Poor Security, $1400 stolen from account
I've been playing with Bovada for about 10 years, since it was Bodog. Yesterday I had a pending withdrawal disappear. The money was simply gone from my account. The Financial services folks told me that it was all, $1700, played in poker sometime after I'd requested the withdrawal. I do not play poker.
Either they are lying or they allowed someone to access my account information. Big security breach; it cost me a $1400 payout, which I was counting on. I will never, never, never trust this website again.
Players beware.
Rigged
My experience at Bovada poker is one of unrealistic ups and downs. My First deposit of $25 I ran up in a day to $575..Im thinking wow this site isn't rigged its great. I Request a Pay Withdrawal of $300 via check which my friends didn't believe me so I posted a video on youtube "Bovada is legit and pays out" Immediately after the request I went on an unbelievable run of bad luck. I played no different from when I was winning. But the thing that mad me question was the amount of times I had KK and someone else had AA it was just plain unrealistic. Bovada would give me a very good starting hand AA, KK, QQ then the flop would come and nothing connecting at all I raise and the person calls with nothing at all and hits Runner Runner straight or flush. I have played poker for 10 years legally and a few years before that in home games and such. I stopped playing cash games because I would lose to much with good hands like AA Vs KK and the flop would lay a K. So I switch to tourneys. I played tourneys and ALWAYS seem to double/triple up in the first 3 hours. After the 2nd break I usually sit around 25, 000/40, 000 chips and around 10-30 place out of however many people are left. I play only quality hand and will always either get sucked out with an allin where I have AK and someone goes allin with AQ and hits. or whats been happening lately and by lately I mean my LAST 6 TOURNAMENTS. I have flopped either TOP 2 PAIR AND LOSE TO A SET! OR I FOP A SET AND LOSE TO A BIGGER SET. now I repeat that, My last 6 tournaments I played for over 2 hours was less than 50 people out of money and hit a very very solid hand. and THE CURIOUS THING IS EVERYTIME I LOSE ITS TO SOMEONE WHO HAS A BIGGER STACK THEN ME! WHICH KNOCKS ME OUT! TODAY Is June 15 2016 and I deposited 22$ and got in 2 $10 tourneys multitable one was a 3K gaurnteed and one was a 2K gaurnteed and on the 2K I limped in with 10 7 suited in the BB. the flop came 10 J 7... I bet half the pot ...got 1 called...turn 2...I checked the person bet 3/4 the pot I called. the turn was a 4, so the cards out were 10, J, 7, 4, 2..i had 10 7...after the river I checked again and got pushed allin...which I CALLED and LOST TO A SET OF JACKS. moving on to the next ttourney there were 68 people left and I was in FIRST PLACE WITH 68, 000 CHIPS . SECOND PLACE WAS AT MY TABLE WITH 50, 000 CHIPS...I GOT DEALT AJ suited and preceeded to raise 2.5BB on the button I got raise by the pplayer in 2nd place. which I immediately called with my AJ. the flop came A J 6 the turn 5 and the river Q. so the board red A, J, 6, 5, Q and I had AJ...long story short we both went allin AND ONCE AGAIN I LOST TO A SET OF SIXES...IM JUST DONE AND I STRONGLY SUGGEST ANYONE WHO READS THIS NOT TO PLAY AT BOVADA...AND IF YOU DO PLAY ONCE YOU WIN ...PLEASEEEEE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DONT DEPOSIT AGAIN BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE WITH AA TO 4 7 AND your KK will get beat by AA everytime...
Payout of $11,280 Declined
Bovada is a criminal enterprise. They have declined paying me $11k that I won claiming misuse of the bonus. Upon explanation of what they thought of as misuse, I found out that they had set up their system to encourage this and use it as a loophole not to pay people large payouts. Doing very little search I found other people had had this same problem with them. That means they know about it and do nothing to stop it - they use it to their advantage.
I was with Bodog and Bovada for over ten years. Ten. Years. They are changing folks - you see it with the software fiasco and the delayed payments. They are a joke and a criminal organization. They stole this money and the money I bet to get it - stole it.
Luckily, I am going to have my attorney do everything and anything - money is no object - to file a report with the gaming commission and present our case. We may very well lose as I am not sure of their integrity, do not know much about the gaming commission, but I do know that it will not be free to defend themselves and that makes me very, very happy.
They treated me so disgustingly bad after ten years of being a loyal client and a near daily player, there is literally no limit to the amount of time, money and effort I will put forward to righting that wrong.
