I recently tried to book with this company, it is a long drawn out affair. I tried to get to the Royal Solaris in Cancun, when I spoke with Barbara I said yes to what I thought was the Royal Solaris Los Cobos in Cancun, Mexico. If you look at resorts in Cancun there are 2 Royal Solaris hotels in Cancun, one being the Los Cabos. When my second payment was not deducted I called to question this and found out I was going to Los Cabos Mexico not Cancun. After a long and very trying period I cancelled only to find out NONE of my monie would be returned, only half would be credited to my "FUTURE" travel with them. Lesson learned, only use live in person travel agents. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEB SITE AND ALL OF ITS PEOPLE.

would not honor their voucher
We were offered and given a voucher for a horrible experience vacation, the worse experience of a vacation in our entire life. We were outside of the Country in Curacao, and we were being threatened by an islander, she was yelling at us ... that us Americans are trying to take over their island, and, we were accused of being Racists we felt our lives were threatened by more that was said to us. We were uncomfortable to stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Curacao past that night so we felt forced to move to
the Marriott in Curacao where we felt safe, because she wouldn't find us there.
Cheap Caribbean sent us a voucher and said to book a vaca with them or with the original airlines. American Airlines first said they had the voucher than when we were ready to book they knew of nothing of it. We called Caribbean and they said the voucher wasn't any good with them either.

Booking wrong resort
We researched 2 months for our honeymoon. Saved our money...found the perfect place online. Couldn't book it online...so called to personally do it on CheapCaribbean.com. phone no. [protected]). Wanted to stay in Punta Cana at the Paradisus Reserve Palma Real. Unfortunately...unbeknownst to us, the words MUST BE PERFECT! Or you will be staying at the WRONG resort...and they will not move you once you discover it! In Punta Cana...there is 2 Paradisus hotels! And 2 Reserves..and 1 Paradisus CALLED Punta Cana...in Punta Cana! There is the Paradisus Punta Cana, the Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana, Paradisus Palma Real, and the Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real! It is a nightmare trying to resolve it...totally confusing and they act like you should KNOW e difference between all the same name resorts! When booking, they never told me there were all these closely confused names...to triple check! It is just your problem...not theirs. I would NEVER use this service AGAIN!
Kind of amusing, we paid them over $1400 and they can care less
We contacted Cheap Caribbean via their websites complaint process on July 19 at 9:15am regarding the terrible service, food, cleanliness of our room, safety of the resort and the misrepresentation of the hotel that we received by reading their website. The hotel was nowhere near a 4 star resort. The food was not edible; our room was not ready when we arrived which was around 5pm. My wife got very sick after the first night of dinner and additionally slipped on the very wet floor in the lobby. I could go on and on but there are too many items to list. Bottom-line, their website misrepresented the hotel by saying it was a 4 star resort. At a 4 star resort you should not have to worry about the food, the room being dirty, service, etc. On July 19 I spoke with the General Manager about them waiving the cancellation fee and they agreed. We called Cheap Caribbean to tell them that they were waiving the fee but we did not hear back from them until July 21 after 5pm and by that time we were leaving 36 hours. I have since called them and they did admit that they should have given us the offer of changing resorts which was never given to us. They sent a "customer service" response basically saying it is out of their control. Kind of amusing, we paid them over $1400 and they can care less.
You keep submitting the same complaint...?
Terrible hotel and no customer svc
We booked a 5 night stay in Barbados in a hotel promoted on this agency's website. We experienced a run-down dump with a broken toilet, no elevators, 40 stairs to the beach and with health problems, we could not go to the beach and climb 40 stairs back to our hotel room! The hotel was awful, they provided one towel per person and no tissues, the room was as bare as a prison cell and the toilets in our room and several others did not flush. We emailed from the small area of the lobby that actually had working wi-fi and pleaded with cheapcaribbean.com to assist us in transferring to a nearby hotel with working plumbing, but 2 different customer service reps wrote back and told us selecting this hotel was our own fault and if we moved, they would charge us a "minimum" penalty of $245, plus we would lose all of our pre-paid hotel charges, and we would have to pay a premium at a different facility. They went on to insult me by telling me that the Barbados Tourism Board provided a discounted stay, therefore we were going to lose our "discount" if we changed to a sanitary and clean hotel that actually would have been ocean-front, which is what we paid for but did not receive. They pretended these penalties were beyond their control. Cheapcaribbean.com's representatives were heartless when I wrote that this filthy and unsanitary facility was ruining my trip and making me physically ill. Heartless, and I've never stayed at such a disgusting hotel in my entire life. They provide a "breakfast" that is some kind of soggy biscuits and watered down juice, the entire place was sub-standard. But to be forced to spend 24 hours in a room with a broken toilet and backed-up sewage? It is truly disgraceful that Cheapcaribbean.com would not just have enough humanity in them to just move us to a presentable facility and we would have paid the difference in the rate, but not a PENALTY. We trusted their judgement in recommending a hotel, and afterwards they blamed us for our own stupidity. Never again, we travel quite a bit and I would never use Cheapcaribbean.com and I would recommend potential customers to book their trips through any other company but this one. They just don't care about their clients and delivering a satisfactory experience.

