Love it, one small improvement
I don’t want to ramble, but I LOVE this game and have one, small improvement suggestion. Since I was 8, I have probably beaten it at least 6 times, and platinum trophied the PS4 edition as well as doing the equivalent of that on the scholarship edition on Xbox 360.
So far, I love this edition too - not to mention being able to connect a controller to your phone is mind blowing.
The only thing I’ve run into, is that you can’t change the button interface in-game. For example, I’m playing with a PS4 controller. The buttons in game are laid out as an xbox controller ( X is A, Square is X, Triangle is Y, circle is B, LB is L1, etc).
If I was able to change the layout to be a PS4 controller (or Nintendo switch for that matter), it would make classes/games like Chemistry and Shop way easier since you don’t have to second guess each button you click.
Otherwise, I love this edition. I am still waiting for the day Bully 2 makes a debut
Great game as expected
Rockstar has always had really solid gameplay in my opinion. However, the few complaints I do have is that 1.) the bus transportation is one way. It'd be nice to not have to waste so much time traveling across the map manually all the time.
Even the GTA games had a form of quick transport.
2.) Zoe in my opinion seems to have a much more dulled down role. While the other girls are much more present Zoe takes an unfortunate and rather disappointing back seat to the rest.
It'd be nice to have her wander around campus during the endless summer chapter, even have some dialogue alterations and character development occur. For example, Pete could be seen as more confident having been taken under the headmasters wing.
3.)I would've liked if Jimmy had mentioned Edgar as well to try and get an offer extended to him as well. Seems fair.
4.) Finally during endless summer it would be pretty nice if all classes were open so you can choose which you want to take on.
OMG
Let me tell you one or two things this game is very entertaining fun I had playing on the PS4 Xbox every Consol this game is so much fun you will have the time of your life on this game you will never stop playing it and I have played it since I was one years old probably limo but I promise you will like this game and please play I’ll give you the five stars and I would never regret in my life this is one of the best teams in the world from 2013 all the way to 2020 so please consider playing this game if you’re new to playing video games this game is so much fun it’s worth it’s 6.99 or 5.99 there is some bugs but it’s fine all that matters is you have fun and you enjoy the game it’s better than some other games rockstar is one of the greatest companies but it’s easy to hack and stuff like that but yeah I like this game so much I’ve been playing it for so much I read this a 10 out of 10 or 100 at a time it’s like the most funniest game you could ever played so yeah
Incredible port
I am playing using the Backbone One on an iPhone X.
The controls are seamless with the exception of your character occasionally reverting from running to walking when you change directions diagonally on the left stick.
That may/may not be within the game itself, as I have not had the issue with any other game.
Tapping ‘A’ to sprint has helped get around it, although I am finding my right hand tiring quickly from constantly doing it while I play.
Graphically this is a BIG step up from the PlayStation version I was familiar with. Character models are more fleshed out, detailed, and have individual fingers (LOL)
Mouth movements match dialog far better than I remember in prior versions. Character animations are more fluid on the whole.
Draw distance in the game makes a big difference while exploring the environment. Although I didn’t have an issue before, I find myself getting to locations with much more ease this time around.
This is an amazing way to experience a beloved classic. R u da
All-time favorite game
The only game I've ever played that captures the nostalgia of growing up on the east coast has been ported to iOS and the transfer is amazing. The touch screen can be a little tricky at first, but the game benefits from it in many ways: no more fumbling with a controller during the more difficult Biology classes and opening lockers is more intuitive now. The frame rate and loading times have increased and the game runs much smoother than it did on the Xbox 360, which is quite impressive. No more loading screens every time you enter a building. The lighting and shadows might have looked a little better on the 360 version, but that's my only gripe. The auto save feature is a major plus; whenever you complete a mission, the game saves, unlike the previous versions of the game which required you to run back to the boys dorm every time. All in all, an amazing game made even better for iOS and for only $6.99 it's an absolute steal. I'm very pleased that I can now take it with me wherever I go. Rockstar, we want a sequel!
