I came to Carrefour to dispose my empty bottles in SPARKLO recycle machine. I look for manager to ask about the machine.
I met Anil and ask about the machine. He said it is currently full and someone has to collect all the bottles. I asked when the machine got non-operational, and if the machine is ready for operation, who we can contact. He said nobody. While I was trying to understand and ask more question who I can contact in the "area" in order to know if the machine is ready for operation again, he started to butt in and raising his voice to me saying "Are you angry?" showing some kind of threat and seems got irritated with my queries. I told him, "I'm not angry but you should know how to listen". He said that SPARKLO machine is not his responsibility and to immediately finish our conversation, he confirmed to me that the SPARKLO machine will be removed due to several complaints. He said that even the machine is within the Carrefour vicinity, Carrefour staff and even "he" himself is not responsible to this machine as this belongs to the government.
We are DG tenants and this machine helps a lot to declutter our home from bottles. It is frustrating that the Carrefour Store Manager displays some kind of arrogance to customer and does not know how to deal with queries. And he confirmed that the machine will be removed. And it seems that that he does not care about the machine and customers.
