As bad as I wanted to order Hip Hop Abs through Beachbody.com because of it being on sale, my Kaspersky internet security denied the access to checkout. It said that the requested URL could not be provided because it is a phishing URL (http://www.beachbody.com/checkout/upsel). If you don't have Kaspersky as your internet security, I strongly suggest that you all get it. After this happening and reading the complaints on this website, I'm very glad this changed my mind on ordering from this company especially by phone. I'm going to order it from As Seen On TV or Amazon depending on the price. I haven't had any problems with either of theses companies and I've been dealing with them for years. Thank you all for speaking out and having this website for people like me!
received goods that I never ordered
I received a P90X package back in December 2012 from Beachbody. Strange thing is that I have never heard of Beachbody before and never ordered this. I called customer service and they said that I ordered it on Dec 20, 2012. I asked what credit card it was charged on and they told me. I told them that I never ordered this and that I want a return label to send it back. They were supposed to send me one in the mail, which I never received. I called the credit card company to report fraud and to cancel card. Funny thing is that this was a card that I hadn't used in ages and did not keep on me, very strange. If someone, somehow got my number, why would they have a product sent to me? I received a letter the other day stating that I owed $68.78 and that they had notified me and seeing that I haven't paid it, it was going to collections. I called them immediately and explained the whole story again, very hard to understand all the customer service representatives and was put on hold several times. They were going to e-mail me a return label with 24-48hrs. 48 hrs went by and nothing, so I called them again. They apparently had copied the wrong e-mail address! I gave it again and had her repeat it back to me. Another 24 hrs I have to wait, so I'll see if I get it. I'm sure that I am not the only person this has happened to, that never ordered a product and mysteriously receive something in the mail. They try to scare you into thinking it's going to collections and I'm sure many people would just pay it rather than going through the hassle of dealing with this company. I hate to think how many people they do this to and how much money they have collected over the years.
Yesterday AGAIN I received vitamins/supplement in the mail, charged to my credit card. I have contacted the company 2, may I repeat 2 times to stop this shipping and stop putting it on my credit card! Their website says they will get back to me as soon as possible. Ha! Ha! I need this to STOP! NOW!
Oh yes! Been there.

I received a product from Beachbody that I had never ordered. Customer service told me
it was ordered 12/17/12 and asked if the last four digits on my credit card was correct & they were, and gave me the correct address to which it was shipped. This c/card had been cancelled because of a fraudulent charge concerning another matter. I received a letter the other day stating that I owed $49.90 and that they had notified me seeing that I haven't paid it, and is under review for collection activity. It's amazing that I was hospitalized 12/14/12 from a stroke ans not released till after Christmas.
Customer billing service told me it would pass this complaint to Beachbody for review and they would contact me later. What is CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR?
extremely unhappy with the fraud, I ordered A $19.95 order of beginning workout Cd's 2 of them, my total charge on my debit card was $30.25 received them, like them, and then check by online bank statement only to find out these jerks charged me for some items at $78.49, I will be closing this account, as I cannot get a hold of them by phone, or by e-mail, I wish I had read the comments before ordering!
refund of unordered product
I was browsing an exercise dvd on Beachbody's website, started to order and changed my mind and I did not complete the order online yet it went through.
I phoned the customer services line first thing this morning and spoke to Jacob who advised me that he could not cancel my order, that I would have to wait until it was delivered, refuse delivery and that when the parcel was returned to Beachbody I would be refunded. To say I was angry and astounded would be understating it, I asked to speak to his supervisor to be told that there was no-one available as the supervisor/admin staff only work week days, that he was the only person working there and that he
would forward my cancellation request tomorrow to his supervisor who would then action it.
I asked for an email address for complaints and Jacob put me on hold while he found the information, he eventually came back and advised me that he had indeed spoken to his supervisor who would cancel my order and I would receive a full refund. I asked how he was able to speak to his supervisor if he wasn't there and Jacob told me that he had phoned him on his cell phone. After reading some of the complaints online I seriously doubt that my cancellation will be processed at all if the phone call I have
just experienced is anything to go by, I have emailed them but I don't have faith in their customer services at all. I still don't understand how the order went through when I had not finalised it and have been left incredibly upset and frustrated by the whole affair.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
A year later and the same exact thing happened to me! I just wanted to inquire about how much it would cost, once i saw the final cost I did not want to go through. I did not hit complete or process and it still charged me I am callilng to night to returen
it, hoping it's hassel free
unauthorized charges
I went online to order their 10-Minute Trainer and mistakenly added a second one to my shopping cart after I entered my credit card number. There was no way to go back and remove the order from my shopping cart so I closed the browser. A few hours later I receive a confirmation email for my order for two sets of 10-Minute Trainer. I never submitted nor confirmed my order. When I called customer service right away to cancel one of the two sets, they told me they couldn't cancel it for me because the order was already processed. This is a total scam to trick people into buying items they don't want to buy. Every reputable online company has an edit option in the shopping cart and throughout the ordering process until the person who is doing the ordering submits the order and confirms the charge!
I am receiving charges on my bank statement. I cancelled this and on 1/22/16 got another charge for $41.20. I ordered this product over a year ago and have ordered nothing additional from the company. At the initial order, I received the videos and two sets of tupperwares for portion control of food. Please refund my money. Thank you.

