I was mostly happy with Best Egg's service and promptness. It is a rip-off with the interest rate and finance charge, but I needed the money to pay some medical bills. I am a senior, disabled, and on a fixed income. I applied on a Friday and was approved on a Tuesday. I had to send some extra documentation which they acknowledged immediately. My other issue is they kept sending me letters stating that I was approved for up to $20,000. I didn't get anywhere near that. In fact, I still don't have enough to cover my bill. The people were helpful, and informative and allowed me to keep my dignity. I received a few phone messages from them as well and the woman's accent was so heavy, I couldn't understand a word she said. I even had other people listen to the message to make sure it wasn't just me. Overall I am pleased with the service and the process.

Best egg is great for people who may not qualify for a bank loan (The scrutiny alone by banking institutions excludes many folks). Best egg doesn't simply look at your credit score. They look at you individually in totality and not in part! This is almost unheard of in any lending situation. Sure, interest rates may be higher for some, but they are taking a chance on all of us in lending the money which I think is fair, especially in todays uncertain world. Best egg will help you if you can demonstrate a clear and legitimate way (they have to be able to verify) your income and you are straight up with them on transparency. I truly feel blessed and humbly thank Best egg for believing in me!

I came to them through Credit Karma and what I was shown on the offer exactly matched one of the loan options I was given. I should note that that's the first time I've had that happen, so points for attention to detail. I've gotta take a big breath here for this: their website was slick, fast, and efficient, the offers top-notch and varied, the application process direct and to the point with large fields (helps for us with vision problems), the connection to my bank was completely seamless, AND there was no wait-around to be approved, as I was literally approved after I linked my bank. I've had my share of loans in the past, but this one was by far the easiest to navigate and seal the deal.

I just recently completed a loan with Best Egg. During the course of my load, the customer service representatives were extremely helpful. When I had a pause in income during the COVID pandemic, they were flexible and worked with me, making it much easier to deal with the circumstances. I only have good things to say about my experience with Best Egg. Once my loan was completed, they extended an offer for a new loan. The rate they provided me was very good, and much lower than the rates on my credit cards. I decided to unburden myself with these credit card balances and have opened a new loan with Best Egg. I will not only save money on interest charges, but I will be working with a company that has proven they are willing to work with me. Generally, I have a little feeling of anxiety when I take on a new loan: one more thing on my plate... I don't feel that now. Instead I feel relief. Best Egg has earned my business.

Received an offer from Best Egg for a personal loan and went online to check my rate (as stated on their advertisement). After going through the entire application process, the answer was "we don't have an offer for you". My credit is above 720 and all I was looking to do was consolidate 3 credit cards totaling $17,500. I just wanted a fixed rate since the cards rates were increasing. I don't have any other debt except a mortgage (always paid on time) and our household income is in excess of $143,000 per year with a mortgage of about $260,000. REALLY? Hate the fake reviews they put out too! Very dishonest company. And I see from other reviews that they charge high fees that they don't disclose up front (you have to read all the fine print in the application process to find it). Complete waste of time.
Best Egg is a simple process for loans. Easy setup for automatic payments. Friendly employees, the few I have spoken with. Able to answer any questions or concerns. No long hold period to speak to a real person. This is my second loan, higher interest rate then I thought on the second loan with my good credit score. Over all a great experience. I would recommend to family and friends.

The dates that they were crediting my loan was a month later and was accruing intrest in those days which was coming out to be about 6.50 a day , Not like your average loan. When i called and complained the girl sent me a print out of my payments and it showed I was skipping months through the year and the months they did this they compounded the intrest. I was paying extra every month and assumed more would go toward my principle but what they are doing is holding the payment compounding it as if you were a month late , John Falzone. I have all the paper work to show this, I hope someone can stop them, for deceiving poeple this way , If nothing is done i am going to stop paying them and bring them to court. Best Egg contacted ME about being approved for a loan. I went online and filled out their required information, and was pleasantly surprised when I was approved. Thats when the issues started...First they wanted us to give them our banking login information so they could verify our bank info. Then when that was not enough they wanted a copy of a voided check. We do not have any real checks; we do not use them. We sent over a copy of our starter checks, but that was not good enough. Then they requested a copy of our latest statement, which I got a PDF online from our bank (while the guy was on the phone the whole time) and sent that to them. Best Egg confirmed they got it and said they were going to send me to their Loan service dept for finalization. I was on hold for 10 minutes then the call was dropped. I called Best Egg back and the next rep looked at our account and told us it was closed and we were not getting the loan funding. This company not only wasted my time, but outright lied to me.