I think that you have gotten shafted here, but I know for a fact that this doesn't happen often. I know that people get transferred to better hotels all the time. I think you need to relook at your situation.
deceptive refund policy
When we were booking our group cruise, we were told that as long as we cancelled by a certain date, that our deposit was 100% refundable.
We verified this fact 3 times with their agent, when booking our cruise over the phone.
When we tried to cancel the cruise (less than 1 week after we booked it), we were told that we would be charged a $100 admin fee.
After spending some time with them on the phone, we were told that this fee would be 'waived'. I will be monitoring my credit card statements to see if this penalty charge appears. I am also hoping that I will get my $250 per person deposit back from them.

It Rained for our enitre vacation
I know I can’t hold CheapCaribbean.com responsible for the rain we encountered on our recent trip to Bermuda. What was great was when we returned home to NJ, I had an email from CheapCaribbean.com advising us that we had a $100 voucher rain guarantee towards another vacation.
So morel of the story - when it rains you will have a $$ reason to take another vacation ( with Sunshine )

We stayed in the most terrible hotel with broken plumbing and 40 stairs from the beach to the room and no amenities, and when I wrote and asked for a change to a SANITARY hotel they gave me a terrible response, they are just a horrible travel agency that takes no responsiblity for their mistakes. They really truly don't care.! We also had the worst, food, service, filthy conditions. They give you ONE TOWEL EACH and if you need a beach towel they charge you. No tissues in the room, nothing.
Most of the toilets are broken.
No elevator, it was hot and we had to climb 40 stairs I wrote an email and told them that I am in bad health but they threatened us with a very expensive penalty if we changed hotels, truly, they were horrible to deal with.
People should avoid cheapcaribbean.com and book their own trips!

Deceptive advertising do not book with cheap caribbean
I called to book a vacation and explained I found a better price the representative assured me they would match it, I just had to book online and submit a screen shot of the lower price and it would be taken care of. I booked on a Friday. I had not heard back from them over the weekend and upon calling the 800 number a message explained they were under a lot of pressure due to the recent storms so I waited to call the next week. The lady I spoke with told me you did not receive my email with the screen shot and that it was too late since it was past the 24 limit.I told her I have the email trail and the proof that I submitted it. Upon searching online they always claim to "lose" messages like this. I spoke to many of their customer service reps who were rude and dismissive, the final "manager" David talked over me and talked down to me telling me to "give up" and get over it, there's nothing he could do. I am extremely upset with this company. It seems once they get your money they are done with you. Upon going on the trip the hotel had trouble finding our reservation, the front desk lady said they always have trouble with this company and most everyone who uses them has been unhappy with their services. Save your self the trouble and book with a better company. The BBB gives them a D+ rating!

