Beaumont Health Blood Draw Center on Monroe in Dearborn

This is the second time I have taken my father for a blood draw and the girls at the window are RUDE. They pick on certain people to wear masks and others are sitting in the waiting area without one on. My complaint lies in the NOT SANITIZING the chair everyone has to sit in between patients. I watched three different people go in and it was NEVER done.

Beaumont Health Making an appointment they did not intend to honor

On 7/20/2021, Beaumont Beverly Hills Internal Medicine offered me a new patient appointment for 7/21/2021 at 7:40 a.m. The next morning, the computerized mybeaumontchart reminded me of that appointment, and offered e-checkin. I filled out the information and showed up at 7:40 am, only to find a locked door and a posted sign saying that the office opened at 8:00 a.m. I called the listed phone number, was transferred to the after-hours operator, and explained the situation. No resolution. After the doors opened at 8:00 a.m., I went in to check in. I was informed that since I had missed the 10-minute "grace period" for my appointment, the doctor would not see me. No other appointment was offered.

So much for "patient-centered" care. If they knew they were not going to be open, why make the appointment at all? If they made the appointment, why didn't they either open to accommodate it or offer a means to get them to open up? Is this some kind of a joke? A means of raising patient blood pressure to increase business?

Not funny.

Beaumont Health Northstar anesthesiologist billing

I received a bill from NorthStar for $13, 632 for services rendered 3/10/21. I called and spoke to billing and asked what insurance was attached to the account, she said Medicare. I asked why they hadn't billed insurance and she said we'll bill Medicare and invoice you for the difference. I asked her what the secondary insurance was and she said "Oh" that will be billed too and said to ignore the bill. If this is a "First Class" business as Beaumont has touted why the h... are they sending out invoices without billing first. This is absolutely ridiculous. How many people would just pay and not question it.

Desired outcome: Notice sent to all hospital patients that receive anesthesia to warn them about incorrect billing and to contact NorthStar before making any payments.

Beaumont Health my plan of care primary physician

My primary care physician DR. LINDA DILLON is on board with doctors deciding to have me removed from Highland Towers, Highland Towers staff is constanting informing residents that I will be leaving soon and demanding that they stay away from me and that I will just go off on people which is not true. The doctors of Highland Towers convinced my doctors to be on board with having me permantly moved to a facility and convinced my doctor Linda Dillon to be a part of this. S he is constantly calling the apt above me (apt 1022) and i can hear the calls about me in which she asks questions about if I appear to have anger issues. I do not want her involved in me losing my apt I do not have family or friends and she is causing my a great deal of pain. I have not heard from Highland Towera management staff or the doctors who come to Highland Towers. She has agreed to sign off on something the next time she sees me. No one has the right to barge into her office before my appointments to see her about me. I need help and she needs to stop.

Desired outcome: She needs to discuss anything involving me with me not others.

These actions on part of your Doctor break all HIPAA laws--tell them you are reporting them and pressing charges if they do not stop discussing your and our conditions with ANYONE without your written consent.

The apartment community supervisor is BY LAW required to not only discuss things with you, but also to provide any and all actions IN WRITING- or they are in breach of contract with your lease there...and you can sue.

If you have been verbally or physically hostile to residents or the staff- they ARE obligated by law to address the situation with you- again, verbally AND in writing...but if your aggressive behavior continues- there MAY be a clause in your lease allowing them to evict you, but because they do not want to just make you homeless- are trying (the wrong way- and not legally) to find you other housing.

READ YOU LEASE CAREFULLY! Then go to https://ocrportal.hhs.gov/ocr/smartscreen/main.jsf

This seems more like YOU out to get back at HIM.. or you would have contacted Beaumont HR directly, and filed a formal complaint.

Posting this info publicly on Social Media accomplishes nothing, except possibly getting YOU charged with slander should you not have other women to back this up, or the charges not stick.

