Choice Home Warranty Replacement value of stove with double oven

Read the fine print! They have all the outs to not cover your claims. They sale you on the idea that they will repair and if not, replace your appliance. THEY WILL NEVER, EVER replace your appliance. They give you an arbitrary, very low, dollar amount (for me, in a Lowes gift card no less) and claim it is "THEIR" replacement cost but will not show you proof of this and is an out right lie. I have a Dacor, 6 burner double oven that they could not repair. It took me 6 weeks of fighting just to get someone to show up to find out it can't be repaired so now it is replacement time. New it was $12,000. (no I did not expect it replaced new) Exact used replacement is $4500.00. Off brand with same features new is $4500.00 Choice Home Warranty cap per appliance is $3000.00. They gave me $1549.00 in a Lowes gift card. That won't even replace the 6 burner cook top. I expected the $3000.00 cap but nope. CHW say they will send out repairman in 24 but no later than 48 hours. Has never happened once. In fact, every claim I have put in they have asked me to hire my own repairman and they will reimburse me. You got it, they didn't reimburse me. They do everything in their power not to cover anything. I cannot say enough bad things. I have more stories than just these two. I switched from American Home Shield which did in fact, replace at true consumer cost and always showed up within 24 hours but they had increased their monthly rate and CHW called me and offered a lower rate. I was an idiot for believing them and not doing my homework on them. I have contacted a lawyer to see what can be done and saw the Arizona AG is suing CHW for fraud for the reasons I just stated. Hoping my state of South Carolina is next.

Choice Home Warranty Technician.

I am a technician that worked with Choice Home Warranty would submit my diagnosis and be authorized and when I came back to receive payment they would alter the payment they have canceled payments without letting me know anything I have been lied to multiple times their customer service team is terrible and are some of the rudest people I've dealt with minus a couple. They won't pay me for work that is completed and I can't reach anybody I have to send emails and hope they respond. This company is terrible and I would definitely not advise anybody to work for them or to use them.

Desired outcome: I'm just trying to get paid for what I did.

Choice Home Warranty Vendor payment for services rendered

Pest control services provided to SWO # 6508266 was completed and invoiced on 01-12-2023 through the vendor portal. I have sent several emails, called twice and sent text with no valid response as to when I would be paid. I log in to the vendor portal and my payment status say's "on hold"

Choice Home Warranty Washing machine

When our washing machine went out, I was impressed at the short time it took to get a very qualified technician to our home. He informed us that the repairs would be a little over $500 and that he would submit them to Choice. Within minutes he had an answer, impressive. He said the request was denied and our washer would be replaced. We then received and email saying, congratulations, we're getting a new washing machine. Fantastic, I thought. They were offering us a $345 Lowes card. The cheapest "clearance sale" machine at Lowes was $498. Also, ours is a Speed Queen build, which is identical to what is in the laundromats, starting at $1,300 at the low end. When I appealed, I was told that the $345 represents their wholesale price from Lowe's, I asked for proof of that price. They said no. Choice Home Warranty doesn't have a wholesale price from Lowe's because they don't buy any appliances, only gift cards. I asked for a comparable replacement since ours is heavy-duty. I was told they don't consider what the machine is built with, only the knobs, buttons, and features. In my opinion, this is a smart con game that is probably a 1/4 inch short of a bait and switch scam.

Choice Home Warranty Service protection

I was a new customer with choice home warranty. I had to use their protection policies for the first time so to a slow leak. The maintenance provider explained two possible issue. One, being a clog. That did not fix the issue and the second was to part need for correcting. He did not fill out his paperwork correctly to choice. Crystal green assignment claims representative, rather than follow up to understand this claim and say a part was order decided to deny this claim. Choice home warranty resolution team told me their policy is as such. Claims will be followed up the maintence representative when information is not clear. Crystal green refused. I asked if I should call and was denied the claim being looked into.

Choice home warranty does follow their business practices as described by their own representatives. I was not offered an option to resolve such issue. I then cancelled my relationship with choice. Even though I’ve paid for a months service that has not expired, I was told the issue will not be rectified so due to my cancellation. Their business practice is not as described.

Choice Home Warranty Home Warranty

2nd year of Choice Home Warranty coverage . No claims 1st year .

My dishwasher broke down and the tech was unable to repair it , Choice sent me an email saying " Great News CHW is replacing your system " That turned out to be a lie .

Instead of replacing the dishwasher they offered a $240 Lowe's gift card . The problem with that is , the least expensive dishwasher , on sale is $400.00 ( regular price $550) plus $35 sales tax and $100 delivery and installation .

Taking into account the $75 service fee , that leaves me $370 out of pocket for a " Covered item "

To add insult to injury , when I requested my " Guaranteed 30 Day full refund " 13 days after my renewal , CHW insisted on charging me for the prior month in which I was covered by last years policy and so refused to give me my full premium back .

