Clayton Homes broken promises

Wow I can not believe the headache we had dealing with this company! Was promised a gift card by ways of a flyer (their own advertisement) and in the end did not get it because they had to pay for a land surveyor, which was their fault for not catching the problem to begin with. It took way longer than promised on the date in which the home would be ready as well. Very poor customer service and a very stupid salesman to put nicely. Store manager is full of [censored]. Very bad place to go if looking to buy a tin can to live in!

We closed on our home in December of last year. We finely moved into the home in June. We were told we would get porches ans block under pin. This is october and no porches nor underpin. We are having to get another loan to put our underpin up before the snow comes. Our saleaman lied to us as well. Didnt get half of what we were told we were getting and still to this day are getting nothing but a run around. Wouldbt send my worst enemy to Clayton Homes in Johnson City Tennessee. And will nevef buy from them again.

Clayton Homes what a garbage company

Hello-

My name is David. I purchased my "cardboard box" in June 2010 and have nothing but problems ever since. Not just little things, serious problems. Everything was great when I purchased it. People would call me and they couldn't hurry fast enough to get me to sign the paperwork and get me in here. That was the second everything changed. When we moved in, the dishwasher had to be replaced immediately. I could bore you with my story but I know you have experienced the exact same, but I will tell you some of my problems: Central Air breaking, Multiple problems with the toilet running in the second bathroom, mysterious yellow spots almost immediately appearing on the master bedroom carpet, fan in second bathroom leaking, walls leaking in third bedroom, discolored base boards for some unknown reason, leaking Central Air unit that has created serious mold problem in master bedroom closet (which was covered up with wood), my kitchen ceiling is sagging and cracked.

I think that's not even all of it. PLEASE keep in mind that my "cardboard box" was supposedly brand new and I have been living here less than 2 years and have all of these problems. I want to kick myself in the head just thinking about what this will be in 3 or 5 years? I won't even have a house.

Every time I try to call them I either don't get an answer, get an generic answer, or they come and "cover it up". NO ONE CARES AT CLAYTON. I have even called the headquarters and the General Manager of the Southeast sent the IDIOT Operator of the Lakeland Florida office and backwards simpleton handyman out to my "Cardboard box". They walked around and took pictures (which does not fix anything). They told me that the walls could have been wet due to my cats peeing on the walls (ya right) and I have to wait until it rains until anything is done as this will be my proof that the roof/walls are dysfunctional. Since when have I become a district attorney for the state of Florida? I shouldn't have to prove ###. They should just fix it, but they don't want to fess up and say they can't. My warranty means ### to them.

We need to band together and stand up for ourselves. Warren Buffet needs to wake up and use his "business sense" and stand by his customers.

Clayton Homes lies, delays, extra costs

We got lies, delays, and $10, 000 in extra costs after contracting for a mobile/modular home to be placed on our undeveloped property. The contract called for a turnkey operation that would take 2-3 months and include everything needed for us to move in. It was like a bad car salesman movie. They told us everything we wanted to hear and we thought it was all in the contact. We sold our existing house and rented for the few months needed on the clayton home. You might say we shouldn't have sold until we had the new place, but in the poor market we had to sell when we could & we needed the money for the clayton home.

Everything sounded great to start- the home would be there 4-6 weeks after we selected it. More like 6-8 months! They wouldn't build the driveway necessary to place the home. They were going to try bringing it across a farmer's field and leave us without access. I had to get the driveway done. They wouldn't do anything with the electricity.

I purchased a mobile home, 2010 mobile, from Clayton Homes in Paducah, KY. First they promised a 2 week delivery, which turned into 2 months. They never put the underlayment under the mobile, they never sealed all the open holes around the plumbing, furnace, etc. The mice literally invaded my home. The mobile home was nothing but problems. The thin 3/8...

