NONE of these charges are legitimate. I realize that a lot of these charges are just resubmissions of charges that I questioned previously. But this has been going on so long, I don’t know where I stand! Every time I try to get Citibank to STOP charging me for any Microsoft charges, they just close my account and reissue me another card. I have been issued 4 or 5 different cards within the past year. But the charges continue!
I used to charge over $50,000 per year on this account – but because of all the card reissuances, I have almost entirely stopped using the account. I have tried to get Microsoft to stop sending these charges – to no avail. I would like to see a COMPLETE RECONCILIATION my dealings with Microsoft on my Master Card since March 5, 2021. If you can demonstrate to me that you have made me whole for all these bogus charges, I will resume using this care; if not, I will close the account and terminate my relationship with Citibank.
Personal and Business banking
I have been a Citi Gold customer for 30 years.
The customer service has deteriorated consistently for several years now, starting with the closing of so their branches in NJ, and now is collapsing in the NYC branches as well.
I have my personal and business accounts at Citi on Third Avenue and 63rd Street.
I had a "Wealth Manager" there who was very helpful for a while, until he disappeared, with no further contact information available, and no one to contact related to my accounts. I have left a message with the branch manager, but no response. I have been transferred there from the 800 number people, but it just disconnects as soon as they transfer me to the branch. I'm pretty sure they just closed the branch without telling anyone... at least not me.
Today I followed the directions on the Citibusiness to purchase an investment CD, but it was riddled with technical difficulties and confusion and I was not able to invest the money.
Its going to take considerable time for me to unwind my accounts and Citi and move to a better bank, but the time seems to have come.
Desired outcome: Humanized customer service at the branch level. Not the 800 number level.
Sears Citi Bank M/C
My purse was stolen on December 19, 2021. I informed this company of the theft on this day. My card was used on the date above. I did not make this or any other purchases with this card, after 3;00p.m. on the above date, which was the time my purse was stolen. I am bombarded with calls daily about my "delinquent" account! Plus, you have added late fees for every month since then.
If I need to send a copy of my theft report from the Sheriff's Dept., I can produce that also.
I have called and it does no good! I am sick and tired of all this harassment!
Desired outcome: I would appreciate, if your Company would do your job and check this info and correct all these charges I did not make..
Citi Mastercard Fraud Customer "NO-SERVICE:
In late November 2021, a fraudulent website I'd unwittingly used stole my CITI MasterCard number and used it to place three orders at Walmart.com. When I notified CITI of the charges they promptly issued me a new credit card. They also acknowledged that two of the three charges were fraudulent. But they have refused to recognize the third one as fraudulent. Even Walmart told me they recognized it as fraudulent because there was no proof of delivery.
The email and phone number that were listed as mine for these orders are not mine.
Despite numerous phone calls and a letter with documentation sent to the fraud department, I still have to start over from scratch with any barely-English-speaking customer "service" representative I manage to connect with. Today, however, none of the calls connect to anyone at all.
Add to this the fact that I was unable to use my card to pay a deposit for a trip to France, to a company in France, because CITI kept blocking it despite my advance warning, and it's no wonder I've severed my relationship with the company (other than continuing to try to get the fraudulent charge removed from my now closed account).
Desired outcome: I expect to have the charge removed and a refund for the minimum payments and interest charges I've paid while waiting for this to be fixed.
Credit cards held by Citibank
3 of my credit cards have been lock/ closed, with no notice or valid reasons. My payment history is excellent and I cannot get through to Customer service, to find out why. I spoke, with the credit bureaus, bankruptcy office, but not customer service. Each time I call the numbers and give my card number/SSN, my call are routed to Account Recovery/collection. I was told by one of the in account recovery that my accounts had an error report of bankruptcy on them. I have not file bankruptcy, nor late payments to either of cards. Other creditors that I have accounta with, it is business as usual, no negative information with them. Citibank business is not legal or acceptable. This foolishness, should not be allowed or practiced. I have over the years keep all of my accounts current and now this false reporting and closing of my account with no communication. Citibank, should not be allowed to harm customers in this way.

Fraudulent cashier's check
Citibank presented me with a fraudulent cashier's check in the amount of $1221.87 earlier this month for a closed checking account. The front of the check is very faded, and you could barely see the information on the front. I took the check around town and tried to cash it and could not. I then tried to do a mobile deposit with the check to the other citi checking account and was told by them I could not do a mobile deposit for 90 days. Customer service then told me to deposit in an ATM or mail the check back to Citibank for deposit. Why would I need to mail a check back for deposit that they just mailed me? This is a&& backwards and a scam at most.
I took the check to my local bank and deposited it. It was quickly placed on hold for 7 days. The Branch Manager told me this was a blank check as no funds showed up when it cashed; a cashiers check is usually funded immediately. There is no one at the bank to reach out to about this, so I couldn't give the manager a point of contact.
