Cinemark sexual harassment

Hi, I previously worked at Cinemark in Fort Worth Tx, Rave ridgmar 13 . One of the managers there Alec Albright made my experience there very uncomfortable. While working he would say dirty things to me and speak sexually to me, he would tell me how when I turned 18 for his birthday present I could have sex with him and other things of that nature . I'm underage, he is way older then me and he's a manager. They did absolutely nothing when I told them about it . They completely ignored what I was telling them and continued to let him do the things he did .

Cinemark Management

Let me start by saying I love movies. I have since I was a child. To this day I still very much enjoy going to the movies. I go quite often and I never go without buying a minimum of popcorn and soda. Its the entire experience. I have been going to Cinamark since the late 90's. I really like Cinamark. It's clean and comfortble, the concessions are good and the people have always been polite and enjoyable. On 9/15/18 my girlfriend and I went to a 9:55pm show. The people behind us would not shut up. I was getting very irritated and wanted to say something but my gal hates it when I do things like that. So I just kept my cool and was trying to enjoy the movie as best I could. Pretty soon my better half stands up and simply looks at these people. Kind of a polite nonverbal way to say, "Hey, come on huh"? When she sat back down there was a bunch of giggling and laughing. They didn't appear to be teenagers but immature young "adults". I didn't go out to get anyone to talk to these knuckleheads for 2 reasons. 1. I never leave the theater once the movie starts. I hate missing things. 2. This same thing happened to me another time about 2 years ago. At that incident I went to the manager after the show and told him what had happened. He was very cool and said he was sorry and gave me 2 free passes. By the way, that's a good manager. He understood that sometimes you just have to put out a couple fires. Its always better to keep the customer happy and coming back to spend more money. So I figured after the show on 9/15/18 I would simply tell the manager what happened and get a couple free passes for the trouble. That way there is no need to get confrontational in the theater and cause trouble with these rude people. After the show I requested the manager. While waiting I spoke to a security guard that asked me to come and get someone in the future. He does not mind going in and telling people to be quite. Very nice young man but again. I don't leave the theater once the movie starts. Unless its to go home. The manager shows up. I was calm, and polite, and explained the situation. She was nice too, however she said that now that the show is over she can no longer give me 2 free tickets. Well, yes she can. Its happened before. I explained the previous situation and she said "I'm sorry, but I can't do that". She made us feel like since we didn't come out and say anything that perhaps we were making this up to try and get 2 free tickets. For real? She then offered to take down my name and number but I don't know why. I said forget it. I would come back the next day. So, the next day I returned thinking that I might get a manager this time that wants to try and make it right. I got a different manager this time. She was nice and polite as was I. I explained what happened. I told her why I prefer going to Cinamark as opposed to the other theater in town. I even told her that I was in the Cinamark theater 3 days prior with my 2 adult sons to watch the new Predator movie. (I spent $50 dollars for concessions that day). She said that there is no policy for giving customers free passes when this happens. It is simply up to the manager working that makes the decision. However, she did offered me 2 free passes. That was cool. Good for her. I really did appreciate the offer. Unfortunately now it's too late for 2 free passes. For my trouble now I want 4. If the manager from the previous evening would have made it right in the first place instead of exacerbating and further irritating the situation then 2 would have been more than fine. This new manager said no. She said she would be happy to give me 2 passes but not 4. I said thank you but no. I also told her this is a really unfortunate situation. I will never again go to a Cinamark theater. I'm sure I will never hear from the customer complaint department. Perhaps they will at least get a good laugh about it.

Cinemark customer service

Cinemark is my family and friends theater of choice always. Word of mouth can help or hurt a business and we have spread the word that this theater is the number one choice for parking, cleanliness, comfort and choice of films.
On Wednesday Oct 12th at 4pm, my sister and I went to see "God bless the broken road". We had to go inside to the concession stand to purchase tickets as no one was out front and ticket machines were not working.
We were going to purchase popcorn prior to going in and proceeded to the only line open. There were four girls behind the counter and the cashier apparently was having an issue with the customer at the counter. There were I believe two people in front of me at the time. No one addressed the people in line to say someone would be right with us of to acknowledge that we were there. The cashier called someone and a lady came out from a side door. She went straight to the register and said nothing to anyone. I waited for several minutes and then proceeded to my theater with no popcorn. My concern is not my popcorn but rather the customer service training put into place for your employees. An acknowledgement that we were there would have been something. The other three girls behind the counter were leaning against the back counter and just chit chatting. I could not understand why they did not open another register or explain possibly they were all training and could not help. The lady who came out of the side door with keys said nothing to these employees either. Frankly it was embarrassing for your company to be represented in this way. Maybe the employees don't realize that revenue is the point of the concession stands. We don't have to have it but yet choose to purchase, or that customers are a priority and the smallest of comments can make a customer more patient. But to be completely ignored while standing in line by not one, but five employees is ridiculous. I feel if you do not want to start loosing business, management should have a refreshment course in customer service.
My sister and I were the only ones in our theater on this day which makes it even more distasteful as employees were not in the weeds.
I hope this goes directly to the theater in Mesa and this that this does not happen again. There are a lot of theaters to choose from in Mesa and Cinemark can not afford to loose what business they have or the opportunity to grow business.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Cinemark refill policy