I recently ordered p90x as I had heard it was a good program. To bad I haven't received it yet because the shipping is VERY slow. But I checked my bank statement and noticed I was charged twice, this caused my account to overdraw with 4 35dollar charges so basically they owe me 301.16 in reimbursement charges. My husband and I spent 3 hours on the phone this morning and 3 hours this afternoon speaking to six different people. Some were very rude and others nice but they still have not resolved it. We sent a fax of our bank statement showing these charges. Our next action will be legal. Beware consumers! As I was researching this I found out I am not the only person this has happened to.
Dear Velvet Brown,
I received your email explaining the amount of $221.12 cents refunded back to my account. I'm writing this to inform you that I want my outstanding balance of $229.72 cents also refunded to my account. I never approved an order of this product and only ordered the PX90. This is an illegal practice that your company has done. From here on out I'm informing you as I did the customer service representative Jessica on April 16, 2011 that no person has the right to withdraw money out of my account. I'm a XXXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Department and will file a Police Report for Grand Larceny if you don't return my outstanding balance of $229.72 cents. I have no problem paying for a product that I ordered (Px90). At no time did I ever phone or place an order for these pills that I have been billed since March 7, 2010. I work extremely hard for my money and I'm sure that people at your company wouldn't appreciate being billed fraudulently out of their bank account like I have. I have printed all my bank statements showing your unapproved charges to my account. You are more than welcome to double check my math minus the refunds you have applied. If this was a mistake and the remainder of my money is refunded asap, I will not pursue Police or Civil action against your company. If my request is ignored, or turned away than like I previously stated I will file a report for Grand Larceny with the Police Department. To reiterate, No person shall make withdrawals from my account now or ever in the future. The only action shall be the rest of my money into my account. Once that is done, delete me and my credit card information asap. Thank you for your time in this matter. My account should be listed under my email, or phone number (XXX)XXX-XXXX. Please only contact me by email.

I recently ordered the Slim in 6 fitness dvds over the phone and was under the impression that the set I was getting would be $20+shipping and handling. Luckily I called to check my card balance that same day because Beachbody had charged an extra $50 for some service that I didn't agree to. And when I called to have the charge removed, they claimed that they couldn't do it because it was already being processed. It finally took me asking for a manager to make the customer service rep remove the charges. But even after that, they're still sending the package and if it arrives at my house, I have to pay the cost of shipping just to return the stupid thing to them! I'm still worried that they're going to try to charge my card again.
Your credit card information cannot be sent to the site without hitting the "Place Order" button at the bottom of the page. The "remove/update cart" feature is working for me just fine.

over charged!!!
I place an order with beachbody to purchase insanity work out at 7/16/12. It is now 11/17/12. I open up my banck statement and I was charged $42.66 out of nowhere!. Ofcorse I called to complain abput it because I never purchased anything from beachbody sence my order on 7/16/12. The customer sevice guy even informed me about a second charge that I didnt know about! I had him cancel whatever charges and I demanded I get refund every penny. Its rediculous that customers are getting charged without knowing and for things they did not ask for. Seriouly, it isvery suspicious that I was charged randomly. Four mounth! What on gods earth do you purchase and are charged four months after?! Honestly to say, I am never purchasing anything that deals with beachbody. Thats rediculous!

