Chard Snyder Horrible Company

As many reviewers said below, I would give them 0 stars if I could. They should seriously be investigated, I don’t know how they are able to get away with these questionable practices. I submit my receipts and documentation and I still get claims denied that are for valid medical expenses. This takes up hours for me each week. I had claims for therapy that were approved and then all of a sudden denied and now they’re asking for my insurance information and having my doctor prove I need mental health care, absolutely ridiculous. I will never use their services ever again, you’re better off putting your money elsewhere.

Recommendation: Avoid at all costws

I have the same horrible experience as every one else. I can't use my own money for my medical expenses. What ComplaintsBoard.com is doing about this company with so many complaints and bad reviews. I never had this experience with any other company. All medical expenses were accepted on time. Can anything be done to change the questionable practices of this company.

Chard Snyder Our company is switching from Chard Snyder for our HSA account

Our company is switching from Chard Snyder for our HSA account. We have never had any of the issues with Chard Snyder that are listed in other reviews. They have always paid our expenses on time and did not require any documentation. I would prefer to stay with Chard Snyder because I am hearing first-hand negative reviews by friends that use the new HSA vendor.

Chard Snyder I would give them a 0 if I could

I would give them a 0 if I could. They will freeze your account, even if you have supplied them with a pic of a bill & receipt. Then once you contact them will say, well we needed the EOB. Well they could have told me that instead of freezing my own money. I think they hope you wont spend it and then lose it. Customer service is horrible. They are rude and cut you off.

I have never been so frustrated. I am asked for documentation for every. single. thing. They are demanding, if you don't respond quickly, your card gets shut off. When I submit documentation or appeals though, it takes them forever to process it. I do not have time for the amount of hours I am spending on this weekly. Sometimes documentation from the portal is ignored, then they send angry emails saying that I never submitted it. It seems that the only way to have documentation seen is to email it directly. However, they have sent out a notice that starting 10/15, they will no longer accept email documentation. I dread using this card because of how much paperwork comes with it every time I do. If I could go back in time and opt-out of this, I would, 1000x over.

I pay in over $2,700 annually to my FSA which is managed by Chard Snyder. I have over $7,000 in dental expenses this year, some of which is covered by insurance, some of which is my responsibility. I am up-to-date on my payments to my dentist and have filed claims for reimbursement promptly after each visit. To date, Chard Snyder has reimbursed only $ 750 of my claims. Each submission requires more and more documentation. Whatever I submit is never enough. The mobile app is horrible - times you out in the middle of uploading receipts. And.you can upload only 4 receipts at a time. If you dispute a claim, you have to start all over again!I truly wish I had never used them - that way I could have claimed all the expenses myself on my income taxes.I am a pediatrician, have been working over 80 hours a week this stressful covid year, but I have also spent 80 hours trying to get Chard Snyder to reimburse MY money for dental expenses. Its not worth it.

In my time using Chard Snyder with a previous employer I had to send in receipts or explanation of need with about 80% or more of the charges on my FSA card. Some of these charges were clearly from hospitals and I still needed to waste my time constantly proving my need to use my FSA card. They're obviously working to not approve charges and have made this process needlessly complicated.

I have very hard time to get my medical payments which was deducted from my salary. Around 2am declining letters come. If we consider that it is around 10 am in India, I feel they started to use workers in India. The most disgusting thing is asking itemized list of expenses to make the payments when you cannot get into hospitals because of COVID 19. People suffer from COVID 19, Chard Snyder asks itemized bill and try to be sure that insurance didn't pay it. Some sadist creature at the Chard Snyder finds a little detail and declines the request. When you call them, they are extremely arrogant. I hate the legislature of the States which doesn't handle their flexible spending accounts in a humanly way. Leaving people to the mercy of Chard Snyder. Most probably, Chard Snyder workers are paid at minimum and very unhappy about their job. So, they treat the people in a nasty way.

Chard Snyder I give them ZERO stars not 1

I give them ZERO stars not 1. Unfortunately can't do that. This is the worst FSA company. For every medical transaction, they need documentation. It's as if the hospital or doctor's office will cheat them from your own money. They are very quick to suspend your account if they do not receive timely documentation on any medical services. This is my money and they want to hold on it for as long as they because they know they can only rollover $500.00 for the following year and anything extra they most likely will pocket.

