I was in Galashiels Ladbrokes around 24 February 2024 and put on 3 horses for the Grand National. At the time Fraser behind the counter said I could have money returned if any non runners.
As a lady of 68 years of age and only puts a small bet on the GN I accepted what was said.
However, one of the horses Mongeb Genius was withdrawn on the Tuesday before the GN. I went into the Galashiels branch to receive my refund of £5 only to be told by the cashier on duty, I couldn't have it as my bet was put on in late February 2024. I told him that I was informed different in February time. He was very dismissive and said there are no refunds.

Shop canceled my ticket and refuse to pay my ticket
Hello my name is Sorin and on 21.10.2023 I talked my ticket out from the machine and they cancelled my ticket with no reason and is 3 weeks and they refuse to pay my ticket back. Ask about my bank statement and I'd I send on that day my id and bank statement I spoke with them on phone many times sometimes you need waiting 10 minutes minimum and after that they end your phone call and 1 weeks ago they said pay my ticket and refuse to pay my ticket for 700£.

Hi, I have been using ladbrokes now for a few weeks I have put over a £1000 in an not one win.. well a few small wins here and there. I put £500/£600 in one night last night and won nothing. This site is just take, take, take.. the statistics dont add up to what they should be in anyway. Seems to me like it's a full on scam.. taking peoples hard earned money an giving nothing back.. it's a joke!

In-shop online betting machine withholding my cash, not issuing a betting slip
On May 9th, 2023 I entered your betting shop located on Home street, Edinburgh at approximately 19:40hrs, after placing a wager at the office desk I then decided to put a bet on the football utilizing your bet-machine online, £40.00 win at odds of 7/2 for Real Madrid to win the Champions League outright, the kickoff for this match was at 20:00hrs. The following is a log of events that occurred thereafter.
19:50 hrs (approx) :
I selected Real Madrid at odds of 7/2 and made attempt No-1 to place the bet on, placing two £20.00 notes into the payment slot on the machine, it took the money then almost immediately ejected the money back out of the machine.
19:52 - 1956 hrs (approx):
I made two further attempts to place the bet on, each time the money was ejected.
19:55 hrs (approx):
I made a fourth attempt to place the bet, only this time the machine retained the £40.00, at the same time it did not produce a betting slip for the bet put on Real Madrid. So I am now minus £40.00 plus a betting slip for the bet placed.
19:57 hrs (approx):
I approached the office desk and spoke to the office manager on duty and explained to him what had happened at his betting-machine. He said he would take a look at the machine and try to assist me with the problem. The manager opened the machine up and informed me there was no evidence of the bet nor the money being ever placed, and therefor he couldn't do anything about it other than call Customer Services, this was according to him exactly who he telephoned next.
After making his call he informed me they would be investigating the matter. I then replied is that it, he said yes. He never at any time asked me for any of my details. I asked him how long would it take to resolve, his answer to me was "I don't know, he had no idea".
I then asked him was the bet on or was it cancelled, his reply was "I don't know", I explained to him I need to know now, before the kick-off of the actual match, as someone may score a goal and I don't know where I stand, he replied "I'm sorry I can't tell you anything else, we will just have to wait and see what they come back with". Absolutely amazed at what I was just witnessing, I then asked him for a regional manager's number, he gave me a Customer Service number [protected] which I telephoned.
20:07 hrs:
Speaking to a gentleman I believe called Jason from Customer Services. This gentleman took all the details of what happened and told me it could take up to 48 hrs to resolve, I explained to him my displeasure asking him if he would please make a record of me saying to him I do not want the bet placed now, given I don't know where I stand with Ladbroke telling me they themself weren't sure if the wager was on or off. I also asked him to please have someone call my mobile [protected] when it is resolved.
I am utterly in shock that this could have taken place in the year 2023, in a computer world where online banking never mind online betting is everyday norm. How and why this manager didn't or couldn't tell my £40.00 was in that machine is unthinkable in this day and age, and the answers given to me in the shop and with Customer Services was totally unprofessional to say the least.
For the manager to tell me in the shop he didn't know when or how soon it would be resolved made me feel is he actually thinking I am making all this up, and when I asked him if his CCTV in the shop was working he replied yes, but it only covers the front door, given the proximity of the betting-machine I would be surprised if it didn't also catch or take in the batting-machine as well as the front door, something at a later date that may prove very valuable as it would clearly show all my actions at the machine some four/five metres away from the camera point.
Finally, this was totally handled in an unprofessional manner, to the extent for me it came to a point I felt as if I wasn't being believed. The answers given to my questions were beyond belief, coming from such a large organization.
Finally, I was clearly told by your customer Services representative on the telephone that it would take up to 48 hrs to resolve the matter. I would like now to give you formal notice to you that as of end of business May 11th, 2023, if I have not heard back from you with a satisfactory reply, I will be going ahead proceeding with legal representation, and you will be dealing with my Lawyer from that moment forward on the matter.

I went to a local ladbrokes shop to place a bet on the grand National (15/04/2023) there was a queue and was advised that I could use one of the machines to place a bet which I did. Unfortunately my horse finished 5th which I thought was covered as they paid 5 places in the shop but oh no, the portal only paid on the first 4 places for some unknown reason?

Hello, I placed a bet today (31/01/2023) on a football match based on the live score showed by Ladbrokes (which was 4-0). My bet was (under 5.5 total goals in the match) and I placed the bet when it was 85th minute in the match.
When my bet was placed, the score was immediately updated to 4-1. If it’s was the actual score, I would have never placed the bet as the bet was too risky. Consequently the next goal was scored making the score to 5-1 and I lost the bet.
As I said, I would have never placed this bet if the correct score (which was 4-1) was shown by Ladbrokes on their online platform. Instead the score shown was 4-0.
I contacted their customer support but they said that they can’t do anything about this and it’s the user’s liability not theirs.
I demand to be refund for my bet amount immediately, which is Euros 500.

I would like to make a complaint. I am a deaf man and today I went into the Ladbrokes at Edgeware in London. The blonde woman working there was very suspicious of me, which I could tell by her facial expression. She asked to see my ID, which I showed her, but she continued to be rude and suspicious for no reason at all.
She had some papers and was comparing my face to whatever was on the paper. This was upsetting for me so I left, but I felt it was important to report this inacceptable behaviour.
