Reliable and Affordable: My Experience with Booktopia
I've been shopping with Booktopia for years now and I gotta say, it's been a pretty sweet ride. I ain't never had a bad experience with them yet, which is saying something. The prices are pretty darn good too. I mean, sometimes I check out other sites just to make sure, but like 90% of the time Booktopia is cheaper and way more reliable.
And let me tell you about their newsletter. Every month they send you one and if you sign up for it, you get a free shipping code that's good for like two weeks. That's perfect for me since I always buy my books in bulk. By the time I'm done reading them all, the free shipping offer is back again.
And their delivery time? Spot on, every time. I've never had to wait longer than they said I would.
So yeah, I'd definitely recommend Booktopia to anyone who's looking for a good deal on books. They're legit.
Booktopia Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Communication
I recently made a purchase from Booktopia, ordering two books on December 11th, 2018. The website indicated that the books were available and in stock, but unfortunately, this was not the case. I was disappointed to learn that the books were actually waiting for stock to arrive. It wasn't until 24 hours later, after I had already paid for the books, that I received an email from Booktopia informing me that the books would not be in stock until December 18th-20th.
I was frustrated by the lack of communication from Booktopia and decided to email them requesting a call back to explain the situation and to request that they post the books via Express shipping, as they were intended to be Christmas presents. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response from the company.
To my dismay, I received an email confirmation on December 22nd, 2018, indicating that I would not receive the books until January 3rd, 2019. This was a major inconvenience, especially since I had experienced a similar issue with an order I placed with Booktopia back in 2016.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Booktopia. While I appreciate that stock availability can be unpredictable, I believe that the company could have done a better job of communicating with me throughout the process. I hope that Booktopia takes steps to improve their customer service in the future.
Booktopia Review: Frustrating Experience with Availability and Customer Service
I recently had a frustrating experience with Booktopia. I was excited to find a book I had been searching for on their website, and it was listed as available. However, after I paid for the book, I received a confusing email that left me feeling like I had been scammed. The email stated that I would have to wait 120 days to receive the book, and there was no guarantee that I would even receive it within that time frame. To make matters worse, when I tried to contact customer service, I was unable to get through. I waited on hold for 120 days, just to have my call go unanswered.
I believe that this type of behavior is unacceptable and needs to be stopped. Booktopia should be more transparent about the availability of their products. If an item is not available, they should simply state that on their website, rather than leading customers on and taking their money. Additionally, I think it's unfair to charge customers $7 for shipping when they may not even receive the item they ordered.
Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience with Booktopia. I would not recommend this website to anyone, as it seems to be a scam. I hope that consumer affairs will take notice of this issue and take action to prevent others from falling victim to this type of behavior.
Booktopia Review: Hassle-Free Ordering and Timely Delivery!
Booktopia is a great place to buy books! They have a huge variety of books that I was interested in, and I was able to find the exact title I had been searching for. Ordering was easy and payment was hassle-free. The website is easy to navigate and all the links work perfectly, taking me to the pages I expected.
Throughout the process, Booktopia kept me informed with communication about payment, receipts, order, and delivery. This made me feel anxious for my order to arrive, which it did in just a few days. I was expecting a longer wait, but it arrived in a very timely manner, well packaged and with easily identifiable delivery details. The whole process was very impressive, just like my previous orders.
I will definitely be using Booktopia's services in the future and I happily recommend them to anyone looking for a great book-buying experience. Thanks heaps Booktopia! Now it's time for me to get back to my book!
Disappointing Experience with Booktopia: Glitch in Stock Ordering and Lack of Communication
I recently had an experience with Booktopia that left me feeling quite disappointed. I made my first order with them on August 26th, not realizing that there was a lead time of 7-10 days as the stock is ordered directly from the supplier. This was my own fault for not reading the information before placing my order, but I was willing to wait.
However, on September 14th, after not receiving any further updates on my order, I decided to contact Booktopia. I was informed that there had been a glitch and the stock was never ordered from the supplier. I was told that I would have to wait another 7-10 days before my order could even be shipped. I was quite frustrated by this, as I had already been waiting for nearly three weeks without any communication from the company.
