Unauthorised debit order
I had a 3 year contract with them, but after almost 2 years, my car stopped working. I called them for assistance, but they gave me 2 choices, either pay the cancellation fee or continue. I continued as that was the cheaper option. In the final year, just few months before my 3 year term was to finish, I called them again, in hopes that they would have reduced the fee, but no luck. I told them that my car was still broken down and that I didn't need it this service anymore, but to no avail.
I eventually finished my 3 years, which was in December 2022, but to my surprise, they came to debit my account again in January 2023, of which I reversed it and when they called me, I explained to them that I was done. They then told me that my account was now on a month to month up until I cancel. This shocked me cause these are the same people I've been calling and telling them that I didn't want nor need the tracking system.
They claim to be recording our conversations, but each time I asked them to go back to listen to it so they could clearly hear me saying that I didn't want it, they just kept on telling me that it was escalated to the relevant department.
They continued debiting my account and I continued reversing it, whilst waiting for them to answer that truly they heard it, but they have been stalking my account, and because they have debited twice in a matter of 10 days, I can't reverse it.
I don't owe Cartrack any money. I honoured my 3 years, with tears, and I believe that they should be professional enough to refund my money and close my account.
Please, I need your assistance. This is wrong for them to force their services on people, when they say 3 years, it must be that, until the customer states otherwise.

Ax a result of this Cartrack kept on calling me to settle my account and unfortunately I continued making payment using the wrong reference number. I came to the realisation that I made to many payments and paid over R1000 extra because of this. I have been contacting Cartrack and sending proof of payments to the WhatsApp but unfortunately ism not receiving any help.

Hi I'm Junior recently signed up for your tracking service on Wednesday I stressed the sense of urgency with the call center agent that was assisting me and he assured me that the device will be installed at my earliest convenience even offered for it to be installed that day however I was unable to commit as I was still at work and had not fetched the car from the dealership but told nonetheless the technician will contact me before the end of the day to schedule an appointment I was very impressed but to my disappointment the agent is yet to contact me I called in today to request an appointment and was scheduled for today till now nothing has happened I'm very disappointed with the service and I'm really concidering another tracking company as I did mention that this is a replacement car for my car that was stolen from my house and I mean the axact model and make hence the sense of urgency but still that wasn't enough now I'm signed up for a non existent tracking system and should anything happen it will be as if I have no tracker I followed up later this afternoon and was assured that the technician will come but was not given a time frame not only did I spend the entire day waiting for one and I'm to assume that you guys will be vigilant in looking after my car while you are taking your time in just installing the unit this is by far the worst service experience I have had with a service provider worse the one that is supposed to be monitoring my car I'm very wary of continuing with you and will definitely tell my friends and family that recommend you that perhaps at the time you were the best but in my eyes your are the worst and surely have reached your client threshold as judging by this experience you are genuinely not interested in signing up new clients I'm very disappointed in you guys

