Wreckless driver
On June 14,2023 I was pulling out of my driveway onto a street in my neighborhood to go to a Dr's appt. In my rear view mirror I see a large Blue City truck flying around the corner. The speed limit in our neighborhood is 25 mph. He had to be traveling at least 45 mph. As he's coming around the corner behind me there is a stop sign directly in front of our Gated Community. If I had not stopped PAST the stop sign this young driver with his cell phone in one hand and steering wheel in the other would have rear ended me. I managed to get a picture of his truck further down the road. Truck # S 202.
Desired outcome: This young man needs defensive driving classes. We have small children and pets in our neighborhood. I realize there's time restraints but speeding should not be an option. He's a lawsuit waiting to happen !

I bought two recliners over the past few years. Both have problems, one with the leather tearing and the other with mechanical parts bending. Both chairs are the Scott brown micro recline, one manual and the other power. The power one has leather that ripped and I was told "that's normal wear and there is nothing we can do about". The manual one I am on my second replacement and it has bent so bad you can not sit in it. On this one they told me they would order the part and it would be in about twelve weeks from now. I was told the same thing on the first one and it took almost two years. Then they gave me a replacement because they could not get the part. There parts really have no warranty, all they try to do is get you so upset that you trash it and buy somewhere else. They do not even know what there warranty says. The sales guy tell you it's under warranty and there warranty people tell you it is not. And you can not get anyone to clear that up. My order numbers are 744984 and 633266 but I have very little hope it will be fixed. I also have a plethora of photos if you need them. Desired outcome: Replace both recliners or give me my money back for both the recliners and for what I paid for the extra warranty.
Delivery prices
I think it is highway robbery that Value City charges $199.99 for delivery services. If had I not wanted my husband to get a particular piece of furniture right away, I would have walked out. I will never get anything from this company again at such ridiculous delivery prices. I can see up to $100.00 but adding another 99.99 more is not right, in my opinion. Highway robbery.

I bought this bed online and it was delivered and assembled by city furniture and spoke with a gentleman afterwards who stated if the was any problems with the bed that I have 30 days to returned it. I love this bed but I had to filed a claim to returned the bed because my room is extremely hot and I'm worriedaboutthe coming summer months. I just moved into this house, I thought something was wrong with the AC but I found out it has a new ac system in 2022 and that's why there's a fan in the bedroom but because of the height of the bed I can't operate the fan. I received a text from city furniture stating that they were sorry for the inconvenience but my claim is not covered under their policy with a link for further information which didn't provide any further information but to take you to their website.
So I reached out through the text message for help and and was told by the lovely representative that their returned policy was only 3 days and when I explained to her that when I spoke with the gentleman after the setup, he said 30 days ans she responded "I do apologize about the miscommunication. Is there anything else that I can assist you with?".
I will never buy or recommend city furniture to anyone and I've never dealt with a furniture store with their returned policy being 3 days and especially when I was told 3o days and it's even stated on my receipt that if I changed my mind that I can returned 30 days from delivery
Desired outcome: Would like for them to uphold their service and warranty policy which states that if i changed my mind that i can returned the product within 30 days of delivery
Love seat purchase and wrong piece deliver
We purchase 2 love seats. Salesman told us they one in stock in Tamarac location and one in Tampa. Made purchase because we were told both could be delivered in a few days. Upon delivery, we received one correct piece and one incorrect piece. Accepted delivery,being told by salesman, who was on phone with us,delivery person,and customer service all at same time,that box was mislabeled, and they had 2 more the pieces that were wrongly delivered in the warehouse that possibly could be mislabeled also and have the loveseat we wanted inside. That ends up not being the case,and we were now told that the piece we neede was on backorder and we wouldn’t receive it till July! So my wife and asked for a refund,and customer service has not gotten back to us with confirmation of this request in several days now. Don’t understand the hold up! Simple solution being avoided by City Furniture! We are repeat customers and don’t understand the poor treatment we are getting.
Desired outcome: We Want a refund for both love seats. We agreed to keep the light,rug and table delivered,
Complaint about the plant city store and disrespectful manager
My Name is Kevin Brooks, I've been to two of your stores recently, I purchased a very nice marble top coffee table from the Orlando store on March 18th, although it won't be available until July. My sale associate Alfredo Vazquez, was great and helpful.
On April 31st, I wen tot the plant city store where I was being assisted by Sherri Jernigan, again she was great to work with as well, I was purchasing some accessories in Mable to accent my table, we couldn't find some of the items, mainly a 2nd marble box, so She asked sales Manager, who never identified Himself, Haitian guy that insisted that I carry these items out of the store with no packaging, no boxes, and no wrapping, I told him I'm not doing that. He said we can have everything delivered to you, I said cool, I'm in no hurry, he then processed everything and said it will be delivered on Saturday. and I left the store with only my receipt.
On Saturday, with timely delivery and all they came with only one box, I asked and they said this is all they have, also had customer service on the phone asking me if I accept this delivery, I explained then, that this cant be everything and I haven't opened the box yet as they took a picture of the box in my home. I called customer service and they then told me I walked out of the store with some of the items which never happened. So then drove over 30 miles to go back to the store to return the box delivered and to cancel the entire order and the table I ordered from the Orlando store. The manager I dealt with was the same one that did the purchase of the accessories, and really didn't want me to explain anything to him, and when i tried he said if he feels threatened he will call the police, on me for trespassing, after that I just let him do what he was doing, He took the box I brought back and then never processed the refund for that box, although he did the refund for everything else, I'm still waning for my $65.00, I will never set foot in your store again after this treatment, and also I closed my Synchrony City Furniture Card.
This is some disrespectful and rude treatment of the consumer. I've been a customer of City Furniture for years from Miami, and now I see the company has taken a very evil turn.
People beware of how you're a treated and appreciated as a consumer, You are spending your money and they don't even want to listen to your concerns.

