Carvana CARVANA Drives me crazy STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS

Their was nothing positive about my car buying experience with Carvana. In fact it was the worst experience in my life as far as buying a car.

In June of 2022 I took delivery of an 2013 Audi A4 Quattro that I paid $20,000 cash, I tried to return the car within the 7 day test drive because of undisclosed issues with the vehicle. They said that i could exchange for another so i picked out another car that wouldn't be ready until after the 7 day exchange allowance which they said they would extend so that i wouldn't be without transportation and they would pick up the Audi when they delivered the other car, when the delivery date came and went and no call text or email was sent to me and i called the said that the exchange had been deleted for some unknown reason and asked why I didn't want to keep the Audi and when i told them they ask if i would be willing to keep it if they fixed the problems and i said sure as long as they fixed the issues which one of them was to put 4 new tires because they had replaced 1 tire before i got it and with an AWD car you must replace all 4 tires at the same time because of tred wear and patern as to not ruin the AWD system. was told no problem so I kept the car. when I took the car to Firestone to get new tires Carvana told me that I had to file a claim with purchased company to get the work done come to find out tires are not part of the warranty so the claim was warranty, and my customer denied from advocate quit taking my calls. while they continued to shuffle me around to different people and gave me the run a round the car had a shuffle engine fail and was taken to a shop that they said was ok to replace the motor, the shop wanted to put a new motor in the car but Silverrock said they only had to put in a used motor, the shop didn't want to be responsable for a used motor they would for a new one so Silverrock sent them a used engine that they purchased shop installed and it was bad so a second motor was sent and installed but there are issues with it now it has been 18 months and i still do not have purchased car.

Recommendation: Do not buy or sell to these crooks

Carvana Spent too much, they wouldn't take care back in 7 days & bald tires they won't pay for.

I honestly can say that I have not had anything positive happen in my interaction with Carvana. They would not take the car back within 7 days. They charged me much more than I should have paid, and the 'warranty' that they pay for stuff expired in 45 days, not 100, so I have been stuck with $1000 for tires, while I will also have to buy brakes and who knows what else.

They answer the text all cheery, but they can never help. All they do is waste your time and say they are sorry but can do nothing. I honestly hate them. I found out the owner is a felon, which doesn't surprise me.

I felt very apprehensive about buying a car myself, and this experience with Carvana has been my worst experience possible. When I picked up the car, it took 5 hours to get their computer to work properly. The whole thing just makes me so sad, and I really wanted this car to begin with. Now, I have thoughts about torching it on fire so I never think of Carvana again. They really don't even deserve 1 star, but you can't give them zero.

Recommendation: DO NOT buy a car from Carvana! I found the same care with 50,000 miles less & 2 years newer for same amount of money as this thing that has bad tires & brakes that they won't fix.

Update by Ann Marie Hoff

I PURCHASED A CAR FROM CARVANA ON 10/17/23. IT took over 5 hours to get the computer working that they were using, and so I did not leave the facility until 9 PM. I did not even see the car during the day. They told me i had 7 "free" days to try out the car & use it. Then I knew I didn't want to keep the car- the tires were bare, the brakes squeaked. I found two cars that were the same make and model- but 50,000 less miles and 3 years younger FOR THE SAME EXACT PRICE. So I was obviously bringing this car back. However when I want to return the car they said the 7 days were already over- that they counted the 3 hours i had the car on 10/17 as a whole day. THat I was stuck with the car.

This made me hate them & hate the car, not wanting to look at it or drive it- they got more money for a broken down car then they ever deservd & they played me.

Today, the car had a low tire. I took it to discount tire, and they told me the tires were so bald they couldn't refill them. But that Carvana paid for new tires so no problem. Yet when we called siverRock to pay for the tires, they said that i was 4 days too late to get them paid for. I also need alignment & new brakes on this car. This is a nightmare. DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA!

Carvana Dishonest and rude

They seemingly approved my loan application, took thousands of dollars from my bank in downpayment, and forced me to buy an insurance policy. I then waited for several days with no response other than that the delivery of my car was on track. They finally texted me on the weekend and gave me 3 hours to complete some kind of "extra income verification" by providing them with tax returns. When I couldn't do that, they cancelled my order and offered me no help on how to regain the money I paid for insurance. The "advocate" I talked with online - a person named Valentina - was also incredibly rude and blunt. What kind of car dealer takes your money and then refuses to honor the loan contract?

Carvana Carvana borders on a scam

My car was not delivered on the date(s) promised. Customer service refused to update me on the status of the car until 3 weeks into delivery process and the car was already 2 weeks late. Customer service consists of excuse robots and canned responses regurgitated from the corporate script. The worst customer experience I have suffered through in my life, and I am old.

Carvana borders on a scam. If it cannot guarantee delivery, doesn't track its shipments and refuses to provide any information about weeks-long delays, it should be legally prohibited from operating as a business.

Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated for the time and inconvenience of being deprived the use of the car I purchased last month.

Recommendation: Stay away

Carvana Carvana Review: Over-Promise, Under-Deliver

Well, I had a pretty rough experience with Carvana. I know, I know, I should have listened to all the bad reviews. But I thought, hey, maybe it won't happen to me. And at first, things seemed great. I found the car I wanted for a decent price and was able to have it delivered for free at a time that worked for me. Plus, the whole online process of buying the car was so much better than dealing with used car dealerships and sketchy individuals.

But of course, things started to go awry. Two days before the car was supposed to be delivered, I got a text saying it would be delayed for 10 days. And when I called to complain, they just kept apologizing. It was like their motto was "over-promise, under-deliver." After a lot of phone calls, I was finally able to arrange to pick up the car myself. But then they tried to charge me $500 for delivery, which was supposed to be free. More phone calls, more apologies.

Then, when I was actually driving to pick up the car, Carvana called to say it wouldn't be ready for another week. I was so frustrated, but I decided to keep going and hope for the best. And thankfully, we did get the car that day. But on the ride home, I noticed it had some issues and had to get it checked out by a mechanic. One of the front wheels was badly bent, which I had to pay to replace myself.