Vehicle tracking
Cartrack is much worse than Telkom, which is a significant achievement!
The equipment that Cartrack installs in the vehicles of their customers are so unreliable that they have to make their customers contractually responsible for checking that the unit is operation. Cartrack confirmed in writing that they are unable to determine if the installed tracking unit in my vehicle is operational unless I phone them and ask them to test the unit. This is inconceivable considering that it is the year 2023. If you are a Cartrack customer, you are actually working for them to check if the inferior tracking unit that they have installed in your vehicle is in fact operational, whilst paying them for this service. The tracking device that was installed in my vehicle had to be replaced twice in a 3 year period. Each time the installer left dashboard screws on the carpet inside my vehicle that I had to personally screw back in place to prevent everything from rattling. They will therefore not be provided an opportunity to ever touch my vehicle again. I have tried endlessly for the last 5 months to cancel the contract but they continue to bill me because I told them that I will not pay the early cancelation penalty. They are unable to track my car and they are not at all willing to offer me a different tracking option either that they are willing to test themselves, without making it my responsibility to do so. I was actually accused (in writing) that I did not test the unit often enough, implying that it is my fault that my vehicle could not be tracked when I asked them to do so. Cartrack is now phoning me nonstop because I am reversing the monthly debit orders. I have told them many times that I will not speak to anyone because I prefer to resolve the matter in writing so that I can also have a record of the correspondence but they simply do not care and continues to call. Whatever you do, do not sign a contract with Cartrack!
Desired outcome: Cartrack needs to cancel the agreement as requested in December 2022 without any penalty. I will reverse their monthly Debit Orders until they do.
Cartrack failed to pitch for appointment.
I have been a cartrack client since 2016, i bought my other car in December 2021, and fitted the tracker immediately. On the 11 April 2023, I discovered that my vehicle lost GPS coordinates on the 24 March 2023 that means defective device. I was told that my tracker is out of warranty, and I have to top it up with R30 every month. The appointment was set and due to safety and not having an enclosed area, the consultant suggested we replace the defective device at the local police station over the weekend. Various consultants called me to confirm booking, and I have asked them to provide me with details of the technician. All promised, I will get the details latest a day before the appointment which never happen. The day of the appointment, I drove to the police station and no one came, I started calling the maintenance department and all consultants promised to return a call with whereabouts of the technician. After an hour, I receive a call from Cartrack to apologies on the inconvenienced and they want to reschedule for another day.
I am frustrations with cartrack, because I was forced to take a day off to accommodate the appointment, drive to the police station (fuel) and time waisted waiting for a Technician.
Desired outcome: Cartrack to take responsibility of what happen and how will I be compensated in these regard.
Accounts department
In 2020 due to covid i lost my job. I fell behind on my cartrack account. After the first failed debit order this company has phoned me up to 10 times a day. When starting a new job a year later cartrack has been taking debit orders successfully and with a increases amount to cover the outstanding. Still 10 calls minimum a day. i am at the point of laying criminal charges of harassment against cartrack in respect of this. I have asked them numerous times to stop calling me and deal with me trough mails or sms. They falsely state that i am backlisted with them that is not the case. All misleading and false criminal accusations. This company has the lowest level of customer interaction to my knowlege and must be brought to the larger publics attention. As anybody unknowing takes a contract with this company should know what they are letting them in for.

I have been a client for the past 5 years. I went to download the app just to see that my cars are offline. When I called the customer service (after getting transferred 9 times), the consultant told me that there is no signal since atleast 2 years ago. I have been paying for 2 cars with no signal with an old system (according to the consultant), I was just lucky nothing bad happened orelse they will just blame it on me.
I was about to add my third car, I guess I will be removing 2 cars instead.
The consultant told me that the manager will contact me. NOTHING YET...

Cartrack - Service, customer service, and products.
I Have been a client of Cartrack for 3 years and still am. They are due to be paid on the last day of the but sometimes people forget. On the 1st (Saturday) they " Reagile Mokwena @ Cartrack disabled the service. Which was done without warning. This actions then caused us the inability to assist a foreign tourist assistance in locating them to provide roadside assistance in a very dangerous area. However despite payment being made. Over 3 days later after payment still have not reconnected the access, several emails sent to this particular person with no response. I believe she has taken her job title to her head. And doesn't understand the fundamental principles upon which business relationships are maintained in this country. Sadly I will be looking for an alternative company.
Desired outcome: My service that I paid for to be sorted out.
Cartrack device not functioning and not getting assistance to resolve this.
For the last 5 months my cartrack device is not functioning. I have been in contact with cartrack on numerous occasions and I am now tired that I am getting no joy. Each person I speak to states they will book the vehicle in for maintenance but when I call again they tell my the next person has not booked it in. This is continuously occurring and I am been billed monthly for a system that is not functioning. Cartrack can go and listen to all the recordings of my call.
Desired outcome: This device needs to be fixed asap and I need to be reimbursed for the the time I am paying and this device is not functioning.

They installed the device on my bmw 318is there in 2021 there after my wiring harness melted took my vehicle to Bosch and they confirm that it was indeed car track technician that messed up

