Brilliance is the BEST!
After searching numerous local jewelers and getting totally frustrated, I decided to search the internet for a diamond ring since a few of my buddies said they have had a great experience with Brilliance. I did a google search and Brilliance.com was one of the first companies that came up in my search. After reviewing their website for awhile and their Education section (which is the best tool ever) I decided to get on the Live Chat and ask the reps a few questions. Not long after, I decided to give them a call and the Sales Department was more than glad to help me. I explained that I saw a few rings that I really liked locally and they requested that I send them a few pictures and let them know what I liked from each ring. Once I did that, they came back with a quote for my Custom made Ring. The price seemed like it was too good to be true so I read a bunch of reviews and decided to make my deposit to get started.
Everyone was so professional and was enthusiastic to help. I worked closely with one of the sales reps to make the exact changes I wanted to the ring and the 2nd draft of the ring was perfect. I then had to pick out a center stone. (I thought to myself, this is great) I am sitting at home designing my ring and don't have to be bothered by any pushy sales people. If I didn't want to speak with Brilliance, I didn't answer the phone or reply to emails. I was able to do it at my convenience, which I loved. I finally recieved the ring and it was everything I was expecting and more. We then returned to have our wedding bands made.
Now 2 years later, my wife wanted a new ring and the first thing I did was call Brilliance. We just finished designing her new ring and I can't wait to see it.
Skeptical at first, but SO worth it
I began my ring search about 4 months ago, lightly educating myself on the terminology and inner workings of buying a diamond, especially online. I found a diamond on brilliance (which I hadn't heard of previously), and messaged one of their employees on the chat function (great function by the way). I gave them my email and was immediately paired with an employee (Anthony) who helped me through the entire process (key word= helped, NOT pushed). He started out by first recommending a different diamond (same price, but much better quality). Eventually he came up with 4-5 choices for me to choose from. He ended up recommending one (not the most expensive one), and we began working on designing a custom ring. He did all the communication with the designers and did an amazing job at explaining what changes I wanted. I believe I made 3-4 edits, but they told me I could do as many as I needed before I committed. Anthony stayed way under my budget, and I got way more ring than I could've hoped! I was able to get the inside of the ring engraved in whatever font I wanted. The ring was sent to the nearest fed-ex location in less than 24-hours after I confirmed a delivery location! I was amazed. Don't worry about having it sent to your house if you can sign for it though, because the box (long and rectangular, not ring box-looking) was super discreet and had a generic name as the sender. I was even uncertain that the box I was picking up from fed-ex was a ring! The process was super smooth and they were very patient with me and the changes I wanted to make. The packaging was very professional, with the appraisal, GIA certificate included as well as a ring box and polishing cloth! Could not have asked for more.
Brilliance is the BEST way ever to buy diamonds!
I have loved Aascher cut diamonds since I first saw one. I hoped to someday own a perfect, two carat Aascher pendant. This cut is hard to find, and when I did it was overpriced, and not really what I wanted. I knew I was going to be spending a significant amount, and I didn't want to just settle for just whatever was available. Then I found Brilliance. I searched Aascher cut diamonds, and found hundreds! So I narrowed my search to E or F color, VS1 or better, and just under two carats (to eliminate the over-a-carat jump in price). Within my budget range, I found a stone that was much better than I anticipated being able to afford: F Color, VVS1, Ideal Cut, and around 1.9 Carats, as I recall.
I visited that diamond online at least 30 times before I finally decided to take the plunge. I knew it had high fluorescent, which was find with me, but I spoke with a representative to ensure that it would not have the milky look that some fluorescent diamonds have. He personally checked the diamond in various light, and assured me that it would not look milky.
I finally ordered it, and when it arrived I was amazed at its breathtaking beauty. It came with a certificate, listing all of its attributes, including the microscopic inclusion that kept it from being rated Flawless. Just to be confident
Just to reassure myself, I took the diamond to an independent appraiser. Even with the diagram showing where the inclusion was, it took her a long, long time to locate it under GIA magnification. She gave me an appraisal that was a full 25% above the Brilliance price!
