Mixed Experiences with Draft2Digital
As an expert in the self-publishing industry, I understand the importance of choosing the right platform to bring your literary creations to the world. Looking at the reviews for Draft2Digital, it's clear that authors have had mixed experiences. While some authors praise the platform for its ease of use and distribution capabilities, others have expressed frustration with issues like delayed payments, account closures, and unresponsive customer support. It's essential for aspiring authors to carefully consider these factors before deciding to publish their work through Draft2Digital. Remember, your book is your masterpiece, and it deserves a platform that values and supports your creative journey.
Horrible customer service. KYC tax weaponized.
I've used Draft2Digital since 2020. They "lost" my proof POD book for 3 months, while telling me they are waiting for an email from Ingrams... They have no phone call service, and you wont have a screen to see the status. Because you have no agreement with Ingrams. d2d Support did not nothing to assist. Then, I get the book, but you can't order it. I filed a BBB complaint and finally my book shows up after 6 more months on Powell's and Amazon. Ingram will censor/quarantine your book, as D2D IS a SHILL corp for Ingrams.
Maybe its my book. The Exodus Theory: A Journey into the Spiritual Wilderness
So later, I get the KYC: retaliation. You have 30 days to answer their Tax email, but Lilaham Tax-entity never sent the email, requesting ID docs. They threaten to delete you, anyway. I'm American, using an American bank. Annual Royalties under $10, so no real security threat. I sent them the ID docs. But still, delayed and on hold, keeping royalties for months. Some authors claim to have hundreds of dollars seized. Mine just under $5.
They use the KYC as a weapon. Be prepared to be deleted by D2D, without question or mercy. And even if you send them the docs, they won't respond or update. Because they are hoping you don't respond, and then you are deleted.
Recommendation: Be prepared to file consumer fraud complaints with State attorney General, bc BBB gets nothing done.
Do not trust Draft2Digital.
When I read the reviews here and elsewhere about Draft2Digital, although it might be sad that such things are still happening in 2023, reading these reviews gave me a bit of a smile and made me realize I'm not the only one in this situation. Because you can't understand the anger one can feel when subjected to such mistreatment and lack of consideration. My friends, Draft2Digital only earns 10%, which might not be sufficient, so they shut down people's accounts without valid reason and without respecting their own rules. They do this mostly to non-American authors (I'm from France), but they are thieves. Okay, you don't want to work with an author anymore, you don't steal their money. Draft2Digital was supposed to pay me $360; they earned $60 in commission, so more than $400 in their pocket. Now imagine if they do this to thousands of accounts; that's hundreds of millions unjustly stolen. Trusting these thieves is wasting your time and money.

Draft2Digital: A Convenient and Efficient Platform for Authors
Draft2Digital is a website that can be a real game-changer when it comes to expanding your horizons and gaining new insights. I gotta say, it's a pretty neat concept that seems to have been carefully crafted and well-planned.
One thing that really stands out about Draft2Digital is its user-friendly interface. It's so easy to navigate through the website and find what you're looking for. You don't need to be a tech whiz to figure it out, which is a huge plus for folks like me who aren't exactly tech-savvy.
Another great thing about Draft2Digital is that it provides a platform for authors to publish their work without all the hassle. You don't have to worry about dealing with multiple publishing platforms or getting lost in a sea of paperwork. With Draft2Digital, you can simply upload your manuscript and let them handle the rest. It's like having your own personal assistant, but without the hefty price tag.
I must admit, though, that there are a few areas where Draft2Digital could use some improvement. For instance, the customer support could be a bit more responsive. Sometimes it takes a while to get a response to my inquiries, and that can be a bit frustrating. It would be great if they could speed up their response time and provide more timely assistance.
Additionally, while Draft2Digital offers a wide range of distribution options, it would be nice to see even more platforms included. I understand that they already cover many major retailers, but having even more options would give authors greater flexibility and reach.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I still think Draft2Digital is a solid choice for authors looking to get their work out there. It's a convenient and efficient platform that simplifies the publishing process. Plus, it's free to use, so you don't have to worry about breaking the bank.
All in all, I believe that Draft2Digital is a well-thought-out and relevant idea that can really serve as a foundation for new experiences and knowledge. So, if you're an aspiring author or someone who wants to dip their toes into the world of publishing, give Draft2Digital a shot. You might just be pleasantly surprised by what it has to offer!
Draft2Digital: A Game-Changing Platform for Aspiring Writers - Easy, Hassle-Free, and Totally Free!
