Last year May 28/2023 my son Jack Wojcik was involved in accident which was not his fault. I have called my Insurance Company Belairdirect to inform about accident. I was given person who supposed to be adjuster.
The woman name is Lucy Ruscica she supposed to contact me or make herself available to any questions or problems we have.
Lucy Ruscica has never contacted us since the day of incident. She does not return our phone calls or e mails. We just wait for some miracles. I believe, Lucy is not working with the client she works against the client. We pay insurance on monthly instalment for the car which is not used.
Please, help us to resolve this problem

My car Insurance policy is: KKC-WYS8
My policy started on Apr 24, 2023. On April 19 I spoke to rep and told him would like to pay total amount for the year. I paid full amount of $1621.
After this I started to receive bill to ask me to pay. Between March 20 (my first phone call) to buy insurance and today (May 30) I already spoke to different people maybe 6-7 times. I had to explain each time that I paid all in full and do not owe them anything.
On May 3, I finally received statement with $0 balance.
Today I received statement again that on Jun12, I have to pay $147.
I am so upset with the service, that ready to get out of this company

I’m making this complaint because I had received bad customer service. I’ve been a customer for over 3 years. I had a recent claim and through out the process I’ve had bad service and I’ve been waiting since april for a response for my adjuster which is unacceptable all I get is it’s under investigation which has put me in financial issues dealing with rental company and auto shop …
I had the same problem with them. My car was totaled in an accident, I was deemed not at fault. They found out the other guy had no insurance and started investigating me. They eventually said they won't cover me because my address was wrong. But it was home and only legal address.
No clue how they are allowed to do this. I'm 23 and now have to pay 10k over the next few years with no recourse.
Unauthorized $280 dollar charge on my account
I have an insurance KK9-CRBW
I went into auto renewal on April 5th and belair increased the premium and called them on April 6th and they said there is nothing they can do I can cancel only with a penalty. I got a better quote with intact and made a brief call on April 24 to cancel the insurance and my insurance was cancel. The person I spoke was very nice and told my cancellation fee was $140 dollars and payment that I made on April 5th will cover the cancellation fee and I will get a refund. However I called May 8th I called for the refund and guy said there is no refund and you will be charged Tom $280 dollars and there is nothing he can do. I made another call on May9th and he said there shouldn’t be any payment taking out.
Desired outcome: Please refund my amount because insurance company they take money first and then your policy start and be considered of people and stop trying to pull unauthorized amount after cancellation.
Cancellation Fee
I have been using BelairDirect to insure my car for over 3 years. Watching no changes in my high premium after such a long time I decided to move to a different company. I have been asked to pay $255 as an early cancellation fee. I have read my insurance summary contract and I don’t see it mentioned anywhere on my contract or any other documents provided by Belairdirect that state that I would need to pay such a huge amount for terminating my premium. It is highly frustrating that I have to pay such a huge amount after being a client for soo long. I request you remove this termination fee for me or at least reduce it.
Desired outcome: Refund cancellation fee.

2 separate issues
1 - I was cancelled for a non payment which was their mess up I had changed my banking called and made sure they said it was switched and had it come out of my old account which was being closed and the money was not there. They fixed that reinstated my insurance!
2 — this time cancelled for non payment the representative I spoke with 3 weeks ago said I had till march 6 th at midnight - woke up the 6 th to pay the payment called in to pay and they said sorry it’s been cancelled nothing we can do- I explained what the representative had said this lady proceeded to tell me she’s going to talk to someone that she would be right back and HUNG UP ME - no call back nothing!
So I call today wanting to talk to a manager they said it’ll take up to 3 days for a manager to call me back the lady tried to help me accounts denied helping me due to the first issue with the banking.
Then I called back once more this guy says if I pay the remainder I can get a new policy - I had a 50/50 at fault accident in December wirh belair and now they won’t re insurance due to the non payment and the accident. But no one will help me so I now get to loose my car due to their two non payments.

I have belairdirect for car insurance for years. Recently moved to Calgary and as I wanted to obtain proof of insurance, I was told to pay a year advance benefit.
I said, I wanna stay on monthly payment as I was before, they said NO. In Alberta I have to pay a full year advance. Seriously, is it a joke? eh..I never had payment issue or cancellation or claim..none..but Im not intend to pay a bunch of money for advance and pay a high interest after this payment on any plastic. As far as I know there is not in law or regulation to do this by any insurance company. They are already have to much freedom and possibilities to screwing people. Shame on the Government who let them operate as they want and forcing people what they don't want.