This is low and criminal. They are desperate to take money from consumers and are headed to the point of no return. I will file a police report on them. As I informed them about the check already and told them to refund my money into my other checking account. I have never seen a bank conduct themselves in the way Citibank has. I hope they close down and all go to jail.
Desired outcome: Refund me my money and do not send me another check.
Checking bank account number [protected]
My account was closed on the 17th of January and i had $1200 in my account
The account was closed without my knowledge and i'm sure nothing was wrong with my account.
After so many phone calls i was told to wait for my check its been more than 2 months now and there is still no check.
I want my money in 7 days. why is citibank trying to steal my money?
Desired outcome: I want my money sent to me as soon as possible. its been over 60days now
Money is not in my account
I deposited 500 dollars in cash at 21710 Jamaica Ave Queens, NY 11428. I deposited on February 4th in the afternoon at 5:30. After I deposit the money, I press the machine to get an email receipt which I always do; however, the following day, I realize that I did not see the 500 deposit. I called the bank, and they said they would investigate and credit the 500 dollars; however, they took it back. I explained to them that I was wearing mustard pants and please look at the camera and they would see that I had deposited the money. At this point, nothing is being done. Citi credit card
I opened this account 6 months ago and did a balance transfer. I decided to pay this off and ended up with a credit balance. I called them around 20 times in the last 3 weeks to get this done. Evey time I called I was routed to customer service reps in another country They were rude, did not speak English well and every time I asked to speak to a rep in the United States, they would put me on hold forever and then either send me to another out of country rep or hang up on me! So, I decided to close the account. This is the worst customer service experience I have EVER had! I called today to close the account and they did not want to close it but I was adamant and the FOREIGN lady finally closed it. She kept asking me why I wanted to close it and so I told her and she was not happy with what I told her! I am still not sure the account is actually closed!
This company sent me an offer and I opened the accoiunt, it was ALL in English, I expect that if I need to speak to someone that they also should be an American United States based rep.
My husband closed his account too! We are DONE with Citi.
Desired outcome: To be sure my account is closed.
Citi miles ahead savings account
I received several promotions offers thru mail to open a Citi Miles Ahead Savings Account for AAdvantage cardmembers to earn bonus miles. Each time I tried to open an account by following the directions and web address provided. Each time there was no way to start the account. I then called customer service several times and opened an account over the...

I got a Citi Credit card a few months ago, and am surprised to see they appear to ignore standard security measures like 2FA in login. I contacted Citi's customer service via secure messaging and was appalled to read their repeated responses something like they do not address security issues there, and that one needs to call to resolve the issue! These went on for months, and I filed complaints in various public forums and complaint boards as promised, mainly to raise public awareness. In multiple occasions, I was told that they take customers' feedback seriously, and so on.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate if Citi comes out of denial and secures our accounts login with 2FA, even to show their's are not just a few empty words.
Closed my credit card account without any notice after being a citi customer for 20 years.
Just received an email that my account was closed. I had 20K available credit and never paid late. Zero balance.
This has negatively affected my credit score due to the change in my available credit.
I'm pretty furious with Citibank. When I called they said I was welcome to apply for another Citibank credit card product. Right. like I will ever use Citibank for anything again in the future. Way to treat your decades long good customer.
Ironically I was literally about to use this cash back card for a 15K purchase.
Desired outcome: Reinstatement of my credit card with the same available line of credit.
Sorry for your problems with Citibank. I am also sorry that the below news comes a little late for you. Citi has been trying to focus more on wealth management and gradually exiting the consumer and credit card market. You will see available credit on credit cards immediately drop to zero after each payment made until finally your available credit is zero. It is advised that you immediately pay off credit card balance if feasible, then call and cancel your credit card. Customer cancelling card is better in credit bureau’s algorithms than if you allow Citi to cancel it. This all comes on the heels of Cit’s major 1.5 billion dollar errors and fines in the past year. Citibank has announced it will shut its retail banking business including credit cards, savings bank accounts, personal loans etc. in 13 countries. Will USA be next?
Jane Fraser CEO states As a result of the ongoing refresh of our strategy, we have decided that we are going to double down on wealth.
The decision to exit the consumer, small-business and middle-market banking businesses in Mexico is fully aligned with the principles of our strategy refresh.”
The move comes after Fraser last year announced she would exit 13 markets across Asia and Europe as part of her push to simplify Citigroup and focus on more-lucrative businesses.
Citigroup is fined $400 million over ‘longstanding’ internal problems. the Federal Reserve and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency — said Wednesday that Citi had been engaging in “unsafe and unsound banking practices,”
Citigroup inadvertently paid back a $500 million loan instead of only making a payment on the loan. Citigroup acted as Revlon's loan agent. The company said it intended to pay only interest on behalf of Revlon, but accidentally transferred the full amount that they owed.