City Furniture wrectless and Arrogant Driver
Hello,
I would like to bring this complain to your attention as I was walking in Sunrise and your truck almost hit me. The driver started using profanity and became very arrogant that I need to get out of the way when I was crossing the street. I was able to snap a photo of his truck. You need to teach them to yield to pedestrian.
Please address this issue as he was driving a city furniture box truck. Had he hit me, then this would have been a huge liability to City Furniture. This happened this morning 4/4
Sectional sofa and loveseat
The customer service for this company sucks. I even wrote them a letter over a month ago to try and resolve my issue, but no response as of this writing.
My wife and I bought a sectional sofa and loveseat in July 2022. The delivery wasn’t until December. I can live with that due to all the supply chain issues, but the sofa sectional was delivered in pieces and the loveseat was not what we were told it would be so we rejected delivery on it. We then ordered a recliner to replace the loveseat and our delivery on the recliner bounced around with no notification. My wife would check the website every now and then, only to find a different delivery date each time. We had it after 6 months and no complete set in our home. Your customer service team decided it was in your company’s best interest not to return our delivery fee of $180.00. So we’re out $180.00 for a mess your company created.
I find it hard to believe they would keep our $180.00 for the mess they created.
Desired outcome: I bought from Rooms to Go instead
Foot board bed set
My name is alain gallardo we bought a bed set and it broke in half I personal went to home depot and put a piece of wood to hold it for us to sleep and the warranty department sent a tech out and said that the bed was alteration done to the bed and I bought the warranty and they didn't want to change the foot board I will never recommend CITY FURNITURE again to anyone to buy anything please the store and warranty they treatment is very bad to customers and they could resolve my problem for a piece that cost $300 went I spent in the store over $ 10,000 in furniture very disappointing and lying and the warranty please don buy from the store

I placed this order in November 2022 and waited until January to have it delivered. When the bed came the footboard was missing so they couldn't assemble the bed. They later delivered the footboard but the hardware was missing therefore I still do not have a bed! I am asking for a partial credit on my charge card for the inconvenience and for not having the company deliver what they said was a complete order and fir the inconvenience of not have a bed go sleep in!
Desired outcome: Would like a credit on my charge card not a store credit
Sofa bought from City Furniture totally unacceptable.
I bought this sofa three months ago and was promised by the salesman that the fabric would repel dirt and clean up easily. Reality is totally the opposite. The fabric is filthy after two months of delivery and the person they sent said it was uncleanable. Also the sofa has no structural integrity to it. You sit on it and it sinks all the way to the ground. The cushions do not hold in place and fall over the sitting area. It is a disastrous blob.
Desired outcome: We want this company to stand behind their product and either give us a full refund or a store credit to re-select another product that works.
Bed delivery
We order a bed for 2 kids
And the delivery dates was today
They confirm yesterday and today in the morning they said everything ready to delivery
We remove the old bed, they need space to put a new bed, and now they call and cancel the delivery for Friday
My question is who is affected
My kids today doesn't have bed
I lost a day off my job and I need to request another day
And they said only next delivery is Friday
Quality of delivered product does not match store display
I purchased 2 couches with a total value of $5000.00 and have since received 2 replacement couches all are unacceptable. The quality of the couch does not match or even come close to what the couch in the showroom looks like and I am not being overly critical. In fact, every couch that I have received so far looks like it fell off a truck. I called customer service multiple times and they will not issue a refund.
This makes no sense to me because you could have simply cut your losses, refunded my money, and instead of raising my blood pressure I would have a positive story to share with family, friends and neighbors. You could have sold the couches in your scratch and dent store and I would have likely shopped your store again for the dining room set that I am in the market for.
What are your margins on this? Why have an upset customer?
Today, I was given the option to reselect another item. What planet do you people live on? Who purchases a couch and considers an alternate? If I knew the couch that I selected would not match the quality of the showroom, I would have shopped elsewhere.
I called and spoke with several managers at the customer service center and my last conversation was with Jasmine #19885. She could care less about my concerns as a consumer, kept apologizing, and kept telling me that she understands. If she understood, she would have authorized a return and refund.
In my opinion this is fraud displaying a product and delivering something that differs in quality. If I am stuck with this purchase I will not select another item and the expectation will be that your company will continue to deliver couches until I receive one that matches the quality of what is in the showroom. I have wasted vacation days and will start scheduling off hours to manage deliveries until you either refund or get right.
Desired outcome: After receiving 4 couches of poor quality (see pics) my reasonable expectation and ask is that you pick up the items and issue a full refund.
The setup and delivery
It started with my old furniture that I bought with city furniture, back in 2019. I had issues with the table which took the repair company multiple time to get right. It took over 3 months and multiple calls to customer service. Come to find out the service tech were not installing the spacers on the table which was the whole problem to begin with. Then the couch I bought had issues with the stitching, so I contacted customer service again, and they had someone come out to stich up the couch, that did last long. I called them again and they to me they were going to order the cover to the couch and would replace it. They told me it would take 6 weeks to get the couch cover. After 3 months I decided to call them to check up, and they informed me that the couch was discontinued. in which, I was upset because no one ever called me to tell me that info. So I called again, and talked to a supervisor, and they told me they they would refund my purchase for the couches and would give me store credit. So last year I bought a whole new couch setup with a glass coffee table. I had to wait for one of the couches, and the glass coffee table because they were on back order. I finally received the second part of my couch back in November, and part of the glass table, and was told the second part of the table will be delivered in December. I waited and called throughout December and was giving the run around by customer service. So finally, the first week of Jan, they delivered the remaining part of the coffee table, which I waited 3 months to get. So after the delivery tech left, I went to move the table and noticed that the table was about to tip over because it wasn't installed right. After the delivery techs put the table together they didn't even test anything and just left like everything was ok (I have them on camera). So I called customer service, about 20 minutes after the techs left and noticed they were closed for the day. I then called the next day, and was on the phone for over 2 hours. They told me they would sent someone out to fix but it was going to be 7 days later. I was upset because they didn't install the table right to begin with, and now I have to wait again. So, I told them I'm not going to wait anymore and want my money back, and to pick up the table. I was told they could only give me store credit, which I don't want because I'm never shopping at City Furniture again. I also went to the City Furniture store, and talked to the store manager 3 times, and they sent an email to customer service about my complaint and to contact me. I haven't heard anything yet, and don't have time to to be on the phone for hours to get nowhere. So I want my money back, not store credit.