I had my diamond mounted as a pendant by our jeweler friend, and I wear it constantly. It is truly magnificent, and I don't plan to ever by a diamond from anyone but Brilliance.

Great custom rings, value, service, and experience!
First and foremost, I would like to thank and commend Anthony, who I initially started working with to build a custom engagement ring for my fianc? a few months back, for being extremely patient and taking what has seemed like so much time out of days on end to answer all of my questions! Like most people I would assume, I was very skeptical at first to make such a large purchase on an engagement ring online. I visited numerous websites and went to several jewelers before pulling the trigger and going with Brilliance. Anthony gave me many different options when it first came to picking out a diamond and staying within my budget. I was very particular with every single detail and step in the process to designing the ring. For not actually working with someone face to face, Anthony made it seem very personable by always communicating and keeping in touch with me through the entire process. My entire experience, from designing the ring that I first found on another site and having Brilliance design it with a few small changes, to working with Anthony, and also receiving the ring was just amazing. I could not say enough about Brilliance or the staff that they have when it comes to being patient and not pressuring you to make a decision right away. To top it all off, the value of the stones you were to buy from Brilliance is astonishing! At your request, you are able to have them send you the stone or stones you pick out off of their site to your location to personally inspect and have it appraised. In my case, I had this done and brought it to an independent jeweler to have the stone appraised and I was very pleasantly surprised to know that the 4 C's (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight) of the diamond I had purchased from Brilliance was appraised much higher than I bought it for! I Whether you are well educated in knowing about gem stones or not, Brilliance and their staff are very well informed in assisting you through the entire process. I had such a great experience working with Anthony the first time around that I am currently working with him again on designing a wedding ring as well. Thank you Anthony and thank you Brilliance!
Brilliance.com Review: My Luxurious Lab-Grown Diamond Ring for Less Than $4k!
I was on the hunt for a new ring after being married for 11 years. I decided to shop around and was intrigued by lab-grown diamonds due to the negative feedback I was receiving about mined diamonds. I was referred to a local jeweler by a friend, but they didn't sell lab-grown diamonds. The jeweler claimed that they weren't real diamonds and caused more waste than mined diamonds. I wasn't sure if that was true or not, but I didn't hear about warlords using locals as slaves to grow diamonds. I also didn't agree that lab-grown diamonds weren't real diamonds. Are you going to say ice isn't real ice unless it's from the North Pole? I still allowed her to quote me the cost of a real diamond for what I wanted. For a 1 K pear F I1, it would cost me $3500. And a radiant .86 K G I 1 would also be $3500. Another $1500 for an 18 K band, and the grand total would be $8000.
I decided to check out brilliance.com and found a pear 2K color F VVS2 and a cushion 2.10 K color E Vs1 with an 18 K gold band, all for a grand total of $3900. I placed my order on March 9, 2023, and received it on May 3rd, 2023.
Dimitry helped me with my order, and when he was too busy, he made sure another person contacted me, mostly through text, which I prefer since the time difference between me and them is 6 hours.
Honestly, my ring looks so luxurious that I'm ashamed of how brilliant it looks in the sun. I've never worn anything so beautiful in my life. My parents, who are old school skeptics, think that it's so gigantic and brilliant that there's no way I paid less than 10 grand on my ring. They think it must be a scam somehow, lol.
I highly recommend this website and getting a lab-grown diamond. The wait time and annoyance of having to search for your own diamond on their site is worth the huge amount of money you will save and the supreme quality diamond you will receive. I painstakingly took my time learning all about grading the diamond, sizing, and cut because this would be the last ring I'll ever wear for the rest of my life, and it was worth it. So, I was out with my girl looking for a ring, and she found one she liked, but I knew I could make it better. I checked out a bunch of custom jewelers, but Brilliance had the most options and a clear process. I was a little unsure because they're only online, but I called them up and talked to Jonathon Ohayon. He was super knowledgeable, experienced, and honest. I felt good enough to put down $200 to start the design process.
