofessional from a company/organisation of this size. I will be taking the matter further with trading standards and social media to show other people how Badoo operates. I hope they will come to their senses and refund me or activate my account again if not it will not be the end of this matter.

Someone's using my identity
I just found out that two profiles have been created using my photo. This is identity theft and I want both the accounts to be taken down and permanently blocked down. Trace whoever misused my name and account and let me know I'll file legal action.
This is absolute [censored] someone named kruthi her number : +91 99402 57588
I want her to take down my account and stop misusing my account again.

account blocking
My email is [protected]@gmail.com. I have been on badoo for quite awhile. My account got blocked because they said I was using it as a couple. No I was not. I am in individual person. My account is for my own personal use. Just because I'm bisexual and expressed a fantasy of having a threesome doesn't mean you have the right to discriminate against my sexual preferances. My account needs to be unblocked. I have lost touch with many friends I've made in here due to this issue and am fairly angry about it. If the individuals that made the complaints don't like me then let them block me themselves. I have felt free to block many users.

premium membership unauthorized payment
Last night I got a notification to say I had payed Badoo £119 through PayPal, I did not do this I certainly did not do this knowingly, so I emailed them straight away, woke up to a response saying i cant be refunded, I had previously checked the terms and conditions and it states that I have 14 days to get a refund and I will be charged for any services I use, ( I emailed you within an hour of the purchase!) I didnt use any of your premium stuff, I will pursue this until the end because this is robbery, I hope that the other people I have seen with the same problem pursue the matter and do not let them take your money.

I have just had a similar experience. I was charged for Badoo Premium 2 HOURS AGO. A charge which I did not authorize.
I took it up with Badoo and they say I 'instantly recieved the benefits of Badoo Premium'. I have not used any of Badoo Premium services or used any 'benefits' in the few hours it has been active.
Not only have I not used their so-called Premium services, they have also cancelled the subscription (a whole 1 month subscription) and are refusing to issue a refund.
I have discovered not only are they scamming users they are also using fake profiles to lure people to the app. Keep your fake app, give me back my hard-earned money. This is now a personal issue. I will fight to the end for my refund.
Same problem here - just received a bank notification that I've been charged for 30 EUR by Badoo.
Only after logging in I've discovered that I now have some credits on the Badoo account and Premium membership. I never even planned to buy/activate these services nor was I prompted to buy them or confirm activation.
This is purely unacceptable practice on the par with scam websites that collect your data to take advantage of it later.
I request full refund and will immediately delete my account there once settled.
Hi Maksym,
We totally understand your frustration but we can assure you that it's not possible for a payment to be processed without your prior authorisation.
If you were not signed in to your Badoo account at the time which the payment was processed, it's because your Badoo Premium subscription has renewed. I complained within a few hours after noticing the money came out my bank. I have proof of this. Someone contact me I want my money back, I will be going all the way with this THEFT. You really aren't helping yourselves with all this bad press. Give me my money !
badoo and hot or not
I already created 6 accounts but all were banned by badoo. I am proud transgender and I even said In my profile "respect LGBT rights". But FYI still banned because I was transgender. I did not send any nudes or talk badly to guys but may be this app is one sided and not giving warning at all cost. I wish most countries in the world will also ban this app so they would feel the same thing happened to us transgender. This is the worst app ever created in cyber world. They like banning transgender and not respecting our rights. Once banned, no more chance to reinstate. Crazy creator should I say. I would never recommend this app ever... All they say is "this app respect the right of LGBT blah blah blah.. still the same banned! Crazy!

blocking for no reason
I got blocked because of supposedly breaking the guidelines. But when asked (multiple times) how I broke them I'm sent to a page that has the Do's and Donts. I did all the Do's and didn't not do any of the Donts. I thought maybe it was because I had another account on Facebook. But that one got blocked too! I don't understand why my account got blocked in the first place. And I've tried to report issues and say it's a mistake but all I get back is that they'll look into it and after they look into it they tell me I'm forever blocked?!?! Because I violated terms..even though I've had an account for YEARS and have never had an issue before...so angry. I had a really chill date set up and I got blocked before we ever got a chance to exchange actual information 😭😭😭 I did recently move but I did all the verifications...