Chard Snyder Horrible company

Horrible company. It denies literally everything first. Currently I have been denied twice for a denture, and on the phone they are denying everything. I've submitted new receipts, but they're still denying them. They deny them, say please and sorry and thank you, then deny, then say please and sorry and thank you, then deny again. Then when it does pay, it pays a tiny portion. I think they're making money hand over fist by denying everything and I'm not yet sure what their scam is. The company needs to be looked into.

Chard Snyder This is a horrible company

This is a horrible company. DO NOT USE THEM. My experience has been like many here that very disappointed with the services and there auditing process. They are constantly asking for documentation on the health charges and they are never satisfied with all the proof you give them. It is ridiculous. Every Transaction I did they wanted paperwork for even when using my card at the hospital during emergency visit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY you are better off just saving the money yourself on a separate account or use another company. I WISH I CAN GIVE THEM A ZERO>

Chard Snyder Inconsistent in paying the same claims

Inconsistent in paying the same claims. RE: medical claim was covered in 6 claims in previous months. That exact same claim charged in July denied, said not covered and that it was caught in an audit. Similarly for a dental procedure they covered the 1st claim but denied the second for the same procedure. Customer Service also claimed it was caught in an audit. Its pretty clear how they make money! We will discontinue *** all together due to the lack of consistency and oversite of this business. Employers beware. No employee should have to put such an effort into managing this process only to lose their money.

Chard Snyder Im forced to use this company every year

Im forced to use this company every year. Recently they have been a bother to deal with. Continuous rejections for medical services that are obvious and should not need any documentation. They routinely request that we do their job for them, and gathering unnecessary documentation, uploading it to their site, so that they can review it. It is time-consuming. I believe that is why they request so much, so that you will stop using their services in this manner. I will no longer use their services next time I sign up for benefits. The program they offer is a good idea, however their continued resistance to customers using it is more than it is worth. Look elsewhere.

Chard Snyder As everyone else has stated, this company is the WORST

As everyone else has stated, this company is the WORST. They need documentation for every little thing even when it is obviously allowable per *** rules. All my healthcare providers shake their heads and ask what company my *** is through, as their other patients don't need to jump through these hoops. Why would you need a receipt for copay to a doctors office? Whatever genius reviews these claims should *** the name and address to see its obviously a health-care provider... what more do you need? One month in, my husband and I already decided this is the last year I use them! His work has a much better FSA we will use instead. The first year I had them was fine. The last two have been endlessly frustrating. Because health-care and medical issues are frustrating enough without Chard Snyder making it worse.

Chard Snyder Chard Snyder is the *** benefits administrator for my former employer

Chard Snyder is the *** benefits administrator for my former employer. I have had to work with them twice to elect benefits over the last year and each time has been difficult. Chard Snyder refuses to provide Cobra election form and notification (DOL laws require them to provide notification and election options within 14 days, they have not and their customer service agent wrongly states they have 90 days)They have intentionally provided wrong instruction and directions in order to delay or refuse to provide Cobra benefits. For example, they instructed me to log into two different systems to get benefits, but neither system has an active account for me. They refuse to setup an active account for me in those systems. I have called numerous times, and they provide me with non-working emails to direct my inquiries to. I have emailed, but received no response. These violations have been reported to the *** of *** and EBSA.

Chard Snyder As everyone else has mentioned, this company sucks!

As everyone else has mentioned, this company sucks! I can't buy anything health related with this stupid card. Everything gets declined and if you call in they just make excuses.
UPDATE:
This was Chard Snyders insulting reply from our phone conversation and my response: "Comment from the Business: We called him back and spoke to him about his prior debit card usage and why the card declined. We explained that this is not an open-ended card that can be used for any purchase and all purchases must be eligible to go through. We advised him on how to submit claims for any eligible services that he paid for out of pocket so that he could be reimbursed via direct deposit. It seems that he did not have a complete understanding of how the *** plan works, as he tried using his debit card at a cleaners, *** and Amazon, etc. Hopefully the call has helped educate him on the proper process moving forward."My response: "I do understand how an *** card. You did not listen to me on the phone call. My card was declined at a website selling a video otoscope that was supposed to be *** approved. Amazon sells *** approved items as well and I am allowed to shop for *** eligible items on any website that I need. So maybe you need to work on your listening skills. I only shopped for *** items only. Maybe tell the whole story instead of trying to paint me as ignorant. Even you had to admit that your card is so stringent that if an item is mis-coded it will not be allowed through you program. Please do not insult my intelligence, write what our conversation really was. I even told you that I understood how the *** program works I just don't agree with how some things that should be *** eligible aren't and I don't want to have to pay upfront and the file a claim. That's why I have this card!
