I have been a client of Capitec for over two years now.
I have been receiving offshore payments from Dubai for the last year.
On the 16th of Nov'17, my salary for October was paid to my SA account.
Up to now, 23 Nov'17, there is no sign of inward funds, and the Forex call centre for Capitec is useless! The contact no we using is [protected].
We contacted them twice already, and the waiting time is over 20 min's...
Is there no other, less frustrating way to be assisted sooner, and why does it take so long to answer your phones.
I also understand that Capitec are using Nedbank as their assosiated bank to receive foreign currency...,

I've been a loyal customer of Capitec for the last 10 years+.'But will def close my account next week as there is no help from them and customer service is no consistent.(Forex Department)
I started working over seas and that is where my problems started.
I've filled in the Forex paperwork and send it 2 times to the email address given.that was end of March.To today have i received any feedback from them.Ive tried calling them but to no avail as they never answer their phones.
My money has been payed in and proof send to bank but they say they can not do anything as the Forex must be converted and cleared but ja they do not do it.The bank even tried to phone them on several occasions with no answer.
I need my money i have been working for and need to live on here but how.
They very eagerly take their monthly banking fees and on time but will not help you when help is needed.

I have the same problem with them, was 2 x by the branch and phoned forex on their account as i have spent more than an hour on several occasions and sent them 5 emails regarding my salary with no luck at all.
My money is laying at forex but they are not releasing my salary.
Capitec Forex is ruining Capitec Retail's reputation. Not answering phones for up to 40 minutes after I received a message to call them. Not introducing themselfs. Interupting the conversation while speaking. Promise to send a confirmation mail, which they did not do... Then sending me a SMS again to phone them again . Waiting again for 30 minutes before someone answers the call, just to tell me the same thing and promise to send another confirmation mail. Which is still have not received.
Despite my attempts to reach out to the provided number, I have not received any response or resolution to my concern. I understand that sometimes glitches or delays can occur in international transactions, but the lack of response from the provided contact number has left me concerned and confused. I have been attempting to get in touch for 2 days, and I am becoming increasingly worried about the status of the funds. I went to my branch Capitec Pritchard Street, Johannesburg CBD, they also tried but all to no avail. On the contrary they gave me this email address, which I used to write this contact.
I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter. Please assist me in resolving this issue and ensuring that the funds are correctly credited to my account. If the issue requires any documentation or additional information from my end, please do not hesitate to inform me so that I can promptly provide whatever is needed. The cash money is a gift from my brother to use for the repair of my Car.
I value the services provided by Capitec Bank and trust that you will work diligently to resolve this matter as soon as possible. Given the urgency of the situation, I would appreciate a timely response regarding the steps being taken to rectify the situation.
Just change the bank, that is all I can say. This is my final transaction with them. I am honestly fed up because the money is for household usage.
