Capitec Bank Service

The Capitec Bank consultant said Futseg"([censored] u) to me (the client).

Dzile was the guy in the front giving out tickets. I went to get a proof of account, Mom went in first to make transfers to 2 people, after I had finished printing out.. there was probably 4 clients in the bank, Mom sitting on the chairs waiting for her ticket to be called, she asked me to clarify the account numbers as she had mixed them up. As I set on the 3rd chair (keeping social distance) Dzile came shouting at me to get out since I was done with printing out, I asked him to give me a sec because Mom is confused, he rudely told us (Mom &me) that we were suppose to do that outside, we started arguing because I only needed a second to clarify but he wanted me out.. I told him he's being inconsiderate I wasn't gonna take along time, on my way out leaving Mom confused... Dzile said"ay futseg" ([censored] off) I have never been so shocked in my life, I never expected that language from the Bank consultant... I managed to take this picture as he stood arrogantly in the middle of the entrance with hands in the pockets

Absolutely shocking but truly not surprised by any of the employees behaviour.
Half the time they act like they are doing you, the client, a favour by helping you.

Capitec Bank Service

Good day

I work in the DRC. Therefor I need to sign a standing instruction and indemnity form due to the fact that I have moved companies. I changed my address my salary can't be processed unless I phone which is also a difficult task for me. I gave my son full authority on my account only to find out he cant change my address I am sitting in the DRC can't get to a bank it seem like no one understand that.
I mailed the forms which forex will not except due to my change of address . I can't struggle like this every month my salary gets paid late and my debt orders are late because of this. I need your attention to this matter phoning me will not work you can reach me by email H.[protected]@abmdrc.com or [protected]@gmail.com I would just like to know for what reason did I gave my son full authority over my account if he cant solve a simple thing like change of address ? I am highly upset regarding a simple matter like this. I want my son to have full authority over my account he needs to be able to do everything I am not willing to negotiate on this matter, if this can't be done then it leaves me no choice but to move banks. Capitec has been good to me for more than 15yrs, I really feel a small matter like address change is unnecessary. Please solve this and give me feedback.
Regards Hester Follwell

Capitec Bank Capitec cellphone banking

On the 20yh of paril I purchased 10g (r505) telkom data via capitec cellphone banking. The data was never received! I mean how on earth can something like this occur! Is this fly by night? I amvery pissed becaused I even went to capitec branch in calton centre johannessburg and the teller was just useless!
His name is kgalaletsang or something, he took several hours trying to get hold of the relevant people to assist and it reached a point where those very same people hanged up on him while we were waiting for the call to be transfered! This is absurd! Unacceptable! I want my money back! And as soon as these is sorted I am closing it and I will defientely not advise anyone to use it. He gave me a useless reference number and he said I will receive a message, till to day! That reference number is [protected]. Names: tshephang mokgatla julia mashiane.
This has to be solved or else I will escalate the matter! Tired of your poor service!
[protected] is my number
[protected] is the number I purchased the data

I want my money back!

There are no pictures to send, you know very well that your app forbids screenshot! Make a plan and fix this mess!

Capitec Bank Unauthorized debit card

Account Holder No:[protected]
ID number : [protected]
Contact no: [protected]

Its been days since I reported a case of fraud that occurred on my account on the 31st March 2020 which I hold with your bank Capitec, in which I did not authorize any of it or I gave no consent to be performed. The description of the purchase is (Online Purchase: Blo*payerbilling.com [protected] (card 6012) and Posting date was 2nd Apr 2020.

I managed to report the case at my nearest branch within 24 hours and I was told that a consultant will be in contact with me within 3 days or so,

So far days have gone by, with no work and little income or no income that am receiving. I desperately need that money for my needs, it is one of the harshest time globally, the little money that was looted from me I could use it for my essentials during these times, formally for my studies or rather be able to purchase data since universities are going on with E-learning.

I would love you to look into my case and help me as I desperately need your intervention during this desperate times and get refund of the amount that has been taken from my account to be R540, 10 *2 = R1 080, 20.

I would really appreciate a call from you and so that I can corporate with you and I can be able to be refunded and make use of the little money I have for good use.

Capitec Bank Outstanding refund of r14 000. (only r6000 refunded)