I don't understand how this kind of mistake can happen, and I was disappointed that I wasn't informed until I contacted support myself. Overall, my experience with Booktopia has been quite disappointing. I don't think I'll be returning to this website, and I would encourage others to avoid it as well.
Booktopia's Refusal to Take Down My Book: A Frustrating Experience
BOOKTOPIA WON'T TAKE DOWN MY BOOK!
So, I had a bit of a situation with Booktopia. You see, I made a deal with Amazon and left Ingram behind. But Booktopia, who got my book from Ingram, didn't take it down from their website. I tried emailing them, but they just told me to talk to my publisher. But my publisher had stopped distributing my book and said it was between me and Booktopia.
I finally got through to them on the phone and they took down the paperback version, but they left the ebook up. And that's a big problem because Amazon is getting impatient with me.
I've been trying to reach Booktopia for weeks now, but they won't answer my calls or emails. It's ridiculous that I might have to hire a lawyer just to get them to delete my book page. It's such a simple thing!
This all started back in September of 2019 and it's now October 11th and still no response from Booktopia. I'll keep you updated on what happens.
Update: It's now late October and after countless emails and two international calls, they finally took down my book. It was a frustrating experience, but at least it's over now.
Misleading Selling Practices: My Experience with Booktopia Australia's Local Store
I recently had an experience with Booktopia Australia's local store that left me feeling a bit frustrated. I found a book I wanted to purchase and clicked the "Buy Now" button. The page printed that it would ship in 10 to 15 business days, which was plenty of time before Christmas. I was excited to support a local store and eagerly proceeded with my purchase.
After I paid, I received an email stating that my order had been processed and that they had confirmed the availability of the items with their suppliers. This confused me because the page had advertised "Buy Now," which to me implied that they had the book in stock and ready to ship. I felt like they were being misleading by selling books they didn't actually have.
I understand that it's common for businesses to order items as needed, but in this case, I felt like they should have been more transparent about the process. Instead of advertising "Buy Now," they could have said something like "Order This Book" to make it clear that they didn't actually have it in stock.
To make matters worse, I didn't receive any updates about my order, so I decided to call the local store. Luckily, I had included a message to the seller asking them not to accept my order if they couldn't deliver it before Christmas. Despite knowing that they didn't have the book and couldn't deliver it in time, they ignored my message and processed my order anyway.
I was frustrated that I had to call to get an update on my order and that they didn't honor my request to cancel it. I eventually received a refund, but if I hadn't called, I wouldn't have received my Christmas gift.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Booktopia's local store. It felt like they were using shady selling practices that I usually associate with eBay sellers. I hope that they can be more transparent in the future and avoid misleading customers.
Booktopia's Inaccurate Information and Unhelpful Customer Service
I recently used Booktopia to order my university books for my units. I found the website easy to navigate and quickly found the book I needed for my course. However, I encountered a problem when my lecturer informed me that we needed a different book than the one I had purchased from Booktopia. I was disappointed to learn that the website had provided me with incorrect information.
I decided to contact Booktopia's customer service through their live chat feature to see if I could exchange the book for the correct one. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was not very helpful. They told me that it was my fault for not checking with my lecturer first and that their website was only a guide. I was surprised to hear this, as there was no indication on the website that it was only a guide. I had assumed that the information provided was accurate and up-to-date.
Despite my attempts to explain the situation and request an exchange, the representative told me that I could not exchange the book and that it was considered a change of mind purchase. I was disappointed to hear this, as I had only purchased the wrong book due to incorrect information provided by the website. I had hoped that Booktopia would be more understanding and willing to help me find a solution.
As a result, I now have a $50 book that is of no use to me. I am disappointed with the service I received from Booktopia and will not be recommending them to my friends and family. I believe that they should take more responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided on their website and be more willing to help customers who encounter problems.