In the end, I did get my registration and title, and I even got the promised $250 and $500 reimbursements. But it was a huge hassle and not worth it. I think I'd rather deal with used car dealerships or individuals, at least I know what to expect. Carvana just made me feel stupid for buying a used car. And please, Carvana, don't bother trying to apologize - I don't think anyone takes your apologies seriously anymore.

Carvana Buyer Beware: My Frustrating Experience with Carvana and Undisclosed Damage

I recently had an upsetting experience with Carvana that I want to share with others. I purchased a 2018 BMW X1 28i with 24,545 miles on it from Carvana on 3/31. However, shortly after purchasing the car, I noticed a check engine light displaying. I took the car to an approved repair shop, Monro, and they found multiple issues, including signs of flooding damage that Carvana did not disclose. The car was then in and out of shops for weeks as I attempted to address the issues with Carvana and their warranty and insurance providers.

It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. I was told conflicting information by different representatives and was given the runaround by Carvana. While I eventually got a new car, it was not without hassle and expense. To make matters worse, I am still paying off the BMW loan while waiting for Carvana to pay off the first loan so I can get a new loan. This has impacted my credit score and may even affect my ability to get a loan for a home in the future.

I understand that sometimes things can go wrong with purchases, but I caution anyone considering Carvana to be aware of their practices. They sold me a car with undisclosed damage, and then made it difficult for me to address the issues. Their customer service reps were not helpful, and it felt like they were just trying to get out of paying for the repairs.

In conclusion, I suggest that anyone considering Carvana should do their research and proceed with caution. My experience has been frustrating and costly, and I would not want others to go through what I went through.

Carvana Warning: Terrible Experience Dealing with Carvana: Lies, Delays, and Incompetence!

This is going to be a long review, but I have to be honest and warn you about Carvana. Every aspect of dealing with them has been awful and they suck. Their advertising campaign of being easy and breezy is false and total BS. They should change their slogan to "We'll drive you crazy and lie to you" because that's what they do. They'll lie and if you call them out on it, they'll say you were just misinformed.

Let's start with their chat feature. It's terrible! You never know who you're talking to and they all give different information without reading what was previously said. It's like starting over every time and it's infuriating. They blame it on a switch to another agent if you don't respond within 10 minutes, but what about when an agent takes more than 10 minutes to respond?

I went out of my way to get a loan and purchase insurance for a car I found on Carvana. I entered all my information, including loan and insurance details, and was told it was being held. However, the car was suddenly gone and someone else was buying it. Carvana said it was their error, but I had to get another loan on a different car.

Then, I found a second car and after entering all my information again, I made sure it was being held while loan approvals were being worked out. However, things weren't as they seemed. We were going to trade in our old car, but when I uploaded the title, I was told it wasn't valid because it had handwriting on it. I had to go to the DMV and pay for a new title that could take up to four weeks to arrive.

Trying to figure out whether to pay the remaining balance or wait for the new title, they gave me an extended hold. However, Carvana failed to inform me that it would completely change my delivery date and it was delayed by over 10 days. I asked if I could pick up the car earlier, but they said it would reset my entire purchase and lose my delivery date.

When the car finally arrived, it had dings and scratches that weren't listed on the website. I went over the issues with the driver, who wrote them down and took photos, but Carvana stated only four were submitted. It went back and forth with the local detailer and insurance company for weeks until finally resolved a month later.

The temporary license plate expired and I was supposed to receive my paperwork and plate before it did. I was told by one person that I could log into my dashboard and print out an extension plate, but when I tried, I couldn't. They said it wasn't possible and I was misinformed. My paperwork arrived two weeks late with no plate, and I was told I had to go to the local DMV to take care of it. I was charged $1300 in fees and taxes that I'd already paid to Carvana. They were supposed to send me a check if they couldn't provide a plate, but they admitted it was missed. When I followed up, I was told it would take 30 days to be approved and another 10-15 business days to arrive.

Each time I specifically requested a supervisor, I was told one would call me back within 24-72 hours, but I never received a call. Their customer service is terrible and every aspect of dealing with Carvana has been dysfunctional and horrible. They said I was being misinformed and their on hold music is terrible. Avoid this company!

Carvana My Experience with Carvana: Convenience Comes with Caveats - A Comprehensive Review

So I decided to try out Carvana despite reading some terrible reviews. My experience is ongoing, and I will update this review as time moves on.

On February 1st, 2023, I placed an order with Carvana to pick up a vehicle on February 3rd, 2023, from one of their locations. Unfortunately, the pickup was cancelled last minute, and I had to take a $100+ Uber ride to the car's location, which was 42 miles away from my home. I was fuming because I took off work for this and did not want to pay for shipping. After expressing my disappointment to Carvana, they apologized. However, I was still upset, so I cancelled my order.

Despite the frustration, I saw another vehicle on the Carvana website that I really wanted, so I reordered it. However, this time, I pushed the date out by a week to allow them time to get the car in stock. Three days before the scheduled pickup, Carvana called me and said that I could pick up the car earlier because it was already at the pickup location. So, I went two days early instead of three.

Luckily, the Carvana representative at the pickup location was friendly and took me outside to discuss the vehicle's details and to examine the car before signing any paperwork. I found the car in almost pristine condition with low mileage, except that the tire pressure was low, the windshield wiper fluid was low, there was a small chip/crack in the windshield, and the original rugs were missing.

I documented all these issues by taking pictures and videos, and the Carvana representative immediately sprang into action. He called a local tire shop, and they fixed my tire, checked all the other tires, and topped off the windshield wiper fluid. He also informed me that he would file a claim to get the windshield fixed using the warranty and order new rugs.

After signing all the necessary documents, I left the pickup location, and here's where the issues began.

As an owner of a Tesla, I understand electric vehicles fairly well. However, when I tried to charge the Carvana car at multiple charging stations, I kept getting error messages. Although eventually, the car was fully charged, and I did not raise a big fuss at the time as I had the 7-day money-back guarantee, the 100-day warranty from Carvana, and a 35-month warranty from SilverRock.