I would like to suggest that you inform your franchises/employees about what constitutes as a free refill. I have several times been allowed to get a free refill of your Coke Cola Slurpee if it was a Large size in the past. On 9/8/2018 I was told that refills for your Slurpee are not a thing and never have been. Please reconsider this stance, Regal and AMC both allow a free refill if you bought a Large size and I have been given free refills of that size in the past at your Springfield location.

Cinemark I am complaining about the gm mistreating his employees

Hi, I am a recent customer that came to watch a movie at the suncoast hotel & casino. A couple days ago, I overheard the GM (Mr. Johnson), speaking to his employees in a disrespectful manner, & mistreating them. I also heard one of the staff members say they didn't like how he talks to them like their his kids. Now, there are certain levels of respect, but to disrespect your staff & tell them to call you "daddy" & other things is just outrageous. I really hope this Situation gets resolved.

Cinemark movie sound

Tuesday 7, August 2018 - 9:45a.m. Showing" Mission Impossible Fallout" in Theater #4
We were all set to enjoy a movie this morning and as usual the sound setting was extremely loud - as (I assume) it was still set for the Monday evening crowd.
We usually have to ask that the volume be lowered because of so few people in the theater this early (our choice - just for that reason). My husband went out to the Lobby area and found a couple of Bosses, asked them to please turn down the sound as there were only about 7 people scattered around this theater (#4) . I was having to put my finger in my ears to lower the sound (which brought the level down to normal). Well we waited and waited nothing was done. We decided to leave and got a refund. The ticket taker was the only one who cared why we were leaving. This happens every single time we go, usually the person we ask to please turn it down complies with our request. We received our refund to the $60.00 Gift Card we have but if this complaint isn't taken seriously it will be the last time we come to Cinemark South Park Meadows. Maybe you should make the Boss sit in one of the movies at first showing for the day and see how extremely loud it is.

Cinemark theater room

Walked in the movies at 6:15 and the clean up crew came and told us to step out so they could clean. We walked out and like 10 mins later they told us we could go back in. When we walked out the room was nasty and when we walked back in the room was still nasty. Look like the only picked up the popcorn bags and didn't sweep or clean the seats. I never seen anything like this here and I was upset because if I'm paying $9 for movie I wanna be comfortable.

Cinemark employee

At this theater, there was an employee which was rude to multiple of the other employees and customers. I've only seen her a few times, but every time that I have seen her, it has always been the same; she's rude and/or disrespectful to both customers and other employees. She refuses to do more than bare minimum, as well; after she completes an order, she won't help the customer any more. If any of the employees ask her for help, she scoffs at them, then complains and whines until she doesn't have to do whatever she is being asked to do. Additionally, I've run in on her while she was in a restroom before my movie was going ti start, and she was on her phone; after my movie, I used the restroom again, and she was still sitting on the counter, in the same spot, on her phone.
If I acted like this while at my own job, I would be fired very quickly; I would expect at least some discipline if this is regular with this employee.
I took time to ask around, trying to find her name, and have been told that her name is Kirstie; I didn't catch a last name.

