Subscription not Working
On March 9th, I was looking into Chegg, but decided to talk to representative after payment. They cleared my card from the site and promised I could use the subscription since I had been charged even though I had decided not to use it. However, I tried to use it today and cannot. My account is [protected]@gmail.com. Can I get a refund since no service has been provided for payment?
Unauthorized credit charges
On June 2021, I subscribed with Chegg and after a great experience I decided to cancel my subscription on September 2021. Even though I unsubscribe several times and it assured me that I unsubscribed it kept taking money from my bank account and sometimes after the whole payment was done I would try to log in and see what's wrong but sometimes it just says "an error occurred try again later" for 2 straight months. I would really like to have my money back at least from October because that is just unfair.

Monthly service
Once used this service 5 years ago, then cancelled subscription, cancelled all cards associated with account. Since that time they hack our accounts, despite new cards being issued and illegally charge use for monthly subscriptions. Your company has charged me for services I never ordered on a number of occasions. I contacted you in October 2021 and you refunded the charges and told me the account was closed. However, you charged by five additional times for $19.95. I will report this to the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. I will also be writing a letter to the Texas Attorney General. These are clearly fraudulent charges.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Charged $19.95 a month for multiple months. I never heard of Chegg until their bill showed up on my credit card statement. I reported the problem, provided my credit card information, billing name & zip code and the date the bill appeared on my credit card. Chegg's billing department could not find the charge and had no record of me in their system yet they billed me multiple months. Unfortunately I will have to cancel the credit card for which I have numerous auto-pay links and a lot of Rewards Points.
Beyond stupid is this company. I have experienced the same erroneous monthly billing and have yet to reach anyone competent to resolve the issue even after posting the order#!
Chegg Answers!!!!
It was really a piece of SHEET! They are not even answering what I am asking, and just keep anyhow post something that's UNRElALTED than marked as ANSWERED! I ask what is A and yet they answer C, I ask what is B and yet they answer C! What nonsense is this, and I have to pay for the same sheet every month. They are not even asnwering the question I posed and yet the number of question I left which I can ask just left 2. Trust me, really a waste of money! And yet the person still dare to posed a comment remove the downgrad yet he or she just anyhow bomb somethings that not related! Actually, such a cased happens not just once! Than what is the purpose that the money I every month pay! And the answer its not even complete

Don't trust chegg!
I signed up for Chegg's three-day trial. Canceled on the second day. Screen-captured their chat folk's assurances that my account had been canceled, and that I would not see any charges. Lo and behold, they still charged me $9.95 AFTER STATING THAT THEY WOULDN'T! Don't trust these folks or their overseas chatbots. Call your credit card company and let them deal with them. You will get nowhere with Chegg. Also, beware of them continuing to fraudulently charge you. Some hungry class-action lawsuit attorney should hit these folks hard. They also make it extremely hard to reach them. I was on their chat for over 30 minutes getting transferred to different reps.

Wrong answers and 100% copied answers from Wikipedia
Hi, I've been wanting to complaint about the quality of answers from some of the experts. I've been noticing that some of my questions has been answered incorrectly and unrelated Wikipedia's information. I would like a refund of the questions that have been answered bye these experts as I paid the question just to get a wrong half-hearted answer. U guys do know that one question is not that cheap . Please do something, or maybe dont mark our questions as "answered" so other experts can still answer the question w "actual" answers.

Citation Machine
The forced ad watching caused me to waste time when I need to get my citations onto my paper and then upload my paper to dropbox for a grade. Give me the citation while I watch the ad because 30 seconds is the difference between a late grade and an on time submission of an assignment. Not everybody has the perfect life and can do everything ahead of schedule.
Desired outcome: A change within the forced ad watching to save the time of students.

Unauthorized charges to credit cards, frequently
We have never had contact or done business of any kind with Chegg and yet our credit card keeps being charged. Our bank catches the fraudulent charges, cancels the card, and reissues a new one with new numbers. Within a few months (at longest), new fraudulent charges appear, the bank cancels and reissues the card and the cycle starts again. The charges are all from Chegg and there are no common legitimate purchases that might be ⅜leaking the charge card number. Even if there were, the chances they ALL ended up with charges to Chegg and nowhere else seems suspicious.
Desired outcome: Explain how this is happening and make it stop
Unauthorized debit card charges
2 months ago I subscried to chegg. After i was done with my work then 2-3 weeks ago i insubscried and it said that i would no longer be charged and wouldnt be able to use chegg after the month that i had made the payment for. I confirmed myself that i had successfully uncubscried. But today when i activated my debit cards online transaction it was charged with $14.85. Now i am trying to open the website to complain and it wount even open. This is total fraud and theft. I want a refund of my money and i dont want something like this to happen again.

My membership keeps on getting suspended
This account is only accessed by me. I'm not sharing it with anyone. I'm not sure why this account keeps getting suspended. Chegg is always unavailable whenever I require it. My membership is always up-to-date. I had a horrible time. A disgruntled client.

I purchased chegg study 10 days ago. Not only did they charge me twice, but also they cancelled my purchase immediately. I made the payments using my paypal account and paypal put my funds on hold up until today.
I know that when a purchase payment is declined they need to cancel the authorization and thus PayPal returns the funds immediately. They, however, refuse to cancel the authorization and after 10 days my money is on hold for no reason.
Their support keeps giving irrelevant answers that the work was done on their side and that I have to ask paypal to return the money. That does not make sense as I am a regular PayPal user and I know how it works. PayPal cancels pending authorizations after 30 days automatically and there is no way to make that faster.
Desired outcome: I want them to cancel the authorization and want an explanation on why they refused to do so so far.
Fraud!
I never heard of this company in my life until I was charged two months in a row on my credit card for the same amount. After the first charge I immediately notified my credit card company. They reversed the charge, had me get a new card (which was a huge hassle considering I pay bills with it) and they flagged the company and began an investigation. Fast forward one month, the exact same charge appeared under my new credit card number and the phone # listed on the charge was no longer in service! I had to do an online chat with customer support. And this was the second time they kept asking personal information like address and card numbers... Why in hell would I give them further info steal my identity entirely? Changing my credit card number once again and letting the bank do the entire investigation... Seems to me with 402 better business bureau complaints and 72 here, plus the others I see online, this poor excuse for a company should be shut down for good. Be forewarned! Do not deal with this crooked fraudulent bunch of crooks!

Chegg.com has charged my visa card in April and now in May 2021. I called my credit card company and they are investigating the case. The did credit my april money back to me, May is still pending.

But when the question was not answered in the time frame to give tokens back they said they were copyright. but one of the questions were answered.

In March 2021, three entries in the amount of $21.72 was deducted from my checking acct. I complained to the bank and the money was refunded. In May and April the same entries appeared again! I never signed up for this service and want to know how I was enrolled. Please cancel and refund my money in the amount of $130.32. ( 6 x $21.72)

I bought an electronic code to a textbook I already owned. I called Chegg repeatedly to ask for help, but they gave me the runaround and wanted me to talk to Pearson. They refused to help me. I paid almost $45. They refused to refund my money. I have spoken to two supervisors who said I didn't ask for a refund sooner, but I did repeatedly ask them for help in solving the problem. They are dishonest!
