This company ain't good for any biz to use
This company ain't good for any biz to use. My experience with them was not good. They're annoying and unsatisfactory at best. They can't seem to handle even simple stuff. Not a good company.

I ain't got much cash in this account, but I've been watching it for like 4 years now and I spend more on their "maintenance" than it makes. I've actually lost money in their so-called "stable" environment. I could invest with another company in a "stable" environment and make a good amount even without adding more money. The lady on the phone couldn't explain why this was happening. She just kept saying "stable" and "maintenance" fee. It's not a lot of money, but without a good reason, it feels like they're ripping me off. Gonna move my money for sure. I'd give them less than one star if I could.
This company is the worst to deal with!
This company is the worst to deal with! I got laid off during the Covid-19 crisis and needed funds from my 401k to pay rent. I faxed in all requirements and called to make sure they got it. They said it would take 5-7 business days to process (which is too long, it only takes a few seconds to mail a check). I waited and waited. On the 7th business day, I called to check the status. They said my request was being processed and my check would be mailed the next business day (Business Day #8, not counting the 2 weekends that passed). I told them I needed the funds urgently, but they didn't do anything to speed up my request. This company doesn't care about people's needs. I won't let any future employer use them for 401K. If BPAS is the company they use, I WON'T PUT MY MONEY WITH THEM.
This company is the worst I've ever dealt with
This company is the worst I've ever dealt with. I've been trying to cash out my IRA from my old company, and Principal told me that BPAS had my money. I called BPAS on August 25th to see if they had my funds, but they said they had no trace of my account. After calling Principal for 2 weeks, they finally told me that BPAS had cashed the check. I called BPAS again on September 8th, but the customer service representative was useless and threatened to hang up on me. My account magically appeared after arguing with her, and I had to wait 3 business days to set up my login. I called back on September 14th to find out how to get my money, but now I have to wait 5-7 business days for them to process a 1 page form. And after that, they won't send it electronically through direct deposit like every other company. It takes them another 5-10 business days to put the check in the mail. I've been waiting for over a month now, and it's going to take 2 months from start to finish. This company is a joke. How are they even in business? They don't care about the consumer, and it's nearly impossible to find out how to get your money or if they even have it.

I been tryin to reach someone at this company for years with no ability to contact through phone
I been tryin to reach someone at this company for years with no ability to contact through phone. I was tryin to get a distribution out of this account because the fees were slowly eatin away at the small retirement account set up with them. After years and months of callin and each time waitin on hold indefinitely, I was finally able to get through and request a distribution this month and go through all of the paperwork to process my request. The check was mailed with my maiden name on it. I requested they cancel the check and reissue because my financial institution wouldn't accept a check with my maiden name. BPAS said they charge $150 to re-process and reissue the check. This amount is robbery and price gouging. THE WORST company we've ever dealt with for financial accounts. Not only can they not VOID the current check and process a simple name change, we have to MAIL THE CHECK BACK with a letter why we cannot accept the check, and send supporting paperwork, instead of uploading necessary documentation (or emailing it). No doubt this will take weeks if not months dealing with this terrible company. And then they want to add a $150 fee on top of this! What a disgrace of a company. An absolute scam and shameful company to deal with.
I dunno why, but my 401k got switched to BPAS without me knowing in 2017
I dunno why, but my 401k got switched to BPAS without me knowing in 2017. They didn't even bother to tell me or ask my permission. And then they started taking monthly fees outta my money and investing it without telling me. When I finally found out, I tried to get my money back but they wouldn't let me. They said there were no fees and I should just leave my money there. But when I checked my account, more than half of my money was gone! BPAS charges way too much in fees and they won't give me my money back. They're just trying to drain my account dry. I never wanted them to have my 401k and I never agreed to their fees or investments. They're a bunch of crooks! I've never seen an investment company charge so much or refuse to give me my money back.
I got a HFSA and a VEBA HRA account with BPAS
I got a HFSA and a VEBA HRA account with BPAS. On 05/16/2022, I swiped my card at an eye Dr but it didn't work. I checked my online account and phone app but couldn't figure out why my cards were suspended. So, I called them to know what's going on. They said that a transaction from 2/23 for $256.93 was being denied and I had to pay them back before my cards could be re-activated. They told me to send a check in the mail for this amount. I asked for a bill or documentation stating that I owed them money before I sent a check but they said no. They said they sent me notice in Jan of 2019 that they needed receipts for the transaction (which I sent) then they emailed me on 06/06 letting me know that the payment had been denied and that I would need to repay them. I asked for a copy of the email or any of the documentation but they said they couldn't provide me with it as it had all been deleted. There is a letter in my account with that date on it but the attachment doesn't work as the letter has been deleted. I told them I have no problem paying them if I owe them money but I would like a bill or written explanation for the money owed before writing a check since my online portal shows no payment needed. They refuse to send me anything. I have tried asking for documentation or a bill on 3 occasions (5/16/22, 5/17/22 and 5/19/22) with no success even after asking for a supervisor or manager. I would like to receive documentation for my own records from the company regarding this payment needed so I can send payment. If that cannot be given then I would like the charge to be dropped and my cards to be unsuspended.

I have a complaint about your company
I have a complaint about your company. I talked to some people, including a supervisor named Eugene, and they didn't give me a good answer. I lost my job at *** of Houston on April 2 because of the pandemic. I called your company a few times to figure out what to do. On June 1, I called to get my remaining balance. I have a mortgage of $1,450 and it's been on hold since April . I have three kids and I take care of my 81-year-old dad. I was hoping to use the $7,000 I had invested with my old employer to pay my mortgage. I talked to your people a few times and they never told me about the Cares Act. I found out about it myself. I thought they would tell me everything I needed to know. But when I got my check, I saw that they took out 20% for an early termination penalty. They said it was my fault for not knowing about the Cares Act. I think that's not right. They should have told me about it. I used to be a program manager and I know how important it is to tell people everything they need to know. I might lose my house because of this. I think your company is mean and sneaky. I know $2,000 isn't a lot of money to you, but it's a lot to me. I have three years to pay the 20% penalty, but I don't know if I can. I'm going to tell everyone I can about what happened. I'm also upset that your website doesn't have a way to complain. Does that mean your company is perfect? Every company should have a way to complain.