Booktopia Review: Misleading Shipping Times and Lack of Transparency
I gotta say, I'm pretty fed up with all the bad stuff that happens to me. And my latest experience with Booktopia is no exception. I mean, come on, can't we just have a little bit of honesty and transparency in our business dealings? I ordered a book from their website, and it clearly said it would ship within 2 weeks. That's why I chose Booktopia in the first place - I figured I'd get the book faster than if I ordered from some overseas company like Amazon. I mean, it's gotta be in stock in Australia, right?
But no. After I placed my order and waited a month, I finally decided to follow up. And what did I find out? That the book wouldn't even arrive at the Sydney warehouse for another 6 weeks! And then I'd have to wait even longer for a tracking number to Melbourne. That's a total of 8-10 weeks for a book that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks. And nowhere on the website did it say the book was out of stock. It's like they just took my money and then decided to order the book later.
I mean, seriously, if you don't have the product, don't advertise that you do! It's just not fair to the consumer. And the information on the website should be a lot clearer. I would have been much happier paying double the book price for air-freight from overseas and getting the book in the advertised time frame. At least then I would have known what I was getting into.
So, yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with Booktopia. I hope they can change their business practices and be more honest with their customers in the future.
Booktopia's Lack of Transparency and Poor Customer Service
So, I ordered a book from Booktopia and waited patiently for it to arrive. When it finally did, I was excited to dive into my new read. However, I soon discovered that the book was now on sale, despite me having paid full price for it just a few days prior. I was confused and a little annoyed, so I reached out to their customer service team for an explanation.
The person I spoke with, Jannah, seemed to be deflecting my question and didn't give me a clear answer. She mentioned something about the printing company changing suppliers, which apparently resulted in the new stock being cheaper. But here's the thing - the RRP of the new stock was actually almost $10 more than what I had paid for the pre-order version. So, why wasn't a discount applied to pre-orders?
I was frustrated by the lack of transparency and felt like my intelligence was being insulted. I would have been fine with not receiving a refund if they had just given me a logical explanation. Instead, they gave me the runaround and tried to placate me with generic corporate speak.
Overall, my experience with Booktopia was very poor and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of other companies out there that are more honest and transparent with their customers. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to using their services, but now I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Disappointing Experience with Booktopia: Poor Customer Service and Inability to Purchase University Books
Booktopia is a website where you can buy books online. Some people might think it's great to be able to buy everything online, but for me, it's not an option. Unfortunately, Booktopia has made it impossible for me to buy my university books anymore. I really wish the Co-op bookstore would come back because at least I could physically go into the store and buy my books. The customer service at Booktopia is a joke. The whole thing is just a mess.
Booktopia Review Delay: Is the Site Slacking or Am I Too Eager?
So, I wanted to share my thoughts about Booktopia. I sent them a review about a book on 6/8/17 and got a message from them on 7/8/17 saying they received it. But, it's been a while now, and my review still hasn't been posted on their website as of 21/08/17. I did ask them about it a week ago, and they said someone was away but would be back soon. I'm not sure if I'm just being too eager or if Booktopia is slacking off a bit. Either way, I hope they get on it soon!

Booktopia's Download Process Needs Improvement
I gotta say, I was pretty bummed out when I couldn't download the book I bought in epub format from Booktopia. I mean, they advertise that their books are downloadable, right? But turns out you need some fancy software to actually read the darn thing. Wish they made that clearer from the get-go, ya know?
So I reached out to their customer service for help, but all I got was some generic FAQ response. Not exactly the most helpful thing in the world.
It's a real shame, too, 'cause I was hoping to support an Aussie book store. But if they can't even make the downloading process easy for their customers, I'm not sure I'll be shopping with them again.
Disappointing Experience with Booktopia: Delayed Delivery, Out of Stock Books, and No Refund
I was really excited to order my books for next semester from Booktopia. They promised that my books would be posted within 3-4 days, but after a week had passed, I still hadn't received anything. I tried calling them, but couldn't get through to anyone. Finally, I decided to try their live chat, and was disappointed to hear that they didn't have one of my books in stock and had no idea when it would be available. They said it would probably take another 2 weeks! I was really frustrated by this, so I decided to cancel my order and ask for a refund. Unfortunately, I still haven't received my refund yet. Overall, I was really disappointed by my experience with Booktopia.
