maintenance
Visited the Baymont Inn in Columbus Texas to check on relatives displaced by the storm. The intial customer service was pleasant. A young Hispanic girl with glasses greated me pleasantly and was very helpful in locating my family and notifying them of my arrival. However my family's living accommodations left more to be desired. The room itself was poorly maintained and cleaned. I've read several reviews where he lays blame to FEMA occupants like my family and housekeeping staffing issues. My personal opinion is that is highly unprofessional. To lay blame solely on one or a group of individuals is inaccurate and morally wrong. A system does not function on one its a whole. You would think a hotel of that size and magnitude would have suffient staff on duty. Most issues are not merely housekeeping or customer service its also maintenance and day to day upkeep issues. Nighttime there is no Manager or acting Manager on duty to deal directly with customer requests or questions or point redemptions. I don't even believe there is housekeeping on duty at night. One night staff employee was very dry and uncogenial but it could have been she was distracted by her 3 children that accompanied her to work and were there in the lobby. All in all the living accommodations were inadequate. Customer service was hospitable especially the initial rep that assisted me in finding my family.
billing, front desk, management, customer care everything!!!
Hurricane irma took our power
So I got a hotel
What else can I do?
I reserved it for one night
And got charged for 2!
Beep the dumbbeep girls at the front desk at baymont inn & suites
They messed up n charged my debit card double
Caused me all kinds of trouble
Promised to fix it
Make the charges legit
I chilled out... Sat back and relaxed
Then get a call to say I wont get my refund for 3 to 5 days!
My blood pressure is on the raise!
As I sit in my room trying to figure out my next move
What hotel will we stay in tomorrow
Since we still have no power
Trying to stay positive, I still feel like [censor]
Don't feel good one bit, just gotta get my mind off of it
I mean we will be fine cause I just got paid
I will only be charged for the nights that we stayed
So its starting to get late
Guess I should I feed my kids
So I pull out my phone and start to check my account balance what do I see?
Negative -54.73!
Now my temper is a blaze!
What the heck is going on!
Another charge on my card for 230 dollars!
I ran downstairs swung open the door in the lobby and screamed at the lady what the [censor] are you doing!
Ok screw this poem I am pissed right now!
This girl is like umm ummm ummmm
I said give me my money now... Do you know what she said? 3 to 5 days...
3 to 5 days! Are u serious right now! So I cursed her out in every language, got her managers business card and walked out. I called my bank and they said they cant get me my money for up to 10 days. So this morning I call the manager and she says there is nothing she can do. I asked what she is going to do to make this right. She said well I see you are paying 80 a night, I can give a discounted rate for tonight. What!
hotel stay
My family and I were traveling to Gulf Shores for our 2017 vacation. Getting sleepy, we decided to stop in Greenville Alabama for the night and finish our trip the following day. We stayed Saturday night and woke up on Sunday to find out that our car had been involved in a hit and run. Two people witnessed the manager of the hotel back up and hit my car, tell them that he was "sorry for whoever the owner was", and then leave the hotel parking lot. I went to the hotel desk and told the clerk that my car had been hit, that I wanted to see the outside cameras, and that the police had been called. The clerk called the manager and told him all of this and told him that he needed to come back to the hotel. He arrived back to the hotel the same time that the police arrived and stated that he did hit the car and then left. The police filed a report and the manager was not arrested because the police said that they knew him and that he did not understand that what he did was wrong. I have never experienced anything like this in my life! How can a manager of a hotel be this extremely careless? How can anyone hit another vehicle and leave like nothing ever happened? If it had not been for the two witnesses I would have probably never found out what really happened to my car! Because of this manager I will never stay at another Baymont hotel!

check in
Got to baymont inn on exchange blvd in Columbia South Carolina at 3:39 after spending all day on base. Room wasn't ready but was informed checkout is still at 11:00am. Never seen anything like this. We are exhausted and drained and can't even check in at 3:00pm. Needless to say I will let everyone know not to get a room with baymont hotels. Clerk is very rude!

