hiring practices seem unfair
My complaint is about carvana hiring practices. I applied a few days ago to drive a single car hauler. That is a non CDL vehicle. A few days later I got an email saying that they had found a better candidate and that I did not meet the qualifications. There's a couple of problems with that number one I have a class A license for tractor trailer so I'm actually overqualified furthermore I have three years long-haul truck driving experience in a class B straight truck. I also have a clean MVR I have a clean criminal background and a DOT physical that is good until October 26th 2020. The other problem with the email saying that they had already filled the position is the very next day I saw where they posted an application for that position so a statement that they had already filled the position is untruthful. The only thing I can figure is they did read my LinkedIn profile and decided to discriminate against Me based on age because they can see the year i graduated high school and or gender because they can see that I'm female.
Now they do ask if you have a bachelor degree for this position and I beg to differ. You do not need a bachelor degree to drive a non cdl single car hauler. furthermore the pay is $11 to $14 an hour and so who in their right mind with a bachelor's degree would accept that pay for that position? I do have an associate degree however and I would bet a dollar to a donut that every person they have on staff as a single car hauler does not have a bachelor degree. That is problematic as well.