Beaumont Health Medical malpractice

I went into Beaumont hospital 11/9/20 for an emergency, I had a sudden gush of blood come out of me. And I was 6 months pregnant. Prior to this day (11/9/2020) I never had any pregnancy complications. I just had gotten an ultrasound with U of M hospital 10/12/2020. I had plenty of amniotic fluid, our son was thriving. This event that took place on 11/9/2020 was spontaneous. When I came into the hospital and they checked me. Our son was alive and well. They stated that it seemed as though my water broke /had been broken early and that I was experiencing premature rupture of membranes /fluid leakage., that they found out through them asking me had anything been wrong. I said no, they asked about cramps and bleeding prior to, I stated no, but I have been feeling slight leakage since 11/6/2020. Very little, like a few drips in my underwear after I would use the bathroom. But no pain or blood followed. Until 11/9/2020 when I had a sudden gush of blood. They hooked me up to a monitor to check our son heartbeat and they did an ultrasound. I had fluid in my stomach, but they did say it looked like I've lost some. But there was an significant amount of fluid in me still. And Our son's heartbeat was beating well, but they state that they noticed it was rapid once, while They were monitoring and performing the ultrasound in triage where we we're. The doctor said it was important that I be admitted In order to save our baby life. They failed to keep me on 24 hour monitoring due to negligence and what I believe, racism. And bias decision making. They've now lied in my medical charts stating things like on 11/12/20 (the day they detected no heartbeat within our son) that I requested to delay his monitoring that morning, until later in the day. Which is not only a lie but upsurge. Because I was In there for emergency reasons regarding my husband and I, First and only child. Why wouldn't I want to be monitored, to check the status of his health. And if I did "so called" requested for delay in checking him (which I didn't) they should have made me sign something. To prove that what they're saying Is true. But now it's only their word against mine. And their word naturally seems to be superior, all because of technicality ;In them putting these lies in my chart. I also reported bleeding that morning to them of the 12th of November. No one decided to take any action then as well. And that was before they came In to check me and detected no heartbeat. When I came to Beaumont and was admitted, they tested me and found, that My white blood cell count was up, but they couldn't detect a infection. That is what my husband and I was told. They put me on antibiotics, to PREVENT and infection. That they believe I COULD have gotten, with having leakage. But now are saying per my medical records that I've picked up. That upon my arrival that I had an infection. That is untrue. At least based on my experience there and what they told me. They are also saying now, per my chart, that it was nothing they could have done to save our baby; When the point of me being admitted there was for them to make a professional medical judgement call ; as to giving me an emergency C-section if they seen our baby heart rate going out of the range that was appropriate to them and their medical opinion, or waiting until I was 34 weeks; if through monitoring him he seemed fine. this Is what I was told. I was 25 weeks pregnant when I came into Beaumont hospital, on 11/9/2020. I was not put on 24 hour monitoring nor was It offered when they admitted me. They monitored me on and off. I know now, according to legal advise. That they didn't HAVE to provide 24 hour monitoring for me. But I believe they exemplified negligence because they, could have put me on 24 hour monitoring. If they truly believed there was NOTHING that could have been done. Why did they have Nicu (the place for premature babies) come and talk with me and my husband, preparing us for the possibility of them having to perform emergency C-section. My medical records are also now claiming that my placenta (which they tested after I gave birth to our stillborn child) was infected. Yet no one called us and expressed this or let us know In any form. Because before that our baby was healthy and the placenta was seen to be HEALTHY. They failed to even put the proper identity of my faith /belief which is HEBREW (and I expressed this to them multiple times) in my chart. But Instead put jehovah witness in my chart. Because they expressed racism towards me and my family. The doctors have also lied and said I left the hospital against their recommendation when I didn't discharge until 11/12/2020 AFTER they let me know they couldn't detect a heart beat. In order for me to process what has taken place and grieve. Our son was already dead. Prior to I had been admitted in their hospital since 11/9/2020. I guess waiting for our son to die, with nothing they were able to do. According to my medical records. I would like an investigation to be taken place to prove that their was negligence. And that my medical records have had to been changed.