unauthorized purchase of lifetime premium
Yesterday I was using the app and suddenly it did something like a freeze, I tried tapping around but nothing, the screen was frozen, suddenly I received a notification from my bank saying that I just spent 114€ for a lifetime Badoo Premium!
I never asked for this and I can't afford it, I asked directly to the italian support and the answer was just:
"Sorry to hear this but you can't get a refund"
Guys, this is scam to me, I didn't do anything and the money went away instantly, this was NOT AUTHORIZED BY ANYONE and, since this already happened and it happened yesterday 21/07/2019, I want to use my right of withdrawal on this product as soon as possible and I won't accept another "I'm sorry you can't get a refund".
I hope that was an isolated case but I read about so many people having the same problem.
Just to let you know right now I have to buy tires for my car and I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY because an app decided it was super funny to steal 114€ from my bank account.
I want my money back please, in the most friendly way.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Let me know how you get on as the more people being caught out by this and the more reports authorities receive means an even bigger leg to stand on for us!
It's happened to me and I will not stop at 23.27 i allegedly purchased there premium membership, the time I got the notification and read there terms and sent an email took 23 mins and they want to charge me £119 for that!
So glad i'm not the only one this has happened to! Read the last post on here RE Badoo. That one is mine, this has happened twice to me in the last week. Now your saying this I have absolutely no doubt they set the app to do exactly that, to freeze on purpose to make you tap repeatedly It's unbeleivable. Keep on at them! Good luck!
badoo trading ltd
On two occasions Badoo Trading Ltd have taken unauthorized payments for a lifetime subscription from myself . They use tactical means of screen lagging within their app to make you think your device has frozen, therefore causing you to multiple tap on the screen which results in unintentional purchases of the default (pre-ticked) £119.99 option. I highly doubt that this is not set up to be intentional, but either way, if it is just a poorly written app / technical issues, this is still their responsibility and therefore should refund those caught out in such a way.
The first time this happened, earlier this week they did initially deny my refund request despite this being within consumer rights but eventually did refund me.
This has now happened for a second time. I have contacted them but they have not replied - I have therefore just sent the below email (with all important parts highlighted) which out outlines the full scenario and action I have taken / will take.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Reference to account under email: *************
Further to my recent contact which has not been replied to, please consider this email an official complaint.
I am a registered user of your service. When using your service on 18/07/2019 I was charged an additional fee for a 'Lifetime Subscription' at the cost of £119.99. As you will see from your records, this is not the first time this has happened.
In accordance with trading regulations I am exercising my right to cancel the membership within 14 days. I logged out of the application as soon as this happened and have not used it since, therefore no features have been utilised.
Should you argue that I am not entitled to a refund under the above basis, I would like to draw your attention to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, in which it is specified online traders are not allowed to charge for add-on items using a pre-ticked box as this is not classified as ‘prior express consent' nor is it express consent to use my data In such a way, in which case, this is also a breach of GDPR regulations - See GDPR guidance below from the Information Commissioner's Office;
The GDPR is clear that consent requires clear affirmative action, and Recital 32 sets out additional guidance on this:
"Consent should be given by a clear affirmative act… such as by a written statement, including by electronic means, or an oral statement. This could include ticking a box when visiting an internet website, choosing technical settings for information society services or another statement or conduct which clearly indicates in this context the data subject's acceptance of the proposed processing of his or her personal data. Silence, pre-ticked boxes or inactivity should not therefore constitute consent."
Clear affirmative action means someone must take deliberate and specific action to opt in or agree to the processing, even if this is not expressed as an opt-in box. For example, other affirmative opt-in methods might include signing a consent statement, oral confirmation, a binary choice presented with equal prominence, or switching technical settings away from the default.
The key point is that all consent must be opt-in consent, ie a positive action or indication - there is no such thing as ‘opt-out consent'. Failure to opt out is not consent as it does not involve a clear affirmative act. You may not rely on silence, inactivity, default settings, pre-ticked boxes or your general terms and conditions, or seek to take advantage of inertia, inattention or default bias in any other way. All of these methods also involve ambiguity - and for consent to be valid it must be both unambiguous and affirmative. It must be clear that the individual deliberately and actively chose to consent.
As you can see from all the above and additional information below, I did not give prior express consent for Badoo Trading Limited to use the said data (my payment details) to execute a financial transaction on this occasion nor did I give prior express consent to begin a performance of digital content.
After being deleted, my PayPal payment details were subsequently automatically stored following a separate, and intended purchase. Following this, default options & pre-ticked boxes, along with one of the below were a direct cause of the unintended purchase, and as a result, Badoo Trading Limited are wholly accountable to refund paid monies.
(1) Software being purposefully written in such a way as to incite users to execute unintended purchases through means of unethical tactics, or
(2) Software not functioning correctly across the Android platform
Please refer to the below extract of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013;
Supply of digital content in cancellation period
37.—(1) Under a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium, the trader must not begin supply of the digital content before the end of the cancellation period provided for in regulation 30(1), unless—
(a)the consumer has given express consent, and
(b)the consumer has acknowledged that the right to cancel the contract under regulation 29(1) will be lost.
(2) The consumer ceases to have the right to cancel such a contract under regulation 29(1) if, before the end of the cancellation period, supply of the digital content has begun after the consumer has given the consent and acknowledgement required by paragraph (1).
(3) Paragraph (4) applies where a contract is cancelled under regulation 29(1) and digital content has been supplied, not on a tangible medium, in the cancellation period.
(4) The consumer bears no cost for supply of the digital content, in full or in part, in the cancellation period, if—
(a)the consumer has not given prior express consent to the beginning of the performance of the digital content before the end of the 14-day period referred to in regulation 30,
(b)the consumer gave that consent but did not acknowledge when giving it that the right to cancel would be lost, or
(c)the trader failed to provide confirmation required by regulation 12(5) or 16(3).
If my request is not dealt with satisfactorily within relevant time frames I shall contact the relevant legal authorities. Thank you for looking into this matter. I look forward to your response.
Kind Regards,