Clayton Homes will not fix problems

My husband and I have bought our first home in June 2010. The salesperson that we had helped us tremendously than when they delivered our home is when the problems started! The people who set up our home put down sand instead of limerock or gravel and now the whole back of our house is washing downhill. The smoke detectors are falling off the ceilings. The front door is not hung right and sometimes when it storms our door blows open. When the people were putting the trim and the inside of the house together they tracked mud on the carpet and I have scrubbing the carpets since we moved in to get all the stains that were on it when we moved in off. The windows in the front of the house leak where the siding was not put on there right and the water goes down between the siding and the boards are starting to rot. The back door there is rubber around it and when they were coming in and out to set up our double-wide someone sliced the rubber and just left it hanging. We have had leaky faucets and drains since day one and they came out once and put some kind of putty around the kitchen drains that every time I wash dishes it gets on the bottom of my dishes and you can not get it off. The master bathroom floor linoleum you can see three inch slices where someone cut the wrong spot and instead of fixing it they just left it. Our inside doors do not shut unless you pick them up by the handle a little and push them shut. Our siding on the outside is not on right and does not match some is tan and some is brown it is like they did not care to even match the right color of the house when they put it together. We make two payments every month so why is it that they cannot come out to correct their mistakes. We take in a list of problems and they tell us they are going to take care of it but it has been 11 months and nothing has been fixed yet! My husband called them and they told him that we have never turned in a paper which is a lie because we always keep a copy for our records.. Someone needs to do something about Clayton mobile homes before they rip off any more people!

We just moved into our clayton home 8 months after it should have been ready. Tons of delays & lots of missed work. The package deal was no package. House would never get ready if we waited on clayton. We had to build our own driveway because clayton refused even though it was in the contract. We had to call constantly to keep them working on it. Their low bid contractors kept failing county inspections. We had to get all the permits & the drain field contractor didn't pay the required survey fee as agreed. We had to rush payment to the surveyor so closing wouldn't be delayed again.
Stay away from clayton homes!

Clayton Homes terrible construction

My husband and I purchased a 2011 Clayton Home. The house was constructed in TN. Our home was built by workers that apparently have NO pride in their workmanship. I really don't know where to start. First of all they built the house in a week. That should have been a big red flag. None of the doors or windows in the house are square. The floors and the ceilings have ridges in them. The cupboards are not square so the drawers will not fit right. The counter top in the kitchen has chips and cracked edges. All the knobs on the drawers are crooked. There are several wallboards that are cracked. All the ceramic sinks and toilets are crooked. The picture window is sitting at a slant and coming loose from the inside on the marble sills. We noticed the hallway wall did not look right and the boards they used throughout the house are warped. The floors squeak. We expected some minor things to be wrong;recaulking, loose battons. But the way it is looking they are going to have to tear my house apart and practically start over. It makes us literally sick to our stomaches to see this happening. The dealer we went through is being cooperative but it does not change the fact our home was built by uncaring employees at the White Plains facility. The repair man from the dealership has already been here twice and is on his way today. The only thing that has been fixed is the crooked sinks and the knobs. There is much more that is wrong with the home. Our advice: Do your research before purchasing a home and do not buy from Clayton Mobile homes.

We have a Clayton home built in 2007. We bought new Pella windows to replace the cheap windows that came with the home. My husband began installation only to discover we had no outer walls, only foam panels then siding. If you press on your siding and it bends in you do not have outer walls either. Our neighbors were shocked when they saw the shoddy construction. My husband removed the siding (installed with staples no nails) and put up plywood then replaced the siding, a very difficult task. We replaced both door and all the windows. Our goal was to decrease the cost of heating the home. Our house would never meet basic building codes.

Clayton Homes home water heater

Clayton Homes sold me a used mobile home that they had refurbished. One of the things they did was replace the water heater. unknown to me at the time, they had actually rigged a regular residential water heater instead of a closed-air mobile home water heater, which is not only illegal, but is extremely dangerous. They were trying to save time and money by cutting corners, which could have killed my entire family. Because of the way they rigged it and failed to install proper fresh air intake, there was not enough ventilation for proper combustion for the pilot light, which caused carbon monoxide gas to leak into my home. My husband and I suffered intermittent headaches and nausea, but far more serious, my son who was only 8 months old when we moved in, has recently been diagnosed with developmental disabilities. In addition, my dog has aged exponentially since we've lived there, growing multiple fatty tumors, losing her sight and hearing, and having elevated liver enzymes, which my vet confirms has been directly linked to long-term carbon monoxide poisoning. Clayton Homes response to all of this? Blame the victim - "Can you prove YOU didn't do it?" They didn't get permits for the work, they didn't have an inspection completed afterwards, and that's how they got it by. The small-town building inspector claims to know nothing, but judging by his attitude which was almost identical to Clayton's, he probably goes to church with those criminals and they all sleep like babies at night.