These guys know that states are starting to legalize gaming and that the real poker rooms are taking over in the US. They are tightening their belt and all of you will suffer for it. Believe me or don't, I would not feel right not letting people know.
Good luck. Play Bovada at your own risk. You will think it is all me until it happens to you. Ten years people. Ten years. Never cheated, stole or scammed a single person in my life -- Bovada can not say the same.
Payouts
I requested my withdrawal on 04/10/16 approved on 04/12/16 via their Visa Fast e Funds. On their website it specifically stated that the withdrawals timeframe is approximately 5 - 10 business days. I started inquiring them since day 6 thru their online customer contact page 1-2 times daily. These are their replies" This is just an estimate timeframe., "They may take longer than that., " "If it's more than 10 business days let us know we'll sort things out., " They should not even state that their timeframe for withdrawals are 5-10 business days, if they execute their promises. To players it's a deception on their part!
Delayed payment
On March 13th, 2016 I requested a withdrawal of my account in the amount of $2, 500. The withdrawal was accepted and I was informed I would receive my money in 5-10 business days. Since I played so much on the blackjack tables in the previous weeks to win the $2, 500 I was granted a weekend bonus from Bovada of roughly $100. So, I use that money and place a 4-team parlay and hit for about $600. I work that amount up to $1000 and requested a second payment on March 19th, 2016. Once again I was approved(but I had to pay a $50 fee because it was my second withdrawal in the same month so the amount I was set to receive was only $950) and informed the funds would be in my account in 5-10 business days. Only 4 business days later I get the $950 in my bank account. I am happy yet worried at the same time because my $2, 500 request was now at 9 business days and I had not received it yet. However, I keep my hopes up and go about everything. The weekend of Easter, I get married and I go on a honeymoon out of the country so I do not have any internet connection with my cell phone so I go without checking my bank account until the 4th of April. I get back in my home country and instantly check my bank account just knowing the money would be there because this makes a total of 14 business days, due to two business days lost to the Easter holiday. Unfortunately, my money was still not in my account so then I really start worrying. I instantly call Bovada and I am informed that during the first couple weeks of March they experienced technical difficulties which delayed my funds and I was continuously told to just periodically check my bank account. To make a long story a little shorter, today April 14th, 2016 (a total of 22 business days) I still do not have my money. I understand that issues occur and things are delayed and the situation would not be so intrigued if I had not already received a smaller amount of funds that was requested later than the $2, 500. If there were so called technical issues, how did I receive funds that were requested later? The issues must have been fixed for me to get the $950 right? So why is it not fixed for me to receive $2, 500? I have called numerous amounts of times and continue getting the same information. They have even began informing me that they see on my account that I have called previously so they are probably keeping notes on what their customer service is telling me so that they don't get things mixed up and can continue to prolong the situation. I am very frustrated at this point and have no idea who to talk to about this with. I hope someone can assist me or at least push me in a direction that I can go because I am currently stuck and getting nowhere with Bovada.
Thank you.
I just wanted to let everyone on this thread know that I have received my $2, 400. So hopefully you guys will be next! I wish all of you good luck with your withdrawal issues.
I decided to cancel my payout and have them put the money back into my bovada account and I requested another payout because they claim the issue is resolved. The Visa Fast Funds method has been reduced from $3, 000 to $2, 400 max so I could only request $2, 400 instead of my original $2, 500. However, they have already approved it again and claim they are expediting the payout. So hopefully I get it before this Friday because I'm going to Vegas and that $2, 400 would make for a fun trip. But I must add that the $100 they left in my account was a mistake because I have already built it up to $1, 000 so they probably wish they would have just given me my $2, 500!
Bovada is a scam. I deposited 200 on a Thursday night cause I was bored. I was playing poker and blackjack. I went on a run in blackjack and was up 3400. So I asked for a withdrawl of 3200 the following Tuesday. I get the email that it was processed and the check would come in 14 days. The next day I am locked out of my account. I call them up and they have no record of me. Then they say I changed my email and my login info. (I never changed it). Better yet...They say I cancelled my withdrawal and lost it playing crazy 8s or something like that. I don't even know what that is. They wont pass me up to a supervisor. They said their fraud team is looking into it. Bovada is a scam. You will not get paid. The only thing they know how to do is take your money. Do not play there. I am still waiting to see if they call. They wont.
I made a wager, on the Eagles, back in January. 1200 payout...still havent recieved. Insane. Bovada keeps informing me different depts are looking into the matter. Who exactly can we go to? Who regulates this?
I have withdrawn money from Bovada twice and never had a problem getting the check in the mail. I took a week longer than expected but no other issues .