I applied for a personal loan because it was recommended from Credit Karma. However, after being approved I was offered an interest rate that was HALF of what I had with Best Egg. I contacted Best Egg for a 10 day payoff letter. They refused to provide a 10 day payoff letter. They claimed that they could only provide a payoff letter as of today, but that they wouldn't get it to me for two business days. Obviously, by the time that payoff letter is received, it is invalid. They are refusing to allow customers to refinance their loan by not providing a payoff letter. This means that when another lender is trying to pay off the loan, they can't possibly pay off the full amount which leaves a balance open that they will then collect on you for - hurting your credit. There is absolutely no excuse for not providing a 10 day payoff letter same day. We are in 2021! But to say you will only provide a payoff letter dated today that you won't email to me until two days later, when it's invalid, smells like fraud to me. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

It seems the pandemic among other things have hit people realy hard. It makes things difficult on the best of days. I was skeptical of getting a loan with this comapny in the beginning, but looked information up on them from the Complaintsboard.com and read through reviews from others. I decided to go through the process for a loan with this comapny. They made it really easy to enter your information and let you know up front if you were approved. I was approved for a loan and no other action was required on my part. Now the only thing I have to wait on is the 1-3 business days for the amount to be deposited into my account. The Origination Fee was small (119.00) comapred to what other companies charge with most being double or triple this amount. I would reccommend this comapny if you need a small amount without all of the hassle of talking to people for days supplying information for them to finally make a decision. I also went through my Credit Karma profile for this offer, so I did not just find this comapny on my own. I would suggest to anyone that Credit Karma is a good comapny to have on your side to monitor your credit.

I started a loan on Thursday the 11th of November '21 and there was a bit of a mix up with the amount of the total loan. I was told that I would receive a call back from an agent the next day to revise and review but never received that call before the loan was finalized. As a result I was not able to request the amount that was desired, so I called and spoke with a manager on Saturday. The manager Aric Harris that I spoke with on 11/13 was incredibley helpful. He explained everything I needed to know thoroughly and I felt as though he was completely willing to advocate on my behalf for whatever action I desired to move forward with. He instilled in me a sense that the company and he would be looking out for all our mutual best interest. After explaining all of the options we agreed the amount finalized would be acceptable. He then proceeded to give me the exact date that the funds would hit my account (Tuesday morning, so including the initial request day 4 business days). Altogether I'm pleased with how this was handled and would recommend this company as they seem to have good employees like Aric who really just want to do the right thing for the customer. Best Egg is evidently not used to dealing with seniors who derive a good part of their income from Social Security and have enough life experience to know that many other sources of income vanish with a disaster or pandemic. I entered two chats and then made four calls, trying to get a payment date that would occur AFTER my monthly Social Security payment so that I could take advantage of Auto-Payments. My assigned due date is half a month away from my Social Security payment! The phone loan agents told me I could talk to them about changing the payment date after the loan was finalized... More to come. So far I can summarize my experience as mixed, leaning toward unsatisfactory: - The credit score they used was old and was 47 points lower than my current EQUIFAX score and 48 points lower than my current TransUnion score. - They were very NOT understanding of my need to have a regular financial cycle - The APR does not really reflect the cost of the loan because it does not factor in the "Origination Fee:". - But, even with being based on an out-dated credit score and a slanted APR, this loan was a good way for me to clear a very high APR automotive parts and repairs loan (NOT Firestone!). So I'm taking the plenty of bad with the amount of good, and hoping my experience will improve.

