Customer service
I called this morning at 10.30am and spoke to Sheriff and asked her to put me through to the Kia Parts department, the call returned to her and she said she will ask Jolie to give me a call. I called again at 14h32 to ask to be put through once more and the call just rang and was hung up. I called again at 14h35 to inform her that the call was hung up she attempted to put me through again, when the call returned to her she asked for my details so they can call me back but I informed her that I called in the morning and was still waiting for someone to call me back. She asked what my name was and upon telling her, she read out my mobile number and told me she will ask them to call me back. I told her that I will wait for their call and so I did. I called Cargo Motors Klerksdorp once more at 16h56 and spoke to Sheriff again and she attempted to put me through but the call was returned to her once more, she asked me for my number again and upon telling her that I'm still waiting for a call from them and she told me she will ask Jolie to call me back and she confirmed my number with the one she has on her. It is now 17h08 and I'm assuming that they are closed. I'm very disappointed at the service I received from Cargo Motors Klerksdorp, I was expecting a lot better than what I got today.
Desired outcome: Better Customer Service
I am complaining about service.
I am complaining about a Sales person his name is Bion. I called to order a part and he said that he would send me the banking details so that I pay the part before they can order it. I struggled to get this information from him for two days and it cost me plenty airtime by calling persons at cargo motors and they try to help me get hold of him but he does not answer. I am very dissapointed in the service I got. After a struggle for two days I got hold of a person called Willem and ordered the part from him on his personal number. He wasnt even the person supposed to be assisting me but he called me back and helped me with great service and he was very kind and patient in assisting me.

brake repairs
I booked my car for service & brake repairs at Cargo Klerksdorp on the 31st August 2017. They refused to service my vehicle & told me that it's too early & still had 3 200km remaining before service. I then left my vehicle for brake repairs although I was still not happy about the issue of them not servicing my vehicle. When I collected my car I've demanded a document to see exactly what repairs they didin my vehicle, the lady told me that my brakes still fine they just cleaned them.
To my surprised the same noise pop out again on Saturday when I was on the road to Johannesburg, the sad part is my vehicle was still under warranty at 99086km & now it's over 100 000km it looks like they did it deliberately knowing exactly that my vehicle warranty was due to expire. Cargo must still fit in New brakes as my car was still under warranty when I booked it & they didn't do a proper job.
Service
I have a A170 series and on the 9th February 2016 I booked it in for a service. The kilometres on the clock is 134, 780. Before the work had to commence I requested a quotation for the work to be done and I was horrified to learn that the cost was ± R13, 400.00. I could not believe this for a SERVICE. When I started scrutinising the quotation they are charging me LABOUR for things like "engine & engine compartment clean, extra work replace dust filter, replace brake fluid, remove and install 4 complete wheels" and this is just to mention a few. And each line has hours of work of 5 hours, 6 hours, 7 hours. On the first line of the quotation is "18 hours Service B perform up to code" for R1431.00 for labour . Now surely all these extras like taking off the wheels to replace brake pads is included in the 18 hours. Since when does a normal service take 18 hours. Then I also get charged extra hours for all the extras. This is madness. I send through a proof of payment from my bank and they would not release my vehicle until the monies showed in THEIR banking account. How can you operate a supposed to be professional business like this. I feel that I have been OVERCHARGED for this service and feel for the price that I have had to pay for this service that they should have released my vehicle. This will be the last vehicle that I will purchase from Mercedes Benz. With these ridiculous prices I will be forced to approach another make of vehicle for my next purchase.
Extremely dissatisfied customer
Service
Good day Sir/Madam
I took my car to the Cargo Motors Klerksdorp on the 28th of October 2014 following my complain to the Motor industry Ombudsman.
They called me the following week around the 5th of Nov 2014 notifying me that they don’t see any problem. I told that lady that they must fill up the diesel tank and see that it’s going to lick out from the engine.
Its when they now saw that I was telling them the truth. I got the call the following day from Cargo where they informed me that now the oil is licking and the diesel tank problem which will cost about R24, 000.
As far as I know, I never got any message that indicates that the oil is licking or what so ever. They informed me that the diesel problem will therefore be resolved in about 2 weeks.
After a week, they called me again informing me that the car does not want to start, the ISM (which costs about R8, 500) needs to be replaced. The car never gave me any problems when starting. Because I needed the car, I told them to replace the ISM as I really need the car. They informed me that the car will be ready in 3 weeks.
Now, 2 weeks later, I am expecting to get my car next week, they just called me now saying that the car needs something to do with the ignition and its R8, 800.
This is not right at all. All these does not make any sense to me. They are recovering the cost of the damages they did/made.
I totally disagree with everything here. This is exactly the case where they take advantage of customer who does not have knowledge about mechanical issues and/or racism because i am black (note that i noticed how they treat the black staff there and i know many things happening around that Cargo Motors industry dealership) and/or they recovering the costs for the damages they made. If the nobody or the Motor industry ombudsman does not help me in this matter, then I will keep on taking this problem further as i am not the only person. Everybody is complaining about the services there more especially us black people. We are also human. If you don't solve this problem now, it might be too late to do that while so many people would have been suffered.