Clayton Homes bad service

I was a retailer for Clayton Homes. I have several different manufactures & Clayton promised to offer the world to my buyers. They are Full of [censored]. The homes are junk, I had nothing but complaints from all my Clayton buyers! AND a lawsuit! The 1st Ever in over 10 years in Business. Thanks Clayton!

I had to remove & install entire roofs & siding on homes just set. That's right, brand new home, rip off & replace roofs/siding so I wouldn't have a problem 6 months down the road. The PA plant is as bad as it gets. The worst of the worst. They Lie, Cheat & Steal & leave the builders/retailers to take the heat. Clayton factories use alias names to hide lawsuits. Marlette in PA, JUNK! 1/2 million $ later they put me right out of business. Had to close my doors in July. I blame them all the way & have documentation to prove it. Even their employees post here!

I purchased a Clayton Home From States ville NC in March 2012, The first thing I was told was to move in and live about six months, to let the house settle. That's what the repairman told me. He sat down with me and reviewed different things about my home at this time. He told me there would be a lot of things he would have to do, like tightening floors and paint jobs. I have complained about my home from day one on the sheet rock job. All through out my home I see where in the screws are coming Thu the sheet rock, sorry painting of the primmer.Around the molding through out my home around the ceiling is big cracks I was told I would have to keep putting putty because my house with expand with weather. I was told this by the factory representative. I order a bathroom door that opens instead of sliding, they never called me and say they couldn't give me that. They told me after my home was delivered. I'm sorry I think these homes are put together to fast. My home was set up in one week and inspected too. Excuses for Everything.

Clayton Homes makes there own ruled as they go

I purchased a clayton home. If your thinking about purchasing a home from clayton homes please stay away from these frauds. Buy yourself a real stick built house. MY doors need replaced after 2 years. I bought the home in 2008 and the doors will not shut. I would call them up to complain, but they would just replace it with the same garbage.

I told them I wanted a small deck built on the front. I told them a deck and they put a concrete slab out front. When I hear deck I think of wood. I was going to tear down or add on in the future. I now have to get a jack hammer to remove the slab. I also told them I wanted a heat pump and the guy shows up with an air conditioner and I have to pay the difference for a heat pump, which is about 500 dollars.

Then the worst part they built part of my garage on some one elses land. The guy thinks clayton homes should pay for the 2 feet of land that they built the garage on his land, I totally agree. I'm still trying to get this cleared up. If they would of put the home where I wanted it I would not be in this situation. They said I should have it put up higher because the septic pumps would push down hill. The real reason was they would of have to of leveled a piece of land. They wanted to pocket the extra cash.

Yes I did declined to have it surveyed. The reason was I have a paper that states the land was surveyed in 2005. I told the lady I should have to have it surveyed that soon. I didn't no some one removed the stakes. Some idiot should of informed me on this one or perhaps it was that they just happy to get there money.

Clayton Homes scammers

Made a deposit on a 32' X 64' Riverland "floor model" home, spent 3 months looking for a suitable site, negotiated and made an acceptable offer on the land with deposit, was approved for mortgage financing with rates acceptable to me.

This is a 2008 model, fully furnished that we were told they were "looking to move because a newer show model was coming". List was 129, 900. Sale price was 99, 900. The lot is already cleared, has city water and adjacent elec, culvert and driveway already in, needs to have septic (modad) installed and a pad.

All-in all, with the reduction in price of the home and the lot 75% ready, and financing on board, this would have appeared to be a done deal.

Now, Andy and Matt (the finance person and the manager) tell us the total package won't meet appraisal!

HUH? They tried to tell me the square footage vs the number of bedrooms (1920sq ft, 3bdrm, 2bath) was messing up the appraisal. BUL**HIT!