After one day of no response from the Carvana representative, I reached out to them to support.

I also reached out to them about the windshield chip issue, and they referred me to SilverRock, which unfortunately did not have mechanics who could work on electric vehicles. They directed me to a dealership, who claimed to cover up to an hour of diagnostic time and would need to contact SilverRock to proceed with repairs if necessary.

I had to schedule the dealership appointment for the 14th of February, 2023, which extended my 7-day money-back guarantee. I do not want a car that has serious issues that I did not cause, and I would prefer for the dealer to look it over and see if it could be fixed through the warranty.

I informed Carvana about this issue, and the representative promised to send in the claim to get the windshield fixed, but never did. Carvana claims I never told them in person about the issues I found, but I had photographic proof which I showed them. The representatives said nothing concerning the videotaped conversation with their representative.

This deception disappointed me gravely and was unacceptable.

Furthermore, during the process of swapping the vehicles, the car disappeared from my Carvana account and was posted back on their website as available for purchase.

The representative assisting me with the swap seemed uninterested in hearing my concerns and merely transferred the whole deposit from my first car to my second car without checking with me.

In conclusion, I advise anyone purchasing a car through Carvana to document everything. Take pictures, videos, and screenshot every chat message. Scheduling deliveries about a week after shopping allows enough time to rectify any potential issues before making the final purchase.

Inform Carvana of any issues as soon as possible, and the 7-day money-back guarantee can be extended until the vehicle gets fixed, making deciding easier.

If the responses received through chat or speech are not satisfactory, reach out to multiple representatives and officials until a resolution has been met. Do not accept just apologies.

Consider purchasing the extended warranty despite it being expensive; it will be useful once Carvana's 100-day warranty lapses, and it can also be added to the car loan. Use the 100-day warranty in the first seven days as required.

Research and favorite other vehicles from Carvana's website just in case the car you receive does not meet your expectations.

Overall, Carvana's convenience is unbeatable, but there are some kinks to work out. If you despise pushy salesmen, Carvana provides a stress-free car-buying experience. But if you have bad credit, the interest rates may be higher than usual. I plan to visit the dealership on the 14th of February to sort out the charging issues, and I will keep updating this review accordingly.

Carvana Disastrous Experience with Carvana: Delayed Delivery and Incompetent Customer Service

OMG, I had the worst experience with Carvana! Let me tell you, it was a disaster from the beginning. Okay, so I applied on April 8th, and it's May 19th now. Can you believe I'm STILL dealing with them? It was all so easy at first, almost like shopping on Amazon. I uploaded all my paperwork and even got approved for financing. But then, everything went wrong.

First of all, I live in Pittsburg, NH, which is in the middle of nowhere. I asked for direct delivery because I didn't want anyone to have to give me a ride to a pickup location. But Carvana made it seem like pickup locations were only in big cities like Boston or Pittsburgh. That wasn't going to work for me. Plus, they promised 5-15 business days for delivery once I was approved. But even though I got approved just a few days after applying, they kept delaying and delaying.

I had to keep calling them just to get any information at all. And even then, they were giving me the same answers over and over again. Finally, someone told me that my car wasn't even at the inspection location yet! If I hadn't kept calling, I wouldn't have my vehicle delivered until who knows when.

But it gets worse. They finally inspected my car and I thought everything was on track. But then they told me that I had to pay an extra $600 for delivery to my remote location. And every time I asked when it would be delivered, they couldn't give me an answer. They said it would be within 5-15 days, but I was already way past that point.

I was so frustrated that I finally said I'd just pick it up myself. They told me to go to Manchester, NH, which is a 3 hour drive from my house! And then they changed the delivery date multiple times, making it impossible for me to plan anything. This whole process was a nightmare.

Finally, after all those delays, I got my car delivered. But even then, they were still making demands and causing problems. At first, they said everything was good with my new address and my documents. And then they turned around and said they needed more proof of residency! I didn't have any, of course, since I'd just moved. But Carvana wouldn't listen. They kept making me jump through hoops and send them more information. It was ridiculous.

In the end, I got my car, but it had cosmetic issues and some other problems. And I had to take it to an approved repair location to get it checked out. But even now, I'm dealing with Carvana and their incompetence. They say they don't have my registration documents, even though I filled them out and signed them at delivery! It's like they're just trying to make my life harder.

I'm never using Carvana again, and neither should you. Their customer service is terrible and they keep delaying everything, making it impossible to plan anything. It's not worth the hassle.

Carvana Disastrous Experience with Carvana: Buyer Beware

Greetings everyone,

I purchased a 2014 Jeep Cherokee in excellent condition from Carvana on January 25. I was impressed with the convenience of using the vending machine to retrieve my car, a black on black beauty. However, after taking it for a test drive, I noticed some odd noises and received an overheating message on the dashboard. Additionally, I noticed some improperly repaired bodywork. Despite these issues, I decided to purchase the car under the condition that Carvana would be responsible for covering the necessary repairs.

Over the course of the first few days, I took the car to a mechanic for a thorough inspection. The coolant hoses needed replacing, and there was a bad wheel bearing that required fixing, which was covered by Silverrock, the warranty provider. Although the initial problems were addressed, I still heard strange noises while driving, so I had it looked at again. Unfortunately, the mechanic found that the car needed a new driveshaft.

Furthermore, I noticed that the paint on the driver's side door and fender had an odd sheen, and the gaps between the panels did not line up, indicating that the car had been in an accident. Carvana and Silverrock agreed to pay for the necessary body repairs, but before the work could be done, the car broke down, and I had to have it towed to a mechanic.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that the transfer case had been previously replaced with a junkyard part, and only one out of three screws had been used to secure it, which caused the remaining screw to snap off, leading to further mechanical failures. As a result, the car now requires a new transmission and transfer case.