Complaint to capitec bank

Re: urgent refund request of r14000 (ref: [protected])
I have been waiting since 18 december for the r14000 to be deposited of which the total sum I deposited was r20 000. I am very irate with bank as whole as it stands because informed the consultant phoned me that I want them to deposit r6000 that they claim to have found at the atm but deposit the whole r20 000. For the fact that they were able to retrieve r6000 from the atm that means the whole r20 000 was there and that someone within the bank took it. On my side I want the rest of the r14 000 deposited as I had informed inga (your consultant) that the money will be used to perform a ritual. The 20 000 was received as lobola and urgently needed to buy things for the ritual that is about to take place at the end of the week. There are too many stories from your consultants and for the fact that they keep changing their stories and I am placing this complaint on hello peter and will go to the daily sun to expose this crime as both my family and the neliswa's are fighting each other because capitec is not refunding the r14000. This is causing grief to my family as they constantly have to defend me (the depositor) from neliswa's (the recipient) family. I will be opening a case at the police station on tuesday as this is now destroying two family. To capitec bank this r14 000 might be nothing but to our families it's a lot of money. I don't have time to wait for january as I have recorded the calls with the consultants and I hate the fact that the branch manager has done nothing to resolve this issue. The family needs this money today (23 december 2019) and no later than that because this has dragged for too long. I will attach the recordings as well and am hell bent on exposing the crooks within capitec via media, social media and will be posting these recordings there as well.

Background: on the 17nth of december 2019, I deposited an amount of r20 000 at the atm in vincent capitec bank branch east london. I asked the consultant that was manning the floor on the day to assist me with depositing the money and she agreed but never came to assist me. Once I inserted the r20 000, the atm jammed and switched off without providing me with a receipt and I immediately informed inga the consultant that assisted with logging the call. I was told that the logged call will take 24 hours to be rectified and that the sum will be refunded after. On the 19th I was phoned and told they have recovered r6000 from atm and I informed them that I don't want the amount (6000) and that they should deposit the whole 20 000 however they went ahead without my consent and deposited the r6000 and not the r20 000 that was deposited on the 17th december 2019, at 08:50 am -8:59 am. Inga (capitec consultant) phoned neliswa and informed her that they phoned head office to clear the money but they couldn't pick it up and that they will send a technician to solve the issue. Inga told me that the r20 000 will be deposited within 24 hours after the technician and g4s has arrived at the branch.

Capitec Bank Personal loan

I am banking with Capitec and wanted a loan as I already did an online estimation. Got at the De Aar branch and was told that unfortunately my company which I work for was not listed on yellow pages therefore I can't get a loan. Now the question is, is it a new law that your company that you work for needed to be listed on yellow pages or what is it? I thought Capitec was someone better to bank with but no its not. Funny enough they don't reject the money coming into my bank account from the very same company which is not listed on yellow pages. Mind you its a registered business.

Capitec Bank Deduction taken without consent or my acknowledgement.

On the 31 of October at 1:30 ive noticed that ive received a sms notification that an amount of R1199.99 was deducted from my account. I immediately contacted the Customer care line, and unfortunately due to me not to be able to confirm my old telephone nmr they were unable to assist me .
I had no option but to go to the Metlife Mall branch to inform them that this was infact a scam/fraudulent transaction done, and that it was to be reversed. I filled all the necessary forms and was advised that this would be investigated and I would get a call from capitec with in a day or two.

Today is 8 working days later I have also contacted the call centre who advised me that they cannot assist me . Kindly treat this matter with urgency and ensure that the amount of R1199.99 in dispute is credited back into my account ASAP.
I can be contacted on [protected]/[protected] failing which, I will have no option but to take up with Ombudsman
Kind regards - Micaela

Capitec Bank Forex foreign payments

I am currently working abroad but I still have payments to make in South Africa, The first month I knew it would take longer because forex had to contact me to make the payment. On this call they informed me that after the call a transfer will go through immediately. I then transferred the next month and it did not go through immediately and now conveniently they do not answer their phones. I was on hold for more than half an hour. I am so disappointed in such horrible service.

Capitec Bank Bank overdraft without my consent

Last year I stopped working and started studying around about March, so I stopped earning an income basically. Then two or three months down the line I get a call from Capitec Bank saying that I've drawn out money from my account (that I had no money in to begin with), an amount of R10 000 which I had no knowledge of whatsoever. I started looking for my bank card everywhere and realized that I don't have it so I immediately informed them that my card was stolen. I have been struggling with getting my fees for school, transport money, grocery money sorted over the past year, i have now had to ask family members or friends and ask them to receive money on my behalf and it's been a tedious procedure. All because there was money taken out of my account, which I didn't have in my account to begin with, so anything that will go in that account will be taken by the bank then I must be repaying them for something I didn't do. I didn't authorize that, and as far as I am concerned if they are the ones that gave that money away as they should've been aware enough that as their client I have no money in my account how can I withdraw a ridiculous amount like that! That on their part they should've picked up as fraud and frozen my account rather. Now I'm sitting with a negative amount in my account and I'm still a student I cannot afford to be paying that back I'm not in a position to do that, and even after exams next month if I would like to find something part time to help towards my studies then that money will go into that account and be taken by the bank. I cannot be paying back money that I didn't use!

Capitec Bank Loans

My name is Mogatusi Salphanius Teme, ID no; [protected], Capitec Bank client.

I have a personal loan with capitec and was at some point under dept review, however, i volunterily withdrew from the program and inform all my creditors.

