CIT Group, Inc. is a bad company. They made me wait for days to borrow a small amount of money, but then asked for 5 times the amount in collateral. Even though I have good credit, they rejected my loan after telling me it was guaranteed. This ruined my credit score and they treated me like a rented mule. The people working here are unprofessional and inexperienced. Be careful if you decide to do business with them.

This mortgage company is terrible. It's super hard to reach anyone in customer care. I tried to do a recast option, but they took 45 days to process it. They said I wouldn't have to pay more in October, but they were wrong and won't fix it. It took them forever to respond and they won't do anything to help. The service is just terrible.

The person I spoke to was helpful, but their computer system wasn't sending the codes I needed to reset my account. This was yesterday, August 9th. Today, I had to wait 94 minutes to talk to someone again. I'll have to call back when I have more time. I was attracted by their high interest rates, but now I'm only getting .25%. I'm going to move my money out as soon as possible, but if this keeps happening, I might have to get a lawyer.
This company is the worst
This company is the worst. We had a problem where my equipment won't be built for 6 months and now they are charging me insurance on something that doesn't exist yet and has no serial number. My sales guy said he was going to take care of it, but he never did. When I started calling every day to get answers, my sales guy got an attitude with me. Now I'm just getting ignored by him and the head sales guy. They won't answer my calls or my emails. This is not acceptable for a corporate company to deal with problems. I don't recommend this company to anyone.

CIT Group is like, the worst ever. If you're thinking of investing in them, you gotta know they're always going bankrupt and then making new stock. They say they've been around for like 100 years, but they went bankrupt super early on. I lost all my money investing in CIT Group in 2008. And none of the managers got in trouble for scamming us investors. They should have been shut down in 2008 for stealing our money, even if it wasn't technically illegal. It was just so wrong.

cit is a good company. i got a loan for $6000 at 4% to buy a trailer for my biz. it was easy to do. i was busy with my biz so i liked that it was easy. but now i want to pay it off and they say i owe $8000. they are liars and bad people. i trusted them but it was my fault for not getting it in writing. don't use cit ever.

I recently had a bad experience with CIT Group, Inc. I bought some items from them in 2018, but some of the items had flaws and I had to return them. They issued me a credit, but they didn't remove the charge from the promotion. I paid off my account in June , but they are still asking me to pay off a balance that was never removed from the promotion. I am still paying monthly payments for an item that was returned to Home Depot. I have sent paperwork via fax, certified mail, and regular mail, but I am still waiting for my refund. No one seems to be helping me with this issue. Someone told me to reach out to this department for help. Can you please help me with this issue? Thank you.

My store had some gear that we bought using cit group to finance the purchase. We bought the extra insurance that they gave and were told it would replace the gear if something happened. My store was destroyed in the tornadoes in December . This company was and has been what I can only call, heartless, deceitful, and unethical. We have been asked to make payments even though the insurance has paid this company out in full. Additionally, the insurance that was bought through them DID NOT cover replacement and instead gave CIT the option to replace or to pay off the balance. They chose not to replace the gear. I can only say that this is the kind of company that shouldn't exist at all and I hope there are serious legal repercussions for these kind of business practices. Shame on them and I can only hope they reap what they sow.

I got approved for a big $150,000 loan from CIT Group, Inc. for equipment, but I only needed $4,000. We talked a lot and I signed the contract, but the monthly payment was more than they said it would be. They took $231 from my account and told me to wait for the equipment. After two weeks, I emailed them to ask what was going on, but they just said "sorry, we changed our minds" and that was it. I can't believe it! They approved me for a loan that was 40 times more than what I asked for, took my money, and then said no. That's not fair! They should have said no before they took my money. This company is so unprofessional and disorganized. They don't know how to talk to people or keep them informed. When I called to ask what happened, they were rude and told me to send a letter instead of an email. I don't recommend doing business with them.