During this month 03-2023 had a call from some lady from cartrack. We arranged R175 payment every month for 4 months. So the 24th of this month their 99 went threw on the 25th 175 went threw and today 28th 218 that I have canceled goes threw. What the hell is going on with this company so now I want my money and I don't need their service any more and they must come and take their unit. [protected] zakhele is my name. I'm scared of them. Cartrack service
I have been with cartrack for 4years now. December 2022 i took my battery out i never recieved a call or any notification whatsoever. I called their customer line and it keeps on ringing no answer. I repeatedly took my batterry out and still nothing. The only time i was communicated to was when i reversed my debit oders. They called and the only thing they were concerned about was that i pay because i was in areas. I explained everything to them and that i wanted to cancell. They want me to pay before i cancell. Their overall service is very poor.
Debit orders not changed and incorrect amounts
It’s been two months now that I can’t get them to switch my debit order from the first to the 5th. I have made 1000’s of calls and emails (which they don’t respond to). This month again it went of on the 28th of Feb. Now it was returned twice because they decided to try again on the 4th after I said it can’t be before the 5th. They cost me R420 in unpaid debits in two months. The amounts they give me then to pay is more than twice my original amount. I am fed up to say the least. When I requested to cancel my contract they said sorry you have to pay R700 and never sent the cancellation form. I have mailed client services, the ceo and ethics department. No one even bothers to answer.
Desired outcome: I would like to cancel my contract and not pay the R700 as I requested or else I will let my attorney get involved to get my unpaid debits’ money back.
Cancellation of services
IV contacted car track from last year November to cancel my subscription the consultant then told me I agreed to a 3 year contract with them witch I requested a telephonic recording of this witch they cannot provide me with after 4 months and still debating my account with no feedback to regarding my issues they wanting me to pay 3500 cancellation fee but cannot provide me with proof of my conversation and still awaiting feedback from them regarding my matter stated to me that if I do not pay I will be listed but cannot give me piece of mind or any feedback regarding my situation I'm much disturbed over this as IV spoken to 3 consultants and a supervisor of this company to send me my Voice recording of our agreement
Recovery warranty
Took out recovery warranty tested quarterly aug 2022 and dec 2022, warranty claim rejected due to unit not tested on a quarterly. Proof that the unit was tested prior to the warranty claim.
I would not recommend them to anybody, due to hidden clauses.
I have been a client with them since 2015 never skipped a payment, vehicle was never recover and they never gave me any feedback (recovery rate is based on units and not vehicles)

Car tracker installation
After the car tracker was installed on my car, my lights started malfunctioning.
Only the dim and bright lights are working. I have called cartrack numerous times and informed them about this, but they keep on saying they are escalating my matter and they will call me back and assign a technician to come and check what is wrong.
Up until now I have not received any call from them.
This is the service I did not sign up for. They were after me with calls after showing an interest on their car tracker, but now that there is something they need to fix they are not attending me.
What will happen if my car gets stolen? Will they even try locating and recover it if they cannot solve a simple query as such?
Desired outcome: I would like car track to come and fix my lights.

On Monday 02-02-2023 at 21:00 I was involved in an accident in Bloemfontein at Harvey avenue at Brandwag and my vehicle was towed by the towing company, because I was admitted at the Hospital. I contacted my car tracker after 2 days to locate where is my vehicle but they told me that they can not locate where is my vehicle. I then keep on calling them to inquire about my car but they could not tell me the where about of my vehicle. On the 24-01-2023 I called them but they do not know anything about my vehicle and they do not bother themselves to locate it. There only thing that they know is to debit on my account. There service of car track is very poor and I do not wish anyone to join this company, because they use fake unit and car track is a [censored] company.

Incorrect installations
I have enquired about Cartrack units in beginning of November 2022 for 2 vehicles. We were told we need the start prevent as well need to fit the units costing R199-00. First unit installed 07-11-2022 without prevent start unit? I immediately enquired and were told they will arrange for the installation. Second vehicle was done 08-11-2022 same as the first vehicle? Ever since I am battling to get correct answers from Cartrack and my issue still not resolved? I have reversed the debit orders that went off in November until such time that my issue is resolved. I got told on 2 occasions that I will lost warranty on my vehicle should they fit the start prevent function this could also not be provided in writing. Can you please assign this issue to a Manager in your business to assist? I am not getting any feedback from Cartrack? I do have all my correspondence on e-mail.

I've cancelled the contract with them after my 36 months contract ends in October 2023. They continued debiting my money and I reversed it because I've cancelled the contract now they sent me letter of demand saying I owing them 2400. They are scammers . I tried to called them for several times they dnt answer their phone. They forced me to pay them even I've cancelled the contract.
Please assist me with this issue because they are saying they will blacklist me