I must agree that the company was very easy to apply and get a check so they can start to make money off of you. They are great until you decided to pay off the loan. In 2018 I borrowed $20,000. Recently in June I refinanced my home and in the process was awarded checks to payoff some outstanding loans. Best Egg was one of them. I sent all checks to 6 companies to payoff and to retrieve the overpayment back to me. I have been fully refunded from all companies accept Best Egg. Something in my spirit told me to certified the checks so they cannot try the maybe it was lost in the mail, did you put the account number on it, what address did you use, or just give it a few more days. Well I got all of that anyway but I had something to back it up with. The certified receipt. You see Best Egg daily interest rates was $5.25. Every company received their payoff and I have received the overpayment back. When asked what was the hold up they stated they needed to wait to see if the check would clear their bank. The payoff at the time was $1500.13. The check was for $1600. As of today I have not received the overpayment and they had the check on the 1st of June at 1:30 pm. They did say however they cannot honor the date of June 1st even though they asked me to send them proof that I had a certified receipt.

Not only did Best Egg have a great fixed APR for a personal loan, but also presented me with several term/amount options out of the box. Additionally, it's easy to see that Best Egg has made user experience and process efficiency a serious priority. From the start, I never had to fill out any redundant information, the integration they have with Credit Karma took care of all of it. Submitting my application was simply required confirmation of my loan product and pre-populated financial information. After approval (took less than a minute), I was able provide an account to use for funding, and check a box to use that same account to setup auto-payment. After these two steps I was given the opportunity to look over the contract again and confirm or cancel. That's it, too easy! Lastly, though they said it could take up to three, the loan was completely funded after only one business day. I never needed to talk to a single person (or even a recording). Completely on my schedule and at my fingertips. I'm extremely happy with my decision to work with Best Egg on this loan, and I would recommend them to anyone with a adequate credit score and income.

I applied based on a recommendation from Credit Karma and I have to say that this was the fastest and easiest loan application process I have ever encountered. From start to approval it took about 5 minutes. Everything about the application was clear and straight forward and very easy to understand. All fees, interest rates, total cost of the loan, etc., etc. were explained with no ambiguities. I will update this review later once I get the money in my bank account. I got this loan to consolidate some credit card debt that I racked up during the last nearly 2 years of this pandemic. My only complaint is that I had hoped that my interest rate would be a little lower but that isn't enough of a concern to knock off even a half a star from my rating as I am going to pay it off early anyway. I got a $4,000 loan for 36 months @22.99% interest with monthly payments of just $185.78 and since I won't be making monthly payments on the cards that I'm paying off the balances on I can afford to pay at least 3X that and have the loan paid off in less than 1 year. Since there is no penalty for early payoff or for making higher monthly payments that will effectively make my interest rate much smaller. Lovin' it so far!

I have been trying for 3 weeks to obtain some form of a Paid in Full statement from Best Egg. I paid off my loan in full on 8.31.21. I initially offered to wire the entire amount to them so that it would clear the same day, this changed nothing, and I was told I would receive an email stating the account was paid off in 7 to 10 business day no matter how the funds were sent. I paid off 3 other large creditors at the same time as this loan and all of them were willing to provide a Paid in Full statement the same day if funds were received via wire, but not Best Egg, they chose to be difficult since I'm no longer paying any interest on the account. They finally sent an email stating "congratulations you paid off your loan" on 9.16.21, yet there was nothing included in the form of an actual statement showing the account was paid in full. Anyone that knows credit bureaus, which I assume they do, knows that they won't accept email as any proof of payoff and would need to see an actual statement. I've now sent several emails to loan support requesting an actual payoff either be emailed to me or faxed to my loan officer and have yet to receive a response after 36 hours. This company's customer service is a complete joke, I would never borrow again from Best Egg after this experience and I would highly recommend anyone considering a loan work with a company like Lending Club instead.