Big mistake going with Choice . I am taking my GFs advice and going with Fidelity Home Warranty that has a long track record of being very fair with her .

Choice Home Warranty Plumbing warranty service

Have a covered issue and called CHW and within 24 hours we had an appointment with a technician for 3 days later. So far, so good. We rearranged our schedule and child care to be home during the scheduled time which came and went. We then called the assigned company and they informed us that they have not worked with CHW in years and have no appointment set. They did not know our name or address.

Called back CHW and asked about it. They wanted to send the assigned company an email and ask them to reschedule. I reminded CHW that the assigned company does not work with them and so they apologized and have "dispatched" the job again.

CHW found a new vendor and scheduled an appointment again. This time I called to follow up with the vendor who confirmed that CHW did in fact get in touch with them but had not sent through the work order. I then contacted CHW who assured me that the work order was sent.

Rescheduled my work day to accommodate the appointment time and once again, no one showed up. I called the vendor who stated the appointment was canceled cause the work order was not received even after calling CHW themselves. I called CHW again and was met with a rude customer service person, obviously from a foreign call center, who informed me that they have to start the process again for a new appointment!

Desired outcome: I would like the work to be done and receive some sort of compensation for my lost time and money. At the least, CHW should cover the $85 cost of the appointment co-pay.

Choice Home Warranty Plumbing system down for over a week

I am new with Choice Home Warranty and, n my opinion they are the worst home warranty company that I have used. Follow this sequence of events:

1. I called to report a septic system problem. The person they assigned to me was scheduled to be out in 4 days-much longer than their advertised response time.

3. On the due date, he called and said he was not going to make it.

4. They tried without success to get a replacement out then old me I needed to find someone.

5. I did and he came out to identify the problem.

6. We had to wait to get the repair approved.

7. My repairman came out and fixed it in in two hours.

8. Then I had to pay him out of my own pocket and then submit the invoice for approval and payment.

9. They approved the invoice but said that they would have to deduct $75 which is the fee they charge as a service call-this is after I did all the work.

10. Then they had the audacity to tell me they would reimburse me in 30 days.

If you are thinking about using Choice, I suggest you save yourself some headaches and go to someone else. And the icing on the cake was that EVERY customer service rep I spoke with was from a foreign country and they were all very difficult to communicate with.

CHOICE, you should ne embarrassed.

Desired outcome: Reimburse me the $75 they are deducting from my reimbursement payment-I had to do all the work, pay for the repair, and then wait for 30 days to be reimbursed.

Choice Home Warranty Vendor payment

Worked for choice home warranty and have not received payment. Completed multiple jobs, only 2 of which required payment from choice home. Total amount owed almost $2000. This was June of 2022. Was told I had to wait 30 days. Then told 180. Then told a computer glitch. Now I'm told maybe 365 days. These are lies and delay tactics. They do not pay vendors who provide the materials and labor. Do not work for them . They are liars and thieves.

Choice Home Warranty Home warranty

I filed a claim more than 45 days ago for a plumbing problem. Choice did not assign a technician so I had to get my own. While the policy states they reimburse for covered repairs (in this case a hot water heater that was not making hot water), they denied the claim. I was out more than $1800 on a covered expense.

They sold me home warranty policies for my home and for rental properties. In my experience, choice home warranty routinely cannot provide technicians and does not reimburse for covered claims. Do not purchase a home warranty from choice home warranty! The practices are designed to avoid paying covered claims and they will waste your time trying to get service.

Desired outcome: This company should be investigated by state attorney general.

Choice Home Warranty Payment not received

On 4/18/22 All Access Plumbing completed work order #[protected] and submitted an invoice #[protected] in the amount of $545.00. On 5/12/22 I followed up to confirm payment and was told that our account had been put on hold for 180 days for performance issues, i.e., transfer of work orders. We followed up in November and on December 12, 2022 when funds were to be released and mailed, were told that the payment was again put on hold with no reason and that an email was forwarded to upper management to resolve and mail our payment. I have been calling every week since then and still no resolution, no payment. It is now February 8, 2023. As of todays date, Choice Home Warranty and blocked our online account so we cannot sign in and they are in breach of their own contract. That being said, they have actually committed a theft of services because work was completed and they have not paid our company. Also, because they have breached their own contract, late charges currently accrued on the balance of $545.00 due is 10% per month not to exceed $30 per State of Tennessee law, from May 2022 thru February 2023 in the amount of $300 for a total of $845 which is currently due to our company from Choice Home Warranty and will continue to accrue until paid.

Desired outcome: Choice Home Warranty to pay their outstanding balance immediately. There is never a straight answer when you call their number and no direct contact names are ever given and no direct phone numbers.

Choice Home Warranty Service

My refrigerator, which is covered has been broken for three months. I have been told on 20 occasions to wait 24 hours. They apparently think it'll fix itself. Their customer service department is rude and they don't always speak english. I have been speaking with their resolutions department who has been telling me for over two months that it's in "dispatch" and to wait 24 hours and they'll get a technician assigned and will fix the issue. Service is absolutely terrible.