I also cashed out for 3000 3/1/16 and have called numerous times and still being told the same as eveyone else...almost 2 months now SO FRUSTRATING
The same happened to me. I won $700 on a 25$ parlay on April 13th and requested a withdrawal. It usually takes 2 days and come to find out on Sunday of that week it was still pending. Come Monday morning now my account is blocked because of "unusual activity and they requested a billing statement with my address. They said it takes 24-48 hours to review the document and now 4 days later still blocked. I've cashed out more than 20k last year without a single issue. There is something going on with players winning a lot.
I have requested on march 9th a $950, March 19th of 1000, and march 20 of $2000 all were approved and I am getting the same runaround from BOVADA. Your lucky you received anything.
I asked for a withdraw on March 10th for $400 and still have not received it. They keep telling me there is a technical problem that is affecting most of the players out there... However I did another withdraw for $250 a week later and received that within 5 days. Something fishy!
Casino
I have recently been locked out of my bovada account . When I asked them why in an email they told me I need to call I don't like talking to people why can't they just tell me in an email . Well anyway I think this is a blessing in disguise I have collected a couple times but I don't understand why it takes so long . I mean it only takes seconds for the money to be taken from my checking account so the technology is definitely there . Normally I play blackjack . I usually play about five dollars a hand Being on my home wi-Fi The computer dealer goes pretty quick . But I noticed every time I upped my bet to 25 or $50 a hand the dealer slows down almost like it's thinking whether or not I should win it just seems shady save your money people is definitely something fishy about Boulevar is definitely something fishy about Bovada !
This is so awful. Why isn't the gvt helping customers? The gvt should completely block these people from the internet if they aren't legitimate. The bad part is there is a ton of support online to suggest they are credible and authorized under our gaming laws. If a person researches to see if something is lawful and acceptable, and then they are duped, what is the point of gvt protection?
I have a warning for anyone using "Bitcoin" on Bovada...
I won $9500 and requested a Bitcoin payout. I am new to Bitcoin and so only used "Coinbase" to do my transactions on Bovada to purchase chips to play in the casino. I obtained a "wallet address" from Coinbase thinking that they would send the funds into this wallet, and I gave that address to Bovada.
Bovada sent the funds (without officially notifying me) to that wallet address and sent a link to prove it later. Problem is, that wallet address in on "Blockchain" not "Coinbase", and doesn't apparently belong to me since I wasn't a member of "Blockchain". Now, how I obtained a wallet address from Coinbase that eventually ends up on Blockchain I don't understand...but now, I cannot access the funds as it apparently isn't my "wallet".
So I have $9500 (actually WAY more as Bitcoin has been rising) sitting in a wallet on Blockchain that I can't access. I've naturally asked for assistance from Coinbase, Bovada and Blockchain and they all stonewall me by admonishing "not to use wallet addresses that are not verified".
So Bovada 1) doesn't warn you that Coinbase doesn't like gambling winnings and that Bovada won't transfer winnings into a Coinbase wallet 2) Somehow you can obtain a "personal wallet" address from Coinbase and it can actually go into Blockchain instead! 3) end result is you don't get paid, in my case THOUSANDS of winnings
If anyone has some advice on how to get my money I'd sure appreciate it...this all sounds LIKE A SCAM ON BOVADA'S PART.
Fraud
In Feb 2016 I decided to try Bovada Online Casino. I made several online deposits 25.00 at a time. They went right through. I made a total of 10. I won 235.00 on a Slot and asked for a cash out of 200.00 on Feb 17. I was told it was no problem but would take 7-10 business days to deposit into my account. Today is March 4th. I have been told 5 times that sometimes it takes longer than 10 working days. Today I was told that the money was deposited and I needed to send a copy of my Bank Statements to them from Feb 17 to prove I didn't receive the money. They could not provide me with a date in spite of the fact that I have an assigned transaction number. Obviously, I am not sending them my bank information. I am closing my account and as I have no recourse will post this as a warning. Lesson learned. Don't work with them. It is a fraud
Blocked account
Bovada recently informed me that I needed to upgrade my software to Windows 10 in order to play on their site. I do not feel like to putting out $110.00 for a new OS. Not only that, my old machine running XP would not support Windows 10, so I would have to but a new machine. I do not feel like buying a new machine right now. I deposited $25.00 to start. I have $36.00 and change in my account but I was told they are going to keep MY money because they cannot close my account if it is less than $50.00! Classic catch 22! I cannot login to play or close my account so they intend to just keep it. That was what customer service told me over the phone. Where I come from that is called "stealing".