unauthorised charges
Badoo took 69.9 from my bank account last wek July 9th. As part as their click bait structure and procedure. After talking with them they decided to give me a refund which i got yesterday july 11th 2019. I have not gone to badoo since July 9th as i am worry to judt log in and lose more money. Well this morning july 12th they took AGAIN the friggin 69.99 that they refunded me ! So they scammed me twice in a week with the same thing the one they decided to refund me in the first place !
Im blind and this money was for my fridge until the end of the month. How do you feel stealing food from a blind s man fridge twice in a week ? Bunch of unethical people. Shame on you !
I spend the past 3 days arguying with you and once its sorted i have to do it all over again ! I want my money back TODAY. Im hungry
Dont gibve me your W are som sorry. gibve me back my money i dont want to hear your excuses. I am a loyal custommer who was already buying your products every now and then so why ?
Badoo team . ( Interesting you dont use a name this time like jack or Matthew )
You are wiling to go very far with the lies to try to get yourself out of a very uncomfortable situation. no i have not entered my card details twice on your website. i did it once and then removed the infos myself. I have video evidence of this and all the documents to prove that you store people details and credit card info into your files. The truth is that you steal money from people s bank accout at your will. And read all the complaints i think it is more than clear.
I have left your programme 10 days ago so you are again wrong in all counts. Unprofessionnal unethic and a bunch of liars. Rot in hell. Im not even a part of your community anymore. Its interesting how you proceed though. You take money out of people s bank account a couple of months after they have nade a purchase so basicly you screw up your loyal custommers. You dont do business you steal people, literally.
I have left your website but the way that i ve exposed you to the credit company and other instance with physical evidence print screens and videos be ready to have further problems. Personally im done with you but i think theres people oputthere who awill most probably go further with this and put a definite stop at your bad practice.