Closing an account with CIT Bank is a nightmare. Not only did it take 3 months, but they failed to complete the request properly. What is even more frustrating is that they had a wire transfer option but was never explained or disclosed. I'll never bank with them and you are better off banking with someone else. What a nightmare.
CIT Group is absolutely the worst
CIT Group is absolutely the worst. I asked for an account balance in April because our contract was coming to an end. They provided me with a balance and at the end of our contract in July, they charged us a termination fee, which apparently is standard even though we did not terminate the contract but actually paid it in full. They refused to give us the security deposit back and overcharged us on the last payment based on the information they provided us in April. The customer service was horrendous. We will NEVER finance with this company again. If I could give them negative stars, I definitely would.

the did not follow the Truth In lending Act, I was not told of all fees that i would charged with the loan. the loan was set up in September and loan # ***, with a $250.00 processing fee and 12 equal monthly payments of $686.25. First payment and processing fee paid up front. The last payment had a $379.00 add fee to it after several calls and an email I was told on the phone it was a loan termination fee. Prior to singing the loan I asked if there was any other fees with the loan was told No, and none were listed in the Truth in lending terms and conditions section. They told me to look at section 11 of the agreement, however even that dose not state that there will be a charge and for how much, only many, many possible charges. not listed in the loans Cost.the loan payment were Auto Drafted from my checking with no late payments.

I was approved for a vehicle loan with Cit Bank, but they failed to provide me with a copy of the loan contract. All I did was electronically sign for the loan, but they never showed me any documentation. Now that I wish to pay off the loan completely, I'm thinking it was one amount, but when I ask them for the payoff amount so I can settle the vehicle loan, they give me a totally different figure than expected. Cit Bank wants to charge me an undisclosed sum, and the vehicle, with taxes included, was sold for a certain price. They won't explain the additional charges, despite my having signed a contract for a specific amount. They claim I agreed to 60 payments at a set monthly rate, yet they refuse to disclose the interest rate they are charging me. Moreover, they never showed me the contract I signed and continue to provide evasive responses without accurate information.
I requested a Spanish-speaking representative, but they informed me they don't have one available. I explained to the Cit Bank representative that had I been shown the contract and correct numbers, I would never have purchased the vehicle. I also pointed out that the amount they are charging me is nearly half of what the vehicle is worth. Their only response is that they don't provide a breakdown of the interest.
The individual responsible for sending the email contract never responded to my calls or replied to my messages. The client service contact also never returned my calls or messages. Another representative, who changed the information every time we spoke, eventually told me she no longer works for CIT and directed me to contact someone else. When I called asking for this person, I was told that no one by that name worked there. After several attempts to reach out, this representative simply disappeared.
I have been trying to close my account with CIT since 10/17/2022. I sent them a secure message with no response. I also tried to call them four times and each time it had long wait times. When I leave my number for a callback to speak with an agent, I finally get a call hours later and it redirects me to an agent, but then it says he is unavailable and afterward, the phone line just plays music and nothing happens. Please close my account and transfer my funds to the external account on file at the financial institution you have records of. Thank you.

I contacted the bank in order to ascertain the status of my bonus and the fine print regarding closing my account, due to the APY consistently going lower due to the difficult times. The bank's response informed me that my account is not eligible for any bonus because I did not enter a promo code. This must absolutely be false as I researched the bonus carefully, and I can prove through statements that I deposited exactly 50k into this account and have let it sit there for the past 2 + months. Why would I do exactly these steps if I was not aware of what I needed to do to get the bonus I carefully read about? Also I looked up the promo code again today, and saw it was ***, and I absolutely remember this code as being the same one needed when I opened up the account.

I opened a checking account with CIT the end of July 2022. I have a balance of $6,000.00.I tried to wire transfer $5500 on July 29, 2022.. My receipt said it was processed. Later in the day, I checked my account and couldn't get access. I was told my account is under review. I have called numerous times and nobody is telling me anything. I was just given a phone number to fraud prevention department on September 6th 2022. I can only leave messages. No body has sent letters (like they said they did) and no calls. Please have them refund the money I deposited.