My wife was recently in Beaumont Dearborn for ten days following emergency surgery. She was on the 7th floor in a semi private room. The care she received was minimal at best with nurses complaining of short staff and being overworked. I understand the Covid complications and problems with staffing, but it seems to be the go- to excuse for every shortfall they have. Housekeeping was nearly non existent. No sweeping or mopping in the room for 3 days at a time. Human drainage puddled on the floor, waste baskets overflowing, dirty bedding changed every 2 to 3 days etc. If they don't have proper amount of staff willing to work, non-emergency procedures should be halted and diverted to emergency cases.
On a brighter side, in ten days of nursing care, two employees stood above the other nurses. I don't have the last names but they were Christine and Sierra. They both apologized for the lacking help and went out of the way to aid my wife. You need to hire more people like them. Their compassion and concern really stood out as they fought the same circumstances and problems and delivered professional nursing care.

Beaumont Health A promised given then flagrantly dismissed

I am very feeble in mobility and had an upper GI on 4/1/21. No food or liquids for many hours before test left me somewhat unsteady and in need of a support person. My son took me to the appt, I was taken to the procedure and my son was told specifically that they would call him when I was completed. They made sure they had his phone number. He wanted to wait in the car in the structure only feet away from the Imaging center. I was finished and went into the waiting room expecting that my son would be there but he wasn't. I had no phone or anything with me at all, no way to call him so I thought he would be coming when he was available. I waited 2 hours then finally went to the desk and had someone help me call him. By this time I was in a more weakened state. He was shocked because they told him absolutely they would call him. We were both upset, not a healthy response to my condition AND not a way to treat people.

This may seem like a small matter to you but it is an attitude I've met up with at this facility before several times, like it was not patient care you are concerned about which is readily reflected in attitudes, this being a fine example. I'm really sorry I scheduled with your hospital and in the future I won't.

Desired outcome: Some sort of explanation of lack of care or interest

Beaumont Health coughing for almost a year with no diagnosis

I just went to beaumont hospital emergency 1 hour ago for choking, the attending doctor said there was nothing she could do but give me a referral, (which I rejected) I told her I wanted to be admitted because of choking and chills, but she said she couldn't admit me, the following is a letter I sent to you on march, 11, 2021, this will explain my ordeal;
I have been admitted to the troy beaumont hospital 4 times since april of 2020, almost a year, I do have medicaid, so I hope that don't matter. I'm 62 years old and I had a sex change (male to female) surgery in 1994 (and regret it), a year ago I found a lump on my thyroid and had a biopsy last month, I have been going to a pulmontologist, lots of inhalers and told it's either ashtma or broncitis, an allergist (no allergies), I even went to a endrocrinolgist. my primary doctor knows I'm congested, but I have been telling every doctor and nurse in the hospital about the lump on my thyroid, I feel like I'm being choked, coughing up thick sticky plegm, losing my voice, but they said it had nothing to do with my coughing & choking. I have to sleep sitting up in a chair. I'm not really complaining per say, I just need some relief, I'm asking for some help. I know that nodules on the thyroid can cause these kind of problems. my name is Jacqueline (please call me Jack) Compeau, my phone # is [protected]. that was the letter, you would think after a year I could at least get a diagnosis., Dr. Olchawa did contact me for a follow up appointment, but at the time I was feeling ok and told her nurse I could wait for my up coming appointment on april, 16, 2021, thank you very much, please help me if you can, Jack Compeau.

Desired outcome: I need a diagnosis to get the correct treatment

Beaumont Health Health care services received

Without getting into my medical situation.

I am not onlyy ill, but my money has been taken by all of these Dr.'s in the high thousands of dollars. None of them have taken the time with me.

All they are doing is trying to get me to take repeated test so they can get paid. They have been throwing their physicians assistants to me and not wanting to take the time to help. They are listening and giving me medication making my situation worse even after telling them the side effects I have had.

Why do they keep doing this to patients?. I have no faith in any of them only Jesus.