Amazing! But having issues
First off, this game is amazing for a T-Rated game made by a company who has been known for famous franchises such as Max Payne and GTA, the game feels like a GTA game but it's the teen version. R really outdid theirselves when they made this mobile version of Bully, but there has been numerous bugs like the game crashes on the mission "The Rumble", after the fight with Peanut and his boys, the confrontation with Johnny crashes when he knocks Jimmy on the ground and the police show, I always make sure to make Cloud Saves just in case something like this happens, but this really is an issue that bugs me with Rockstar's Mobile Games, I'm glad they have Cloud Saves but these bugs need to get fixed ASAP. I'm giving this 5 stars even though it probably should be given 4, but the game is beautiful and has wonderful gameplay and a great story about a teenage bully named Jimmy Hopkins who tries to fit in at a school called Bullworth Academy that's riddled with bullies, jocks, rich kids, slicks like greasers, and other kinds of troubles.
Needs CRITICAL bug fixes (Updated 2019.02.23)!
Great game, like the controls, worth a 5 star ratings, but... YOU CAN'T COMPLETE THE GAME.
Noticed two critical issues that cause app to completely crash and prevent progress of gaming experience.
Mission "The Rumble" at cutscene where Jimmy gets knocked down (I have seen this issue reported in other reviews), and "Go-Cart Race 2" after winning race. Both these issues cause app to crash and prevent game progress. Tried replaying each game multiple times and was unable to correct issue.
I would caution anyone thinking about buying this game, as it is currently broken and unable to be completed.
I have had a great time playing this game and don't personally regret buying it, however, I feel it is good to advise people about issues so that they can make well informed decisions about what they do with their money.
I got excited when I saw there was an update available for the game (Feb 2019), but unfortunately the extremely long period since the last game update hasn't corrected this issue. Which it is apparent this game port to iOS is more for a quick buck than actual gamer experience. Pretty sad.
An excellent game for iOS
I first payed this game on the PS2 when I was 8 didn’t understand it at all. I played in high school and fell in love with it. The mini games, the replayability the character development and the plot. Something that I didn’t love about the GTA series is the unrelatable characters. I completely relate to Jimmy due to how I made friends in elementary and high school. I have the Scholarship Edition on PC but it’s in repair and bully crashes a lot in Windows 10 also there’s no achievements at all which is a burden in my opinion. I love the fact that there’s an Anniversary Edition on if it was on PC,Xbox One,PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The have the PS2 version on PS4 but $15 is asking a lot when it cuts away a bunches of content and missions. The iOS port is excellent and needs to be a console and PC release. Also there needs to be a bully College Edition or a prequel of how he was sent to Bullworth. Rockstar listen up because I like this game a lot better than the GTA games including GTA V. This game has a cult following so what are y’all waiting for? Please make a bunch of sequels or prequels to this game.
Good Story - Ridiculous Game Play
Let me lay out the game play here. You get a mission or task. You travel all the way to get there. You start to do the task ... and ... waa waaa! YOU FAILED!
Then, guess what ... YOU HAVE TO START ALL OVER! NOT AT THE POINT YOU MESSED UP ON ... NO, NO, NO ... ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE &$#%ING BEGINNING.
So, you friggin start over, and go all the way back, and you FINALLY GET BACK TO WHERE YOU FAILED PREVIOUSLY AND THEN YOU MAKE IT A LITTLE FARTHER AND THEN ... YOU FAILED AGAIN!
WHY? Because there’s no way you can figure out what the heck you’re supposed to do until you get in the situation through trial and error!
ANNOYING AND STUPID!
So, you know what you do? YOU GO WATCH SOME YOUTUBE VIDEO OF HOW TO DO IT ... not because you don’t want to figure it out yourself ... BUT BECAUSE YOU’RE SO FRIGGIN SICK OF HAVING TO START ALL THE WAY BACK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TASK!
I’m sorry, but that’s stupid! Any game you have to basically watch a video of to know exactly where to walk and how to pass IS STUPID!
ITS LIKE BANGING YOUR HEAD AGAINST A ROCK OVER AND OVER! Just plain annoying!
❤️Loved this game on the PS2, And i love it on mobile. Some Problems
If you're thinking about buying this game, but feel Unsure about getting it because of the Price, Here is how this game feels an Plays.