I've had auto insurance since 2015. Almost every auto insurer in Canada has contacted me. Unfortunately, I have contacted Belair Direct this year for renewal. I wasted my time thinking Belair Direct was cheap. Belair Direct appears to have no regard for its customers. I believe that these strategies are employed with clients who fail to conduct adequate research and follow-up. I've only had stress since working with Belair direct for the reasons listed below.
1. The auto premium was raised by $330 (18.21%): When I spoke with Certified Insurance Agent, I forgot to mention that I had a one-month auto insurance gap; later, they discovered it and raised the premium by $330 (18.21%) from the finalized premium amount with Certified Insurance Agent, which is unjustifiable.
2. Policy coverage and premium details were NOT provided in writing via email: Belair is aware that oral testimony about policy coverage and premiums is inadmissible. As a result, Belair Direct dislikes providing detailed policy coverage and premium information by email in written format, as other insurance agents and brokers do, so that customers have written proof for future reference.
3. Different Premium Amount: After receiving an online auto quote, I spoke with three different Certified Insurance Agents. However, they provided me with a different premium for the same coverage and deductions. I believe that regardless of the number of certified insurance agents involved in the quote, the premium amount for the same coverage and deductions should be the same.

My insurance has been canceled as my son had a couple of at fault accidents. My son was listed as primary driver and co-owner of the car.
Also there was a theft incident in which police recovered the car but with damage to it. That is also showing as at fault on my record.
Me and my wife have clean record why our insurance is being canceled why.
Home insurance
Policy # 951-8021 After speaking with a representative from Belairdirect about missing one payment of $76.31 because I lost my credit card and had to wait to get a new one, I have decided to discontinue my home insurance with the company.
I called in with my new card number only to find out that I would need to pay an additional $40.00 to reinstate my standing. This was unacceptable since I've always kept up my payments, and never had any claims of any kind over 20+ years.
I received no notice whatsoever from Belairdirect via phone or email. Any other companies I've dealt with would call or send some notice as a courtesy indicating a non payment. No such notice notice was received.
Payments normally come out on my CIBC statement on 21st of each month. I missed the May payment because of the above mentioned reason, and my CIBC statement for the month of May ends on the 20th of that month.
I will also be discontinuing my auto insurance as a result if I do not receive a reasonable decision on this issue.

The lack of communication they provide their clients with is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Our vehicle was stolen on April 8 2022. We heard from the insurance agent 3 times between April 8 2022-April 11 2022. After many emails, phone calls and voicemails we finally heard back from the agent on May 2 2022 almost four weeks after we started our claim. The lady submitted us with a disgusting offer that we did not accept. When we asked her where they had gotten their number from she provided us with three dealerships from the Toronto area. We did our homework and reached out to those dealers. To our surprise these dealers did not have our vehicle - make and model on their lot and haven't had them in months. When my husband spoke to the managers at these three dealerships they all laughed and said that the price that Belair direct had offered us was way too low. Belair is a fraudulent company who have absolutely no respect for their clients. It’s sickening to think that they actually use these tactics with their customers and that some people do not do their homework and follow up. Being with Belairdirect has caused us nothing but stress. Please do yourself a favor and go with a different company who is not going to try and steal money from their customers!
Car insurance cancelation
I have been trying to contact belair and reset my password online to adjust my insurance for two weeks. I am out of country, so I cannot call, and the website server says it has been down for nearly two weeks. I have forgotten my password, and tried to reset it multiple times, but receive no email to reset the password. Ive sent multiple emails to the help email and received nothing back.
I have no clue how to get through to them without being able to reset my password, because no one is answering my email.

I recently signed-up for auto insurance with Belairdirect. I did my research - not well enough - their prices seemed to be the best. Prior to having paid, I was quoted a coverage amount for a change of address; based on that amount I signed-up. I should have recorded the phone call because when I called to confirm my address change the price increased by approximately sixty percent. The explanation for the ridiculous increase was that a few postal code rates have changed and of course, mine was one of them. Scam or legal scam? I am not sure but absolutely ridiculous! I am shocked because the company had great customer service. Maybe their idea behind the great service is to help comfort their mislead customers (like spraying perfume on poop). Not sure, but I feel as if a good Samaritan pushed me onto the tracks of an on-coming train.
I have wasted so much time and energy dealing with this company-please do not waste yours and avoid being their next victim.

My home and car insurance was increase by 24 % with no valid reason. Is this normal practice ? . This increase rate is multiple times the inflation rate (4 x).