Dear,
I uninstalled your apps before 2 months and never more I was used the same but each two..three days you take from my account some money?
Please, whats going on!

Thanks for reaching out to us.
As explained in your terms of purchase, deleting the app from your mobile device will not automatically cancel any active subscription you may have to Badoo Premium. It will also not automatically delete your Badoo profile.

unauthorised charges
I was browsing the people nearby section and clicked like on a lady. That landed me to a page where you cant opt out. Your only option is to click continue. Les than a milli second later i saw a pop up letting me know that i have a message from Badoo and an alert teling me that i had made a bank operation.
That was it just by clicking continue they withdraw an unauthorised charge of 69.99 from my bank account from my visa debit card. I used my card months ago to buy a premium service which i havent complained as i did it on my own and im pretty sure that i removed my visa informations from the site. Today i had zero intentions to buy badoo lifetime premium. They direct you to a page where you have no other option than clicking continue and here you go poorer than you were before going on their catchy site. And their banners say ''Meet honestly '' hahahahaha
I am a blind person using a white cane and that money was for food till the end of the month so you literally opened my fridge door and took my food. Because im blind i cant really go out and find a job to compensate for that lost. But i can go to the media with my white cane that will give you a wonderfull advert,
I want my money back. And not in a month i want it back today. Im hungry
Before you reply with your '' We are soooo sorry please dont. You are not sorry this is how you trick people . thats your methods thats your structure and you know it well. So no apologise, pay me and all will be fine. You have a 14 days policy refund. I have not used the premium features at all I have cancelled the app on my phone immediatly and logged out of badoo immediatly too so there should be no excuse from you. Do not send me to your facebookj team or twittet team we are sorting this out right here.
BTW I sent a message to your custommer service literaly 9 minutes after the unwanted purchase letting them know that i was not interested in buying anything premium. so there should be no excuse from you at all . I ve been buying 3 or 4 times superpowers in the past 2 years so im a good custommer and i cant see why you would steal one of your active custommer.
They ve emailed me they did not want to refund . I had to gey mad a bir and they offered to refund but in 14 days . They knew i would never stop if no refund

unethical behaviour surrounding default on mode of automatic top off
Went on Badoo and purchased a 5.99EUR pass for premium, went to see the bill for the premium and in my junk mail box saw an email saying I got billed 39.99EUR for "credits". I never agreed to buy any credits, just the 5.99EUR premium account.
I believe this is due to what I now found out is the default selection of the automatic top off service when you get below 200 credits. This default selection is highly predatory as with me when I bought one service this meant that without my knowledge I also approved to buy a second service.
This kind of behaviour is highly immoral if not downright unethical.
I would like at a minimum to see a refund for this, however, I believe the company should also change the default setting for automatic top off to "off" or "receive authentication each time" as this is a common complaint even on this very website.
It is unfair to consumers that they find this out when they finally decide to pay for services.

unauthorized payment and unethical behaviour
I am very annoyed and frustrated as today I discovered that I had been charged for premium service from Badoo without my request of this or authorization. I hadn't even been on the site for years and then out of the blue they sent me profiles of men. I went to look at what this was about and then the next thing I know is that they have taken over £119 out of my Pay Pal account on the 18th June. I tried to look for a telephone number to make a complaint about this but surprise surprise no contact details only email. I then managed to get a contact number for the main admin offices via an American on YouTube. When I called this number they said they did not know a number for the customer service team even though this was the main admin offices in London, I was refused when I asked to speak to someone more senior or a manager and was told she was terminating the call. Very dodgy goings on. How can an admin office not have any contact details for their own customer services team.
I have seen many other similar complaints and do not know how they are getting away with this.
This is shameful activity. It is my statutory rights to be refunded within 14 days as it states but I see that people have not been refunded this. I have put in a complaint to my bank and will be taking this matter further and am going to cancel anything with Badoo. I wish a refund in full and any account with Badoo to be terminated