Here's how it works: you put down a deposit, and then you work with their designers to create the perfect ring. You can send in drawings, pictures, or descriptions, and they'll send you computerized images to give feedback on. You can go back and forth as much as you want until you're happy with the design, and then they'll make it, which takes about a week. They'll even send you the diamond to check out before they put it in the ring, but I didn't do that. When it's ready, they'll send it to you overnight with a fancy black box, certification, and appraisal.

Mixed Experience with Brilliance: Great Custom Ring, Terrible Customer Service
I reached out to Brilliance to get a custom ring made and I gotta say, Jennifer was super helpful and quick to respond. She gave me a quote that was way cheaper than anywhere else I looked. I sent in my design and they rushed the whole process to make the ring. I was in a hurry to propose, so I paid extra for overnight shipping. Unfortunately, there was a problem with Fedex and the ring didn't arrive on time. They claimed they tried to deliver it and left a note, but I had a bunch of people waiting for it and no one saw the driver or a note. I have a long driveway, so maybe they didn't come all the way up? Who knows.
The thing that really bugs me is that Brilliance paid for the overnight shipping, not me. So I asked if I could get a refund for that fee since it didn't work out. But when I talked to a customer service guy named John, he was so rude and made it really hard to explain what happened. He kept interrupting me and saying I was wrong based on the reports he had. Like, yeah, I know what the report says, but that's not what happened. I had to go pick up the ring myself the next day, even though it was too late by then. John also yelled at me when I said Jennifer had quoted me a different time frame if I didn't pay for overnight shipping. He said I was "100% incorrect" and that they would never send an order that quickly if it was under $2000.

I checked out all the famous online stores like Adimore, Blue Niles, James Allen, and even went to a local jeweler. Although the online stores had cheaper prices than the local stores, I was still searching for the best quality diamond at an even better and cheaper price than other online stores. That's when I found Brilliance through a YouTube video.
When I visited their site, I was amazed by the huge variety of diamonds they had to offer. I loved their compare feature, which helped me select my center piece with more confidence. I was so excited to have found what I wanted at such a low price. It was a weekend, but I still called and Jonathan, the CEO of Brilliance, called me right away. Based on my experience, I do want to advise you all to please keep 4-6 weeks' time for delivery. You may receive it within 2 weeks or under that, but it is better to keep that extra time in case there are any beyond anyone's control, unavoidable delays at the airport.

Avoid Brilliance.com: Terrible Experience with Theft, Fraud, and Breach of Contract
I want to share my experience with Brilliance.com, a company that I strongly advise you to avoid. They have multiple names, such as Brilliance Corp, Brilliance LLC, Brilliance LLD, and Brilliance LDD, among others. They are located in Boynton Beach, Florida, and have another location in Ohio. My experience with them was terrible, as they committed theft, fraud, and breach of contract with my custom-built diamond ring.
After waiting for a long time, I finally received the ring, but I immediately noticed that the center diamond was chipped, and there were deep tool marks and scratches in the gold. I contacted Jonathon Ohayon, who made excuses as to why the ring was not sent earlier. I informed him of the issues with the ring and took it to two accredited appraisers and jewelers to have it examined and assessed. Both of them confirmed that the diamond was chipped, and the ring had tool marks and scratches.
Moreover, the 10 side diamonds totaled only 0.85 carats, not the 1.0 carat that I had purchased. They were not the E color and VS1 clarity that I had selected and purchased, but only G/H in color and SI1 in clarity, which are significantly lower in value and appearance.
I sent pictures of the chipped center diamond to Jonathon at Brilliance, and he asked me to send the ring back for warranty replacement. However, he accused the certified appraiser of removing the center diamond and damaging the diamond and the ring. The diamond was never removed from the setting to assess the damaged stone, and the pictures clearly show the chip with the diamond in the setting.