The worst service ever! I bought a complete bed on date January 2nd, 2023 in City Furniture located at 1500 NW 167th St, North Miami Beach. That day, the sales representative Patrica Cortez told us that a piece was missing: the reel, so we told her that we did not want a partial delivery of parts. However, the next day, I was informed that all the pieces were already there and that they would be delivered on January 5. I accept the delivery because all pieces were complete. But when delivery arrived, guest what! That piece wasn't there. I don't want to receive the incomplete bed as I said at the beginning because I don't have space to storage, I have a little child and a dog. I had to go to the showroom to talk to the manager, and he asked other people about that piece missed. The matters are that nobody knew where that pieces are. In some way the piece. Somehow the piece appeared, and the delivery was rescheduled again for today, But today you call me again to tell me that the piece is not there and that you are going to bring me a base so I can put the mattress and sleep there... And wait until February 28 to deliver the piece to me. So, what kind of service is that, why are you so informal, so disorganized. My family and I have putted all our truss in you in this important acquisition and we are very disappointment! So am I supposed to do? 28 December 2022; vehicle NG159 USDOT [protected]/ possibly delivering to Coldwell Banker Schmitt property at 15:30 (3:30PM), observed driving beyond recklessly on Wilder rd., Big Pine Key, FL. Vehicle doing 50 mph in a 25-mph zone. Driver disregarded children, livestock. Consistently passed other vehicles without regard for safety. CBS BPK will be notified as well.
Desired outcome: Driver demonstrated disregard to community. Safety was consciously disregarded. Remedial / consistent training of all drivers must be conducted, documented, and logged, and reevaluations of vehicle operators revisited.

The repairman was here over a week ago, but I’ve not heard a word from him. The store manager (Brian?) and salesman double teamed me into persuading me into buying a 3 year furniture protection warranty. Even tho I emphatically kept saying “NO”. I don’t want it. I don’t want any of the sectionals/sofas/castros that were delivered. They already look 5 years old. Btw, where’s the repairman’s report? In November 2021 I placed an order for a backyard sofa cover. The item was in back order. In November of 2022, I was delivered what I thought was the sofa cover. Once I opened, the package it was the wrong item. I spoke with customer service and scheduled a7n exchange. However, once again the incorrect item was brought. This has happened 4 times. Today, once again wrong item. Customer service tells me I can't even make a return because, the item I have in my possession is not what I ordered. NOW, the item is in back order again.
They offer no resolution to the situation; even though they are the ones who repeatedly make the mistake. There is supposedly no one outside of customer care to speak to.
At this point, I want to return the incorrect item. Have what I ordered refunded, and never purchase from this company again.
Desired outcome: I would like to RETURN the INCORRECT items I have ang get a REFUND for what my original order was for.
