Charged all sum without warning
I received a loan from Cheque Centre. After some time they without any warning charged me all the sum I owed them! Now I even don’t have money to buy food! Incredible! I called them and they told that we didn’t sign an agreement and I can’t prove anything.

I agree and no how all of you feel i was also an employee for cheque centre and i would never let any one i no go there for a job, they are the worst run company i have every know, the higher management are absolute monsters and have not one ounce of respect for their staff, i was 19 when i started as a CSR and after six week got promoted to branch manager and i couldn't believe it, I now understand why ! i have left cheque centre and have never felt better i work for a similar company a company that actual know how to run a business and treat there staff with respect, because when i worked for them not a week went by where i did not break down to my partner due to stress it also cause riffs in my relationship because i took the stress home with me every night, my partner used to tell me to leave it at work but how can u with the amount of threats you got if you did not meet KPIs it was unreal, I also lost a lot of weight which was not good being thin anyway and lost lots of sleep over my time of employment with them never again, anyone still in the company i no its hard but get out it is really not worth your health. Only good thing about my employment at cheque centre was a few and only a few staff members i met they were lovely and the only thing that made me stick with it for so long.
I'm literally at the end of my tether with this place, 22 year old manager and I thought I could deal with the stress when I first started, the wage does not ressemble responsibilities and the pressure is unreal. I have been in and out of the doctors with health issues due to stress about losing my job and the only reason I am working for the company is because it was one of the few jobs out there (im sure most of you would agree) . They change there processes and rulings more then any other company i know and if anything goes wrong like 1 customer going to debt good help you if you have made one tiny mistake because you didn't understand the new ways of doing things, this company will be the death of me, no one should hate there job as much as i do right now and all this publicity doesn't help! I have had old people ask me "how the hell do you sleep at night" answer to this question...I DONT! The pressure is immense and it ruins everything outside if our 9-5:30 job, we all need a massive corperate meeting to voice our opinions...
Totally agree... I simply cannot see how staff can be held responsible and disciplined for customers not paying their loans back. The whole procedure needs an overhaul. The credit check is simply not good enough and agree it should take into account outgoings especially to noted other lenders. The collection process is wayyyyyyy out of whack which means it IS far to easy for customers to deliberately defraud the company and worst they get away with it while the staff in the shops are held responsible. Follow process? But the process goes against procedure, no support from HR and even collections don't know what they can and can't do. I for one am hoping to find a new job soon, one where My job isn't at risk for not hitting debt targets despite the shop performing fourfold in ALL other areas in the last 12 months...apparently I cannot Manage because I refuse to bully my own staff. They need to change or they will lose more than just good staff and reputation...I for one will gladly try and see them in court when I dismissed or demoted if I haven't left in the next month.
Your last comment it ridiculous, I workfor cheque centre and I can tell you they are not a responsible lender they push their staff into giving unrealistic amounts to vulnerable people who have no chance to afford this and whom most of dont even listen or have a clue about ther finances, their credit Check does not take into account their outgoings so how can they gauge whether someone can afford it ?
If someone takes a payday loan, then it's there own fault. The paper work they sign DOES say we will attempt to retrieve the full monies owed if not paid on time!
cheque center staff member i know how you feel. i sympathise with my customers i them. when they go debt its our fault and we get so much stress from area managers we not sleeping or eating. i feel like i am the living dead. if we could help our customers in a realistic sympathetic way our customers would happy and would less stress with the unrealistic targets they want if you fail its your fault you can what do they want us to a gun peoples head and make a loan... or better yet a gun to our own heads.
I work for the cheque centre and The stress area managers put staff under to retrieve back debt is unreal .. They more or less tell you if you don't get back the money you lent out then you loss your job. I have now decided to leave as I feel so stressed out with the pressure of pushing to hit targets every month to give loans out then chase debt . The staff are treated like crap the wage is awful and I feel I have been pushed out if the job .
