Upon arrival I had to show my tickets on my phone (purchased through Ticketmaster). After we were seated and the play had started, another usher interrupted us asking to see our tickets again. We provided them (on our phones). A few minutes later we were interrupted again to produce our tickets. We obliged, but asked to not be disturbed again. We were disturbed again by the usher and she asked to take my phone to her manager. I didn't like it, but I gave her my phone. She brought it back. A few minutes later she asked us to vacate our seats to come to the back (again during the performance). I was angry this time, showed my tickets to the manager, was told we were ok to return to our seats. At intermission I asked to speak to a manager. She was very rude saying they had another patron who had the same tickets. I asked why I was disturbed 4 times during a performance after showing that I had tickets. She said "what do you want from me, free drinks!" I asked to speak with a different manager. She said I had been offered sufficient compensation for being disturbed.
Desired outcome: refund of 2 tickets for spoiled evening
Customer service at moulin rouge show
Date of incident was Friday, February 11, 7 pm Moulin Rouge show, Al Hirschfeld Theater. My 2 adult children (male 23) (female 21) and the girlfriend of my son (22) were all treated by me to their first ever broadway show, Moulin Rouge. We were all in NYC together with my wife of 30 years (and the children's mother) We had seen the show pre-covid 2 years ago, and knew they would love it. They were incredibly excited. They arrived in NYC a few hours before the show. We all went to dinner and then they took an Uber to the show. Sadly, around 6:45 pm the following happened: Upon arrival, and as they were in line to enter, they were approached by a theater representative who said something to the effect of, "Have ya'll had too much fun tonight? Maybe another night would be better for you? They were asked to step out of line and wait for management. At first my son told me later, he thought it was a joke. Then the rep returned and said they had several complaints about their behavior. My son questioned if they were mistaken for someone else, as they had literally just exited the Uber. The rep continued to suggest they not enter and should possibly choose another night. When my son informed them that they had just arrived in NYC and this was their first broadway show, and they were only there for 2 days and didn't plan to leave, the rep called a"manager". The manager then came outside, spoke to my son, and promptly said to the rep,"they are fine, let them in". The rep then rudely made some comment and walked away. Then, at intermission, when my son was in line to buy a cocktail, the same rep suddenly appeared as if she had been stalking him and said,"I thought we had a deal, NO DRINKING! during the show, at which time my son responded that he was of age and offered to show ID, the rep loudly said, "No, you order a drink and you'll be kicked out" The bartender then poured the drink out that he was preparing and my son decided to just go back to his seat and not complain because he didn't want to miss any part of the second act (it was sold out and crowded). I was with my son, daughter and son's girlfriend at dinner just before the show. No one was even close to intoxicated. Over a 2 hour dinner, we each had a small pre-dinner cocktail and all split 1 bottle of wine. Yes they were genuinely excited about the show (a surprise gift from me) but were not acting stupid and were not close to anything intoxicated. I truly believe they were mistaken for another group. It was very crowded and congested. Mistakes can happen and I realize covid tensions are high for broadway workers, but this rep was out of line and apparently would not stop, was very rude and made the experience very awkward and uncomfortable. When they told me about it after the show, I was shocked at this bizarre treatment as I have been to dozens of broadway shows over many years with no issues. This was not a mask issue as they were all compliant. Just rude and bizarre behavior. They enjoyed the show but the experience was uncomfortable and bizarre and disappointing to say the least.
Desired outcome: Ticket refund or credit to attend a future show. Would appreciate a response.

Their service fee is 38% of the face value of the ticket price. 38%!
We received Broadway.com Gift Certificates for our wedding anniversary totalling $325.
We thought that should be plenty to see a first rate Broadway play. Turns out, Orchestra seats to "Ain't To Proud" were $189 each plus Broadway.com's Service Fee of $71.82 per ticket brought the ticket price to $260.82 each x 2 = $521.64
