This was on 18 January, around 3-4pm I was racially profiled by the security guard at shoppers drug mart. I walked in with two of my friends, we looked around and walked around the store. We noticed him following us but paid no mind. We eventually picked up some candy after about 10 mins of being in the store and paid for it. On our way out, the security guard, a south Asian man wearing a black head cover, stopped me. Saying he wanted to search my bag. Only me. I was the only black person amongst my friends. Ofc I hadn’t stolen anything so I complied to the search. He searched it and obv found nothing. I’m just upset I was the only one targeted
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the emotional dissatisfaction it caused me as well as the embarrassment.