Don't do business with this company
Ordered P90X program from t.v. infomercial and was informed I was allowed 30 days free trial membership as a bonus with Team Beach Body. No charges if cancelled within that first 30 days. Did not use the Team Beach Body service so cancelled about 2 weeks later, well before the end of the 30 trial membership. Cancellation was confirmed by the company in phone call and email messages with a confirmation number and notice that "no further charges" would ever be made to my credit card for Team Beach Body.
However, I received a credit card statement with the $38.87 charge from them again anyway a few weeks later. I immediately called and was routed to the Philippines or India where I was kept on hold several times while the representative supposedly spoke to a supervisor, and then disconnected - TWICE! I called back and spoke to some rep in L.A. who assured me that indeed it was cancelled but maybe I'd agreed to the "free" membership which is somehow different than the "trial" membership. Obviously this company practices duplicitous and fraudulent practices to "con" people into these additional charges, perhaps hoping that you will not notice or go through the hassle on a $38 charge. When you try to cancel it "hey, no problem" but they will charge you anyway. The guy actually told me "I can't believe you'd file a complaint about a $38 charge." Hey, $38 is money, and I don't appreciate being ripped off.
The work-outs on the original DVD's are good - but I'd have to agree with others here that it's not worth giving these people your credit card number. You never know what they'll try to pass through as unauthorized charges without your okay.
overcharge!!!
I placed an order after watching the TV infomercial for the P90X, when I was placing my order the rep asked me if I wanted the upgrade package for an additional $39.95. I agreed to the upgrade just to find out upon receiving my bill that I was over charged nearly $125.00 for a few extra items which I did not agree to for that amount and if I did I still would not feel as if these "upgrade" items were worth the $125.00 additional they are charging for it. I will NEVER order from this company again due to the billing, they have a great product but their customer service representatives are not honest.

ordering scam
On 4/9/11 I went through the steps to order the TurboFire Intense Cardio Conditioning program after I entered my credit card information, there was a screen to upgrade to the TurboFire® Advanced Classes program without saying what the price is. I clicked ok to put it in my shopping cart to see how much it costs but then I couldn't delete it.
I started over because I didn't want to upgrade. I finished the order clicking through all of the windows to the end and finally hit the "place order" button. Then I received a confirmation email for 2 orders the advanced program that I didn't order and the basic program.
I contacted beachbody customer service and was told they could only cancel the second order (the basic program) because the advanced program was already processed. How convenient the more expensive order couldn't be canceled?
The customer service rep said he would ship both packages. "you will not be billed for anything though you will still receive the shipment for the basic and the deluxe. Once you receive the order we will send you the return label with which you can return the deluxe without paying the return shipping. After this we can have your account billed only for the basic package."
I only received the deluxe package. I returned it on 4/18/11. My credit card was charged for $66.60 on 4/21/11. I don't know where that amount came from. The advanced program was $83.35 and the basic program was $55.03 and I haven't received an answer back from them regarding the charge.
My name is Curtis and I work for Beachbody Customer Service. After reading complaints about our company I’ve personally set out to try and help solve these problems. I understand how frustrating it can be…especially when it’s about your finances! When placing an online order we do advertise upsells for upgrade packages. Once you click on the offer you can remove the item from the cart just like ordering from any other website by hitting the remove from cart button. Once you have removed the item from the cart you can then go back and replace your order for the basic package at that time if you did not want to upgrade your DVD package. When a customer simply closes the ordering page after entering all their credit card information this is not the correct way to fix your order and will result in duplicate orders and charges. Anyone with problems please feel free to email me at custassist@beachbody.com. Please be patient if I have not responded within 24 hrs as I am the only person checking this email address. unauthorized charges
Buyer beware. I saw one of their infomercials and purchased a workout DVD over a year ago. I said no to all the up selling and told them I only wanted the DVD. It arrived and I figured that was that. Now I find that they have charged my credit card $42.08. I called them and was told that it was for an annual membership. An annual membership to what? I was never told anything about an annual membership. I never even got a brochure or an email telling me how to use this so called membership. It's BS. They have agreed to cancel the so called membership and refund the $42.08, but after reading the complaints listed here, I doubt they will refund the money. I'll just have to cancel the credit card I gave them.

filed a credit card fraud complaint
I Purchased the P90 X fitness program via Telephone after watching an infomercial. The product came as advertised. However, after discovering hidden charges for things I did not want (vitamins, online coaching, etc.) I called to cancel all the other automatic charges. A few days later, I received a fraud call from my bank saying somoeone used my card authorization to make some big purchases ( at least $800.00 twice) overseas (Spain), but only one went through. After I met with the bank manager and we went over my purchases, it was discovered that the only purchase I made during that period was to Beachbody. Since the bank was able to get my money back, I had dismissed it as questionable, however a co-worker also ordered P90 X from Beachbody, received a notice from his bank that a fraud purchase was made of over $1600, to buy plan tickets on an Arab Airline. After reading other complaints about credit card purchases with Beachbody, I'm investigating filing a complaint against them! Has anyone else had issues like that?