I'm filing this complaint due to the fact that they have reported be to the credit agencies as being late when in fact I've been on a re-payment
I'm filing this complaint due to the fact that they have reported be to the credit agencies as being late when in fact I've been on a re-payment program with them since the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic. I've made each payment on time every month for the last 2 years, actually the payments come directly out of my account. For the last 2 months I've been receiving phone calls from Best Egg indicating that my account is past due and they would like to offer me a re-payment program option. Seriously no one looked at my account to see that I was paying on both of my loans every month and that my account was actually not past due. Each phone call resulted in a rep stating they would escalate the issue to their supervisor and someone would call me back with a resolution as it was on their end. After a month worth of calls still no resolution. I called back today to speak with a supervisor and was bounced around until I got Jennifer, who had me on hold for a minute and then asked me to call her back, she gave me her phone number with her extension. I've had enough of the run around and paid off both loans in full and will be filing a dispute with the credit reporting agencies. After I paid off the accounts I called to have my auto payments stopped and a very nice gentleman named Patrick was very helpful and apologized for all the inconvenience I've experienced. I've never had an issue with Best Egg until recently and no one seems to know how to resolve my issue. I would like them to report my balance as closed/paid in full to the credit reporting agencies and an apology from a REAL SUPERVISOR. This experience has been draining!

They would not take a payment or adjust the first payment when my deposit was to come through the next day. The phone agent Tommy told me I should have known this. I sent emails beforehand, but someone closed the tickets with no response. I felt I was about to be shafted.
Nowhere on the customer-facing site that I could see specified the exact date of deduction. I was within the 2-3 business day window. Furthermore, on Evergreen on 47th website with the Flexible Rent overlay, a question mark says it can take up to a week. I told him this.
I relayed what happened to someone else and their response was that they weren't really flexible at all.
I am now stuck making payments directly to my renter on the same schedule with a late fee.
The flexible in the name only served to increase my comfort level.
Desired outcome: Please take my payment and start my rent deduction schedule as you promised.

I have been on a payment assistance plan with them. They set it up, with the payment amount, and the autopay, the payments have been made.
I was assured while on this plan that I would not be reported late to the credit bureaus.
I have all of the previous chat history to verify. I was promised in writing, by Best Egg on several occasions that this would not happen, and it did.
I even wrote them to confirm after the fact, because I was nervous about it, and they said 100% it would not happen.
My credit score was 700 now it has dropped 60 points do to the error on your end.
Please remove the 30-day late reported to the Credit Bureaus. It was obviously a mistake and again, I was assured in writing this would not happen.
Desired outcome: Remove the 30-day late as promised in writing

I am not now nor have I ever been a customer of Best Egg. I do not know how they received my name or home address. They are mailing me debt consolidation offers via USPS weekly. I have requested several times that they remove me from their mailing list but they have refused. I have called 11 times and spoke to 11 different people and have gotten 11 different answers. This has been going on since 12/07 and every time I call I am told a new contract date and a new funding date. I have also told them I receive Emails telling me my first payment is due 01/07/2022 but yet I have not been funded my loan. what is going on here?
For some reason this company is pulling a soft credit inquiry on me every month. I do not have a loan with them and I'm not sure why this is happening without my permission. I wish for my personal information to be removed immediately and any future credit inquiries stopped.

I do not know how they made such a clerical error. Nonethless, when I called them because they put negative marks on my credit report for never paying. The problem is they are a hard lending who sets up taking automatic payments. We have no choice but to do automatic payments. I never called and told them to stop or never take out payments.

I totally paid off my two accounts with Best Egg. They said they would send me a confirmation number and didn't. Now they've gone into my account and stolen $203.74 after I paid them in full. I want my money back. This is a loan shark cheesy company that I got stuck with through Credit Karma.