Story: The main story isn't the most innovative thing about the game, but it pays off with great Characters, And the side missions you do will be fun, Might even bring back some memories from your childhood. 7.5/10
Gameplay: Here is what makes the game such a blast, whether it's you pranking your classmates, or riding a skateboard you get early on. My favourite part are the Classes you HAVE to get to on time or else the prefects will be on the lookout for you, Once you finish a class, you'll get a reward, such as, Stink bombs, fire crackers, clothes, E.T.C. 8.7/10
World: Thè places you can explore are kind of limited, The map is not as big as some other rockstar games, except that doesn't matter too much because there're a-lot of things to keep you occupied, like a carnival that you can take dates to, an play mini games. 8.1/10
Cons: There is a camera problem when you're up against a wall, which hinders your site. Steering on the skateboard is a little bit finicky for my taste, either you turn slowly or steer too quickly. 6.9/10
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Broken Port ,Corrupted Save data
The game itself on older systems is great; however, this port for ios is incredibly broken. At first, the game was functional with a few minor glitches that didn’t detract from the overall gameplay experience. Then, suddenly, none of my save files worked (neither the cloud files nor the direct ones). Anytime I attempted to load a save file, the game immediately crashed. What is the point of playing a game when you cannot load your saved progress? Do I need to run the game in my background indefinitely to continue my progress? I attempted to uninstall and reinstall and still cannot access my save files. That is incredibly disappointing and unacceptable for any app, especially one that cost $6.99. I already requested a refund and will not be attempting to play this game in the future unless Rockstar actually rectifies this issue. I’ll reiterate again - DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE LOAD ANY OF YOUR SAVE FILES. Also, based on the version history, this game has not been updated in three years. The last update was for the iPhone X. Rockstar clearly doesn’t support this game anymore and will most likely never update this version. So, no new iPhones will ever be able to play Bully.
10/10
Nice to see that my favorite game of all time is on the App Store with useable controls.
The story's a little slow in the beginning, but after the first chapter, it gets intense and rather unpredictable.
The characters are all incredible.
The soundtrack is still perfect, but also improved. This time, one can hear the entire track being played during a class mini-game as opposed to a looped version of the first variation.
Textures are improved, even better than what the high end PC allows (un-modded). The loading times are half a second and there's auto-saving (unlike any other port).
Although the on-screen controls are almost flawless, manual aiming with projectiles and the slingshot is weird. One time I meant to throw a firecracker at some knob, and I accidentally threw it at some chick. What followed was an immediate tackle from a prefect.
v v v
To get a 10/10 experience as opposed to a 9/10 in terms of controls, use a phone gaming controller. The controller controls for Bully are perfect.
Story is great, side activities are great, there's plenty to unlock and spend points on, etc. This includes clothes, bikes, a go-kart, all for the open world, and so on.
10/10, my favorite game of all time I think.
Amazing
I've been playing Bully since the game came out in 2006. Absolutely addicted since the moment I picked it up on PS2. This port brings together the great Scholarship Edition and the ability to play anywhere, I don't even have to sit down at home to play! The graphics are stunning, much nicer than I've seen in the different platforms I've been able to play this game on. It's nearly very perfect and the gameplay experience will put any old time fan of the game on the greatest nostalgia trip of a lifetime. My only complaints are;
The controls are admittedly a little wonky, and the game's auto aim makes fighting a little more difficult ( when you are fighting and want to run away, Jimmy stays locked on to your prior target while blocking rather than full on running away. this makes you an easier target for the AI to retaliate against because you are not escaping as quick as you'd like ). Riding the skateboard is more of a hindrance than a help. I've yet to try riding bikes in the game yet as I was stuck on the first chapter awhile thanks to said wonky controls, but the vehicle mechanics worry me. As well, I save sometimes and my saves seem not to work? I'll return to the game later and my progress is gone. Lastly, I'm not sure if this is just a me problem, but my phone also heats up to a ridiculous degree if I play for over 15 mins at a time.
The World wants an uodated version of our favortie game
The Bull: Anniversary Edition is a popular game among iOS device users, offering an exciting and challenging gameplay experience. However, some players have reported experiencing unexpected crashes while playing the game, which can be frustrating and may detract from the overall enjoyment of the game. To address this issue, an updated version of the game is needed, which can fix the crashes and provide a smoother gameplay experience for players.
Moreover, enabling cheat codes on all iOS devices could add an element of fun and excitement to the game, allowing players to experiment with new strategies and discover hidden features. This would also provide a fresh challenge for seasoned players who have already completed the game and are looking for new ways to play.
Additionally, high-quality graphics are crucial in providing an immersive and engaging gameplay experience for players. The Bull: Anniversary Edition could benefit from an upgrade to its graphics to make the game more visually appealing, with detailed textures, vivid colors, and realistic animations. This would provide players with a more enjoyable and satisfying experience, making the game more popular among iOS device users. an updated version of the Bull: Anniversary Edition is necessary to fix unexpected crashes, enable cheat codes, and improve the graphics of the game. These improvements would enhance the overall gameplay experience for players and make the game more enjoyable and appealing to a wider audience.
