The 'team' arrived ovr 1 hour late, one member left within an hour of arriving leaving one guy alone for the majority of the load-up.

When a replacement eventually turned up, they both admitted to us that neither even worked for Carlin Brown and were just helping as they were busy.

My partner and her mother had to reassemble the bed as one remover couldn't do it properly. I also had to assist with the lifting as one mover wasn't able to.

When we raised multiple concerns to Carlin Brown we were offered 1/6th of the total cost refunded and told verbatim:

"At the end of the day the removal was completed and there was no damage to any of your belongings"

This is their standard. If you're looking for a premium service that you can relax about, look elsewhere. You'll pay premium for nothing more than a man-in-van service.

We're currently escalating this to Trading and Advertising standards. They need to be held accountable for their unprofessional behavior.

I gotta say, steer clear of this company, mate. It's a real shame, but we got stung with a full removal service charge for our move on the 27th of March, and what we got was a right shoddy man and van service, if you can even call it that. Turns out, the blokes who showed up ain't even proper movers, they ain't affiliated with Carlin Brown and they're just doing some dodgy cash in hand work. Can you believe it?

To make matters worse, these movers were a whole hour late, and the main guy was on his lonesome for most of the packing. It took 'em a whopping 3.5 hours to load everything up, even though they had the cheek to tell us it wouldn't take more than two. And get this, we ain't got any big appliances or owt, we're just moving from a tiny flat. Can't even imagine how long it would've taken if we had more stuff!

When we finally got to our new place, they had the audacity to ask us to help 'em move the furniture. I mean, come on now, ain't that the opposite of what we paid for? We were promised a stress-free experience, but it was anything but. I'm genuinely worried for anyone who chooses to move with this company. They might end up with the same shoddy service and entrust their belongings to a bunch of untrained, unprofessional folks.

And here's the kicker, mate. Not a single one of 'em bothered to wear a mask or use hand sanitiser. And since they had us lending a hand, social distancing went right out the window. It's a right mess, I tell ya.

I was actually convinced to go with Carlin Brown 'cause of all the glowing reviews and the friendly chat I had with this bloke named Mike. He made it sound like we'd be in good hands. But let me tell ya, it was the complete opposite of what we were promised. We tried to sort things out with this Andy and Mike, asking for a partial refund 'cause of the lateness and the fact that we didn't get what we paid for. But they flat out refused, mate. So now we've gone and escalated the whole thing to trading standards. Can't let 'em get away with this rubbish.
