My siblings and I bought our tickets ( 2for Deadpool, 2 for Race) and realized we were 45 mins early and left to come back closer to the movie time. We came in and teenage sister and brother proceeded walking towards the movie and a Caucasian obese women with short brunette hair stopped them yelling do you have a ticket?! I understood, cautioned them back...

Please advise the Cinemark Corp that their Florence KY VIP upper seating areas are absolutely falling apart. The staff admits that the complaints have fallen on death ears. The seats are showing the stuffing used to assemble when new. I have attempted to email the CEO however he choses not to respond. I think that the patrons would all be willing to pay $3-$5 each more if we could only get a remodel.
rude and condescending ticket seller.
My sister and I wanted to see an rated R movie at cinemark. She is fifteen years old and I am 19 years old. We were unaware of the policy when walking up to purchase the tickets that you need a parent or guardian with you to go and see the movie if you are under 18 because this policy is never enforced. We walked up to the ticket seller and she was very rude to us and did not give us any alternatives and just said, " you need your IDs". I was very angry with her I bought the tickets for my sister and I on the computer because that is what all of my friends under 18 do, and she was very busy selling tickets that she stopped what she was doing, waited until I purchased the tickets, and caused a scene. she said " you still need your IDs " and she was being absolutely rude and ridiculous. I will never go to this movie theatre ever again until she no longer works there which won't be for long because she's old.
So you're mad that the employee did her job. You weren't aware of the posted MPAA regulation concerning underage children seeing R-rated films because you were lucky enough to get away with it before. I assume you can read? That policy is posted all over the place. So this time someone did their job and you didn't get your way. No sympathy here.
very degraded 30 year old movie theater
I am disgusted as an American citizen to have experienced this movie venue. Apparently the people of Paducah are ablivious to any modernization whatsoever. I have actually been in third world countries that had better theaters. My question is does the corporate level not see or have knowledge of the situation in Paducah as pitiful. The best action would be...

Hello, my name is Chris Boyd and I work for the Cinemark in Chesapeake Square code 1052. I've been working for Cinemark for four years now, I work hard, I am always early for my shift, I'm never rude to customers, I'm just all around a really good employee . Read full review of Cinemarkfalse movie times
Three times in the past month I have looked up movie times on their website and when I would go to see the movie I'm always told that it is not playing. It's really annoying that they can not provide correct movie times online for the customers. When I try to tell them that on their website it says the movie is playing at that time I get attitude from the employees. If they can't provide correct movie times than why even put movie times online at all..
I'm very confused. If you go to the actual cinemark.com website the times there are linked directly to the movie schedule on the computers at the theater. There should be no physical way for these to be different. If you go to a third party website then Cinemark isn't responsible if the third party yayhoos can't get the times right.
No one was visible at ticket counter so i went to concession to purchase tickets but was told i couldnt buy them there. run around!

I have been thrilled to see "Inherent Vice" which is a film opening on December 12 this year. Unfortunately, after tying to buy advanced tickets or at least planning to attend a first screening, it has become clear that this film is not playing in a theatre anywhere near the area I live in. This seems bizarre in that I first saw previews from this film at my local cinemark theatre. Why would a theatre advertise a film that is not only not going to play at that particular theatre, but in fact no where in the entire branch of such a theatre company. It's not just that the film won't be played in the Houston area-it will not be played at any cinemark theatre. Why, why, why would advertisements be shown if there is no intention of delivering said package of what's being advertised. Not only is this poor marketing, it is incredibly poor management on the part of Cinemark. I am hugely disappointed, so much so that I wrote this complaint which probably won't bring the movie to a nearby theatre, but at least I said something.

The employees are treated like robots and expected to go hours without drinking water or taking breaks. They require the employees to wear dress pants and forbid them from wearing yoga pants even though they are black and suitable for the job.

I paid for bucket of popcorn and after eating half of the popcorn I stuck my finger with something that was in the bucket, it was a piece of metal in the bucket and took it to the front desk and showed the bucket to. An elderly lady that was the manager, and she looked in the bucket and said oh my gosh the crew forget to secure that, and grabbed it quickly from bucket and said sorry you found it in your bucket. She did not ask me if I was ok as it had sharp point, which I had poked my finger with and was sick to my stomach after I left theater. All she said was give me your name and address so I can send you a couple of free passes. I am a regular to cinemark theaters in Lubbock and have never had any problems . I am disappointed since there carelessness has my stomach still upset