This account was in a debt settlement program and they agreed to settlement and Freedom Debt paid them every month no specific date was assigned but they reported to credit bureau every month late this is false reporting

Their reporting to the credit bureau of my payment history. All payments have been made on time through a third party, Freedom Debt Solution, and the debt has been paid as of March 29. Best Egg is reporting that all of the payments were 60-90 days late and the account status is currently in collections, which is not true. This negatively impacts my credit and affects my job, this is the only account on my credit reflecting such aggresious and blatant falsehoods. I have disputed these on the credit bureaus every month for the last 6 months to no avail, so I am reaching out to The complaintsboard.com for relief.

I WANT to pay this company off but their customer service keeps saying they are filling out information to send to the resolution department and no one contacts me. Now this is on my credit as 70 days past due---I want this removed and to pay this Company with the resolution department understanding what was interest in last 70 days and what is principal---which by Law they must provide. I applied for a loan of $11,500 from Best Egg through Credit Karma based on household income of 80k. It provided me with 4 terms and I chose the 5 year term. When I clicked on the 5 year term, it provided with list of payments, proof of my banking information which I provided my personal sign in information. This document was authentic and indicated after providing a verification phone call and pay stub, it would provide funds with 1-2 days in my account. Never did it indicate that 80k income had to be my name only as it requested household income, This was extremely misleading, discouraging and disappointing, after contacting a representative, (Felicia) through a chat last night indicating that loan would not be approved. I want the "Hard Inquiry" removed from credit report and furthermore want no more solicitation from "Best Egg".

Applied for a personal loan for $30,000 on 5/19 due to financial hardships with my employer cutting my salary down due to pandemic. A few months after I signed the loan agreement, I decided I did not need it anymore. Knowing that I could have borrowed from a much cheaper source with lower interest rates, I contacted Best Egg to lower my monthly payments and interest rates. My monthly payments are $920.55, but since the beginning of 2021, I requested a $500 payment cycle with 0% interest. The problem is that now I am unemployed and my unemployment benefits are not yet available, meaning that paying my monthly loan payment is nearly impossible at this time. As of this time of writing, my loan payoff amount is $25,414.67, which is incredibly annoying because the interest rate was originally way too high for comfort. Even with the payment cycle adjustment, this loan is going to be stuck with me for a long time unless I can get the full refund of my payoff amount.

Hello, I had a settlement agreement w/ Best Egg. As of Jan ' 21 I had only $1,218.00 left to pay per the agreement. I spoke to an agent in Dec 2020 who informed me that I did not have to make monthly payments, just have the settlement amount paid off by 6/30. This agent helped me to discontinue my recurring mo. payments. When I called on June 10th to pay off the settlement balance, I was informed my account had been charged off & was w/ a 3rd party to collect payment. I called Best Egg and after multiple phone calls was able to speak with Darielle who informed me they contacted me via email in January that my payment was not received. I never received the email & they admitted they sent nothing via phone or the US Postal Service and they admitted the email was the only contact they made. Keith from escalations phoned me today & informed me the company did NOT do a good job of making contacts but refused to pull back the charge off and accept the settlement agreement.

I had set up a temporary COVID Financial Assistance agreement with Best Egg
I had set up a temporary COVID Financial Assistance agreement with Best Egg. My monthly payments would be lowered for a period of time, until I resumed full time hours at my job (due to COVID restrictions). Please note - this is the 2nd time this issue has happened with Best Egg. On March 1, they withdrew the full amount of my "regular" payment, instead of the agreed upon new, temporary rate. Once I realized, I called them immediately and was told that my payment would be credited back to my account and an expedited request to do so would be put in their system. Fast forward to today, 3/16 and I STILL have not received the credit and in addition they went ahead and withdrew the new amount agreed upon. I have provided bank statements at their request, showing the refund has not been credited back to my account. I have spoken to countless representatives, engaged in countless emails with reps...No rectifying the matter. I just want my refund, as promised. It's unfair and unethical.