Brilliance refuses to build me a new ring, even though they have our money and our ring. This is theft, and I am not the first victim of their tactics. Negative comments or reviews about Brilliance mysteriously disappear, and their company name keeps changing. On Facebook, they have changed their name and removed my post and blocked any comments about their company.
It is disappointing that a company that claims to have "built a reputation as an honest, ethical reseller and expert in the diamond and jewelry business, striving to always put the customer's needs first" has no qualms about deleting posts from dissatisfied customers. Everyone makes mistakes, but when they deny making them, hide them, or try to pass off blame to their customers, they are not living up to their mission statement.
If they truly value their customers and strive to put their needs first, they would address the problem professionally and ethically. This is how they would avoid bad press. I strongly advise you not to buy from Brilliance.
Review: Solid Platinum Ring with Black Diamonds - Brilliance.com
Ring: Solid 950 Platinum with Black diamonds in Channel setting
Pros: Brilliance.com has great ease of contact and response. The payment options are excellent and the staff is friendly and willing to help. The shipping is fast and the guarantees are backed up.
Cons:
1: The ring is manufactured by "Benchmark"! This was not disclosed, and I did not find this out until I received the named ring. The website has descriptions in the wedding section that all rings are made in house. I also asked the sales rep. As I had seen the similar ring on other web sites made by Benchmark. They said its a popular design and made by other manufacturers...!?
2: Gemological appraisal just repeated the info on the website and seems to be generic and basically not worth the paper on to which it is printed. The cut is described as "ideal" and the clarity is also described, both details are non-applicable to black diamonds. The actual value of the ring is the weight of the Platinum. I expected the weight, platinum alloy composition and whether the black diamonds are treated or natural to be on the appraisal. Brilliance could not answer these questions via email. I actually then emailed Benchmark Directly and got the answers. The platinum is alloyed with Ruthenium. This can be compared to Iridium as the other popular alloy and has pros and cons in terms of Pure platinum by Volume and hardness. I have since gained an advanced Jewelry appraisal locally and the total weight is 19.25gm excluding the diamond is 19.17gm. This is very important for value and for comparing other quotes. Sorry to say these very experienced qualified Gemologists found the appraisal by Brilliance to be comical.
3: The ring was purchased Internationally. Upon receiving I was charged for the shipping and also the shipping invoice listed the rings purchase price as $100.00 more than what I paid. I had to pay extra tax on the shipping and price error. Brilliance quotes free international shipping.
4: Due to not knowing the manufacturer until receiving the ring, I realized that the ring was sold cheaper on competitors web sites. Brilliance honored the low price guarantee and I have since received the refund. But this was a disappointment as the other website had variations of this ring that Brilliance did not.
5: The customer service was responsive but had the strong over tone that dealing with me was a chore and were generally unenthusiastic and short. There definitely was a big lack of knowledge on the product.
Conclusion: Brilliance.com offers great value, and Benchmark is a quality manufacturer. The value of the ring was excellent. It took 10 business days to process and only a few days to ship. It seems Brilliance lacks knowledge on this ring, and the buyer should know in advance who the manufacturer is. In this case, the rating is average only due to the ring's high quality and responsive customer service. But if I had known the manufacturer, I would have purchased this ring from the competitor as their advertised price was cheaper, they have more design variations of this ring to choose from, and the return policy is slightly better as well. However, Brilliance honored the low price guarantee, which is a big plus! So I did not chase up the shipping charges and pricing error. Overall, I am happy and would probably buy women's jewelry and diamonds from Brilliance, but perhaps not men's jewelry.
Brilliance.com Review: Top-Notch Customer Service & Quality Jewelry Purchase
Brilliance.com was the biggest jewelry purchase of my life! I gotta say, their customer service is top-notch. They kept me informed about my Fianc? engagement ring status all the time. I was never left in the dark. Sorry for the long review, but you need to read it to understand the reason.
Every online experience has some cons. Mine was not with the service or ring. It was the sheer stress of such an expensive and important purchase. Start to finish it was a month long wait; schedules changed a couple of times, once at my request. It was stressful, a bit like closing on your first house.
