Dollar Tree - square pot holders (teal) with quote "the best things in life aren't things"

The very first time I used this product, they were instantly ruined. There are multiple reasons as to why I am submitting this complaint.

1. This product is specifically meant to handle hot objects. It is insanely dangerous that they are not capable of doing so, I could have very easily burned myself.

2. The material instantly adhered to my pan, and now my pan is ruined due to the material stuck to the bottom being a fire hazard.

3. I understand that it was from a dollar store, and isn't a high end product. But not only is it a waste of my money, it was a dangerous waste of my money. When it comes to hot objects, perhaps it's best not to stock the item if it can't withstand what it's meant to be used for.