I have considerable time, money, and effort invested in this transaction only to be told at the very end that it wasn't going to meet the appraisal criteria.

They attempted to get me into a plain jane unit that was nothing like the floor model.

This is the epitome of a bad faith deal. They had no intention of selling me the unit I put a deposit on. I'd been to the dealership 4 or 5 times throughout all this searching and financing and it wasn't till I was approved for financing that this "failure to meet appraisal" stuff came up.

Looking for a real estate attorney.

GOOD LUCK as far as getting legal OR GOVERNMENT help. IT IS NOT THERE BELIEVE ME.

Martin luther king must have felt very lonely with so much oposition against what he knew was right and just for all, not just a few. Top officials from city and state levels to top federal offices all seemed in oposition of what he had to say.
I feel like I am in a boxing ring with my hands tied behind my back and about to face Mohamid Ali for ten rounds. Just like MLK must have felt when even mentioning the abuse he knew was there and endorsed by officials who "could" make changes.
The TDLR A/C division has "invented" a provable sabotage for HVAC systems in Texas "only". It is illegal and against all codes of safety and correct installation in EVERY other place in the world and the entire USA that HVAC systems are used. It is "illegal" in the zoos of Texas. It is illegal in any home or office in the entire country, including Texas. I know how the man felt trying to get anyone, in a power position, to just consider the lives of millions as "important enough" to spare a little time and do some REPRESENTATION for the TAXATION.

Special laws have been invented and "made" by the TDLR A/C division to make clear cut sabotage "legal" in Texas "only". The very important "catch" is that it is "segregated" to include only the elderly, the disabled, and the poorest people in Texas today. The mobile home owner.
The laws that were invented to "match" the sabotage were legalized by TDLR A/C division to apply to mobile homes "ONLY" in Texas. Mobile homes in ALL OTHER STATES are granted clean air and healthy conditions because it is "ILLEGAL" to contaminate environments with improper installation of equipment. Just like in all their other homes and offices and zoos of their states. The zoos in Texas are covered by the clean air codes and codes for proper installation of A/C equipment.
TDLR A/C division has "ignored" the correct and basic operation instructions and the installation of HVAC anywhere to "make" it legal in Texas only.

"Every" manufacturer of HVAC in the in the USA says it is nothing but "ignorant" and would NEVER RECOMMEND it be done to their equipment. Not one says it is OK at all. It VOIDS their warranties is what they had to say about the TDLR method of incorrect filtering. Not to mention missing tie-ins that are called legal.
NOT ONE school or academy of HVAC in this "ENTIRE WORLD" teaches or condones the self made sabotage that TDLR A/C division has forced and taught to be used on "mobile homes only" and in Texas "ONLY". NOT ONE other place that uses the EXACT SAME equipment can install it legally that way. In Texas or the entire country per codes. TDLR A/C division has "invented" a guaranteed sabotage for mobile homes "ONLY". These homes are "mobile" only once. After that, lived in by families whose environment and A/C equipment is GUARANTEED to have DAMAGES caused by the A/C's INCORRECT INSTALLATION and ONLY the incorrect installation causing problems.

The CLEAN AIR ACT is totally eliminated if it were indoor and IGNORED to "make" it legal. The entire reason to even have a filter set up with a sealed filter is completely ignored. The TDLR method makes it "impossible for the filters to work like designed and made for". Just to "make" the sabotage of the entire HVAC system "legal" in mobile homes "only" in Texas. All other states License and Regulations offices have laws that "MAKE" it ILLEGAL in EVERY HOME because it is a complete failure to filter the HVAC system at all. They give good reasons to NEVER allow it or pass a code with it. PLEASE ASK THEM ALL. The "guaranteed" hazards and the "GUARANTEED" rapid destruction that is CAUSED. Every school in this country or "ANY" place that goes by FACTS and PROVEN DATA like License and Regulation Offices of "any" state except Texas can PROVE harmful FACTS that TDLR A/C division totally IGNORES to "make" it "legal" with the special laws for mobile homes "ONLY".