The challenge I'm currently encoutering with Capitec bank is that I've tried to pay all the earrears that were outstanding at capitec after withdrawing from the Debt review program and requested them to start debiting directly from my account but the answer i got was that they cannot do anything on my account until they get an instruction to from court to remove debt review on my name despite the current Credit Report. I also explained to the consultant that i'm no longer getting paid on the 15th as per contract but on the last day of the and requested the payment date to be changed of which they also refused.

The Consultant further advised me to make monthly transfers onto my account to ensure that my account is kept up to date, which is what i did but after sometime i realised that my efforts of paying the account was actually not benefiting me at all but the bank since i was paying at the last day of the month and the loan payment date was the 15th. This actually made me realised that I'm pouring water in the empty bucket because my account was always in arrears and every month i was paying the arrears not the reducing the outstanding amount hence i decided not to pay for sometime and that took my account back in arrears.

Therefore i would like to lodge a complain and request assistance in this matter as im not happy that im not paying and also that my account is contantly accumulating interests.

Capitec Bank Debit order

Dear capitec. My mother transferred r500 in my bank account. I went to spar to buy some food and so on just when I was about to pay I recieved an sms saying r549.20 was transferred from my bank account. I phoned the customer care line and they explained to me its my personal loan that went of. Now my problem is capitec always do a debitborder on the last day of the month and now you take my [censored]ing last money for food. The lady also told me they cant reverse the debit order but previously they done the same thing. Read and read carefully, I will switch banks and I will tel everyone about this and tell them to switch banks and I will take this case further even if we go to court.

Capitec Bank Customer service

I spoke to a lady by the name of vanessa she was not helpful at all, I have a query regarding my account and as she was assisting me she kept on saying omg like she is tired of my questions.. I thought customers were important but I guess I am wrong.. If it was a branch I would maybe understand but a whole customer care agent.. She is there to assist no matter how many times I asked questions.. Firstly I called with my airtime and my phone why must she think she can do that.. Lack of empathy its painful trying to get help and someone has no intention of helping
Very disappointing attitude really.

Capitec Bank Consultant uninformed and discussed my information with everybody in bank

I went to the bank to get my Credit Card limit increased as I needed money to pay for my Grandchild to get medical treatment as he is very sick. She insisted that I take out the loan which I qualify for, and I kept saying no it's to expensive, I just want to increase my Credit Card limit.

She made a copy of my payslip and saw the Company made a typing error with my surname, showed it to me and said, I must come back with correct payslip or employment confirmation letter. She took my cellphone number said she will call me to find out if I am still interested which she obviously did not. Why take my Cell number? I went back the very next day. She first asked me if I thought about taking the loan, which I again said no, I will not be able to afford the big payback amount. She took my paperwork (Confirmation of employment letter), jumped on the phone, came back and said, the Credit department said I must get my employer to wright a letter stating that they made a spelling error with my surname on my payslip. My employer corrected my payslips, but could only print my payslip from Jan to June 19 as there was a problem with the system. She just said they can not help me until my employer sends a letter. I am utterly disgusted with this. I informed her that it was a emergency, for my grandchild and that she must please help as I need the money. I have been with Capitec for years, if it was really a security issue they could see on my transactions that I was getting paid by this company. They could have taken the details and phoned the next day to confirm my employment or even inquired about the typing error with my surname. The typing error was a S in my surname instead of a Z?

When I started walking out, she took the copy of the paperwork and started discussing it with 2 other consultants and her manager who was standing there, while the customers behind them turned around to also listen. This is embarrassing and totally unprofessional.

Capitec Bank Loan application

Went to capitec this today to apply for a loan, consultant called Faith (no name badge) told me he cannot process loan app because the company I am working for is not allowed to apply for loans at capitec.Very bizzare, he went on to phone my company before any application was done. As if not enough, he started asking me questions regarding my FNB bank statement which was in overdraft, he said he does not know what an overdraft is. I asked him to call his manager, calls someone called Lebo cleary not his manager. Both the two were very rude, I explained that I have 2 other capitec accounts with them and they didn't even bother to check. Is this how capitec intructs its workers to treat customers from other banks.
After sitting in the bank I finally speak to Millicent the so called branch manager without a name tag, who had cleary made a decision not to review my payslip and bank statements. I literally forced her to go onto the system and search for my company. She says the company was not listed so chances of me getting a loan were very slim and she clearly stated that the company was the issue, then later on changed her tune to say the bank statement and the payslip were the issues. I v never seen such incompetent bunch of workers. I asked the manager what she will do about the issue, she said she will deal with the worker.
Me and my son have been using capitec for the past seven years and I v never been so disgusted with the service. Thats how us customers are treated in a banking institute, we are treated like bok droll. .. I am taking this to radio 702 and all social media .
I opened accounts for all my workers to bank with capitec and this is the way they treat us.
I wanted them to write down and state the reason for refusal to even start the loan application, they clearly refused, I gave them the opportunity to apologize, they were not interested .