Unfortunately, Carvana refuses to take back the car or provide a replacement vehicle. Instead, they offered to buy it back from me for $4,000 less than what I paid. In conclusion, my experience with Carvana has been disastrous, and I caution others to avoid using their services to avoid losing an immense amount of money.

Carvana Carvana Review: Overpriced Markup, Non-Negotiable Prices, and Ethical Concerns

I recently had an experience with Carvana and was disappointed with their car buying service. I had a 2012 Toyota Camry SE in excellent condition that I was looking to sell, so I contacted Carvana for an offer. To my surprise, they offered me only $7,644 for my vehicle, despite the fact that the Kelley Blue Book value was $12,142. I did some research on their prices and found that they have a vehicle similar to mine with 5,000 fewer miles listed for $14,990, which seemed to be an exorbitant markup.

What's more, Carvana refuses to negotiate their prices, leaving customers feeling cheated and taken advantage of. As someone who has spent 20 years in the car business, I know the value of fair pricing and believe that Carvana is doing a disservice to the public in their profiteering approach. The overall rating of 1.69 stars on the Consumer Affairs website is not a good indication of their customer satisfaction levels - with complaints around customer service and next-day problems being the most common.

Moreover, preceding his role as the CEO of Carvana, Ernest Garcia III was already wealthy in his own right and had full control of the company. Previous history regarding his father's fraudulent activities only adds to the questionable reputation of Carvana. In 1990, Ernest Garcia II was involved in a fraud scheme for a real estate deal and received a felony bank fraud charge. Another instance came up in 1999, where Garcia was sued for allegedly "abusing his position to profit" from a real estate deal where he ultimately acquired 17 company properties at a 10% discount. The history of fraud is not only concerning for the company but also raises concerns about the ethical responsibility of the CEO.

With a net worth estimated at $15.9 billion as of April 2021, many believe that Carvana is participating in unethical business practices. Complaintsboard.com had a total of 2,498 complaints in the last three years alone, which should be taken as a warning sign. Moreover, Carvana was also sued for operating in California without a required dealer's or transporter's license. All these factors raise questions about the company's reliability and trustworthiness.

In conclusion, my experience with Carvana left me feeling uneasy and unhappy with their pricing and buying tactics. I advise everyone to do their research, read customer reviews, and be cautious when conducting business with them.

Carvana Carvana Review: Convenience Comes at a Cost with Delayed Registration and Unresponsive Customer Service

Carvana is a popular online dealership that offers a car buying experience that's different from the traditional process of visiting a dealership in person. While purchasing a vehicle through Carvana offers a lot of convenience, it can be accompanied by a lot of inconveniences as well.

The reviewer has shared their experience of purchasing not one but two cars from Carvana. Their first purchase went relatively smoothly, except for some glitches in the delivery of the signed contracts. However, with their second purchase, troubles started surfacing.

The reviewer narrates how they had to constantly follow up with Carvana representatives to get their vehicle registration accomplished. Each time they contacted Carvana, they would receive different information from different representatives. Their temporary tags expired, and they had to rely on Carvana to extend it, but every time they contacted them, they received no clear response.

The reviewer also points out multiple issues that their mother faced with Carvana after purchasing a vehicle. The delivery of the car took a while, and it was without any notice. These issues escalated as the reviewers narrates their latest purchase, which has been an "absolute nightmare." They have spent hours waiting on hold to speak with a representative, only to be given canned responses.

The reviewer has been waiting for two months to receive their registration documents, without any hope of getting it anytime soon. Their temporary tags have also expired and they can't renew them until Carvana sends in their registration paperwork. Carvana representatives have not been helpful, simply repeating an automated response about Covid-19 causing delays at the DMV.

The reviewer warns potential Carvana customers to be careful, saying that Carvana charged them for VIN inspections, SMOG, and other fees that they should have completed before selling the vehicle. The reviewer has given up on trying to contact Carvana to pay for the small issues their vehicle is experiencing because they don't have the patience to sit on hold.

In summary, the reviewer believes that Carvana is an excellent platform for buying a car at a reasonable price and having it delivered to your doorstep. However, it comes with its own set of challenges, like delays in paperwork processing, unresponsive customer service, and involuntary financial expenses. The reviewer even goes on to say that Carvana is only suitable for people who are willing to put in hours on hold to get the right answers they deserve.

Carvana My Frustrating Experience with Carvana's Delivery and Paperwork Process as a Mobility-Impaired Senior

As a 71-year-old with mobility issues, my experience with Carvana was not very positive. While they did technically do everything they promised, it required a significant amount of effort and patience on my part. One major downside was the delivery of my SUV. I was given a 2-hour delivery window, but the driver called me at 9:00 a.m. while I was at the doctor's office to say he was already on his way and would deliver the car at 11:00 a.m. This posed a big problem for me, as I had a rental car that needed to be returned later that day and needed a friend to transport me to my destination on time. Despite my best efforts to rearrange the situation, I had to scramble to make it work and ended up rushing around all day, completely exhausted.

To make matters worse, when I eventually met the driver at 11:00, he was just sitting in his truck with the air conditioning running and texting. He had no explanation for why he was nearly two hours early and didn't seem to care that I had rushed to meet him. I ultimately drove away feeling completely inconvenienced and frustrated by the whole experience.

This was not the only issue I encountered with Carvana. Before delivery, I was told that all the necessary paperwork had been signed and I was good to go. But at the last minute, I was informed that more paperwork needed my signature or the car would not be left. This led to several long phone calls and a lot of wasted time trying to sort out the problem.

Once I finally received the SUV, I found that it was described accurately and was in good condition, but it didn't have enough power for my needs. I ultimately returned it and got my money back within a reasonable timeframe. However, the overall experience was so frustrating that I would never consider using Carvana again or recommending them to others. As a consumer, I felt like the buying process was out of my control and required far more effort and time than I ever anticipated. If you're in good health, local dealerships may be a better option for your car-buying needs.

