bartleby.com stole my essay
Today I was updating my google alerts when I got one about an essay I had written in 9th grade on this site called Bartleby. I had never even heard of it before and yet I find my essay on women in Athens vs. Sparta. Literally had my name, high school, teacher's name, and course all in the header. So naturally I want to investigate and click "show more" and it wants me to sign up and enter a credit card number! To view my OWN work! And it wasn't even that good of an essay (like I said, I wrote it as a freshman in high school) so I wouldn't trust any of the content on that site. This company (owned by Barnes & Noble) is charging people money to view MY work without my knowledge or consent. Absolutely outrageous. Stay away from Bartleby.
Also, I would provide a picture, but like I said, the header of my essay included some of my personal info.
bartleby software - unethical
This company is horrible. I tried the product for less than 15 minutes, it didn't work and I wanted my money back. They fought me tooth and nail before they finally credited me back my money. I assume that they feel 9.99 isn't worth the fight - and normally it isn't, however if they weren't so rude, I probably would have let it go and just moved on. They are playing the odds that people will not fight back for 9.99 for a product that doesn't work. I should have read the reviews first - my fault on not checking them out first.

I have multiple (6 in all totaling $59.94) unathorized $9.99 transactions on my account from this company. I've never used this service and I need my money refunded as soon as possible. Each charge was on the 13th of each month beginning in February. The last 4 digits of the card being charged is 1592. THe picture depicts the explation of the charges that I recieved.

This website is completely trash! I cancelled my subscription weeks ago and yet I was charged 2 times for something I cancelled. I reached out to them via email and received no reply but yet they are still taking money out of my account! This is ridiculous! I am paying for something I don't use. I am trying to cancel a subscription that has been appearing on my credit union report. I finally found out that it was added when my son purchased textbooks. You do not have a phone number and I have just spent 20 minutes on all of your websites trying to find a place to unsubscribe.

I was supposed to have a low cost plan until the very end of the month but once I signed up and everything, I was charged almost $60 for looking at an essay. I'm pretty mad to say the least seeing as i'm a broke high school student; but yk, its chill apparently, definitely doesn't make me want to cry because now i'm even more broke and the bartleby writing site doesn't have a lot of functionality for your account settings etc., so I cancelled my account immediately, hoping i'd be able to find something on their main site to help with what just happened but I suppose not and now I get to finish writing my paper and try to find other resources that aren't plagiarized and $60.

I was signed up for this service whenever I purchased an online book through texas tech b&n store. I guess I didn't uncheck a preselected a box during checkout. After failing for the 3rd time to get them to stop drafting my account, I have shut down my debit card. I am not sure why b & n would associate with this company. Also, they do not offer a customer service phone number.

This is the second or third time that Bartleby has shown up on my bill and when I bought my textbook I told the cashier that I did not want this service I don't know if he heard me or not but I need this resolved soon. What I need is for you to cancel this service since I never used or asked for it, and if possible I'd like to be reimbursed the $9.99 a month that your company has been charging me.

This evening I set up an account with you thinking it was free and picked a plan for £59.85 for 3 months membership. I thought the first trial was free so once I realised it wasn't I cancelled straight away. Hopefully you will be able to see this. I was charged $59.85 on October 2, 2018 which was fine because I did sign up for three a three month subscription. However I was charged again on January 1, 2019 for another $59.85. I cancelled my membership already and I feel I should get refunded my last payment because I did not agree to those charges. Has anyone else been refunded for a similar situation?