Draft2Digital is a wicked cool platform that has brought together a whole bunch of young authors like me. I gotta say, it's pretty awesome and totally deserves some major props and thanks! This site has been a total game-changer for us aspiring writers.
First off, let me just say that Draft2Digital is super easy to use. Like, seriously, even a tech-challenged person like me can navigate it without any major hiccups. It's all laid out in a way that makes sense, and you don't need to be a genius to figure it out. Trust me, I'm living proof!
One of the things I really dig about Draft2Digital is that it takes care of all the nitty-gritty stuff for you. You don't have to stress about formatting your book or dealing with all the different file types. They handle all that jazz for you, so you can focus on what really matters: writing your masterpiece. It's like having your own personal assistant, but without the hefty price tag.
Another rad feature of Draft2Digital is that it distributes your book to a whole bunch of different online retailers. I'm talking big names like Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, and more. It's like they've got connections in all the right places. And the best part? You don't have to deal with all the hassle of uploading your book to each individual platform. Draft2Digital does it all for you, saving you time and energy.
Oh, and did I mention that Draft2Digital also helps you create a killer book cover? Yeah, they've got this awesome Cover Creator tool that lets you design your own cover or choose from a bunch of pre-made templates. It's like having your own personal graphic designer, but without the crazy price tag. Plus, having a snazzy cover is key to catching readers' attention, so it's a total win-win.
But here's the real kicker: Draft2Digital doesn't charge you a dime upfront. That's right, it's totally free to use. They only take a small cut of your royalties when you start making sales. So you don't have to worry about breaking the bank or selling your soul to the publishing gods. It's a fair deal, if you ask me.
All in all, Draft2Digital is the bomb dot com. It's a fantastic resource for us young authors, and I can't recommend it enough. So if you're looking to get your book out there in the big wide world, give Draft2Digital a shot. You won't be disappointed, I promise.
Secure Data and Creative Community: Draft2Digital Review
The best thing about Draft2Digital is that your data stays safe. That's the main thing, you know? And not only that, but you can also easily find people who think like you or share your own unique opinions. It's super creative and convenient, you know what I mean?
Reliable and User-Friendly: My Experience with Draft2Digital
I've been using Draft2Digital for a few years now. They always pay me on time, which is a big plus. Their customer support is top-notch, always there to help me out when I need it. And let me tell you, they distribute my ebooks far and wide, reaching readers all over the place.
Now, I gotta admit, their conversion tools can be a bit wonky at times. But hey, nobody's perfect, right? Despite the occasional quirks, I'm still really satisfied with Draft2Digital. In fact, they're my go-to ebook distributor. I trust them to get my books out there and make sure I get paid for my hard work.
Overall, I'm a happy camper with Draft2Digital. They've been good to me, and I'll keep using them as long as they keep doing what they do best. So if you're looking for a reliable and user-friendly ebook distributor, give Draft2Digital a shot. You won't be disappointed.
Draft2Digital: A Game-Changing Option for Indie Authors, Making E-Book Publishing a Breeze
If you're searchin' for another option to get your e-books out there, I gotta say, Draft2Digital is the way to go. It's a real shame that the indie market is kinda controlled by that big ol' online store in the US, ya know?
The folks at Draft2Digital are real speedy when it comes to answerin' emails, and they're always ready to fix any problems I've had. Publishin' my e-books through 'em has been a piece of cake.
Unfair Discrimination and Poor Customer Support: My Experience with Draft2Digital
I'm a self-published author and I decided to give Draft2Digital a try. I wanted to publish a furry erotica book that I had already published on Amazon without any issues. However, when I submitted it to Draft2Digital, they claimed that the title was bestiality, which is completely untrue. They then went on to say that I was banned for other reasons, which is also not true. It seems like they just make up reasons to get rid of you.
I even mentioned to them that I have Autism, and that's when they decided to ban me. It's really unfair and discriminatory. To make matters worse, after the merger with Smashwords, my account there was also banned because of these liars.
I later found out that people from certain countries, especially African countries like Nigeria, have been banned from using Draft2Digital. This is really concerning and unfair. Many of them have now turned to Smashwords, but they are worried about their accounts there as well.
If you don't believe me, just take a look at the reviews on Trustpilot about D2D or Draft2Digital. You'll see for yourself. Their customer support is not that great and they are not very helpful. In fact, they can be downright rude at times. It's really disappointing.
Unfair Account Termination and Negative Customer Support Experience with D2D
I was totally shocked when I got this letter from the D2D support team. They were like, "Hey, your tax client said you didn't give them the KYC Information on time, so we terminated your account. No reconsideration, buddy." Can you believe that? They didn't even give me a chance to explain or fix the problem. It's like they're saying, "You're done, no new account for you, no pretending to be someone else, and definitely no using unauthorized usernames or passwords." Talk about being strict!