Carvana Carvana Review: Frustrating Purchase Process and Awful Customer Service

My experience with Carvana was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. While the idea of trading for a new vehicle and having it delivered seemed fantastic, the actual purchase process, registration, and title transfer were a total nightmare. The customer service provided by Carvana was awful, exacerbating the already stressful situation.

I initially traded in my vehicle and received the new one, but found that I did not like it after a day and canceled my order. When I requested a new vehicle, I was informed that it would be delayed due to a hurricane. I decided to keep my original vehicle, but when I tried to pay it off and get the title, I was met with a series of delays and unhelpful responses from Carvana and their finance partner, Bridgecrest.

Despite repeatedly requesting to purchase the vehicle and pay the outstanding balance, I was sent back and forth between Carvana and Bridgecrest, with no clear answers or information provided. They eventually offered to email me a PDF of an Arizona temp tag, which caused me to be pulled over by the police. Even the DMV was unsure whether it was legal to operate the vehicle like this.

After a month of trying to find a resolution, I had enough and resigned myself to purchasing a new vehicle from an actual dealership. I asked Carvana to take the old vehicle back and give me the money from my trade-in, but even that request was denied. Their customer service was consistently unhelpful and made me feel like I was to blame, even though the issues were with their own processes and systems.

Finally, I had to take a day off work to go car shopping and purchase a new vehicle, as I couldn't wait any longer for Carvana to figure things out. As of the time I left this review, I still hadn't received a resolution or contact from Carvana since my last correspondence with their customer service.

I am not alone in my experience, as I have seen similar complaints on the complaintsboard.com and other websites. Carvana's response to my review was to direct me back to their unhelpful customer service representatives, which only added to my frustration. Overall, I would not recommend Carvana due to their poor customer service and lack of resolution for issues like mine.

Carvana My Disappointing Experience with Carvana: Lack of Transparency and Poor Customer Service

Let me tell you about my experience with Carvana, an online car dealership that seemed perfect when I first signed up. The convenience of their online platform was great, but I quickly realized that their prices and interest rates were higher compared to Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds predictions. Despite this, I decided to go ahead with the purchase as I urgently needed a vehicle and I was stressed out. After finalizing the sale online, I received confirmation of the order and delivery date within 10 days. I was contacted by staff multiple times through text, email and phone calls to confirm my purchase and delivery. I even reached out to them to update my autopay settings and they were helpful.

On the delivery date, I left work early to pick up the car which was 30 minutes away from my house as they claimed that they were outside of their delivery radius. Unfortunately, no one showed up for the delivery and I couldn't reach customer service. After two and a half hours on hold, I finally spoke to a manager who informed me that my car was sold to someone else due to an error on their part which they didn't notify me about. They offered to search for another vehicle for me but I was emotionally and physically exhausted at that point. In the end, I decided to buy another vehicle which was priced higher than the first one and had to take a bus for 17 hours to pick it up myself.

When I picked up the car, everything went smoothly and they even apologized with a $50 Visa gift card. However, a few days later, I realized that the Bluetooth connectivity which was advertised was not included. Also, the trim level was lower than what I had been told and priced at. I reached out to Carvana and they offered a $500 apology check but still denied the pricing mistake. It was obvious that they were more focused on making as much profit as possible.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend anyone to use Carvana for their car purchases. They lack transparency and did not make sincere attempts to rectify their mistakes. I will never do business with this company again and will advise everyone to avoid them.

Carvana Warning: Do Not Buy from Carvana - A Loyal Customer's Frustrating Experience

As someone who has been a loyal customer of Carvana for years and has made 11 purchases from them, it is with great sadness and frustration that I must warn others: do not buy from Carvana. Despite our long-standing positive experiences with this company, a recent purchase on January 28th, 2022, shattered our opinion of them.

The vehicle we received was leaking oil and required a staggering $10,628 worth of repairs. It was not only unacceptable, but also unsafe to drive. Additionally, after 50 days, our previous trade-in has not been paid off yet. We attempted to replace the initial purchase with three other vehicles, but each time we received a notification on the day of delivery that the vehicle was undeliverable due to various problems ranging from engine lights to brake malfunctions.

We tried hard to work with Carvana and made sacrifices in what we wanted in order to purchase a car from them. Even after providing Capital One with all relevant documentation, including images, emails, and texts, our loan has still not been paid off. We were left with one vehicle, forcing us to use Uber as a second means of transportation. While Carvana did offer to compensate us for our costs, it took them six weeks to finally pick up the inoperable car from our garage.

The dismissal, disingenuousness, and disrespect we experienced with Carvana was unfathomable. Executive Resolution team member Lena was particularly rude and threatened to return our trade during our last conversation with her. Previously, she had apologized and promised to send us $750 for our Uber transportation and frustrations during the purchase - a promise that was never fulfilled. We have recorded all the conversations we have had with Carvana to ensure that we have all the facts straight.

Our experiences with Carvana have also led us to believe that their vehicles do not arrive clean or on time. Furthermore, they appear to have a very high percentage of their vehicles declined upon delivery and returned back to their inventory. Our trade has remained sold for the past three weeks, adding to our frustration.

Overall, we cannot emphasize enough that you cannot trust Carvana. They may not follow through with promises and may even add additional conditions. If you are looking to purchase a quality vehicle and have a positive car buying experience, we urge you to go to a local dealer - despite their tiring sales tactics - rather than risk being trapped in Carvana's deceitful and unprofessional dealings. We miss the dependable, trustworthy, and understanding Carvana of old, and it is with deep disappointment that we write this review.

Carvana Excellent Car-Buying Experience with Carvana: Reliable Cars at Great Prices and Seamless Service

I recently purchased a car through Carvana and I must say, it was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a car dealership. The entire process was not only seamless but also enjoyable. The customer service was fantastic and the deal was a great value.

When I began my search for a new vehicle, I was looking for a reliable car that came with a reasonable price tag. I came across Carvana on consumer reports where they had plenty of options for every budget. What impressed me more was the detailed photographs and videos of each car alongside the car fax report. It gave me the needed assurance that I was getting a quality car. Also, the pricing was very competitive, especially considering the inflationary pressures.

