I received a gift card with the receipt attached. The gift card does not work! Shoppers won't honor the card (for HomeSense). I went through Shoppers process of submitting pictures of the gift card and receipt and after 3 weeks they send an email stating, they can't do anything but try contacting HomeSense. They provided no information for contacting HomeSense and basically took the money for the non-working gift car and they just oh well, your problem not ours!
Why do they sell gift cards that don't work and won't help resolving the issue? They just rip customers off by taking their money.
Desired outcome: A new working gift card
Shoppers Drug Mart - Non sdm person harassing customers
The Chief Executive Officer,
Shopper Drug Mart,
I am writing to register a complain while my wife and I were shopping at you store located at 3781 Strandherd Drive, Nepean, Ontario on 22nd of May around 11 am. We pulled into the front of the above store into a handicap parking spot. I was told by a white Caucasian person with a dog telling me that I had parked my vehicle over the walking path for customer to enter into the store. Upon checking the location of my vehicle which was resting about 4 inches of the path way, I reversed out and properly parked within the parking lines. As we left our vehicle this white Caucasian kept on harassing my wife and I and insulting my driving skill and we do not own all the parking space.
I believe this white Caucasian is not an employee of the abovenamed store but was well within your property line, I consider this is a discrimination case against Chinese (I am a Canadian over 40 years with 31 years Canadian Federal Government Service). The harassment continues until we drove away from the abovenamed store.
My question to your organization is "Is this a general practice for SDM to allow non employee to harassing senior handicap person loitering within your property lines?"
I can only assume that SDM have a responsibility toward potential customers that will be visiting your store. I also believe that other similar incidents did happened at SDM stores across the country.
My suggestion to your organization is to install additional video camera in front of store to prevent people loitering around your store and to record such harassment toward potential customers.
I sincerely hope that your organization will take action against these persons who may want to harass your customers within your property lines.
Thank you for your attention and anticipating your action. Will likely post this in the Editorial page of local newspaper "The Ottawa Citizen"
Bosco and Julie Fung.

I am going through the same thing except with an Amazon card. I have reported it to the police, W5, CBC Marketplace, BBB, and every complaint site I can find. I have also contacted CTV news, CFRA, and the Ottawa Citizen. They just can't get away with this! If they can't sell a good product they shouldn't even be selling gift cards!
I am going through the same thing with Shoppers but with an Amazon card. They are giving me the same info in the replies I am getting
I’m going through the same thing with a Home Depot card gifted to me. I’m told that my friend spoke with management at Shopper’s head office and was told that it wasn’t their problem. That’s theft! My friend is out $100. That makes me angry. I don’t understand why they sell gift cards if they can’t manage it properly? It should have been a simple exchange as a resolution. Now they’ve just pissed off two customers.