After months of searching for the perfect engagement ring, establishments such as, the biggest online and brick-and-mortar jewelry stores, I nervously picked Brilliance. I was in the abyss of the unknown.
Before I pulled the trigger, and checked BBB.org and read countless months of reviews on Brilliance.com. There were some bad reviews but overwhelmingly positive reviews. Being an online shopper, I always weigh the good and bad. I felt that I did my homework and was ready.
On April 15th 2015 I ordered the setting. I paid via paypal. I had been looking at this setting since December. Brilliance.com was offering 10% off settings that week, so I ordered it and saved $300 off the setting. Off to a good start. That was the first step in the process. That same day, I received a phone call and email from customer service confirming the order. The representative inquired about the center stone, they needed to know the specifications of the center stone before they could make the casting. That makes sense. I told the representative that I have not made the final decision on the stone, but I knew it would be an Asscher cut, 2 Carats +/-. The representative politely asks me about my budget and the color and clarity preference. With that information, he went to work and sent me 4 stones to compare. I told him I needed a few days to think about it, not once did he brother me about the center stone issue. Since I was not in a hurry, I then went shopping and researching stones from other big online jewelers, you know them if you've been stone shopping. I searched and compared. What I found was Brilliance.com was always competitively priced. I decided to order the center stone through Brilliance.com as a complete turnkey purchase.
More about the center stone. On April 27th I wired the money for the stone? big gasp as thousands of dollars was gone from my checking account. Here comes the curveball. On May 1st I received a phone call from my representative, he wanted to deliver the news over a phone call instead of email, that was very professional in my opinion. My 1.71 Carat F IF diamond stone arrived with a chip in the girdle. The Master Gemologist informed me that makes the stone very weak and over time the stone can crack. Therefore they advised me they would not use the stone and sent the stone back. That very same day, the Master Gemologist located me an Asscher is a 2.01ct G IF for the same price. I quickly accepted the offer, knowing it was a great deal.
The new schedule was moved to Friday May 8th delivery. This was unexpected, but okay. Then on May 7th I contacted my representative and asked them to push out the delivery until the next week due to some conflicts on my end. Not a problem the representative said, plus it would give them a couple more days to work on the ring. On May 13th my Fianc? engagement ring shipped by FedEx next day delivery. I inquired about the tracking number, but was told they do not give out the tracking number for security reasons, that seemed weird to me but I trusted them. On the morning of May 14th my representative called to inform me the ring was at the FedEx station ready to pick up. Yeah, finally had it in my hands, it's very beautiful.
Now its 3rd party appraisal time. I found a G. I. A. Graduate Gemologist / Independent Jewelry Appraiser that was is a Senior Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. The ring and stone checked out perfectly, 100% as purchased. What a relief. The Independent appraisal almost perfectly matched Brilliance.com appraisal, within $1300 difference. The ring significantly appraised for thousands more than I paid. I was VERY pleased!
Bottom line. Trust is not an entitlement, it is earned. Brilliance.com earned my trust 1000%. I will be back to purchase our wedding bands. Brilliance.com is now probably my jeweler for life.

Personalized and Special: Our Experience with Brilliance Diamonds
Me and my partner were clueless about diamonds and had no idea what to look for when we started our search online. We found Brilliance and were impressed by the range of options they offered. They even offered to design something custom for us, which was amazing. We were a bit nervous about spending so much money on something we hadn't seen in person, but Brilliance's return policy put us at ease. We decided to buy a loose diamond and have it sent to us. Our representative, Anthony, was incredibly helpful in helping us make a diamond selection. He was honest about the different diamonds and answered all of our emails promptly. He even called us to check in and sent us countless pictures and videos of the diamonds we were interested in. We felt confident that we would find the perfect diamond with Anthony and Brilliance.
