I was standing in front of this shop waiting for a colleague, then decided to enter and looked at the menu. I then opted for the "Rock My Soul 3", which had a thigh, leg, and wing illustrated. I spoke to the cashier and confirmed that these will be the portions I would get and she confirmed. I asked "are you sure" she said yes again and askes if i want chips with it and replied yes.
She rang up the sale, I paid, and she just returned change and slip. No "please take a seat" or "order will be ready in a minute or 2". I stepped aside and waited as I knew it would not take long. there was 2 orders before me awaiting to be handed to patrons.
Then I was handed my order, I opened the box, checked for the pieces that was confirmed only to find there is no thigh but instead a dry piece of breast.
The person who handed my order to me covertly alerted the cashier that I'm about to complain, by poking the cashier and showing with her eyes in my direction. I got so angry, I wanted to demand a refund. I told the cashier there is no evidence of a thigh in this meal box. She took it from me, almost grabbed, not saying a word, with a very irritated look on the face and gave it to the expediter where the piece was changed and shoved back on the counter. No apology, nothing. which at this point would have made me feel better.
I just feel that before I made the transaction, I confirmed of what I should get, therefore I went ahead, knowing what the contents would be. How many customers do this and actually leave without checking their order and ending up with food that they did not ask for and then have to leave it or just give away.
I myself am a qualified all star, worked for KFC from the age of 16, I never treated customers so rudely.
Please address your staff and inform them of customer service, eye contact, empathy and integrity.
Personally I do not think I will EVER set foot in a Chicken Licken ever again. Many previous times same or similar incident happened at various branches and I just kept quiet.

I went to buy wings at the sunnypark Pretoria branch, so I ordered my wings and the lady gave me my order slip so I go sit down to wait for her to call my order up. While I'm waiting I use my phone. Sometimes it takes a while but not when I'm the only customer in the shop. So as time passes by about 15 mins I look at the two ladies behind the counter gossiping and laughing about something. I look their direction hoping they will call me up, but they don't so I assume my order isn't ready yet. Then customers walk in and I'm still waiting then I get a bit frustrated because now 20 mins has passed by and they are serving other people while I haven't received my wings yet. Then I get up and ask why I haven't received to order yet then with a stinking attitude she just walks over to my order which is laying on the counter, COLD! And I ask her why she didn't call me long time ago? She answers back with so much attitude saying it's because she saw I was on my phone and didn't want to disturb me!? What kind of service is this? Am I suppose to wait around the counter for my food when there is a way to do it? And if so why isn't there a sign to state that cashiers jobs are not to call up orders?! Am I suppose to do her job and ask for my order when I've already paid for it? I'm am so disgusted with this behaviour and wish to speak to the manager. He/she wasn't available that time, so I took the toll free number which I'm not allowed to call. So I thought to write this letter to make Ware of the kind of service your customers are getting. If we can't get good service then we will no longer continue to support chicken licken. Something has to be done about this issue as I am furious right now. My wings were cold! And when I told her I'd call her superiors she said go ahead with so much attitude and I don't care manner. If that manner is promoted by chicken licken then you have a serious issue because I won't stand for it. If i pay I expect good service!

on the 20/01/17 i decided to eat chicken licken at Midway Mews in Midrand and I regret going to buy food there, the service was very poor, their drive thru was park thru instead. i waited for more than 30 minutes on the drive thru just to get food that was the worst service ever. they must up their service since they are the only Chicken Licken around Midrand.

My name is zanele from sebokeng, I went to buy chicken licken yesterday at thabong at 13:21:17 and the cashier was dimakatso from shift 1, that lady gave me one hell of a bad attitude for merely asking for information and clarity about the meal I wanted to buy, raised her tone and gave me a frown, would asking clarity about a variety of meals chicken licken is selling, be a threat? That even lead to one of her colleagues going to the back to inform their colleagues, whom eventually came on the front guess to see this lady (Me). This lady really needs to be re assessed and if possible corrective action be taken, as in send her back for training on customer service skills and professionalism. If this person can be this cruel chances that I could be given meals with 'spit' or filthy are extremely. I don't think I will ever go to that franchise. Please re evaluate your staff.
received stale mini bread loaves
On Tuesday, 10 Jan 2017 at 18:25:41 order no 3114; I bought the Family Full house 8 from Booysens Chicken Licken. The meal included soulslaw and two bread loaves. When we arrived home later and opened the bread loaves we immediately got a stale smell. When I took the loaves out i noticed that it had green substance on the side. Like green crumbs stuck to it.
This was very unpleasant to see and very disappointing.

