Buy As You View [BAYV] fraud

ive been with B.A.Y.V for 6 years now and thought thier service was pretty good, first a T.V payed, then had a dryer payed and then the washing machine was still paying for 2 years until today i realised thier error so im not paying any more, they still expect another year of payments i laughed at them the jokers . so i calculated the items and the years and whatch this for a ### they wont sort out, washing machine £350, £7oo pay in 3 years i pay them £88.00 every 2 months since oct 09 till now =968.00 and there is another year of this to pay. im not paying them i will laugh them out of court they owe me! also the 3rd year i had a stereo they came 2 weeks early for payment but i get payed monthly and ive never ever missed a payment because i was £28.00 short and didnt get payed for a week he took my stereo in his car and went. so i phoned B.A.Y.V they told me he done wrong and they sacked him good ridens. here is some good advice if your desperate for something you need off them keep your eyes open on your total because they never send you any statements you can ring them and they will make up a total for you.

P.S the collectors are polite and respectable thats all i can say is good

Buy As You View [BAYV] Customer Service , Brech of Contract

I rented a TV and washing machine from Buy as you View 2years ago, were by I pay one pound for 4 hours viewing which pays for my TV and Washing Machine .
In the two years I have had them out 4 times to the TV and Once to my washer. The TV went into the work shop as they say the "ON - OFF" button was broken, at that time they had the set for two weeks . On returning ( all fine ) . It then went on the "blink" the engineer came said it was the ariel connection making the picture break up also couldnt get any information on the built in free view, I duelly went and bought a new ariel connection still the picture was breaking up but still no free view info, engineer came AGAIN said it was an old set and the free view needed up dating ! On calling the Customer service line I was told that both items were (Reconditioned ) WHAT ! I have been ;ed to beleive for the past two years I have been buying a NEW set and Washing machine, which by the way has had a new Drum and electrical fault in the two years ! My TV was in the work shop for a month, on returning it last Tuesday they instaled it -- It didnt work the problem it went in with initially hadnt been fixed, they took it away again and still have it at todays date ! I have written twice to them outlinning the problems with absolutly no response to date ! I contacted Trading Standards who explained to me that Buy As You View are in breech of contract, this I quoted to them in my letter of the 4th September and 8th October, Still no response ! What am I to do ?

what is going on with buy as u view why r they not accepting any orders ive been with them for nearly 3 years i have a tv and a blu ray i also pay by direct debit every wk out of the bank so i cant understand y they cant come and take my meter off my tv i so angry at the minute bcoz i applied 3 months ago for a ipad for my daughter for college and they asked me to send all my wage slips in and bank statements and still nothing what is going on

I had a laptop from bhyv and it broke down they told me that because I missed payment I had to pay for the repair myself with cost me £230 so it got added on to my account weekly to pay for the repairs after having the laptop back 3 weeks later it seems to have the same problem and I am refusing to pay them any more money until they remove the laptop and cost of repair off my account I do not believe they fixed the laptop in the first place feeling so angry with the company any one no my rights on this problem I will be greatful

I bought a tv off BAYV last year. They collected it 8 weeks ago and are now saying they haven't got it back and I must keep paying for it as it must have been stolen. The 2 guys that picked the tv up were apparently supposed to give me a docket or something but didn't. I've involved the police at their request but the police have said its a clerical error on their side most probably but they continue to phone me daily with regards to my account it's driving me insane. The collector has said I need to get a crime reference number so they can sort it then when insurance company deliver a new tv I must leave it boxed and ring him to collect it. Pure madness I will never get anything from this company again they are terrible

I was stupid and I patient getting a sofa with them with my ex partner I hate it its ugle cheap tacky and i cant aford it and Dont want it but I'm stuck in a stupid contract that I really can't afford to pay :( anyone know a get out clause? Would be really helpful x

Oh and as for them calling the police? What they gonna so? Arrest you for trying to watch tv on your own television? As long as nothing (meter) is damaged I think they would probably think it was a crank call

Please people just realise you can just unplug the meter from your tv and use another cable from most other tv's or buy one for next to nothing! Hope this helps.

i have recently got a bed from bayv and it came with a very nasty suprise as in bed bugs its got them coming from all the seams of the bed and they just call us liars so we contacted trading standards etc to take the matter further and now my husband and have nowere to sleep and a room less in our house as we are not allowed to dispose of the bed and they will not take it away because they spread.

