I recently purchased an a window AC unit online. I needed get a GE 12000 BTU and 6000 BTU unit and even though their website showed availability there were none in the store or available to be shipped.
My complaint is it is impossible to call the local store. I was told by one of their customer service reps, that they stopped allowing any calls to the store.
I ended up placing an order for the only AC unit they had in stock, a GE 10000 BTU unit, and placed it with an online customer service agent who could adjust the pick up date since we were flying in from out of state to pick it up.
I never received a receipt, nor did the purchase show up in my BestBuy online order history. When calling to inquire about a receipt it is literally impossible to navigate the automated bot who only gives a narrowly curated reasons for calling (none of which fit the reason I was calling). Furthermore, an other option is not included. If one is lucky enough to get past this and speak to a live person, they cannot resolve the issue. In my case, I was told, just wait as it takes awhile for the order to populate and I should eventually see it when I log into my Best Buy account. It never showed up.
Luckily, my order was at the store (I had no record of the purchase hadn't never been sent a confirmation, or any record in my online account, but they were able to find it by my name). Since this is a rental unit, and part of an HOA, I need to send a receipt to my book keeper, and the property management company, as well as the HOA board is requesting for their records. When picking up the AC unit, I asked if the store could print me out a receipt. After waiting an extra 15 minutes to see if this was something they could do, I was told I'd have to call customer service as they could not access the order or print a receipt.
I just called their customer service number a minute ago and their automated bot is misfunctioning, furthermore it is after 8am CST, and the recording says customer service is closed with no further information on the hours they are open.
I will not buy from Best Buy again in the future and will warn friends and family it is not worth the hassle. The customer service support is the worst I've seen.
Desired outcome: I would like to be able to have this show up in my online order history of my Best Buy account, so I can have record of the purchase (placed with one of your online support reps), and be able to print a receipt. Is this possible?
These guys are pitiful. We need to stop giving them our business and tell our friends.