I highly disappointed with the service I received at Chicken Licken in Isipingo - Durban Sunday 13 November [protected]@14:33, 26. I was served by Londiwe and I ordered chilli cheese slyders but they came back dry and the cheese slices with the cheese wrapping still on them. This could have easily caused me to asphyxiate on the food had I not opened the slyder before consuming it. When I complained to the server who had served me, she was totally rude and went as far as telling me that I am complaining for something so minor.
I have complained on your online customer care line but I have not received any joy or responses. To me it seems Chicken Licken’ does not care about the satisfaction and wellbeing of their customers or I will have to contact Hellopeta for me to be acknowledged.

Got our order and when we got home saw the soulfire sauce requested was not included but ketchup. On taking out the popcorn we saw that there was a piece of paper with writing on it at the bottom of the container. Really disgusted.
Chicken licken Secunda mall is such a disappointment the meat is always under cooked the spices are completely different from the normal chicken licken, you can't eat the meat the following day.I have to drive to location when I have a craving !Isnt there supposed to be a standard used?
Today was my first time to buy from you. What a shocker. How can you charge R54.95 for 4 small pieces of chicken? This is not even costing you R20 . Klerksdorp is a very small town. Last year we lost our one and only Chicken Liken in the town. I'm sure the company is that losing money because the Chicken Liken in Klerksdorp was always busy and fully packed. This complaint is to benefit both the franchise and customers.
Ordered 8 piece family full house. Instead got 6 pieces . Paid R124.90. Cannot go back because we live in Florida and bought on our way home. This is theft. We never get what we order.

I write this in response to the vile, disgusting and bluntly rude customer service i received from chicken licken cresta mall branch. I feel utterly ashamed for the rude woman who refused to assist me just because i had a trolley inside the shop, she opened her rude mouth and refused to give me service and instructed me to take the trolley outside, which obviously had valuable stuff which i had bought from the other shops in the mall.
Tell me why chicken licken would have a “restaurant” inside a mall if you do not want your customers to bring their trolleys inside your shop?
I had guests yesterday evening at my house and i was going to spend an amount of +- r1000.00 of take away food in chicken licken cresta mall branch but your employee couldn’t care less. She tells me there’s no space for trolleys inside their shop, if that was the truth, explain to me how could i have managed to get inside the shop with a trolley if there wasn’t space. So here is what i need to know from the business owner of the chicken licken cresta mall branch:1. Why would your employee refuse a paying customer from your shop just because of a trolley? 2. If you (Referring to your business) do not except trolleys inside your shop how come there is no visible sign at the entrance informing us paying customers of such?
3. Is this the normal business practise to turn away paying customer s just because of a trolley that could easily fit in the shop cause i was right by the till point when your employee rudely refused to give me service.

I use to stay in Soweto then moved to the so called suburbs, now and then I visit Soweto and below are some of the challenges I face please read and maybe add yours if you have any and forward it to as many people as you can, it might reach the relevant recipient.
To Whom it may concern,
1. On the 24th of February 2011 I went to a FNB Dobsonville branch to withdraw money unfortunately I did not have my card but had my identity book with me. When I got to the tellers to try and make a withdrawal I was told I could not complete such a transaction without a bank card, then I quickly went to Enquiries to try and create a replacement card, I was told that the cards were finished. I then rushed to a branch in Florida I was given the card immediately and I could withdraw.
My point is:
Why is it that the service in townships and those in suburbs differ so much e.g.
a. I went to many KFC’s around Carletonville, Krugersdorp and Roodepoort and requested that they make me a streetwise two with additional cheese and they did it with ease. Then I went to the one in dobsonville mall and tried to buy the same thing I was told that I needed to buy two separate orders as the cheese is standard with the meal.
b. With disappointment I went to the chicken licken in dobsonville and asked for a combo that came with a can of soft drink and requested that they swap the coldrink with a juice I will pay for any additional amount they refused point blank.
c. Lastly I tried to buy few groceries at the Pick n Pay and Shoprite stores the queues were so long with only two cashiers opened, I changed so many of them and they were just the same, I decided to drive to Westgate to my surprise there were only six of us at the time and all the cashiers were open.
What I would like to know is:
do these shops and banks train their employees different i.e. those in townships are not that important as compared to those in Suburbs?
Why those in suburbs can improvise and those in townships can’t, we cannot say its due to colour cause most of them on both sides are Africans, maybe with different management.
And lastly what is with this process of having the slip checked and signed in the township whereas in the suburbs there is no such nonsense, I personally feel belittled by such behavior.