Once we had picked a diamond, we sent inspiration photos to Anthony and received CAD renderings of a custom design. We were thrilled with the design and even upgraded to platinum. After the proposal, we realized that the ring wasn't quite what we had imagined. We felt guilty about having to redo it, but Brilliance's Chief Operating Officer, Jonathon, assured us that everything would be taken care of. He even called us at 9pm to make sure we were satisfied. We were connected with Simon, a lead designer, who worked closely with us to come up with a new design. He asked lots of questions and came up with design suggestions. He even handpicked a designer for the prototype based on the feel and look we were going for. Throughout the process, Simon kept us informed and involved. When we received the ring, it was better than we could have imagined. The fine, intricate details were clear and absolutely beautiful. We felt like we had shared the experience with the team at Brilliance and came to trust them.
The redo was done at no additional cost to us, which showed quality customer care. We felt terrible inconveniencing them, but the ring is now something we feel proud of. We have already decided to have a matching band made by Brilliance and used them for our Men's band. We highly recommend Brilliance, especially Anthony and Simon. If you're on the fence about purchasing online, don't be. Brilliance made the experience personal and special for us.
Disappointing Custom Engagement Ring Experience with Brilliance
Me and my fianc? were really disappointed with Brilliance's customer service. We used an heirloom diamond to create a custom engagement ring and even with very clear directions (written instructions complete with diagrams and drawings of the specific things we wanted changed on their models) it took them 8 rounds to finally get something that looked like the original drawing we gave them. After about two months we complained about how long it was taking and they changed our main contact from Delilah who worked from home and could not interpret what we wanted to Jonathon who would give lengthy promises that he would very rarely fulfill and took just as much time to do things or longer. On several occasions Brilliance told us the ring was further along than it was. For example, we would wait a week and then check in about the draft progress then they would tell us we would be getting a new draft the next day and then we would have to follow up 4 days after that and get a response the next day saying that it would get to us tomorrow. It really put a damper on the whole engagement experience.
They finally pulled through and got the ring to us at the very last minute before our engagement photo session. It looked good except I think they rushed to throw it together at the last minute and they didn't get the gradient sapphires right. (Not an easy task but after 4 months, come on.) We sent it back for resizing (our error) and they did it for free and it looked good but took a month to complete from when they received it instead of the 7- 15 days they promised. I got it a week after our engagement party and everyone was asking where the ring was and it was so disappointing to work with a company that made such empty claims about their excellent service.
During that time they also switched the orders of the sapphires so they were dark to light and left some tool marks around the stones they moved. What made us the most mad about the whole process was that Jonathon told us all he had to do was do quality control on the rings and then they would get to us the next day. And then we found out they hadn't even looked at the ring (even though they told us they started on it earlier that week) and it was going to take another 4-5 days to get to us.
Overall, be wary about their custom jewelry. I don't know why they advertise their custom work so heavily but when they get a truly custom design they choked. Also they seem to be very proud of their quality control and how everything must be perfect when it leaves their hands. I found this not to be the case and for several things to be overlooked like it was rushed out at the last minute because it had already taken twice as long as they had promised. On top of that, their customer service was really horrible. I guess you get what you pay for because the price was right but our experience was so bad that it took all of the magic out of designing our engagement ring.
EDIT: We just received a personal email from Jonathan himself asking us to change our post even though he can't argue with it? You have been warned about why the reviews all seem so positive. I didn't DARE send the ring back to brilliance since I needed it in time for our wedding and I absolutely would never do business with them ever again. Initially, she quoted me $1095 for one band and then $1400 for another band before I agreed to proceed. However, she is now asking for $2800 for the band and refuses to refund the $250 deposit. I made the deposit in January to ensure that I would receive my wedding band in time for my wedding in May. She quoted me $1095 for the band in November 2019 and confirmed the same amount through a text message in January 2020.