The best part about the application process was that there were no hidden fees. What you see is precisely what you pay for. There was no deposit required, and no payment was needed until I decided to keep the car – which was a great feature. The only thing I suggest is to decline the Carvana protection programs if you are looking to save money as they do add a fair amount to the total.

The delivery was seamless, and the car arrived within a week of submitting my application despite the weather conditions. I received excellent communication on expected delivery times, and the delivery advocate even offered to come an hour earlier if I was available, which was a convenient option for me. The advocate was friendly, quick, and efficient in getting the car off the trailer. The temporary plate was already on the back of the car, and the paperwork was minimal. The process was clear and transparent, making it easy for me to sign a few things, including the temporary title and registration, which was valid for 90 days.

The seven-day test drive is a great feature that gave me ample time to decide whether to keep the car or not. I took the car to my mechanic, and it checked out well. Carvana also handles most of the paperwork for getting the permanent title and registration. On top of everything that has already been mentioned, they even gave me a gift bag of key chain, holiday cards, air fresheners, chocolate, Nutella sticks, and a cup.

My sister had a similarly great experience with Carvana when she purchased her car, and they even went the extra mile by rewarding us with a referral bonus for recommending their services. Overall, my experience with Carvana exceeded my expectations, and I recommend them very highly.

For first-time buyers, I recommend that you call, chat, or email them if you are confused about the process or have any questions. It is also a good idea to read the car fax report and research any recalls the car has had before purchasing. I further recommend that you take the car for a general inspection by your mechanic during the seven-day period to get an independent opinion. Overall, Carvana offers great value for anyone looking for a reliable car without having to visit a traditional dealership.

Carvana Avoid Carvana for online car buying: A terrible experience with delayed delivery, unclean car, and DMV issues with no proper resolution

Everyone knows how frustrating it can be to purchase a car, and online car buying websites like Carvana claim to make it easier. However, after reading a review of the website, it seems that this is not the case. The reviewer had an awful experience with Carvana, and recommends that everyone avoid using the website.

The first warning sign was when the reviewer placed a deposit for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma in January, only to discover that the truck was being 'evaluated' and not yet available. At the same time, the reviewer put their 2015 Mazda CX5 up for sale and was offered an extremely high value. After opting for a trade-in, the reviewer was notified that the delivery would be delayed. And so began the long and arduous journey of trying to get in touch with anyone from Carvana who could explain what was going on. The car was delayed another two times, and it was eventually discovered that it had been damaged in transit, which further delayed delivery.

The reviewer was then told that the car had not passed smog, which meant that the sale would not go ahead. However, after reprogramming the computer, the car finally passed smog and was delivered. Unfortunately, it was not properly cleaned, which led to a further $100 being offered in compensation. The reviewer then spent 30 minutes filling out DMV and sales information, after being told multiple times that they did not need to do anything else with the DMV. The reviewer later discovered that Carvana had not notified the DMV of the sale, and they were subsequently hit with a $400 late fee.

After contacting Carvana's "Executive Resolution" team, the reviewer was promised overnight payment of $500 in compensation, but this never happened. When they tried to use Carvana's online web chat, they never heard back from the rep who took their information. Finally, after speaking to a customer service rep for an hour, the reviewer was transferred to a supervisor who was dismissive of their problems and offered no help.

In summary, if you are considering using Carvana to buy a car, don't. Their 150-point review is patently false, and they will not handle paperwork properly or take care of everything as they claim. The level of personal time required to deal with their "Executive Resolution" team is extensive, and you'll have to repeat your entire story every time. Carvana may seem like a fast and modern way to buy a car, but traditional dealerships might still be the better option.

Carvana Disappointed Visiting Scholar Shares Frustrating Experience with Carvana Purchase

Bin Li, a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina, has had a disappointing and frustrating experience with Carvana. What was supposed to be a simple process of purchasing a car online turned into a months-long ordeal filled with delays and broken promises.

Li had entrusted his niece to purchase a used car for him from Carvana, but was met with multiple delays and rescheduled delivery dates due to what the company called "transportation issues". Eventually, Li found out that the delays were actually caused by an algorithm in Carvana's computerized system, and his car was only 122 miles away from his home.

After finally being informed that his car was at the Reconditioning Inspection Center and had issues with the dashboard lights, Li was frustrated and worried about his purchase. However, when he asked for details on the problems and the company's plans for the future, Carvana did not respond.

Desperate to solve the issue, Li attempted to negotiate a special discount to replace his order with a new equivalent one. He argued that Carvana was obligated to compensate him for his losses due to their default on the delivery and that the company could recover the cost of the discount by repairing and reselling the problematic car. Unfortunately, Carvana refused to negotiate, leaving Li feeling locked into the deal with no consumer rights of selection.

Li's experience with Carvana was not only frustrating, but also disheartening for his family. His son had to walk alone in the wintry wind after school, making the situation even more difficult for his loved ones.

Li's complaint to the Attorney General's Office of North Carolina went largely unanswered, with Carvana arguing that their 7-day Money Back Guarantee gave them the freedom to delay delivery without consequence. However, Li argued that Carvana failed to deliver a car they could not actually deliver, leaving buyers like him harassed and confused by the company's messy messaging system.

Overall, Li's experience with Carvana was one filled with hope, disappointment, and anger. He plans to continue fighting for his family and other consumers in court, hoping to bring justice to those who have been treated unfairly by the company's flightiness, irresponsibility, and nonchalance towards buyers.

Carvana 2014 subaru purchased from carvana

Several months ago I purchased the above car from carvana. I paid almost 17,000 for the car. I did not purchase extended warranty because I assumed at that price I was getting a decent car. I have driven the car less than 6000 miles and now I am told there is a leak that will damage the engine if not repaired at a cost of 5,000. I am asking carvana for compensation for this repair. They are not going to do anything. I cannot afford this loss. I took out a loan on the car. It is obvious this car was not checked out before being sold to the public. I should not have to pay for Carvana's negligence.

