I bought two 1.5 quarts of Breyers Vanilla ice cream, for Thanksgiving. They were purchased at 12:41 pm, Novemeber 15, 2023 from the Jewel at 4250 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago IL 60618. There is still one in my freezer, Home Made Vanilla, so I don't know how it is yet, but I just used the French Vanilla one to make a dessert for tomorrow. Normally, I love all the Breyers Vanilla ice creams, and have a hard time deciding between them. The French Vanilla had a strange chemical taste to it. I'll report on the other one when I get to to it. I'm a little overwhelmed with holiday cooking. I didn't realize that there was anything wrong with the flavor, until I was done making the dessert. I had about a cup of ice cream left, and thought I'd eat it, instead of making room in my freezer. That's when I noticed the unpleasant flavor additive. I don't know if the company reformulated the ice cream, to make it healthier. My dessert came out ok, so there was no harm done, but I can't just eat a bowl of it. It isn't good. I hope it's a quality control issue, and this isn't the new flavoring for French Vanilla.
Breyers Ice cream is not fit to eat, poor quality control and poor customer service, I broke a tooth off on a sharp pecan shell one year ago and I have paid for my repair, they have not answered my complaint, or given me any compensation for the 800.00 spent, the representative lied and closed the case, and told agent she had my permission. I never would close it, they need to take responsibility. I sent the box, the shell and receipt as they asked, no help from Angela Williams is a joke, she is a problem and will not direct to someone who will help.The company and employees are disrespectful and ignorant! I was in pain until I could come up with the money to have it repaired, I am in my 70's and struggling with keeping bills paid, I cannot believe they would treat me like this.