Disappointing Experience with Booktopia: Delayed Order and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Booktopia. I placed an order on November 30th and it's been two whole weeks and I still haven't received all my books. Only one has been confirmed as ready to ship, and I'm all the way down in Victoria while they're up in Sydney. It's ridiculous that it's taking this long to get my order, I swear it's faster to get something from overseas than it is to get it from this half-asleep country.
I've tried calling them up to see what's going on, but I can't even get through because of the high volume of calls they're getting. And to top it all off, they've already taken the money out of my account, so now I'm just sitting here waiting for my books to arrive before Christmas.
Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll be using Booktopia again after this experience. It's just not worth the hassle and the wait.
Disappointing Service from Booktopia: Delayed Dispatch and Conflicting Information
I recently ordered some books from Booktopia and was disappointed with the service. The website said that the books were ready to be shipped in 1-2 days, but it's been a whole week and they still haven't been dispatched. I tried calling their customer service line, but it took almost an hour to get through. When I finally did, the representative wasn't very helpful.
I decided to try the online chat instead, which was readily available. However, the representatives I spoke to just kept giving me conflicting information. One person said that my order had been escalated, while another said that it was "stuck" in the warehouse. Another representative told me that it was being sent express, but the next person said that they couldn't give me a dispatch date.
Overall, I'm very frustrated with the service I received from Booktopia. I think that we might have a case for the ACCC, as it seems like they're not being honest with their customers. I would not recommend using this website if you're looking for reliable and efficient service.
Terrible Service and No Communication: My Experience with [Company Name]
I gotta say, this company is just plain awful. I ordered some books thinking they were in stock, but turns out they weren't. It's been almost a whole month now and I haven't heard a peep from them. And to top it off, I've been paying for the order through afterpay this whole time. What a joke! I've been trying to call them for over a week now, but all I get is some automated message about how they're getting too many calls. Ugh, so frustrating! I don't think I'll ever use this company again. The service is just terrible.
Booktopia Needs to Improve Customer Service and Stock Accuracy
I've been using Booktopia for a while now and never had any issues until recently. I ordered a book for Christmas that was supposed to be in stock, but then got an email saying it wouldn't be dispatched for 15 days. I was pretty annoyed because I needed it for an overseas trip and if it didn't arrive before we left, it would have been a waste of $50.
I tried emailing and live chatting with them to ask if they could expedite the order, but I didn't get any responses. It was really frustrating because I've always had good experiences with their customer service before.
I think they need to improve their customer service and be more honest about their in stock items online. It's not fair to customers to say something is in stock when it's not and then not do anything to help when there's an issue. I hope they can fix these problems soon because I really like using Booktopia otherwise.
Disappointing Experience with Booktopia: False Advertising and Poor Customer Service
So, I decided to give Booktopia a try and ordered some books that were listed as 'In Stock'. According to their website, I should have received my order within 2-3 business days. However, the very next day, I received an email from them saying that one of the titles I ordered will only be available in their Warehouse in 15 days! I was quite disappointed to learn that the company was actually sourcing their stock from overseas suppliers, despite pretending to be an Australian company.
I tried to reach out to their customer service team to get some clarification on the matter, but unfortunately, I received zero follow-up replies to my enquiries. It was quite frustrating to be left in the dark like that.
Overall, I would say that my experience with Booktopia was truly hopeless. I would advise anyone looking to purchase books online to use another company instead.
Booktopia's Poor Customer Service and Failed Ebook Download Experience
I bought an Ebook from Booktopia for $27.95 using my credit card. Unfortunately, the book never downloaded and I was left without my purchase. I reached out to customer service for assistance, but I was given the run-around. The customer service representative made it seem like I didn't know what I was doing and suggested that I download the book on a Mac or IOS device, even though I had clearly stated that I was using Microsoft and Android. Despite exchanging a few messages, I was unable to resolve the issue and ultimately gave up. I hope that karma will take care of the situation. I don't plan on using this site again in the future.
