Capitec loan
Good Day, in August 2021 I went to the nearest Capitec Branch to submit my documents that I am no longer working,
I was told the contract that I have signed states that even if I dont work anymore I am reliable for payment.
How am I supposed to pay back the money when I am no longer working?
also, if theres no job and retrenched at work did it happen as my fault or nature took place?
The Interests keeps on being added all the time and now I am suffering financial wise.
How do I resolve such an incidents.
I need clarity or rather atleast decrease the money and let it stop from growing in terms of the interests.

Hi my name is Crezantia Nkosi I recently opened an capitec account in Bethlehem Free State. I used capitec only for two weeks since I have a business running and money coming in that account. My account was just blocked without any warning as I still had money into my savings account. Went to the branch was told to get an affidavit and certified copy of my id as I did it. Even today I don't have any axes to my bank account. I thought capitec was n better bank. Can you just close my account and give my money back. Close capitec for good
Service delay
I am currently abroad in china. I need to access my Capitec account therefore I cannot use my South African mobile number linked to my Capitec account. I have called in more than three times from the 10,11,12 February at 11/12 pm South African time. I am urgently seeking assistance. I was told that the process would take place 25 minutes after the call and till date nothing has occurred.
Desired outcome: I would like them to finally help me change verification to email as I cannot access my account on internet banking without change from cell phone number to email address.
Capitec app not secure/fraud dept just dont answer
My iphone13 was stolen, the Capitec App was the only App that was hacked and R94000 was stolen. The fraud department are not coming back to me and I have even emailed the head of fraud and CEO and still no feedback, not even a “we are busy with the investigation” absolutely nothing. Really pathetic service, especially since there is a breach in their security. All the other banking app’s were safe. SAPS also confirmed that they are getting these type of fraud cases of the Capitec App on a daily basis. Your money is clearly not safe at the bank

Capitec - Poor services
There was people transferring money yesterday out of my Capitec account without given permission, I phone around 3 o clock the morning to report it. I went to the branch and ask what can they do for me they said that I have to wait 14 days to see will I received my money. They could not even give me more details even if it was under my name. I phone this morning the customer care people to ask if they have found the paper work that was send to them yesterday, I phone 3 times the 1st time the line was bad I did not hear the guy, the second time I spoke to the lady she drop the phone 3rd time I spoke to a lady again to ask what is going on with my account she said that she needs to send a mail to the people that does the investigation they will let me know. I still did not hear any thing from them. They also still can't guarantee if I will get my money, I did not even get a SMS to say that there is money going out of my account not on the app and not as a normal messages.
I phone them again today and the guy could not give more information just that the account that the money went in are a Standard Bank account and not a Capitec account.
It is a very poor services I have to wait for 14 days to see what is going to happen, on the end they can make it a self investigation that you must go and find out who took the money out of your bank account so it means it's a lost case the wont pay you a send back.
How must you trust them again if they cant even tell you more information

My account being blocked
Im very disappointed with Capitec, i sell online watches n i sold to a client and the client clmplained about the time it tookto.deliver thewatch and when it arrived she was nolonger interested . She wanted a refund but instead of telling me she went to Capitec and had my account blocked. I cant use my account or any money i have on it. They instructed me to search and find a client who is at Eastern Cape and never met, they say i must get a signed affidavit from the client and the clients certified copy of ID. How do they expect me to get such while the client don't answer my calls or anything yet my account is blocked. Cant buy my kids uniform or stationery cause of this.