the entire company
I've spent more than a week at the location on i10 and wurzbach, really love their hotels so I always come back. Well my at last stay the the hotel staff was rude charger me more than they were suppose to on a Saturday. I paid 140 for each room which is ridiculous. On top of that they have come in my room while I was asleep to clean. Also my last day their the hotel manager just walked in our room without notice and started taking pics. I'm extremely livid because the following morning when I was packing I found a bed bug. I'm extremely disgusted with the staff and the company in whole.
extra fraudulent and dishonest charges
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with no complaints.
I spoke with the front desk staff ever morning and every evening and received no complaints. After I checked and had left, I discovered an additional charge of 200.00 for smoking in the room.
I did not smoke in the room, in fact the staff saw me and I spoke them each morning around 5 Am when I left the hotel and around 5 to 6 pm when I returned as I went outside to the smoking area to smoke.
I received no notification of any kind from any of the hotel staff.
When I called to discuss it and questioned them, I was told that they had no evidence, meaning no witnesses, no cigarette packs, no cigarettes, tobacco, butts, ashes, stains or burns. When pressed, they informed that me some unknown and/or unknown member of the staff...smelled something. My room was cleaned on 3 different morning and nothing was said. It wasn't until after I left, when I got to the next hotel that I noted the charge on my credit card. I called and spoke wit them twice, but of course the manager was never available.
I believe this hotel targets those who use the smoking area with corp. logo's on their vehicles, as being defenseless, which of course they are as the word of some unknown, unnamed worker getting paid a poverty wage, and a bonus for reporting violations, if they in fact these workers even exist, is more valuable and believable than the word of a good customer.
I travel a lot for business and have done so for over 35 years. I know about hotel regulations and also how some dishonest, unscrupulous owners prey on their own customer base, knowing full well repeats and loyal customers are not important, as there is always another dupe on the way.

rude staff, bad management
Baymont inn in Gurnee Illinois. I booked a room for 4 about 2 months prior to our stay. I had called the baymont a week before our arrival to confirm that cash payment would be fine and I was told that it would be fine but they still needed a credit card to hold the reservation and I was fine with that. Upon arriving I was informed that they wanted to charge my card the full amount in addition to having the full amount of our stay prepaid and in hand. Um, how about no. They claim it's their policy but I have never had any hotel ask for cash in hand plus the full payment on the card. A security deposit is one thing but the full amount of the stay, no way. Due to the fact that I was not willing to pay double for my room and management was gone the obese lady behind the desk yelled at me to get out and go away. This was the weekend of the naval academy graduation so there was no way to find a room for 4 at the same price in a 20 mile radius. I later got a note from the manager claiming that the double pay policy is clearly on their site and all of their staff is trained to explain this policy. Not once while making the reservation nor when I called about cash payment was I informed of this so called policy. So that's lie #1 . He also said he was sorry his staff was unable to find us another room in the area. Um, they only shrugged when I asked about finding somewhere else and then yelled at us to get out of the lobby. That's hardly trying to find us another place to stay! So basically manager John is just as bad as his staff. We had to drive out of state at 10pm at night in order to get a room and one of us ended up sleeping on the cold hard floor. Vacation ruined thanks to the baymont inns double pay policy.
hotels, motels, holiday inns, but not the baymont inn & suites
In june 2010 I caught a military flight from scott air force base in illinois to fort hood army base in texas. I arrived on fort hood around 5p. M. And I rode a taxi cab to the greyhound bus station in kileen texas to go into houston texas. Once I arrived in houston texas I rode another taxi cab from downtown houston to the baymont inn & suites at 1960 / north freeway. The taxi cab cost me $60.00.
I arrived at the baymont inn & suites around 11p. M. To collect on a room that was previously paid for. The room was in my name and it was paid for 3 weeks in advance for 1 whole month. I had been traveling all day from (5a. M.) saint louis to houston. I was extremely week and tired as a diabetic, plus I was very sleepy.
The front desk attendant name yolanda, was very disrespectful, mean and rude. She raised her voice at me saying, ” I see your money, but I can”t see your room, so live the lobby! When I tried to explain this is my first time to houston, she again raised her voice and called the security officer (Stanley) and they asked me to leave the lobby.
