I talked to a manager at the crest hill Illinois location about 7 or 8 months ago. I had canceled my membership with someone over the phone but kept getting charged anyway. Then I got calls saying that I owe so I contacted them again and was told that the only way they could resolve the amount owed was to put me back into a membership. I told them I wasn’t working, I had just recovered from Covid and could not afford something that should have t gotten canceled, the manager told me he would see what he could do. I never heard from him snow $145 is on my credit report. This is very unfair because I told them to cancel my membership but they tried to bully me into remaining a customer. I think that’s very sad to prey on individuals who are vulnerable.

Today my fiancé and I went to work out at charter Fitness Tinley Park. The guy at the desk was clearly racist and rude to the point he jump in me and my fiancé face with threatening jestures. We didn't react and ask could we talk to a surpervisor. We was told it's no surpervisor or number in get out. The police was called and the officers said he was rude and wouldn't give his name and that it was s fachise and nobody to report to. I feel violated as a citizen, costumer and African American man. Please help me with this matter. I'm seeking legal actions. Thank you

Charter Fitness took advantage of my debit card information and charged me $200 after I had already given them 60 days’ notice to terminate my membership. Why don’t they stop charging me? I did everything according to the agreement.