D2D puts a lot of effort into their ebook conversion and distribution program, and I get that. But seriously, terminating my account right away? Couldn't they just ask for some clarification and move on? It was just a technical glitch, for crying out loud! I can't believe they're insinuating that I'm some kind of cheater or troublemaker. That's so negative, especially for a company that deals with the public.
I used to have a positive opinion of D2D, you know? I even wrote a good review for them. But that was before I had a nasty encounter with their customer support team. Let me tell you, Amazon's support team may be useless, but at least they're civil. It's not worth it to work with people who automatically assume you're up to no good or planning something illegal. It's just not cool, man.
On Aug 30 I uploaded my book and by the next morning it was blocked . I contacted the company by email and received an email that said I was suspended. All I wanted was to sell my family book. My son is a combat vet and that upsets him greatly.
Draft2Digital Complaints 1
I left this message to the CEO and the Support after 3 Yrs form being in their platform
Hello everyone,
This is really the most terrible, unprofessional, and nightmare process I have ever faced in my life!
Let me first introduce my self briefly, I'm M Soliman, a professor of engineering at the American University in Cairo. If you google my full author name I own the first 5-6 pages of Google!
I joined D2D 5 years ago and started with publishing eBooks. I had my books published with other publishers in Paperback, Digital and Audio formats before then. I liked D2D at the first glance, that's why I made sure to be one of the first to try D2D Print when it initially started and was in the beta face. I have more than 30 books published through D2D and others.
I never have faced any issue verifying my identity with McGraw-Hill, KDP, Ingram Spark, Google Play, Payoneer, PayPal...etc usually the process is smooth, hassle free and straight forward. In Draft2Digital it seems things are hugely different! There are many and many customers who are giving negative reviews for their experience with D2D because of the KYC awful process (please look at Trustpilot reviews for example). D2D is earning mass of ugly reviews globally because of this frustrated process. Also passing authors informative to a third party company like Lilaham or whatever, doesn't look good; and is a clear break of law!
I'm not sure why I have being asked to submit this verification about my ADDRESS again! It was done when I did this interview in 2021. Nothing changed. Verifying identity is not a frequent thing! It should be done once and for all! Haven't seen this thing ever in my life! Even after I did the interview, I got an email asking to do it again (revise below emails) like if the server is glitching!
When I did this interview last time in 2021, I sent my passport to verify my address and it was done! What happened again? Is your server losing the information and documents? I have an Egyptian TIN that I decided to use to claim the 15% treaty between US and Egypt, what's wrong in this? All other publishers and online distributors I deal with kept motivating me to do this to get a benefit from the treaty percentage. IRS shouldn't deduct 30% from the Egyptian people!
I was trying to just update the tax form in my D2D account with my new EG TIN to claim the treaty benefit (all other information remained the same) and my address never been changed. But not sure why it keeps saying Invalid address! And the guy who called "Lachlan Horsburgh" kept sending me asking for verification documents for my address and identity. Is this guy Trustworthy? Because we are passing sensitive information to him! I do understand he wants to make sure I'm from Egypt and I residence in Egypt. I already sent 5 supportive and sensitive official documents (National ID, Driving License, utility Bill, Passport and Bank Statement). I even had to send them twice! Today the same guy emailed me asking for a selfie photo holding these documents, and I did what he asked but it's extremely funny! Next time I'm going to send him a picture in the zoo to bring some entertainment :)) we need Lachlan to prove he is qualified to do the Tax verification process because things are getting very weird! Not intending to insult anyone, but this guy is claiming to be a compliance officer at Lilaham, while from his profile he is still an undergraduate student of Bachelor degree. Does Lilaham hire young guys who are still studying and doesn't hold any high graduate certification to do the Tax verification process for customers and authors of a big company like D2D?
I'm too worry about what's going on and thinking seriously of moving out from D2D; leaving very negative feedback to my colleagues and other authors about my experience at D2D.
Although the process is unprofessional, outaged and frustrating I did what I could to verify my identity and my address. By sending MORE THAN ENOUGH official documents stating my information, but the process is also too slow and full of hassles.
DATA PROTECTION & DISCLAIMER
Protection of my personal information is very seriously. All corresponding information sent in this email and in previous emails should be treated as confidential and should be handled in accordance with data protection legislation as well as with the terms of the US and International LAW. Any breakage will result in taking aggressive legal procedures.
Regards,
M Soliman