Citigroup said in a statement Tuesday that its appeal is grounded in “strong legal precedent and deep ethical principles.”

branch mitchelville MD
I went to citibank branch 12/2019 on in mitchelville MD and I brought in my letter from Citibank stating my CD was going to mature and I had 30 days to roll over my IRA into another before the maturity date. The Citibank teller in the branch gave me a form to sign. 2 years later , the IRS sent me a letter stating that I did a withdrawal and this is not what I asked the Citibank manger or teller to do. Therefore there was a penalty from the IRS . I need citibank to correct this error so I can send a letter to the IRS about this error made by Citibank . The bank manager Tayessha shaw has never called me back with a resolution . I have multiple account wtih Citibank and there have been multiple mistakes with my account made from this branch I need to speak to someone in corporate to help me . thank you

Transfer from Citibank saving account to an exterior checking account
I opened a Citibank saving account in January 2022 and I tried on 03/10/2022 to do a transfer by phone to my checking account from Chase (already registered in the Citibank system as my exterior bank). I could not obtain the requested amount !
Today I tried again by phone, the employee was only offering transfers of small amount and so I ask to speak with her supervisor and the supervisor asked me again some "safety" questions and then she asked me to hold on because she needed to ask some permission to ? I was on the phone for more than one hour ... without receiving an answer. This is the kind of respect that Citibank shows to their clients !
Desired outcome: Closing this saving account !!!!
Handling of Breach of Warranty Claims
I work for a bank that needs to file a Breach of Warranty claim with Citibank. Our client had a check clear their account and the payee is stating that they never received the check. The check was deposited at Citibank. Citibank has given us the run around from the very beginning and has acted very oddly since the beginning almost as if they don't want to investigate the claim because of the possible loss to them. I was told I had to mail everything they needed to them. I did that back on January 20, 2022. I called a couple of times on February 9th to make sure that they received it and that they were working on it. I was lied to on the phone at one point saying that the claim was completed and the reimbursement to our client was in the mail. Luckily I could tell this person was lying. I was then given a fax number and email address by another person to use because they couldn't locate my documents I had mailed in. I have sent our documents several times since then by both fax and secure email to only be told several times that they can't locate my documents and each time have to wait another 24-48 hours after I send the documents for them to be able to see it. On February 18th I was told by John who was talking with Amelia that she found my documents and that I would have to wait 5-10 days to receive a case number. I called back after that timeframe and received the run around again. Amelia now couldn't locate my documents, but then supposedly later did find them again and now my documents have supposedly been forwarded on to the Domestic Bank Adjustments Department. I was told there is no way for me to reach out to them, which I find very odd, and that I will receive correspondence in the mail once the case is complete. They also couldn't provide me a case number. Seems to me Citibank may not be following rules and regulations.
Desired outcome: I would like for a case to be created and for this situation to be investigated the way it should be. I would also like a case number now so that I know it is being investigated and worked on.
Closed Checking Account
My account was closed last week for fraud Every time I call this company, I get a different story. I requested my account to go ahead and be closed and have asked them several times to refund my money now. Part of the money in my account is my VA pay that they are illegally holding on to. I told them this and they refused to cooperate and following legislation surrounding individuals who receive federal funds from Social Security, Railroad, and the Veterans Administration. They are not supposed to hold this money. They are deceitful and unprofessional about the situation on top of this. I have called and been hung up on several times and they refuse to provide more information being evasive. This is fraudulent you continue to hold onto people's money. The documented behavior of this bank will look good for a future of a lawsuit.
Desired outcome: Refund my money. Place my check in the mail.
Citibank did send me a check for the closed account, but it is fraudulent with no funds and can't be cashed anywhere.
Citibank nri account - no.[protected]
I made an unfortunate mistake of opening an NRI savings account in Houston, TX a while back. Unbeknownst to me CitiNRI decided to close the account and claimed that a reimbursement check was sent from India. I never received such a check and since 2015 have been trying to get my money back on the closed account. Every time it is a different instruction from who I speak to. Notarize this, send this letter, send email, etc etc.
I think they have no intention of sending my money back. Now the latest after going through all this rigmarole is to send KYC documents to India, passport copy etc to Chennai.. They have a NY office but wonder why I need to send documents to India.
I would like to get my money back asap. This is fraud and deceit.
Fraud
How can this bank get away with this, I have read the complaints and the same thing happened to me! Opened an online account for the $300 bonus, Changed all my banking accounts and deposits to the new account. Less than a week and my accounts are blocked, Tried to speak to agents and they hang up on me stating fraud. I am not able to get my $20,500 back.
Desired outcome: I want my money back AND compensation
They blocked me after using money out of my own tax refund . Ok have 9,954 still in the bank they are saying fraud. They are liars.