I am filing this complaint because this needs to stop. They need to help people.

If there is anyone who can help me please give me a knowledgeable Dr. who cares.

Beaumont Health terrible service during 2 visits with my son

He is a terrible doctor he never examined my son, he never interacted with him at all and my son has scoliosis and is in pain everyday, also he said the most ignorant things. He did not care and acted like my son's condition was not serious or not even important to him at all. I am so disgusted with this doctor he shouldn't even be a doctor. I never ran across such an incompetent doctor in all my life.

Beaumont Health billing/customer service

Beaumont's doctors have been great but Beaumont's billing and costumer service is the absolute worst. My daughter received OT at an outpatient facility. I called my insurance before hand to find out how much it will cost, I provided them the therapists name and location info and they told me it would be $40. Once the bill came (for a month of services) it was $200 a visit.

My insurance explained that they billed it as a hospital facility. Ok that hurt but I called Beaumont and set up a payment plan. After a slew of other health bills, we become unable to make the payment band called to have the balance transferred to a care payment plan. On nov 14, 2019 I was told that this would be taken care of right away.

It was not as I received another bill showing we missed a payment. So I called again and spoke to a very nice lady who said yes I can see what happened her, and said she would take care of sending the balance over not to worry. This call was on Dec 12, 2019.

On Dec 30th I received a call from United Collections, informing me that the account was sent to collections. Absolutely zero warning.

I immediately call Beaumont, the lady apologizes and doesn't know what to do so she sends it to a specialist. I get a call from a specialist who tells me that it's my fault that they tried to send it to care payment but I didn't answer their calls so they dropped it. I tell her that I have not received any calls from care payment and she doesn't believe me. I tell her that I'm extremely frustrated and annoyed and she hangs up on me.

I call CarePayment to get more information. Speak with an incredibly nice customer service rep who tells me that there has NOt been any attempts to add a balance to my care payment account. She looks it up to make sure they didn't start a new account and doesn't find anything. She confirms that she has my call to them on nov 14th on record but that nobody at Beaumont ever sent or attempted to send anything over.

Nobody called me back so today on Jan 9th I call again. I speak with a rep who tells me only a portion was sent to collections and the rest is now with care payment and there is nothing they can do about it. I tell her I want to talk to a manager she says she doesn't have one, at this point I literally start crying and drop some swear words (I'm a very calm and patient person) as I know she's lying to me, and she says she'll send it to her manager.

Now I'm waiting for a manager to call. While I wait I call CarePayment to make sure that they did transfer the balance, and CarePayment has no record of any additional balances being added. They mentioned that I can take a minute to go through, so now I will have to call CarePayment again to verify, because experience has taught me that the reps at Beaumont cannot be trusted to follow through or tell the truth.

Meanwhile, every single time I have to call Beaumont to deal with this I wait on the line for 30+ minutes for anyone to answer.

Beaumont Health discriminatory hiring practices

Beaumont is way too picky with their hiring practrices. I have a friend who has worked there for several years now and he always tells me when they are hiring. I must have filled out over 40 applications by now but I NEVER hear back from them and I have a very good resume. They make you fill out these 100 question assessments at the end of the application each time which is nothing but a time consuming pain in the butt just to turn around and reject your application. I hate these [censored]s. I am tired of applying here. They make it next to impossible to even get a foot in the door. My friend told me about how his supervisor plays favorites with the staff and let's his own friends get away with murder. My friend is very hardworking and usually has to cover shifts for the lazy workers who call in sick all the time while he sometimes works double shift just to cover their butts. I will never apply here again. To HELL with Beaumont!

I had a Dr. appointment on the 2nd floor of the medical building on Little Mack at 10 1/2 Mile Rd.
in St Clair Shores on 12/1. When I entered the lobby it was FULL of sick people waiting to get into Urgent Care. I have been so careful to avoid groups and to be made to walk thru a group to get to the stairs when
the medical personnel tell you not to travel is ludicrous!