I cannot get hold of Capitec as the calls drop and when i do i can barely hear what they are saying.
I have an issue on my account showing i miss payments and some payments are reflecting as not paid but the debit orders went of automatically by Capitec how is that even possible. Now i cant apply for a loan as it shows i skipped 2 payments which is not at all not the case. Never have i had a problem on my account just all of a sudden there is an issue from Capitecs side and no one can help me resolve it. Its affecting my credit score and it is unacceptable

Been banking for more then 19+ years with you guys and I can honestly say today, it's been no pleasure at all. Never ever have I met a bank that doesn't assist in its clients needs like you. There's no point in sending you emails, all you receive back is automatic generated replies and promises to be contacted back, but you just never receive that contact, not by email, not by phonecall. And your whatsapp service, beyond pathetic... Only now and then a consultant who chats with you actually do care about you and does everything to assist you. Well I guess if you're salary that gets paid in your account is less then r10k per month, you're considered as a "not so important" client right? Why should we assist you promptly, why should we call you or email you back? Oh well, i'm off to nedbank and closing my account with you in the next week!
Don't post or believe anything you read on this page. This is a scam, a fraud. They will assist you via Messenger, send you a link that request of you to enter your Remote Pin...after a while you won't be able to log in to your banking app anymore then they block you! Who knows what's happening in your account after that? Attach is proof 😤😡 Everything looks legit, even their page as well, with the real deal Capitec logo, "employees and managers" of the bank that's posting and commenting, doesn't even look like Photoshop photos on their page.

I have been calling capitec bank about money getting debit in my bank account without my knowledge. And have went police station to do report it still it been continuing I am not the only one complaining about it this I am sure in the bank is fraud happens them still our money on monthly for it has been 230 every month. Everyone in the bank are pushing away no is helping
Fraudulent transaction on my account
on the 27th of August 2021 a fraudulent transaction was done on my account to Luno .My App was showing me error every time i wanted to log in i though nothing of it as it was a month end and it has happened before and then the app returned to normal but by the Monday still showing the same i went to the bank at Karaglen in Edenglen the consultant assisted me he reloaded my app and when he logged in i noticed the money was removed out of my account under my daughters name Aurora R1 500 the consulted called the forensic department and logged the cases i did open a case at the police and handed my affidavit to the consultant and i called twice for feedback and was told i will get a call by the end of the day till now no one has called me back only today when i called the complaints department was i told it was handed to Luno but till now i have no feedback i need to know will i get the money that was taken from my account back or not as R1 500 is a lot of money i really need it.

Today at 12 I made a payment to discount smartphones to buy a phone which cost me R2499. after few minutes I realised that discount smartphones is a scam. Then I decided to call capitec, intead of helpine, they said must report the case and come with affidavit and am at work now. I can't just go and do my personal stuff at work... Any one to help me.

Online purchases - 2 days of system errors
I have been making online purchases for months using my Capitec Virtual Card and normal Master Card Account - but the past two days Its been impossible. I amended my limits having thought that was the issue. After speaking to Client care I was advised that the issue is sitting with Capitec and that it has escalated. The issue now is that I cant do anything.
What is weird for me is that I was advised by Client care that the issue is with Capitec and the technicians are working on it.
My concern is that its been almost 36 hours that I still had this problem.

TERRIBLE SERVICE ON MANAGEMENT
Your management team in incapable of calling a client back and resolving an issue.
I have wasted over R300 worth of airtime trying to resolve a matter and each time (5times) promised it was escalated to management and they would call me back. No one called me back and I had to then call Capitec again and try get the issue resolved.
This is not acceptable and I want to take this matter further!
Each time I also get placed on hold, three times I have been on hold for over 25 minutes and had to cut the call and call back!

I have an loan account with capitec, wich was handed to vvm debt collectors, and payments of 1000rands were debited from my capitec account since 2017 I'm not sure about the month until I got fed up and stopped paying last year 2020 around June, after phoning vvm about my balance because all along I was not getting any statements, I wanted know how much I'm outstanding because I wanted to settle the account, but to my suprise the account balance was still the same unchanged, so my question is what happened to all the money I have been paying for more than two years was scammed by the company that capitec authorized to collect monie from me?pls help I need answers.
Double deduction on loan installment for the month of september 2021
Good day capitec bank made a double deduction for the month of September for the 15th of which I have an agreement with, another debit order went off again on the 20 September 2021, when I informed capitec about the deduction I was requested to submit proof that shows double deduction of which it was provided... When I did a follow up on how far is the process of getting a refund, I told that the IT is investigating the issue, I failed to understand that proof was provided what matter is the IT investigating, why is so difficult to refund the money back since the fault is on their side, the problem is the money that was deducted was meant to assist with the crisis occurred in the family... I'm still waiting for the refund I can't wait to finish this personal loan with capitec...KLM, Pretoria

