We had purchased a leather couch and love seat in 2010. At this time the sales representative sold us an additional warranty for 4 years. He stated that this warranty covered full replacement for any concerns we would have with this set. We had even asked about every possible outcome before we made this purchase, and he confirmed it would be covered. Just over a year into it the manufacturer defects have allowed the stitching to split under the seating and recliner stools. In addition we have maintained this set impeccably, using Leon`s leather care set, and regular cleaning.
When we called Leon's, the lady who assisted us stated that the warranty only covered tears and stains. Now I feel lied to by the initial sales man just so he could get his commission and Leon's could get their money. Now they have their money they do not care about the customer, or any repeat business.
Sadly this warranty was worth nothing yet, but I do intend to make sure others do not get this abuse as well.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