rude customer service reps
I bought P90X and was advised to return it. I called their customer service line to get the return authorization. My call was answered quickly. The representative sounded like "Peggy" from the TV commercial
After a man answered he spoke very fast so I could not understand him. He tried to sell me stuff for a good 10 minutes after I continuously and patiently told him I'm not interested. I kept telling him I just want the return authorization and he got upset with me that I wouldn't buy anything.
He finally said, "Fine, whatever." very rudely and said the R.A. VERY fast. It took a good three times to ask him to slow down his speech so I could verify I had the right number. I'm not even sure I obtained the correct R.A.
What irritated me further was I had to pay for the return shipping and was told by the rep I was not getting reimbursed for it. I understand not getting the original S&H back but really? I have to pay to get my money back?
BeachBody is a TERRIBLE company DO NOT BUY FROM THE!
llllll
I received some package from Beachbody and I never ordered anything from them. This is a scam. They charged my credit card without my approval and without my knowledge. I do not need their junk and I'm not spending a penny in returning it, since I did not authorized it. I will in turn charge them $ per day for every day this item sits in my garage. I'm expecting them to arrange a pick up. Next I will take matter to court.
And there are two things we strive for excellecent customer service and helping others live a healthy more fullfilling life. You can check our Better Business Bureau rating at t he following link http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Beachbody-LLC-13147181

lies lies lies
I called today to return a partial part of some products from Beachbody. What should have been an easy request ended up turning into a yelling match! And I was yelling because the customer rep was shouting at me. I couldn't believe it. I was questioning billing technigques and he got defensive and started talking down to me. That was it! I am the customer and if i see something suspicious going on, I will ask questions.
I am so mad right now I can't see straight. I was really excited about starting P90X in November, but I refuse to use this company every again. I am scared to death my installemnts won't get credited now and with all the horror stories I am seeing now about this company, if I won't still keep getting charged for products I don't own. What is wrong with this company? I thought they cared so much about their customers. Or was that just smoke and mirrors to get more money.
STAY AWAY from this COMPANY! If you can order their products from anywhere else do it! TRUST ME their FREE products they promise you--ALL LIES! Example. I just ordered Rockin Body and Hip Hop Abs! I was suppose to get two free workours per product. Oh I got them alright but they are on the SAME DVD as all of the other workouts. So if you return the product...your "FREE ITEMS FOR JUST TRYING US OUT"...go back also. They give nothing for free!
So look at the item descriptions on beachbody and search for the product on Amazon or EBAY or anywhere else. I just don't want to see any more innocent people get ripped off by this company.

business practices
As an insider who works for beachbody, I can reveal a few choice details about the company and its business practices. First beachbody is a subsidiary of a corporation named Product Partners LLC that is headquartered in Santa Monica. It was started in 1999 by Carl Daikeler and Jon Congdon. They primarily use infommercials to market their exercise products like P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire, etc. When consumers call in they are routed to one of three call centers in India, Costa Rica, or the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.
While the exercise programs are useful, they only function as a lead-in to other products of dubious value. What Product Partners wants more than anything to is to sign people up to get regularly billed for their nutritional supplements like Shakeology ($120 monthly), Acti-vit ($25 monthly), or the teambeachbody club ($38.97 quarterly). Many times consumers don't know that they're being billed until months down the road, which is exactly what Product Partners wants. If a credit card cannot be charged on the first try, they will run it 15 times over the course of a month to extract the funds for these excess goods and services. When a consumer calls in to complain, they may be told that they can only have one or two payments credited back to them but this is totally false.
Listen carefully, as there are three things that Beachbody absolutely does not want a consumer to do:
1.) Lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. For the first several years of the company, Product Partners had an awful BBB rating. They've managed to improve that to an A- and are diligent about not having
it drop to previous levels. If you call beachbody customer service and tell them that unless they remove the charges for items that you never ordered you'll the contact the BBB, they should be very responsive to you. I recommend getting your charges reversed and lodging a complaint anyway to provide a better climate for all consumers who deserve fairness in the marketplace.
2.) Lodge a complaint with your state Attorney General's office. Product Partners does not want to get involved with any state or federal inquiries, so mentioned your state Attorney General should definitely ### their ears.
3.) They do not want any issue to escalate to the corporate office in Santa Monica [protected]) and particularly seek to avoid issues being brought to the attention of Carl Daikeler, Product Partners CEO.
Well, I just left a nice note for Carl on his Face Book page. People are fed up with this kind of B.S...apparently he knows it and is shielded from his customers...not me!
Actually, I work on a call-center that takes Beachbodyb orders. We are NOT in in 3rd world country. .. although I'm sure Michigan and Ohio sometimes feels that way.
We reps are REQUIRED to inform you of recurring changes and we MUST READ IT VERBATIM. We then ask you to "read the last 4 digits of your credit card authorizing Team Beachbody to charge your card for the payments we've discussed". If we don't read that we are disciplined.
People need to LISTEN. Sometimes things slip by, but as a rule, you are required to agree before being charged... remember how many times we read you an upsell and ended it with, "okay"?...that's why we do it.
Curtis is a customer service agent who works out of the Los Angeles, Koreatown branch of Beach Body's call center.
The call center mostly hires minorities as temps; a status they can remain at for years. The company also employs the well-worn trope of hiring unattractive black women as "bad cop" corporate ball busters. Jeannie McClendon, who works with Curtis, is a prime example of this and she expects employees to tow the line regardless of Beach Body's immoral policies.