Claimed loss: 5,000.00

Desired outcome: I would like compensation for this amount.

Carvana Camelback lincoln service department

I purchased a vehicle from CARVANA, April 2021. I have only driven the vehicle 18987 miles. Regular maintenance like clock work. Like a clock that does work mind you. The engine has failed. It's also a low mileage vehicle . CARVANA / SilverRock have side stepped the issue. The BBB and Attorney Generals office have been contacted. I have been without an operable vehicle since July 2023. "Petition to file a Class Action" is well overdue! If there was a negative rating bar, I'd rate CARVANA -5!

He told me that oil change hasn't been done in quite some time I told him when I bought the car, I did all the Maintenace needed but. He said the was alright bad when I received it. Carvan didn't a good job taking care of the car. They do just enough for the car to pass. Dealership said I need a new engine the is $16k. This is total lemon & the care is useless. I am glad I kept all the Maintenace records from day one. I had 2 Cadillac dealership & 2 repair shops, and they said the say.

Someone needs to hold accountable for their actions. If they are willing fix their major problems, then shut them down completely. The don't deserve to be in business. We don't have that kind of money to throw around. Can someone do something. Other states class action lawsuits 11/21/23 8:19pm

Carvana Buyers Beware

Why is it taking so long for anyone to respond to our complaints about Caravan? I don't hear about the crooks at Carvana. Someone needs to hold them accountable for their actions. Someone needs go to their facilities. The DMV should send people over there to see what's really going on. I believe they don't do any 150-point inspection. I bought a 2011 Cadillac on May 4th, 2022, and started giving problems later that year and the Representative told me it is what it is. The facilities said I need a new engine. I should not be having this issue. It's been in the Dealership for 3 weeks and counting. I think that someone should investigate their facilities wherever they do business. A few customers in different states are having the same as me. Good morning customers that have a complaint against Carvana.

If you should get a lawyer if you can. I found out that I have Legal representation through my union. I didn't even know that until a co-worker told me about it. He said that is included with your union dues. If you are not sure ask your Union rep. Shop Stweart or your HR Dept. If you do decide to from them, please do diagnostic within the first 7 days. You can't trust because you don't even know if they do that. They do just enough to get the car pass. You don't even if it passes inspection Who knows what they do at their facilities. They should do a full investigation on all their facilities.

I bought a Cadillac SRX May 4th, 2022, 15 months later I had to replace the water pump the belt twice know 2 Dealership & 2 Repairs shops are saying that I need a new engine and they said that car had a poor Maintenace issues before it got to me. Most of the time you can't trust CarFax because it's not always accurate. I have spent thousands of dollars on this car.

Carvana Purchase of 2020 Porsche Macan from Carvana

Purchased a Porsche from Carvana 10/23/2023 two weeks ago. Found out today car needs over $4700 of work, alignment, 30K tune up service, oil change, brakes need flushing, problem with tires. This should have been done before sold to me, and I never got any definitive answers about issues during purchase. Car had 32900 miles when I bought it so these things were over due. Took car to certified Porsche service dealer today and found out all these issues. Carvana refuses to help with the cost and will not pay anything. I never would have purchased car and traded my previous car to them if I knew this up front. They say they completed an inspection but did not acknowledge doing any of the needed services.. I paid out a lot of money less than 14 days ago and now I am faced with these costs I cannot afford. Please call or email me for help and advice. Today is 11/6/2023

Claimed loss: $4700. Their inspection and certification did not address any of the issues. The last known service on car was May 2023 for purchase of some tires and nothing else.

Desired outcome: I want them to at least pay for the 30000 mile service which includes brake system flushed. $2000. I will cover the balance

Carvana Vehicle purchase offer

I received an offer on my Tesla model Y for 46600 which I had already submitted all of my documents for and then I went to the website to check what the car would be worth in a different color and they changed my offer to 39300 and refused to reinstate it despite it being an obvious mistake and they also didn't provide any warning that the offer would be overrided. This is so messed up that I won't get the offer for a simple inquiry. Totally ridiculous.

Desired outcome: Reinstate my original offer

Carvana I won't do business with them you will regret it

We all should take them to court and file a lawsuit. They need send inspectors to their facility to check what the hell is going at those places. The BBB should step up and give a poor rating. I bought my 2011 Cadillac SRX May 4th, 2022. Now I need a new engine. The customer service starts off ok, but you have a problem that's when the nightmares begin really bad. They rush you off the phone and then it goes all down here from there. We all should come together and challenge their practices.

Claimed loss: All THE REPAIRS I NEED TO DO

Desired outcome: Replace it or take it back.

They should do this in every state that Carvana is doing business in.

CURRENT ALERTS FOR THIS BUSINESS

Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct::

the Michigan Department of State v Carvana LLC

The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.

On October 7, 2022, Carvana LLC has been summarily suspended by the Michigan Department of State. The suspension settles allegations that the business failed to make application for title and registration within 15 days of delivery for 112 customers since agreeing to an earlier probation extension; committed fraudulent acts in connection with selling or otherwise dealing in vehicles where the business employees admitted to destroying title applications and all applicable documents pertaining to the sale of three vehicles that were sold to customers. The business failed to maintain odometer records, improperly issued temporary registrations, failed to have records available for inspection during reasonable or established business hours, possessed improper odometer disclosure records on which the odometer disclosure had been signed on behalf of the purchaser, and violated terms of a probation agreement 127 times. The department is seeking revocation of the dealer's license.

This action is final.

I still haven't heard any from the crooks at Carvana. My car is still the dealership going on 3 weeks. I think they need to do an inspection on all Carvana facilities. Who know what goes on there, no countability? Who knows if my miles were roll back? This is a very serious matter concerning the way they treat customers. If you need to shut them down, then do it.

MAYBE EVERYONE SHOULD GET A LAWYER.

ZERO STARS ONE STAR IS TO MUCH

I bought my Cadillac May 4th, 2022. October 20, 2022, I made a complaint, and he told it what it is. Snice then I had to replace the belt the water pump and now they are telling me ai need a new engine.