I gotta say, Brilliance (brilliance.com) is not the best place to shop. I ordered some stuff from them, but they didn't send me everything I paid for. When I tried to return the stuff they did send me, they said no way. I've been trying to get in touch with them, but they never call me back. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

Their business practices are unfair and have caused me a great deal of inconvenience and frustration. Unprofessional Operations and Communication: My Experience with Brilliance.com
I was on the hunt for a solitaire and stumbled upon Brilliance.com. I got in touch with Jennifer and was impressed with their prices, so I decided to place an order for over 6k USD on July 1st. I sent my wire transfer (from outside the US) on July 2nd.
I was getting antsy after not hearing anything for 7 days, so I reached out to them every day to check on the status of my order. Finally, on the 9th of July, I received a heads up that they had received my payment. It took quite a while, even for an international transfer.
Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. For 9 days after payment confirmation, I didn't receive any updates about my diamond. It turns out they couldn't even locate it! Finally, on July 18th, Brilliance informed me that my diamond had arrived at their company, but it was chipped.
They offered to replace it with another diamond, but I declined and requested a refund instead. It's been over 20 days now, and I'm still waiting for my refund of 6,055 USD. I really feel like Brilliance has been unprofessional in terms of their operations and communication. It's been a frustrating experience dealing with them:
- It took them a long time to acknowledge receipt of my funds
- Once they received my payment, I didn't hear anything for 9 days
- The diamond they sent me was chipped
- I still haven't received my refund!
I strongly advise against using Brilliance.com. Instead, try finding a small jeweler who can offer the same prices but with the added benefit of being able to see the stone in person. Save yourself the trouble!
Disappointing Experience with Brilliance's Engagement Ring Design and Quality
I bought an engagement ring from Brilliance, hoping to get an exact copy of a Cartier design. They promised me that it would be just like the original, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disaster.
During the design stage, I pointed out that the claw setting was too large, but they assured me that it would be polished down to a smaller size during the manufacturing process. However, when the ring arrived, the finish was terrible. The claw was still too large, and each claw was round in shape, unlike the original, which had an eagle talon shape.
The side channel walls were poorly polished, and the channel set diamond settings were unevenly protruding above the channel. One of the diamonds was particularly high, and the under part of the settings was not polished at all. The overall quality of the ring was cheap, and it lacked attention to detail.
They offered to take it back and rework it, but I didn't trust them to do a better job the second time around. Besides, I had already paid almost $700 in import taxes, and my fiancée was eagerly waiting for her ring. So, I took it to an ex Graf diamond jeweler who removed the main claw and made one to the original design. He also repolished everything to an amazing standard and replaced two of the diamonds that had cracks in them.
Although it cost me a lot of money to get the ring fixed, I discovered a true craftsman who I will be doing a lot more business with in the future.
Update:
I originally posted this review on Trustpilot, and within two minutes, Brilliance management called me to apologize and offer to remedy the situation. While it was a nice gesture, they then disputed the transaction and tried to get my review removed. I had to send them the order details to get it reinstated, which was a hassle.
I also sent them photos to confirm the issues I had with the ring. It remains to be seen whether they will challenge my review or take steps to improve the customer experience. I will keep you updated.

I am the only one who's having troubles with these people. I know that many of you adore this website and will probably find a million reasons to protect it, but I am unsatisfied and should tell you my story. It's not a long one.
Brilliance ое sent my order separately and one part of it is still in their warehouse (it turned out after my endless calls). I haven't received anything yet, even though it's been one month.

I bought 0.19 Carat Ideal Cut for my fiance. Unfortunately, I waited for too long. It took them 6 weeks to deliver one small ring. It's just unbelievable.
I called them many times and each time they told me a different story. I asked them to call me back when there will be changes in my order status and they said: sure, don't worry, we'll call.
And guess what. No one called me. Yesterday I got the ring. No questions about its quality, it's great. But your service is a joke.

I'm not the one who leaves complaints often. But their company made me do this, sorry. They are quick in charging money, once you placed an order you can say goodbye to the money. But when you don't like something and it comes to returns and a refund, they are super slow. I was waiting for my refund about four weeks. This is just unbelievable. I don't understand it.