Cinemark cell phone use

Booked two tickets online for four person row. Guy next to us took his phone out four times in the first half hour of the movie. I politely asked him "excuse me could you please put your phone away" he replied "[censored] you I'll look at my [censored]ing phone" I went to security who followed me back in asking him to not look at his phone. From that point the person proceeded to loudly threaten to "beat my [censored]" after the movie and his girlfriend kept going on "why go to the movies? [censored]" I left (did not finish the movie) and got security again and spoke with a manager who gave me a refund. The couple in question should absolutely have been asked to leave, however, for my own safety, I left as soon as possible. I am extremely dissatisfied given the situation and the couple should have been asked to leave after the first encounter, considering the hostility of the response. This is not the first time I've encountered people like this at this theater and hoped coming tonight would be different. Although I was refunded for the tickets, I was not refunded for the money spent on food or the time I wasted at this theater. I'd appreciate a follow up from management and as of right now I will not be returning to this theater or any Cinemark theater as the situation has not been effectively rectified.

I have been to the Cinemark In Evanston, IL, several times and not one-time have I seen employees checking on people to verify if someone is using their cell phones during the movie which the manager stated they do. On December 27, 2019, a young woman and an older lady were told politely to shut her phone off by a person the same row. I was sitting on the back row. The young girl did that for a short time & proceeded to turn her phone back on to go shopping and was not paying any attention to the movie. I then explained to her that the light from the phone is blaring in my eyes & to please turn off the phone. Again, she did that for a few minutes and put it back on. In the meantime, her Mother kept going in and out of the theater several times. (Bladder problem or waiting to see if another movie is ready to start to watch that for free.). Then they started talking & I asked them to be quiet. The mother started yelling at me & I said they were being very disrespectful for patrons who paid money to see & hear the movie and not paid to hear them talking & using their cell phones. The Mother left the theater and complained to the management and then the management asked me to leave the theater because the Mother stated I was being a threat to their safety. I refused to leave because I was not threatening them and I was not in the wrong & told management they can talk to me when the movie is over. (which was done). They told me to contact them instead of the patrons when this problem occurs again. I go to the movies often and this happens all the time and management does nothing about this problem. There is a serious addictive problem with some people who use their cell phones all the time while driving a car or at a movie theater and something needs to be done to prevent this issue.

I asked her if she gave her food free and her answer was "yes" I said ok whatever went I got my food one of the hot dogs were old! I opened and the bread was hard and smell old I explained the manager he was polite and get me a fresh one my point here is how they can have that kind of service when I have a 2 years old trying to eat an old food 😤😤😤

Cinemark stereotypical discrimination customer service cinemark 12 rosenberg tx

My daughter and I came to see a movie... We go to the concession and she gets a 6$ icee... At that time I tried to get a margarita I was instructed that I had to order from the bar register! I go to the bar register to get a margarita and the dude wes asks for both me and my 15 year old daughters id as she is holding her 6$ icee. Keep in mind he was standing directly next to the first cashier and heard everything I was told. I asked why he needs to see both of our id and he said because it appeared that both of us are looking at the bar menu... I told him she is 15... She is not blind and she can read I was looking for the price of a margarita and she was trying to help me locate it... He said it doesn't matter it appeared to him that we were both looking and he refused to sale me a margarita because he was not comfortable without seeing her id that she doesn't even have because she is 15... I asked how could this be a problem... She just purchased an icee and as instructed I am now trying to purchase a margarita for myself and I asked for 1 margarita not 2... He had no explanation except we both appeared to be looking at the bar menu... Which he heard when I originally tried to purchase a margarita as she was purchasing her icee but again was instructed to purchase it at the next register... I asked to speak to a manager and that is when ms. Lewis came over and would not do anything just said that if he doesn't feel comfortable selling it to me then there is nothing they can do... I feel harassed and stereotyped! I'm not the type of person to buy my 15 year old alcohol but I guess in his eyes I am... And in ms. Lewis eyes that action was justified... Even after she agreed that it made no sense seeing that my daughter was standing there holding an icee. This hurt me to my core and made me very upset because it wasnt the fact that he wouldn't sale me a margarita but the principal that he wouldn't sale me a margarita for an unjustifiable reason was unbelievable... My daughter isn't blind the regular menu sits right next to the bar menu... But it appears that we were both looking at the bar menu even if she was looking at the bar menu she doesn't drink.. But I guess in his eyes she appears to drink and I appear to allow her to... Wow!

Cinemark concession stand

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the lack of courtesy and customer service at this locations' popcorn concession stand.
I am a long time patron of this cinema. This afternoon, I purchased our usual large soda and popcorn combo. During the movie, my son refilled the popcorn. He unfortunately spilled the majority upon returning. He went to get another refill and was refused. I questioned management who adamantly stated one refill limit. We were not given the courtesy of explaining the need for a refill. Also I have not seen a refill limit posted.
This may not be the last time I visit your cinema, however it will be the last time I patronize your popcorn concession stand.