I have/had two loans with Best Egg. The advertised interest rate and the actual interest rate applied were misleading. My 5.32% rate was actually 8%, and that was with me paying it off months in advance. When I spoke to Tonya's supervisor, she apologized if they did not explain the details and offered to send me brochures explaining how they double the interest rate. I had a $25,000 loan at 5.32% and ended up paying 8.1% due to some fraudulent calculation only they use of adding my principal + my interest rate + days between payments + daily interest. That's not fair nor ethical. Simple interest of $25,000 should have been $1,330. And with me paying it off early, the interest should have been less than $900. This is a scam. I have a second loan with Egg that I am currently paying over the 6% initially offered. No one explained to me these extra charges and fees and daily interest, plus days between payments. I want a refund in the interest paid vs. what I was originally quoted for both loans. Especially with times being hard with covid-19 and furloughs, for a company to continue these unethical practices, they should drop to a D in the Complaintsboard.com rating. Research and I bet I am not the only one. Look at all the complaints on this site. Not one or two, but hundreds of people just happened to be mislead, hundreds of people just happened to have some weird calculation of interest added without knowing, hundreds of educated people who have paid off loans from other institutions and get rewarded for paying them off early are upset because Egg manipulates their simple interest rate and takes advantage of people. Please do something, whoever reads this. Please recalculate both loans at a simple interest rate and refund me the difference. Every other company in the world is taking care of their customers during this pandemic. Egg needs to do the right thing and stop with the accured, special daily interest, in between days, times your principal, misleading calculations, and refund me the difference. And also, your representatives and Supervisors need to have a little more empathy and power to do something other than send out brochures.

I've been a Best Egg customer for Probably about 2 years now, never really had any issues until now
I've been a Best Egg customer for Probably about 2 years now, never really had any issues until now. My payment due date is the 24th of each month. This particular issue started with the payment I made 9 which was for 8 because I had not made that payment yet. Well, unbeknownst to me, the payment was returned by my bank because I had forgot I cancelled the card because I thought it was lost. I call and make a payment 10/23, the Rep. I spoke with made no mention to me of the previous payment that was returned so I'm thinking this payment would be credited for 9. On 11/6 I ended up speaking with a Supervisor regarding my account. She went over with me about my account being past due gave me a PAYMENT HOLIDAY for 9 and 10. Informed me that those payments would be tacked on to the end of my loan, that she would also remove the late fee and I would just need to set up automatic withdrawal for 11 and 12 payment, which I did. She DID NOT TELL ME THAT I WOULD BE REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS. I then find out that I'm MARKED DELINQUENT ON ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS BY BEST EGG FOR THE MONTHS I WAS GIVEN THE PAYMENT HOLIDAY FOR. How could they give me a payment holiday and then turn around and mark me delinquent for the VERY SAME MONTHS. That not only doesn't sound logical but out right wrong to do so. So On 02/26, I spoke with a Rep. in the Customer Response dept. and informed him of this. His response was that delinquencies are reported based off account status at that time. OK, so what was the point of giving me a payment holiday Then. I call back yesterday to give it another try and getting the delinquencies removed, spoke with another Rep. in the Customer Response Dept., informed of the situation. The Rep told me she reviewed my previous calls and kept reiterating about my account being past due and basically, in so many words, confirmed that I was not told any credit bureau reporting would take place. She told me she would have my account reviewed and would call me back the next day (today) which she did. And informed me the delinquencies would have to stay on my reports. I asked if this was their standard policy across the board with all customers. Her response, I can't answer for other customers. And do they have this in writing, still no clear response. Asked, what is her definition of a payment holiday, still no clear response. I requested a call from her Manager, he called me today and basically just reiterated what the previous Rep. told me. Though he did offer other payment assistance programs to me. But I told him that was nice of him but my issue RIGHT NOW is the delinquencies. He told me that he could not remove them unless there was an error on their part. Which I told him I felt it was, wrong for the Simple fact of not informing me that though the payment holidays would be given to me I would still be marked delinquent. I want the delinquencies removed from all three credit bureaus as I believe it was unethical for them to put it there.

I paid off the two active loans ([protected], [protected]) i had in full on 5/8 which show as processed but the loans still show as active. I need these to close out and the credit bureaus updated so they don’t show as having a balance any longer But they need to be showed as paid off first.