Buy As You View [BAYV] warranty and agreements

Well, it seems that Buy As You View are getting away with murder .They are not regulated by the FSA ( Financial Services Authority ), refuse point blank in admitting miss selling of warranty on goods .I have now seen 3 hp agreements with signatures on which arent the customers .Yet myself and other customer I know of have wrote to Buy As You View about these agreements and Buy As You View have even failed to respond at all, infact they have completely ignored the fact that these agreements exist, on 1 agreement there is no signature on behalf of the company, no date, date of birth of customer is wrong, thats without the signature looking nowhere near that of the customers, so ' allegedly forged '. Buy As You View know full well that the financial Ombudsman cant take cases on of Buy As You View as they are not regulated by the FSA, clever Graham Clarke and co . This company are taking thousands off customers, high interest rates .Yet turn a blind eye to serious complaints . They also state that all employees are trained to sell the warranty, explain to customers what it is, and employees have unannounced visits upon them to check on them, so to speak . If you ever have a problem with this company, telephone consumer direct or your local trading standards . Rip off as you view have no care for their customers complaints .If waaranty is added without your knowledge to goods purchased off this company, or your told you have to have their warranty, or youve been sold it on these grounds, telephone the Office of fair trading, consumer direct .

Buy As You View [BAYV] Interst rates ,mis selling and bad customer liasons

Have been mis selling warranty to customers for years by adding it to hp agreements without asking the customer if they want their so called 'optional warranty ' Harrassment and bullying by employees to customers to get payments out of them, and removal of essential goods from customers using bullying, leaving families without washing machines, televisions etc . High interest rates of 39%, and each time a customers has a new item on hp, they midify agreements adding interest upon interest, the goods are never the customers, unless they pay off goods in full, the company targets low income families, single parents .This company do not give a toot for their customers and the high management such as Graham Clarke, Chief Executive turns a blind eye to complaints when sent to him . I have recently requested true copies of my agreements and have found 2 which have signatures on them which are not mine, so someone has taken it upon themselves to sign the agreement instead of bringing the credit agreements back to me to get signed, or for some other unknown reason . I have sent a letter to top bosses at Buy As You View, who have ignored this concern I have .

Well I Called the company today on behalf
of someone who has been paying these people
for years
Was astounded to learn that they had charged
£174 for a kettle, totaster, and a small microwave I checked the cost of the items at
Asda £84.00
What is worse is they have also charged £104
For a worthless warranty, it does not cover
Breakages just manufacturer issues
Total rip off

Well it has now been over a month since my TV went off due to Buy as you View messing up a Direct Debit, still awaiting a call back with they promised within 3 days, not making another payment until they do, trading standards are investigating them and financial ombudsman as they are trying to place charges on my account saying tried to take DD, but there is no DD setup and there is no transactions on my statement as back has confirmed...

they also say they have tried ringing but my phone logs say otherwise. Even asked they to remove the goods but then ignore my requests, They have also been advised to ring me to gain entry to my flat as I don't hear the door and yet again they try knocking, complete shambles, asking for a settlement figure and they have ignored me. let it now go to court as it is now they legal responsibility to honor these requests

i am with bayv we have it dd but after so many months of it going out of the bank alright they mess it up all of suddun they not took any payments and coltecter comes out to set up dd again every time this as happened it puts our account behind i think they doing this a bit to oftern i dont think they want us to pay it off and leave

If the banks can be taken on for miss selling ppi why cant bauv be taken on also . I used this firm also when I was a single low income parent dont think I was not grateful for the chance to get a new tvbut I questioed the vouchers u had to buy and the intrest that was added together if u had two debts going .I will be looing into seeing if they are brought to order like the banks .mandie 44 s wales

they take an extra weeks money with out telling you. I think this is wrong. The collectors don't talk to you with respect they are horrible to the customers

buy as you view say they don't charge a late payment fee but they do. it says in there book that they DONT charge this fee but they will take an extra week's payment when they call back the amount you were short.
