Reduction in cashiers
Yesterday I was at a shoppers drug Mart in Windsor, Ontario, on Tecumseh Road. At the corner of Banwell.
At the store they have reduce the number of active cashiers to one and increase the number of self serve checkouts.
I waited between 10 and 15 minutes before I could be waited on by the cashier. Because of the nature of my purchase I needed to see a cashier because part of my purchase was for lottery ticket.
The man in line behind me told me he had been in the store the day before and after waiting for a while he got fed up and left the store without buying anything.
In my personal opinion by making it more difficult for customers to check out, Or wait in long lines before being serviced, this is not customer service. Customer service is bad in the store.
In my view, if I am a customer and choose your store as a place to buy a product, I should not have to wait in a long line in order to pay you. You should be available to except my payment without putting me to inconvenience.
This kind of lack of customer service she was total disrespect to the customer. I have spoken to other people about the store and they agree. When they walk in and see what you have done it is a real turn off.
Desired outcome: At least one more active cashier