I cannot access the account or my funds. I am an online banking customer and do not have in-person, telephone, or online access. As of 8/7/22 I continue to be informed by customer service that my account is inaccessible due to an error. I was told the issue was reported to the online banking department and they are investigating the error. I was not given any further contact information or an estimated date by which the error would be resolved. *** told me I could not have the funds returned at this time. I transferred $5000 to a CIT Bank personal bank account. The $5000 was received by CIT Bank. I cannot access the $5000 or have it returned to me at this time due to a failure of CIT Bank.

Weve been waiting 30 days for our funds to be returned. The amount is *** million dollars. Our association was convinced to invest in CDs with this company from our management company. However once all paperwork was processed and the payments were taken I was hit with a completely different and exorbitant interest rate. I am requesting CIT to update my billing information on an account I have had with them for over 2 years. They provided me with a form, which I completed and submitted. Accompanying this form, I provided my business name change as listed on my CA Articles of Organization showing my former name and current. I also provided information regarding the business banking account they are currently processing my monthly automatic payments and the new account that I am requesting they process future withdrawals. As my company, *** has gone through organizational changes due to the legal name change from ***, I have been trying for 3 weeks to get CIT to update my account so I can close out the current banking account that they are still processing monthly charges. CIT is demanding that I fill out a new credit application in order to have my payment information updated. I have emailed them and called them in regards to this demand. I am not applying for new financing and have expressed my discontent that they are demanding a new credit application in order to update my banking information.

We leased a xerox machine from Transco, the financing was through CIT. Cust. #*** Contract ***. When our copier was up for replacement, we closed out the lease contract with CIT and Transco then issued another finance lease through another finance group. Our lease with CIT was paid in full and CLOSED 11/21. We continued to received the same monthly billing and unfortunately our billing clerk was unaware that this was not to be paid and continued to pay right through April 22 before it was caught. I contact CIT, provided them all the necessary paperwork and details, the realized their mistake and they once again in May, closed out the account. A refund for over $3,000 was then issued to us. Since that time, they have continued to send up bills for $ *** as a past due balance for 2/28/22. Every month I call, every month they say they will fix it, every month, we risk a new billing clerk not knowing it's a fraudulent bill and will pay it and we will have to go through the whole mess again. We are a business, and we do not have time for their fraudulent attempts to sneakily get more money. NOR do we need a past due balance being placed on our excellent credit rating due to their inefficiencies.

My Dad had accounts at CIT bank. He died on May 22. I am the legal Personal Representative of his affairs. I was contacted by letter by this bank that there was more money in one account. I was told that I had not received any money, and the only one who had was my sister. Not true! I also received money as a beneficiary of the account. Evidently, there is another account, a CD, and they want me to send another Death Certificate, when they must have one already because money was dispersed already to my sister and I, so we already went through the process. They also want me to send a signed, notarized letter telling them what I want done with the money. And they will not even tell me how much of the dispersal is mine. I was somewhat confused about the request so I have tried to call back several times in the last few days but the wait is over 1 1/2 hours. And when someone finally started to go on the phone, the line was busy. I feel like I am getting the run around. Also, they told me to go online and get a form. I went online but cannot seem to get anything without signing in, which I can't do as the account is in my Dad's name. I would like the bank to contact me, at a time convenient to me, and let me talk to a manager or someone in charge so that I can fully resolve this.

I have a checking account with a bank which on 05/08/22 had a certain balance. I did not make any withdrawals or debit charges on this account, but the next day, my balance decreased to $383.42. I tried contacting the debit card service multiple times unsuccessfully. The automated system kept me on hold for hours. I called the bank's main line and encountered the same issue. Later, I visited the bank in person and spoke with the manager, who informed me of a bank merger and difficulties in filing a claim. After insistence, he attempted to use the automated system but failed. He promised to assist, yet my funds remain unrecovered. I'm concerned the bank will not refund the money that was under their protection. The bank's merger should not cause me to lose my funds. Can you assist in recovering the money taken from my bank account?