Sportsbook
I recently placed a sports wager which listed a 12/1 (+1200) bet on a certain soccer player scoring at any time during the specified game. The player scored a goal during the game, and I received a message from Bovada informing me that they would only pay out 1/3 of the winnings (the language used in the message was that they were 'honoring 1/3 of the winnings), due to a mistake on the posted odds. This was not brought to light until well after the game, and after the wager was won. How can an online gambling company be in business when they change the odds after wagers are won? How can a player trust this type of activity? I would advise steering clear of this company?
Sports betting
I recently won a bet on a NFL game. I requested a pay-out only to be told that it would take up to a week to be "approved". After several threats it was finally approved. They then told me it would take up to a week to make the payment. That never happened. When i called they make up another excuse. Here is the bottom line: I intend to contact the FBI as I believe the company is engaging in wire fraud. I also intend to pursue a class action against the company.
I couldn't believe how fast Bovada has gotten at delivering checks for payouts. I requested Sunday night, was approved Monday morning, had the check shipped Monday and received it TUESDAY MORNING (from Canada to South USA). THAT'S A LITTLE OVER 24 HOURS FROM SHIPPING. Bovada, thanks for using FedEx now. You rule!
Scam
Promotions are basically fake play money they will never let you profit off promotions, not even parlay or deposit bonuses. I joined a 9 table poker tournament and it was full of bots. it lasted over 5 hours and the prize pool was only $10. The sports book payout odds are extremely unfair. really -120 to -130 for each side. and only some games are available for betting. You need a 7 game parlay for the bonus, but they only have 6 bets available. stay away
Being cheated
I've play a variety of poker site. As of recent Bovada and Carbon. My conclusion is that every honest poker player should BOYCOTT all online poker sites. None of them have integrity and all of them are cheating players out of money. Whether it be via player(s) or system "BOTS", Collusion, or Intentional internal system corruption. I don't have the energy to explain every hand and pattern of play I've experienced but bottom line is it's corrupt. Please spread the word and do not do not do not, give any of these sites your money. Let the fraud that I've experienced be your benefit. I've lost the money, don't you do the same. As attractive as the sites are due to easy access and game costs, please resist at all costs. Play live in your cities and towns you live in if you wanna play. At one time the sites may have held up to poker integrity and scrutiny but as of todays markets they are all corrupt! Don't be a fool like me, put your money elsewhere. Boycott all online poker. Just for the record I love and enjoy the game and what's right is right and what's fair is fair and ALL ONLINE POKER SITES have neither of those values or standards. SPREAD THE WORD PLEASE. I wanna shut them down to either take em outta business or force them to change their behavior. Only way to do that is to hurt them where it counts their company bankroll. Let's hit them where it hurts the most! Thanks for reading. John
Yes I'm Sick of these [censored] scam sites stealing our money and worse Ruining Poker. If I could get my hands on one of those insects I'd squash them. disgusting terrible Ppl.
Fail to pay wages for winning bets
This company has failed to uphold my winnings in the matter that I clearly won under rules and regulations I've been emailed 2 different findings as to why my wagers were considered a loss clearly this company is into scamming and ripping people off i would like for you to review the findings and proceed in the manner appropriate for the findings
Email contact :service@bovada.lv telephone #1888)263-0000 this company is trying to tell me that the findings are withheld as valid giving me two different findings as to why the bets placed are losses which are false claims on behalf of this company I would like my findings reviewed and I would like to be paid out according to my wagers placed
Fraud
I have been playing online (poker and casino) for well over a decade. I have had my ups and downs but always received what I thought I was paying for which was an opportunity to make money. In the days when pokerstars, full tilt, and back in the day party poker existed as USA options, I made many deposits and withdrawals without issue. I never feared my...

Bovada has set itself up w huge laundering abilities. They have superusers who quietly suckout huge hands fr their opponents. Bovada did away w player avatars to make it easier for them to cheat and scam, and harder for them to be detected and caught. Anyone will tell you once you cashout Bovada brings more “bad beats” down on you. Those bad beats are...

If you have any skill at playing Texas Hold’em don’t waste your time. Every golden hand dealt to you will be beat by some donk. Example I had 4 10′s got beat by 4 j’s. I had occasionally put a small deposit on the what is now Boavada poker site which used to be Bodog. It changed just recently. I began to start having my doubts as to weather or not the site was somehow corrupt or fixed considering the abnormal things that would occur during play. When i say abnormal i guess you just need to be a player and experience what...