The repair shop said this 2011 Cadillac had problems it just started coming to light now & now I need a new engine after 15 months. I believe they don't do car inspections. They should be held accountable for their action. They need to investigate all of their facilities and close them down if they can't do the right by customers. Nobody got money to throw around. I haven't heard anything yet; I think everyone should get a lawyer and sue them. Beware of Mileage rollback

Of course, they have 30 complaints and none of them have been address. They should go out of business because that don't care their customer's. In 17 months, I need a new engine. Can someone help us all out? I have spent thousands of dollars on this 2011 Cadillac srx

I bought this 2011 Cadillac May 4th, 2022, and ever since I have spent $1,000 of dollars & now the dealership is saying that I need an engine. It's been the shop 3 weeks with no end in sight. A few dealerships & repair shops said the sad the same thing. They said this car was not taken care of it before it got to me. I have records of everything that was done in car 11/11/23 11:58am

Never buy cars here especially high cars it will cost you dearly. You will truly regret it. These stories from all the customers are true because I am going through it. You better off going somewhere else. Remember you can't always believe in the CarFax because not every repair shop scans your car. My 2011 Cadillac which I bought on May 4, 2022, has been in the dealership for 3 weeks they said I need a New Engine. A few repairs shop said the car was not maintain probably. 11/11/23 12:16pm

I don't believe in some of the review. I bought my car in May 2022 since then I have done a lot of repairs. Dealership is telling me I need a new engine. I believe they don't do any inspections. Don't buy any luxury cars over 70k miles you will regret it.

Save yourself some time. Don't buy from them. So, of these cars have problems that's why they give a long warranty because the car will fail. Everyone should file a law sue against them. Customer service is lousy. The other people making complaints here are true. They are clueless and dumb.

Carvana Maintenance issue

When I tell you I have had the worst car purchase experience with Carvana ever in life. I went on-line last month 5/2023 and purchased a vehicle. A nice 2010 Audi S5 with 39,000 miles on it. Picture did no justice too this vehicle at all. It was the most beautiful car ever in person. It was black and shined like a coin. I had to pick it up an hour and a half away due to them not delivering in my area. So I picked up the vehicle and drove it home. It drove excellent on the highway. Got up to 200 mph but I was just cruising and enjoying the convertible car I have just purchased. When I arrived home and drove in my driveway the service engine light popped on. I said, you got to be kidding me. Now mind you, I picked up in Norfolk, Ma and of course you cannot get anybody from that office. So I called and I talk to Silver rock warranty and I took the car to Firestone and they said a hose popped off and they fixed it but said to drive it and see if it don't come back on again. So next day had to take car for inspection and tint was too dark was 14 % and Ma need to be at 35%. Called Silver rock and put in a second claim in two days and went to Mr Tint next day took off tint, filled up tank $60 and paid for inspection $35. After I picked my granddaughter up from school and was driving home, car overheated. Had to stop three times before I made it to my driveway and again called Silver rock for the third time in a week and wanted to take it to a transmission shop which was 32 miles away. Towing company from warranty told me that I had to pay $175 to have car towed. I told her the devil is a lie...called Carvana from a different phone due to them having my number stored in the system. Spoke to a lady and I swapped out the car for another S5 2017. Cost a bit more but was another beauty. Made appointment for pick up and they was to pick up old vehicle here at my home. That car was pulled in the garage since it overheated I could not drive it to drop off. Picked up new car on June 5th drove home hour and half away and needless to say, when I pulled in the driveway guess what service engine light came on in this car. Took it to Firestone and they don't have the Audi experience so I was informed to take it to the dealer. Called Audi and they took it on June 12th and today is June 15th and vehicle is still in the shop. Silver rock will be sending out an inspector to inspect the Audi decision on my repair on the vehicle. I said I hope you all are sending an Audi specialist to the Audi dealer and not sending someone who works on a Ford at the Audi dealership. I am beyond pissed off at this ordeal with these cars. Oh and did I mention, black car was just picked up last night june 14, 2023. Said they will be here between 7-8 pm and he showed up at 10:30 and almost had to drive back to New York because people do work in the morning. So now I drove this car maybe three times and it is sitting in the shop not drivable and my payment is due on the 7/5. Go figure. I have so many calls to Carvana listed on my call log and still no car. Told me I can rent a car and Silver rock pays only up to $400. I am so over Carvana...They get a -----------0000 from me.

About Carvana

Screenshot Carvana
Carvana is an online car dealership that specializes in buying and selling used cars. Founded in 2012, the company was created to provide consumers with a simpler and more convenient way to purchase a vehicle. Rather than having to visit a traditional car dealership, customers can browse through Carvana's inventory online and complete the entire process - from selecting a car to financing and delivery - from the comfort of their own home.

One of the key features that sets Carvana apart is its commitment to transparency. Each car listed on the website is accompanied by a 360-degree virtual tour, which allows customers to see every aspect of the vehicle. Additionally, the company provides a detailed history report for each car, including information about previous ownership, accidents, and repairs. This level of transparency gives customers peace of mind, ensuring that they are making an informed decision about the car they are purchasing.

Carvana also offers a variety of financing options, including the ability to complete the entire process online. Customers can apply for financing through the website, and receive an instant decision. This allows customers to stick to their budget and ensures that they are getting a fair deal on their vehicle.

Finally, Carvana's delivery service is one of its most notable features. Once a customer purchases a vehicle, Carvana will deliver it directly to their doorstep. This eliminates the need for customers to visit a dealership, haggle over prices, or worry about transporting the car home. Instead, Carvana brings the shopping experience to the customer, making the process as easy and stress-free as possible.

Overall, Carvana is a company that is revolutionizing the way people buy cars. With its commitment to transparency, extensive inventory, and convenient delivery service, it's no surprise that the company has experienced such rapid growth in recent years. As more and more people turn to online shopping, Carvana is well-positioned to continue changing the way people shop for cars.