I called the houston police department and he said that was wrong and I should wait until the morning. I slept outside on the concrete for 8 hours. I became very dehydrated and ill! The security officer brought me water with his apologies. Later that morning a frontdesk clerk named tamico came outside offered me breakfast and a room until she corrected the matter. The story gets worst!
We (immediate family and extended) went down to see the Hawkeyes and picked this place because of the location to the stadium. However, it was an awful experience; we had small kids one with asthma and naturally booked a smoke free room in advance through Expedia. We arrived to discover there was no smoke free room available and the hotel was booked! Huh? The desk lady had the audacity to say because we booked through Expedia, like that has anything to do with it. I paid for a smoke-free room and it's Expedia's fault you don't have one? This lady suggested we open the windows and the smell isn't that bad-wtf! It was about 10 pm when we all arrived and we went to the room and passed several rooms where dogs were barking on the other side of the doors, a kennel, really?! The room smelled awful, we tried everything (opening windows-didn't know hotel windows opened, sprayed perfume & brewed coffee). Finally contacting Expedia who issued us a provisional credit, I ended up sending my kids to room with the grandparents (who had a smoke free room) because the smell was so bad. The room was not clean (hair in the bath-tub and vanity sink, there was a damp smell throughout the floor, obvious water damage in the room at some point and was never properly taken care of). Then there was a breakfast buffet, we all checked-out early, refusing to eat there because I could not trust food at a hotel that has animals as guest and filthy rooms, if the rooms we see are filthy I can only imagine how clean they are when no one is there seeing how the food is prepared. My in-laws were tired because they were across the hall from two barking dogs (they called the front desk to report the noise but it never stopped) and my brother and is family were exhausted because they were next door to a barking dog and since their room was near the indoor pool the dog barked pretty much all night. I have a dog that I've stayed at hotels and the fees to have him in our room are crazy. I would think someone would pay more for a smoking room. So I wonder if the people who paid for a pet or a smoking room if they were charged why wasn't the rooms cleaned properly. I would not stay at this hotel ever again.
no hot water
My family stayed at the Baymont in Madison, Al May 13-15. This is the second weekend we have spent at the hotel. Saturday morning I took a shower and the water was cold. I called the front desk and reported it. Sunday morning I experienced the same cold shower. I spoke to the clerk and he said he had told management multiple times and explained any time...

The baymont inn in grapevine is a joke. Their staff is rude or just don't care or don't have any authority to do anything. The manager is never in, and you keep calling back, and she never returns your call. I got charged twice for a room I slept in for a few hours. (My flight was canceled with american airlines) hard as a slab of concrete the bed was, and the room was musty and mildewy. I feel sorry for regular travelers. Stay away! The one bright spot was the morning clerk, who was greeting everyone, and calling for our gates so we didn't miss another flight.
refused to rent room to 80 year old
80 year old gentleman with reservation was refused a room and offered no help. Called reservation desk through customer service at corp office and they offered to make reservation. How can the corp office book a room but a customer standing in hotel be refused a room.
Do not book with this hotel do not allow them to lie to you about a reservation and spoil your trip.
No customer service at all.
I stayed at a Baymont Inn and Suites on July 23 and I WILL NEVER STAY AT THEIR CHAIN AGAIN! My complaint is not with the price of the hotel or the accomodations but the theives that took my shirt. I checked out of the hotel and left a shirt hanging in the poorly placed 'closet' (on the other side of the room out of site in front of the jacuzzi tub). I called back less than 8 hours after I checked out to inform them that I had left the shirt and would have someone pick it up. I have now placed FIVE seperate calls to the hotel only to be told "I'll have to ask house keeping", "No shirt was found", "Let me check the room" and the list goes on and on. I understand that the shirt could be replaced but it's the principal of the point that I know without a doubt that I left my shirt at that hotel and they say that it was not found. The room was not rented after I checked out, one of the other employees told me that. I've double and triple checked all of my luggage and bags and the shirt IS NOT THERE.
wrongful termination
I was terminated while off from a injury on the job (Fell in the parking lot) which resulted in a concussion, only to return to work and be handed a letter dated for 12.09.08 that my job was terminated effective on 12.30.08, I had a doctors excuse from work for this day and returned to work on the 31st. I also had recieved a letter on 12.10.08 about a...