Loses BBB accreditation
10-20-15 Today, Brilliance had their attorney send me a letter, threatening again, even after losing in arbitration. They don't agree with the arbitrator's decision and won't pay me. So they kept the ring and $10, 078 from me. Now I will be forced to enforce the decision in court. Sound like a company you want to spend your hard earned money with? Jonathon Ohayon is the Brilliance persons name. Zalman Shapiro is his representing attorney. His office is on Wall Street, in New York. Brilliance's BBB accreditation is revoked. Look it up.
As of 12-9-15 this matter has reached a satisfactory solution.
Loses arbitration.
Update 10-15-15 Brilliance / BBB claim update: after refusing arbitration multiple times, threatening me with an attorney's poorly and unprofessionally written letter, brilliance had no choice but to arbitrate or lose BBB accreditation. So two years + has gone by and we finally get to a force a resolution. Can anyone guess, based on my posts who won arbitration?! Of course, the ruling was in favor of me! I would hope after all this bologna. So the ruling was for me to ship the ring back and Jonathon was to send me a reimbursement in full. $10, 078. He had until October 10, 2015 according to the legally binding arbitration agreement. I shipped the ring back to him. Today is October 15 th and I still haven't received payment. Furthermore, Jonathon Ohayon, will not respond to BBB emails. The BBB was surprised and said this only happened one other time. He will link have his BBB accreditation pulled once again. So my next action is to take this crooked son of a gun (cause I can't swear on here) to court. Will be straight forward as all the court has to do is enforce the legally binding final arbitration agreement. Now he has my ring and my 10 grand. CROOKED MAN! Jonathon, I hope you seek forgiveness because I'd hate to have to explain this one if I was you. Steeling from a hard working blue collar family, then dragging it on for over 2 years while keeping their money. “Would NOT recommend this company. We have a ring that we designed. They guaranteed to make our ring to spec. It has 4 stones. The Emerald fell out during the second time of wearing it. They fixed, resent with scratches and repairs that I would compare to a three year old skill set. Embarrassing to show my wife considering I promised her that I apmade a good choice going through this company. They repaired and replaced the Emerald with a different one. This Emerald had a huge line through it. I was specific with the quality I ordered before I signed the agreement and purchased. They told me it was hard to get the Emerald I requested. I said they shouldn't have promised it to me if it was so hard to accomplish what I was promised. They wanted some time to track down the right Emerald. Months went by at this point. The next Emerald sent didn't have the same cut as the other stones. My wife and I had little money when we got married. This took years and lots of extra work to save for. Appx $10, 000 purchase total purchase. A new wedding band with our kids birthstones and an engagement ring with a diamond. This nearly one year battle to get what we ordered has emotionally harmed us, and my wife refuses to wear this ring now. They ruined our lifetime purchase. I wouldn't expect much after what I went through. They refuse to refund me for our struggles and purchase. I am now seeking legal counsel and consulting with the Better Business Bureau. Be careful is what I would advise.

As of 12-15 This matter has reached a satisfactory resolution.
Here is an update:
Next update: They hired an attorney, who contacted the BBB, not to close the complaint as unresolved, as they wanted to work to find a solution, and solve in an "amicable" fashion. Their idea of "amicable" was to try to bully me into taking down my complaint posts of what has happened, and in doing so, they wouldn't come after me for libel, which I have never, and will never do. By this, they will repair the ring to the way it has always supposed to have been done. Even though their manufacturer defect warranty covers this in writing anyway. Also, the ring is beyond repair, and they never were able to build it correct to begin with. As a side note: the attorney wrote his letter very quickly, I am to assume, as he obviously didn't take the time to proof read. His grammar and abbreviations are not what I would expect from a lawyer. Not very professional.
So, the complaint is closed as, unresolved, because they refuse to arbitrate. Hmmm, I signed to arbitrate. I reached out, one more time on my own to request him to return the ring for a refund. He denied. I have involved other resources to assist me in my claim. I sure hope no one else has to deal with a similar situation. Stay away, is the best advice I can give, based on my experience.