This bank has a tendency of making double deductions within one month which I see it as a scam, when you notify them they repay your money J to their own bank account yet it was debited from a different bank, this means that the fees for withdrawal or what ever way of utilizing that money will benefit them since they will be charging these fees, this becomes a tendency now and they do this to millions of South Africans, with a fee of R2 they make millions out of this scam, the worst part is when they deduct while you have a low bank balance and get billed by your bank for a bounce debit order as it has happened to me Absa has charged me R150 for this bounce yet its Capitec's bank Fault and they reluctant to pay back this money to their customers.

On 10 September I was scammed by a Capitec Client. I was purchasinf a vehicle from a so called business. The dealer informed me that I need to pay a deposit to secure the vehicle. Afterwards the dealer didnt answer my calls. I immediately called my bank ABSA and reported the fraud. ABSA contacted Capitec to put a hold on the account. More than a week later I am informed that Capitec cant pay me my money back. And there is nothing they can do. I have also opened an SAPS case. To me it seems like Capitec is the bank of criminals and Capitec is protecting their criminal clients. I am sooooooo angry

My husband and daughter went into the Bougainville branch about 3 months ago to get a new card for her. The consultant advised them that I should accompany her because I opened the account for her. Today we went to the Bougainville branch again.
First of all, the consultant did not even greet us when we got to his cubicle. He was straight up rude and not interested in delivering customer service. He did not wear his name badge as well. He then told us that he can not assist us as my daughter needa her id book, which she doesn't have as Covid hit SA in March 2020 and she turned 16 in May 2020. Until now we are still in various forms of lockdown and they can not assist us with an id book. Because of the rudeness that we experienced from him I requested to speak to the manager. His answer ... wait for this ... arrighty. Almost like a 2 year old would reply ...
Upon his return I asked him how long has he been working for Capitec, his answer 5 years. I told him that I can see that because he definetely doesn't want to be there. He leaned over the chair's shoulder and asked me why. I told him because he is rude and he did not even greet us when we went to sit down in his cubicle. He told me and I quote "You're lying" ... wow ehat a way to speak to a customer. (My daughter even made a comment when he left to call the manager ... sjoe, maar hy is ongeskik. For a 17 year old to notice something like that is absolutely devestating for a Banks reputation.)
When the manager came, also no name badge, I wonder why?
I told her what happened and she apologised. I am very sorry ... apology NOT ACCEPTED. I worked in the banking industry for 15 years ... NEVER would I have dared to speak to a customer like that. I was in charged of Customer Service, needless to say ... that type of behaviour towards a customer is NOT ACCEPTABLE ... THIS IS THE QUICKEST WAY TO UPSET A PRETTY GOOD CUSTOMER WHEN YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE YOU ARE HELPED ONLY BEACAUSE OF THE PAYCHECK AT THE END OF THE MONTH.

The manager explained to me that they can not help my daughter and apparently this issue with regards to id books was raised but there is no answer on the way forward.
The manager said that she ordered name badges, however I find it very strange that they do not wear name badges as in other Capitec branches it is compulsary to wear the badges.
I left the branch without any solution of how to help my daughter.
On our way home we read the pamphlet where the branch manager wrote the details od yhe person I want to report ... geuss what, there is another option, her Passport is a perfect form of identification. We are now sitting in Gezina galleries assisted by Collen, what a perfect gentleman and great ambassador for Capitec you have in this man. He is friendly, efficien and helpful. Not only here for the salary .. here for the customer.
I sincerely hope that my complaint will be escalated and my compliment also.