Read full review of Cinemarklack of ushers to monitor phone useage during shows
This theater and maybe others hire people as Ushers, now I was an usher years ago and my job required me to actually go into the theater and monitored patrons behavior to make sure everyone could enjoy their show. Now a days with Mega theaters where as many as 20 different shows play all day and into the evenings. Ushers are hired to do housekeeping and after each show lets out. As a patron in every show I have attended people are warned to quiet their cell phones so as not to disturb fellow patrons violators are warned by the film of course that if they violate policy they will be asked to leave the theater. Well I'm here to inform you its all bull. The camera booths are all automated and not one human is in the booth to monitor anything nor are Ushers even allowed to go into the theater. Unless during the showing a patron gets fed up with the distractions and goes out into the hall and flags down a supervisor. then that supervisor will go into the theater and give the violator a warning to turn off their cell phone and put it away. The real Ushers are way too busy running back and forth between theaters and acting as janitors to take any time to actually usher anyone. I as a theater goer feel as if I've gotten the short end of the stick as it were. Lets say serious is happening in the theater patrons have got to depend on someone else to go out of the show and flag down a manager to stop the problem. I feel like if there's a problem I've already paid good money for them to have an usher readily available to fix the problem with out my having to be inconvenienced.

degrading service
my younger brother was followed and hunted down in front of the whole theater room taken out of the theater for misplacing his ticket when the lady ticket tearer clearly remembered us and then they made him look through the trash and had someone follow him like he was stealing something not only was it degrading to look for your movie ticket in the trash in front of all these people he was treated like if he was a criminal when i payed for the tickets i had mine the lady remembered him and I my 16 year old brother was about to cray he is extremely hurt and embarrassed and upset about tonight especially because we are regular customers this could have been handled in a different manner not in the way they did
manager 7
Manager Jim Gee an elderly, heavy set, Caucasian male refused to let me purchase tickets to an R-Rated movie for myself and niece, who is a minor. I advised him that I was her guardian and not the parent. He said by law I could not accompany her without her parents consent and its under the MP-something? I asked "you're a manager here and do not even know what law you guys should abide by?" He told me to look it up myself. And if I purchase the tickets online he will make sure his staff stops me at the palladium, and I will not be let in unless I have LEGAL DOCUMENTATION proving that I am her Legal
Guardian. According to the MPAA, a minor under the
age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or Adult
guardian to see an R-Rated movie. Assuming an adult
guardian is over 21, like in most atmospheres. I am
25 years old and she's 15. They never questioned me when I would take my son (before 6pm) to watch a movie of any rating. PG-13 OR RATED-R.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
If you're her legal guardian then you'd have a card that you're instructed to leave in your wallet and carry with you at all times. If you have no such documentation you are not in fact her LEGAL guardian and do not have the right to take her to a rated-R movie per MPAA regulations. The theater is correct in stopping you at the "palladium" as they don't want to get in trouble by the MPAA (yes they do secret shopper checks).
Rules are rules. Cinemark had its 25 year anniversary. Meaning it has been 25 freaking years since the R rate policy has been put into place. Learn them, live them, love them. Also, someone shouldn't been a guardian if they are 25 and can't spell PODIUM.
manager
I am a employee of the Cinemark Century Theater in Terra Linda. My issue is with a Senior Manager who has been unreasonable with her discipline methods, and tired of the favoritism that I think is being shown in the workplace. While I do fully understand the Employee Guidelines and that I am breaking them, her requests are not backed by any of these. I called in sick, because I had a fever at 101.3 and she told me to get a doctor's note for that one day. I did not call out any other days, and that was the only one. As it was a Sunday she requested that I would go to the ER and pay out of my pocket just to avoid a write-up. Her argument was about how I had swapped my shifts several times on Sunday in the past, but recently I have not done that. If she had looked a little closer, I only did that to my closing shifts, and many times I chose to still work them. I was also issued one for something when I was off the clock and had managed to get mixed up with a customer, when I think for anyone who has a reasonable sense of judgment could say I was not in the fault for. This could have been entirely avoided if another manager had done their job, and yet me and the other employee involved were written-up for it. I've worked for this company for nearly a year and a half, and these are my first two writes, both recent, and both written up by the same manager.
Upon recently I was given a full amount of days, seeing as the previous manager understood that I wanted that and needed that. Now that this manager is in charge, not only are my shifts being cut, but only the people she seems to personally get along with are getting a good amount of shifts. I think you could describe me as a good working, disregarding my cell phone use on the job. (I don't mind admitting that) I do everything I am supposed to and more, and I feel like I'm being disciplined for that.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am also a Cinemark Employee who basically had the same issue. I was sent home because I failed to present my manager a Doctor's note about my absence. I've called in twice both time I was sick with a fever and vomiting both about 5 months apart from each other. When I walked in the door and my manager asked me if I had a Doctor's note and I replied "No, I went to the ER and they wanted me to pay a 140.00 copay just for my visit when my mother who is a nurse at a doctor's office told me what I had and treated me" I counted in my register and was already on the clock when my managers came back and called me in to tell me that I needed to go home and stay there until I present a doctors note. One of my managers even had the nerve to say "Have your mom's doctor write you a note real quick and bring it in" Which is TOTALLY ILLEGAL at least in the state of Texas. My mother called my General Manager to explain it further and tried to reason with him so I may return to work his reply was, "He knows the Cinemark policy" I didn't receive a write up nor did anyone ask me for a note the first time I called in which was back in October so I thought it was the norm that I didn't have to bring in a note if it was for just at least a day. The fact that he said I should know Cinemark policy is based upon assumption considering that when I first started at Cinemark I didn't receive a copy of any sort of employee handbook. I can't even describe the book's cover because I've never received or seen one. To be sent home and the threat of losing my job and suggesting that I do something illegal to cover my absence is ridiculous. Minimum wage isn't worth going to jail.
vultures
Cinefraud is the worst theater ever. Yeah some say costumer service is their no.1 goal, yeah right
First their CEO uses his dollars to regulate how people get married, as if that is any of his business.
Next they take our benefits at our Egyptian 24 theater, including our food discount; and ontop of that they
lower our pay. They blame it on some crap like getting a new server, yet they can buy 12 HD TVs and waste those on the menu. Then their managers are a*holes and ###ed; kept telling me to cook the hot dogs despite the fact that I had a long a*s line to serve, I guess he never figured to get someone from concessions to do it. They are such vultures and cheapskates that they even took the benefit from us that allowed us to use courtesy cups and popcorn, and raised the prices on the employee vending machine! These vultures rob everything and leave nothing but chains.