Cinemark noise level and distracting reflective screen

My wife and I go to our local Cinemark (Rave at 53rd Street, Davenport, IA) theater quite often but not since it was remodeled with the new reclining seats (Very Nice!) so we decided to go today, 19 June, 2018. To our displeasure, the movie showing next door was so loud that it drowned out a lot of the audio in our movie. Also, the reflective screen was so bad that it made the movie look very grainy like an old 70s movie. Quality has been diminished so much, we will have to think twice about going to this theater again.

Cinemark clackamas town center

Went to go see a movie w/a friend on May 29, 2018- "Mindy" a manager, was standing out in the lobby greeting customers. She was wearing a top that exposed a large amount of her breasts- they were literally popping out of her shirt. It made me feel very uncomfortable; inappropriate & unprofessional for the workplace. Too "friendly" with some guests.

Cinemark management

I am absolutely appalled by what you call "management" in your company. As a customer I know that finding someone in management is very difficult they're never on the floor to help you with anything. And knowing people who work there I'm told that management hides in their offices for hours on end playing on their phones or having personal conversations rather than working and managing like they're are being paid to do. Trying to boss employees around without ever leaving their seat. Never lifting a finger to help. Not to mention the multiple accounts of mangers walking around eating the food they're suppose to be selling. It's disgusting. When you have employees ready to walk out the second they come in for their shift because they know they will be doing every bit of the work as well as getting harassed by their superiors who sit and do nothing but complain about the way they do things without ever being shown how to do them correctly. I myself have manager experience and I can proudly say I've never treated employees this way. I've never hid in an office all day and force others to do my work. Cinemarks management is an absolute joke. I'm surprised your movie theater is still running. Keep hiring people who do not take their job seriously and it won't be for much longer.

Cinemark new policy for handbags

Cinemark under the leadership of CEO Mark Zoradi once again has attempted to disrupt the joy of movie going. Now a new requirement for women requires a size limit on handbags. With no advanced warning i.e. during trailers or social media, we were told we cannot enter the theatre because of a new rule. A sign in the lobby was easily missed. Several questions come to mind. Why women's handbags as there was nothing listed about backpacks? How about teenagers with big baggy pants and large pockets to house a hand gun?

With a downward spiral of movie theater attendance why now? A year or so ago Cinemark introduced advanced ticket purchase and seat assignments, another bad idea unless you benefit from that increase in revenue.

Cinemark's board of directors should be aware that many of its movie goers would rather sit at home in their own recliners and stream relatively new movie releases. If I were a member of their board, I would be asking Mr. Zoradi and his out of touch team how this new rule will entice families to flock to a local Cinemark theatre? If his intent is to make his theatres safe then remember "A terrorist hopes to cause the target to overreact in a way that undermines its legitimacy and authority, and this provides a moral victory" (The Threat Matrix by G.M. Graff).

Cinemark, you've lost a large number of movie goers from this family.

Cinemark customer service

Last night I took my son to see Rampage at Sugarhouse Cinemark in UT. As I purchased my tickets, the young man asked me if I qualified for Senior Citizen Discount! I said No and I was stunned! I have never been asked that before anywhere. And I assume that those who do qualify will ask for it. I also felt embarrassed. I recently turned 54 and when I got home I googled the age of Senior Citizen Discount at Cinemark and saw that it is 62+. It's been bothering me all day and frankly it's also depressing. And I feel that it was rude and disrespectful. I hope this isn't how you train people to act when selling tickets, because it doesn't make me want to go to that theater anymore.

Sincerely,

Katarina Carlin

Got hired at the location in desoto... No one takes the job serious... Not even management.. If they did... They would take more consideration when hiring new employees... The theater is always dirty.. Managers walk by messes.. Prefer to talk about non-irrelevant issues during work... Foul language used in front of customers... Highly recommend a inside look at the establishment...

Cinemark xd theater presentation

I recently seen a showing of Pacific Rim 2 in one of your XD theaters and needless to say, I wasn't impressed with the sound that you boast about. The surround sound is decent, but the sound behind the screen needs work. It doesn't come out at you like it should when action scenes are going across the screen. It's NOT dynamic as it should be. I went to the showing for an escape after a long, grueling week and I couldn't fully enjoy it because the sound was not up to par. Hopefully your company will work on this issue, because sound buffs like me won't settle for anything less.