Great To Be Back At Bullworth Academy
I was taken aback when I saw Rockstar Games had released, Bully: Anniversary Edition, on the App Store recently. While it has always been hard for me to pick a favorite Rockstar Games game, well, this ranked right up near the top with, Red Dead Redemption and the, Grand Theft Auto, series. And as I said it's just great to be back at Bullworth Academy, on my mobile device no less. Now if they would just release a special edition or backwards compatible version on the Xbox One console, well, my Bully wants would be complete.
I originally played this on my Xbox 360 and it was one of the titles I was really proud of getting a 100% achievement score in. Which was quite trying at times I found. So, I'm excited to try and get 100% completion again on my iPhone 6 Plus/ iPad Air 2.
And while I haven't delved very far into the game yet, I have to say that I have had no issues with any gameplay bugs or other irritations and this version has run very smoothly for me thus far. Plus, it to me just brings such nostalgia hearing all of the great dialogue, seeing the HD graphics and just enjoying the smooth gameplay mechanics.
Which I have to say that I'm always quite nervous when a console game is ported to a mobile device, in terms of the controls. But, I haven't had any issues as of yet and to me it feels really natural playing, Bully: Anniversary Edition, on my smartphone.
So, whether you enjoyed this brilliant game on a console in the past or this is your first semester at Bullworth Academy. Well, I highly recommend buying this game and I want to applaud and thank, Rockstar Games, for what is so far a really outstanding port of this title in my opinion. Thanks again, God bless and Merry Christmas ☃️
iPhone 6 Plus/ iOS 10.1.1
I can’t decide!
This Game is like the little brother &, or PG version of GTA San Andreas incase you didn’t know. Speaking of which, The learning how to fight, going to the gym to get your strength up, The cliques which are similar to the gangs in GTA San Andreas, especially Russell & His goon squad &, or group of bullies. Russell & his guys, remind you of Cesar & his gang from SA & when it comes to Johnny’s girlfriend Lola who is a H &, or Gold digger, or something like that, She kinda reminds you of either Catalina, or Maria, who were both in GTA 3, &, or GTA 3. Liberty City Stories, but made What are called Cameo &, or guest appearances in SA which, in the game worlds timeline, takes place before the previous mentioned games, although in IRL the previous mentioned games came out first. That said, the time line to be exact, goes like this… GTA San Andreas, GTA 3. Liberty City Stories & then GTA 3. Now when it comes to having a girlfriend in Bully, Jimmy just like CJ can have, earn &, or find a total of like 6. although Jimmy can kiss any female character that isn’t considered a kid &, or adult & yes, adults include teachers. Now when it comes to the last mission, or 2. maybe 3. when the school is rioting & whatnot, the same thing happens in SA where the whole city starts to riot. Then in the last mission where you beat up/kill Gary &, or Big Smoke, who you thought were your friends, but it turns out, that they were just opportunists, as I believe it is called. Speaking of which, opportunists are the type of people to sell their own soul to the devil, if they thought that it would benefit them, & if that is their mindset &, or perspective then some things such as pandora’s box &, or the 7 deadly sins is & must be what they choose to live & die for.

Bully Complaints 12
Gameplay on mobile severely limited
Let's be honest, Bully comes up short when comparing it to greats like Grand Theft Auto SA or Liberty City. The fun of the sandbox world comes from knowing that you can be invincible, dodging police and hiding at pay n sprays. Bully limits this severely, giving poor weapons and invincible police. What fun is always running away?
Moreover the controls on mobile are hard to use and poorly designed. I don't recommend this game
Extremely fun but destroys your battery
So this game is incredibly fun. Brings back all the memories from PS. However, I had to delete it because it basically broke my phone and killed my battery. 18 minutes on screen resulted in a 52% battery drop. Even when not playing it or having it running it in the background, it made my battery drop from 80% to 12% in 40 minutes. Literally just sitting idle it drains your battery. Really fun but not worth it unless it's patched...
Cannot be completed on iOS - crash
The game cannot be completed on iOS due to game crash at Act III mission "The Rumble", and Go Cart Race 3. The game crashes during cut scene, preventing progress from being saved.
Mixed success reported online involving reinstalling the game and restoring from a cloud save. Does not resolve for my hardware.
Other versions describe crashes as an out of RAM issue, closing all unnecessary iOS resources to free up memory has not worked to get past this point.