Choice Home Warranty Home insurance

Subject: claim [protected]

Policy# [protected]

We would like to dispute our claim which we believe was wrongfully denied. On November 30, we created the policy for the home 600 NE 191st, Miami FL 33179.

On January 18, 2023, we made a claim for an issue with pool on Wednesday.

However technician was only assigned on Thursday January 19, 2023. The technician only came on January 21, 2023.

We paid a $65 dollar service fee for the technician to inspect the issue and then we were informed last Friday evening that the claim was rejected.

On Monday, we had to find private contractor to do repair and paid $800 out of pocket,

Please note when insurance sales person sold me the policy on the policy, we asked explicitly if anything needs to be inspected before insurance kicks in. "Bruce" salesperson assured me that nothing needs to be inspected, however cannot make claims first 30 days. After 30 days, we were assured that anything that happens will be covered.

Pool was working perfectly fine, and always properly maintained properly until January 18, 2023 an as per the below policy statement, this loss should have been covered.

From the attached document " Does a home warranty cover older systems and appliances? A. A home warranty provides repair or replacement of all covered systems and appliances that were in the home and in proper operating condition on the agreement effective date, and that have been properly installed and maintained, no matter their age, make or model."

Please accept this as our notice that we do not agree with the claim denial and we hope we can resolve the dispute amicably. We are attaching the repair expense we incurred for your consideration.

Choice Home Warranty Air conditioning repair

I made an appointment 4 days ago. Finally, today the service tech that was assigned to come didn't have proper insurance for my building. He rudely told my wife that in order for him to get insured we would have to pay him and extra $150 on top of the Choice home warranty charge. We told him not to come and called to make a complaint with Home Choice, and to have them send me a professional. After my twenty-minute phone call I received notice from home choice that my claim was closed because I didnt pay the tech for calling me and trying to shake me down for more cash! See below

CHW Posted a message on your claim:

We are unable to proceed with your claim until the service call fee is paid to the vendor. The service fee is due once the vendor is on route to the home. Claim is closed.

I had to call back and spent another 30 minutes and reexplain what happened. Let see if they do anything.

Choice Home Warranty Home Warrantee

Choice Home Warrantee is a Fraud, Be Careful! We have all high-end equipment, and we were assured if anything went wrong that they have buying contracts to replace the equipment. They then talked us into a 5 year contract. We have submitted multiple claims to get appliances repaired. It takes months to get someone out. Sometimes they send repairmen out that refuse to work on the appliances. We now had our high-end range fail and they are telling us they won't offer anything to replace it. We are out of luck. They are a fraud! They offer nothing like other home warrantee companies that offer money to replace it.

Please don't make the same mistake we did!

Choice Home Warranty AC unit

Numerous phone calls and visits from technicians over the last year without resolution of the problem! Our AC was not working properly. It was completely out of refrigerant which a technician filled up for us. We paid for the refrigerant as that is not covered by Choice warranty. The technician said there is a leak which cannot be repaired. He filled out his paperwork to indicate the unit needs to be replaced. Choice warranty has ignored the report and is finding loopholes to not be responsible to replace the unit as the warranty stipulates. I have been a customer paying the premium on this policy for over five years! I expect this situation to be remedied ASAP.

Choice Home Warranty Unpaid Invoices.

We are a service provider for Choice Home Warranty (CHW) since 2021. We only perform the authorized repairs as per the submitted diagnosis report. We use the authorization number provided by CHW when we submit our invoices. On April 2022, CHW locked out our account and stopped sending us new jobs notifications on the basis that our prices are high. Even though, we did submit our price guide to them and they approved it. Of course when they locked the account, they stopped sending us payments for the completed repairs in the past. When we contacted the vendor relations, they confirmed that the payments will be released on October 2022, i.e. after 6 months. The payment has never being released and every time we contact the vendor relations they blame the delay on the billing department and other time on the IT system. Same excuses were given since we started following up with on November of last year. We have incurred the cost of the repairs for their customers in good faith, and we had to pay our suppliers for the cost of goods hoping that they will fulfil their commitment and release our payment as they have promised on October 2022 but in vain.

Desired outcome: Release all pending invoices.

Choice Home Warranty Dryer repair

I had appt for 1/24 to repair dryer. They cancelled and cancelled again 1/25. Promised to be here 1/26 between 8-5. I actually got updates 3 times. At 4:02 got a message rescheduled again and not even for today. Not till 2/6. I’ve had to go to laundromat twice as I have a sick handicapped daughter and need dryer. How can you do this three times and then make a customer wait over a week. How does he get off just quitting before 5. Then you cannot get a human on the phone. I’m 80 and can’t take the stress of him doing this again in 2/6. I need help