My boyfriend and I went to see a movie that was rated R and we were 16 and 17, but we had his mother with us to buy the tickets and the teller said they can't go in unless they have college ID's since it's rated R. Well the sign just to the left of us said you had to be 17 and have and ID with you to show proof of age, the guy himself looked to be only just out of high school. but anyway he started to give us a hard time, so we turned around and went outside then decided to just see another movie. We went back inside and asked for tickets to see another movie and this time we went to the other teller behind the window, while we were getting our tickets, the guy who gave us problems before decided to speak up and said "just so you know if you decide to go to another theater we will catch you and throw you out" and we just looked at him and said "ok we weren't going to do that because we aren't that type of people" then he just "I don't care, im just telling you that if you decide to do that you will be thrown out" and said that about another 3 times till i finally spoke up and said "sir, do we look stupid enough to do that or are you just that ignorant?" and took our tickets and left, but he still was going on and on and on so my boyfriends mom stepped in and told them how to treat customers. When we came out of the movie the manager and three other people along with the lady was in the teller's booth, but the guy who we had problems with wasn't.
Ok, I know this whole interaction seemed rude to you, but you have to understand there are kids who DO buy tickets to another movie just to sneak into an R movie and then we have to kick them out and do a refund and it's a huge pain in our butts. That being said, I would have probably phrased it a little differently but still you would have known that if I DID catch you in the wrong movie you would have to leave, and there would be no refund. It's a friendly warning so there are no surprises or tears later on.
The ID thing wasn't explained well to you, it looks like. You have to show a valid picture ID complete with birthdate to get into the movie if you're 17 or over. The 16 year old MUST be accompanied into the movie by his/her parent per MPAA rules. This is so the parent can monitor what their child is watching and remove said child from content they don't approve of. Enough parents complained about not having control over what their children were exposed to that this rule went into affect.
Was she hot? LOL, jokes aside, contact the manager wherever this is and make damn well sure this trash gets fired. You shouldn't have to put up with that kind of crap ANYWHERE; daughters with you or not.
clientèle
Think before you take your children into this particular theater.
We sat through a quarter of a movie with a group of dirty mouthed boys who would not stop cursing when I asked them directly. One of the boys made a threatening comment to me, and when I did not back down they all became even cruder and louder. Since the movie was recent and there were no other seats we could not relocate. The boys were making very crude sexual observations in the presence of my daughter. There were young women, not escorted, present. When I spoke to the manager he called the police. But since he went to this level of intervention with out even speaking to the young men, I understood this sort of behavior was typical in this theater.
The management refunded our money, but WE had to leave. The foul mouthed boys were still there.

managers
Im an employee of the Cinemark in Harker Heights, and i have a many complaints on sevral managers. I am aware that managers are put in that position to keep things in order but all of our managers except a key few ( Renaldo Vasques and Juston Wittig) are constantly doing the complete opposite. They steal food from concession and list it as waste when ever they feel like it. They watch movies on the clock, they play arcade games while on the clock while in uniform, and they steal tokens. A manager by the name of cookie (dont know her last name) sleeps in the theaters on the clock. Im aware that some of them partake in the usage of drugs (pills mainly). Nikia Moses treats few better than the rest and its really unfair.
I would be happy if you could do something about this.