Corrupt saves :(
It crashes everytime I try to load an auto or cloud save.. then after that EVERY SAVE FILE gets corrupt and crashes upon loading. And every new save I make is also corrupt. I haven’t experienced anything like this since the Gta Vice city ice cream place save on PS2 that corrupts everything. Big rip
Please fix this, I can only seem to avoid this by deleting the app and redownloading and never loading a save other than what the game loads for me upon opening the app
You still haven't fixed "The Rumble
You know after 2 years I expect to not have to play "The Rumble" 7 flipping times and stand on my head just to get past the second cut scene. I have seen it over and over in reviews here, and it is B.S.
For anyone stuck here, just keep trying, and keep all 3 guys in the alley when you defeat them and after they go down touch nothing, and pray it does not crash. Bring some patience and expect to do it multiple times. Also load your autosave rather than redoing the mission 500 times.
Black screen glitch ruined my game
I paid $6.99 for Bully, completed the first chapter, and then my game had a constant black screen during gameplay. I tried reopening the app, nothing. I tried restarting my phone, nothing. I tried updating my phone, nothing. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and now my saved progress is completely gone. I don't feel like plugging in another five hours, just so I can get back to where I was and hope that the black screen doesn't reappear. Normally I have nothing but great things to say about Rockstar, but my money was wasted in this situation.
Need help awful bug
Please fix this Rockstar! This game worked fine for me until I got to chapter two. One time when I was playing, my game crashed. So I went back in, and I had lost literally all of my progress. I restarted at Welcome To Bullworth, and tried to load my save from chapter two. It didn’t work, I just went back to the opening cutscene. I tried again, and it did work! But then the game crashed again, and the same thing happened! Rockstar, this is not okay. I need you to fix this, because it’s game breaking. I’m not willing to waste hours of my life loading back my save. Fix this please!
List of problems for new update to happen
(iPhone 6S and Note 3 mostly)
1. Icons don't appear on mini-map.
2. Unlockable outfits are not fully shown (mostly only headwear)(panda head not full).
3. Game reduces total phone brightness even if it is on full capacity and even if a player leaves the game for another app.
4. Soda'licious achievement is broken.
5. Missions are not included at all (Nutcrackin')
6. Crashing device
7. No ability to look behind on controller support
8. Prefects and cops don't appear on map (IMPORTANT).
9. Screen recording audio doesn't match with video and voices get a millisecond skip that is highly annoying.
10. Errands do not appear as should.
Crashes
I played this games back when it was on ps2 and loved it finally decided to get it for iPhone and got a good ways into the game when I went to play it again I tried to load my saved file and it crashes every time I select the file so now I will have to start all over I’m not to happy after paying $7 for this game I assumed since the game has been out for a long time now that any problems like that would be fixed by now I’m really wanting a refund I’m worried about playing and getting far into the game again and it doing the same thing would have gave 5 stars if it wasn’t for that problem no excuse for paid game to have any glitches after being out for this long
Controls and camera need major work
I never played this game so I don’t have the nostalgia feel. Maybe that’s why it just angers me. I like the gameplay, but the poor control responsiveness and bad camera just make it almost unbearable. Switching weapons or tools is a pain. Running is a pain. Jumping is difficult. Accidentally entering aiming mode and various modes happens much too often. Aiming at anything is incredibly difficult without using auto-aim. Doing missions with auto aim can be incredibly difficult, especially when auto-aim never targets the closest or correct enemies and there is no way to switch. The game is just ridden with bugs and honestly, this is the only game I’ve rated poorly by Rockstar on mobile, but It truly is a bad game if you never played before.
Game is broken in graphics, should have more graphic accessibility
I don't understand why I can't customize my graphics as much as the iPhone 7. Like, I don't have shadows for some reason even though I have an iPod Touch 6, a device much more powerful than the PS2 but yet still doesn't have shadows or even lets me customize if I want shadows or not? Why do I need to have an expensive device like an iPhone 7 Plus or a Galaxy S7 Edge just to have SHADOWS? Why doesn't my device, which is still supportive of shadows and higher graphics, let me customize the amount of graphics I want as like on an iPhone 7? Tell me, that doesn't make any sense. It's like marketing for the latest iPhone telling you that you can only have the best when you have the latest in phone generations. I'm done, this is ridiculous and absolutely disgusting. Still don't know how to make a true port Rockstar/Take Two.
Does not work
The slingshot does not work for me. By that I cannot zoom in or out. So I am stuck in the mission help Gary