bunch of haters
I am a fifty one year old women who is having great success with the Yoga Booty program that Beach Body offers. I also take the supplements and now have started with Shakeology which is changing my life! My digestive system is running well (if you know what I mean) and my skin and nails are stronger.
I wich you all the best of luck wioth your exercise program but don't let a little Direct Mail issues get you down. The sompany will rectify.
Peace out and her is to all of our health!
Sure am glad they pugged that oil spill.
I'm a beachbody coach, too and absolutely love the products. Their service is ### and there are definitely hidden fees. I'm embarrassed to admit I'm actively participating in this pyramid scam, but the products do work. It's a great idea but they really need to get their act together in customer service and billing. It's not that these people are "haters" they've been charged for items they did not order or have been strung along by someone in a call center in a third-world country. It comes down to poor customer service- the most important element of running a successful business. And it is a COMPLETE joke that these customer service reps are literally copying and pasting scripted responses to these complaint and "custassist@beachbody.com" is a "personal" email address that only one rep sees, yet different reps are posting that same email address on different complaint threads. HAHA, really?! You both obviously had a taste of the Kool-Aid..
From one beach body coach to another----I love your Comment! I totally AGREEE!
P90X International fraudulent Charges
First of all, pay attention to your billing and what you are buying. Nothing is what it seems with this company. 39.95 x 3 on top of shipping and handling and sales tax. = first payment of approx 80 bucks as well as 2 installments of approx 44 bucks. Not exactly 3 payments of 39.95. Also sneaking in trial periods of on-line membership and some vitamins. Trial means its free now but you will be charged eventually. Pay attention! This means you will be charged approx 35 / month for the on-line club membership and approx 60 something every two months for the supplement. Pay Attention! you can call and cancel... 2nd of all... coincidentally the same day I was to be charged for my 2nd installment I had several fraudulent charges attempted on my credit card. One did make it through and my bank suspected fraud and put a hold on the card and denied all charges. Thank fully they are refunding the charge that made it through. I called p90x and they claim to have no knowledge of this attempt nor do they sell personal information. However, I find it very coincidental, as well as knowing on a personal note that this was a brand new account and the credit card was not used for any purchases other than the purchase of the p90x package. I am 100% confident that the two are connected. either through dishonest employees or unsecure lines on behalf of p90X. My charge was 88 and some change in Euro which amounted to 114 and some change in the us dollar plus a 3 and some change dollars in conversion fee. Totaling 119 and some change from some service station over seas under the name petro something. doesn't matter couldn't google them or find anything period. I could not understand the name of the other accounts that attempted charges I just know it was an on line company barrens.com or something similar...be careful. luckily i pay close attention and i have a great bank that looks out for me. best of luck

fraud / unauthorized charges
Don't do business with this company.

I am a real person who just joined Beach Body in September. I really love this company..
I ordered the P90X package after seeing it on television this past weekend. It promised free shipping and 39.95 for three payments. I called in, ordered the package. They offered me the weights, rod, and resistance bands for an additional 39.95 x 3 with only $14.95 shipping for the additional offer.
They charged my card $141.
When I call then, they are completely argumentative.
Warning to others, AVOID THEM like the plague, in my opinion.

charging my credit card for things I never ordered/don't own
Beachbody is a total rip off and a bunch of thieves. I ordered a set of dvds from them in June that I didn't like, too hard on my knees. I returned them exactly as instructed (called, got authorization #, wrote on outside of box, etc..). I got a refund on my credit card and never heard from them again...until today, November 17, 2009. This very RUDE woman...

They didn't send me a bill just sent me to collections. Canceled the pills and still get billed. Takes forever to get money back. This is the biggest scam I have ever got sucked into. Take my advice try to loose the wait some other way becasue these guys will drain you of a lot of money. I learned the hard way.The pills are as large as a horse and taste like ***. They don't curb your appetite and to have to take 6-8 a day forget it. I have 5 bottles to get rid of.