I called to ask for amount to change dates. When Sam told me 824. I declined. Then he told me there is a problem with my reservations. 3 kids could not be in a room alone. I told him there are 2 adults 3 kids. We can have an adult in each. Then he changed his statement to we should have been charged more for the 2 kids under 12. They will call hotel to see if I need to pay additional amount. I would find out later and hung the phone up on me when I said I wanted to know now.
I called back and got Sara. Sara stated the reservation was correct and read hotel rules 4 people allowed per room and max 2 kids. So there was nothing wrong. Then she stated let me check notes.
Well long story short Supervisor Monica refused to take my call. When she did she explained that $24. per person does not include kids under 12.. And she read to me in little letter at the bottom if you have a single person w/child 4-11 to call reservations. I did call before I booked on line. And it's 3 people in the room how is that single.
So what she is saying is that person does not include kids! Never heard of any company who didn't consider kids a person. They should have used the words adults instead of per person. She also stated only 2 hotels offer the special rate and both of them do this false advertisement, but that is handled by the advertisement department not her.
So I have to wait to see if I can take confirmed trip or they will refund me.
After I bought 5 plane tickets. Paid for 5 people to stay at hotel. I'm waiting to see of I owe money?
CheapCaribbean.com is a scam!
I have a problem with them now that i am trying to resolve and believe me i will go to the end to get my money back I will even file small court suit against for misleading information. My husband is a non us citizen and when i called them numerous times before and after buying they kept on telling me the as long as he has a valid green card he will be able to travel when we got to airport they would let us board because of my husbands passport expired so cheapcarribean.com lied to us and would not return our money. I hate them I will file a suit against them they are terrible.
CheapCaribbean has an A- Better Business Bureau rating. I read on Google they book over 500, 000 passengers a year and give loads to charity. "Numerous complaints" I would disagree with. I've used them 3x to Puerto Rico and will use them again this year.
I had just booked a trip tp Jamaica for [protected] for 3400.00 this includes all taxes, when web surfing I came across VacationExpress.com and found the same booking for 2800.00, I immediately contacted CheapCaribbean and they told me the steps to take to recieve the matching price . I did so and within a day had a refund of 500.00 acredited to my account. So to the one that did not recieve the refund I am sorry but I am thinking that maybe you did not follow procedures within the time limit and to others I say take a look at Cheapcaribbean.com as I have used them several times in the past, but always look elsewhere as I did above, sometimes their price is beaten. But not often.
Funny they pulled up my call and still didnt back me up. they said the agent was wrong and eventually was fired.
I have read numerous complaints about CheapCaribbean.Com, but I want to help them out just a bit.
This company records every last call that comes into the phone line, it is kept for quite some time, so asked them to pull the call, speak to Melanie R, Amber H, Kristin K, or Heather A, they have a IT staff headed by George that has state of the art equipment to recorded and store all calls that come into the company
resort complaints
We just returned from the Dominican Republic/Majestic Colonial Resort. We had previously booked two other vacations at this resort and several others witj cheap caribbean.com, we have always been pleased. This vacation we booked 15 with us, we were all very excited. We had specifically requested rooms poolside due to the fact we were traveling with several children and would be convenient to keep an eye on them at all times. We booked this trip months ago and were assured poolside rooms. When we arrived however our request was not obliged. We were told we were near the pool and the veiw was good. Needless to say, we were no where near the pool and our veiw were the backside of the rooms of the Majestic Elegance resort! May seem small, but this was impotant to us. Also several restaurants were closed, but closings were not posted before hand so we could make adjustments to our dining schedules. One restaurant would not serve us because we had a small child with us (8 year old, well behaved)-even though the restaurant was not crowded. We also had trouble getting a volleyball to play ball-we had to buy our own! First day we arrived we were told the pool closed at 6PM-we had only arrived @4PM and wanted to enjoy the early evening in the pool playing volleyball- they took the net and the ball! We did have a nice time-staff is freindly and helpful-and if you tip they are even more so. Not sure I would go back!

this company offers a 4 night package to Puerto Rico. So when you enter the departing date, automatilly they choose the arriving date
AND TIME they say oh no you choose. but when i looked at the time
i would have never imgined that i would be departing from Puerto Rico at 2:55 AM on 8/18/09. when i arrived at 8:00 PM on the 14th of august.

I just got back from lifestyle in puerto plata. Ok, there was a little bit of tax to pay, but this was still an incredible deal that i could not find on any other website. I had a great experience with my entire vacation.
i find that hard to believe. when i tried booking the $10 deal it was more than normal.
Actually my brother-in-law just used them for his honeymoon and everything was messed up!
Primetime21---I actually have some friends who booked the $10 deal and it is definitely NOT a joke nor false advertisement. THEY ACTUALLY PAID $10 PER PERSON PER NIGHT-----CHEAP CARIBBEAN IS AMAZING!
the all inclusive for $10 is a joke. The price comes out to the same as normal when you go to checkout. again false advertisement!
At CheapCaribbean we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary this month, marking our 1, 000, 000th customer and selling a very nice all inclusive for $10. We have very few complaints and over 10, 000 positive reviews. We wouldn't be around 10 years if we didn't have unbelievablle prices matched with incredible customer service. With nearly 200 employees and 100, 000+ website visitors per day, we are the number one dedicated website in the world to the Caribbean and Mexico from the USA. Thanks for all our customers for the past 10 years and looking forward to the next 10 years seeing you on the beach!
I agree. Cheap Caribbean is a terrible company and doesnt stand behind their word. NEVER USE THEM!