THE NUMBER ONE BASIC Law of A/C and CORRECT HVAC installation codes are eliminated to "make" it legal but "IN" mobile homes "only". If a contractor were to install this set-up of guaranteed sabotage (that TDLR A/C division "made legal" for mobile homes only), in ANY OTHER PLACE in Texas or the USA, like homes, offices, or city zoos, He would be fined, forced to redo his work CORRECTLY, and possibly lose his license of HVAC installation completely.

TDLR A/C division is the "ONLY" place that says it is OK in the entire world to use their invented money maker. Other countries scoff at it and states are shocked at the obvious abuse of powers that TDLR A/C division has PROVEN IT CAN USE to CONTROL it all. And still make unlimited income the dishonest way to brag about. TDLR A/C division can "guarantee" that it will never get past the poorest people in Texas by using their "invented laws" to make sure it can and will happen in mobile homes "only" and "only" in Texas. That way you don't have to explain the ignorance that is allowed to anyone. RIGHT? A nice way to guarantee the "control" of the damages that are guaranteed to occur because of incorrect installation of A/C.

A nice way to get past "all the codes" that every other country and state uses to say "IT IS ILLEGAL". Codes and laws that other states use to STOP the health hazards that are guaranteed to be "CAUSED AND CREATED" if installed the TDLR mode of installation for mobile homes "only". Damages and health hazards that are caused and created "by nothing" but TDLR A/C divisions "INVENTED" method of sabotage for the A/C. The sabotage that is "GUARANTEED" to create income for any state that can push it into legalness just like TDLR A/C division has done to the poorest people people in Texas today. Can your state use a scam to create income?

The cost of operation of the sabotaged HVAC system is "guaranteed" to be at least four times as much as the exact same equipment installed correctly in the exact same place. Installed just like all other homes, offices, dog pounds, and zoos of this country. The services that are a "MUST" for mobile homes "only" because of the incorrect installation are more than five times as much as the exact same equipment installed correctly in the exact same place. The cost of "electrical" is increased by "more than 3 times" because of the sabotage that is "LEGAL" in Texas only. TDLR A/C division insist that 52 filters per year be used for "proper maintenance" of the sabotage they endorse. This is insisted on by TDLR A/C division for mobile homes "only", instead of the 12 or "LESS" that would be REQUIRED per year. All other peoples homes and offices and zoos use no more than 12 per year. That's millions of mobile homes disposing of 52 filters per year. Instead of the possible 4 per year per mobile home. But, Who cares they are all buying 52 filters per year? If you change the two incorrectly installed filters EVERY SINGLE DAY of the year it will not stop the sabotage that is guaranteed to occur because of "where" the filters are at.

I can give you or anyone "over" 40 VERY GOOD reasons to "NEVER" install an HVAC system the way TDLR A/C has "invented" and "made legal" in Texas for MOBILE HOMES ONLY.

TDLR A/C division has even "invented" ridiculos maintenance procedures to cover the scam that is guaranteed to create and cause damages and health hazards to the entire area. That is damage that is "guaranteed" to occur even if you change the two filters every day of the year. Because the filters are useless where the TDLR A/C division made sure happens in mobile homes "only". TDLR A/C divisions official procedure is to change two filters every two weeks. Just more cost and cover up to "NOT HAVE TO EXPLAIN" to ANYONE in Texas at all. I call it ignorant and so does ANY person who does not work for the TDLR. The opinions and facts of other places simply puts TDLR A/C division out on a platter try to explain why such a thing was ever allowed or "made legal" in the state of Texas "ONLY".

Keep the TDLR A/C division as the "only" place "anyone" in Texas can ask for help and you have even MORE of a GUARANTEE that it will NEVER be exposed in Texas.

The entire HVAC system is destroyed long before normal. From the compressor outside to EVERY PIECE of the air handler and EVERY INCH of the duct it supplies inside. That is if it is installed the TDLR A/C divisions for "mobile homes only" legalized sabotage. I can PROVE this to anyone. Not with my bought and paid for opinion but with FACTS. The exact same TDLR A/C people that "invented" the sabotage is the "ONLY" place they can get an opinion from that does not expose them for what is wrong here. The exact same people that NEED to keep it QUIET are the only people who can discuss it at all. Then the "only opinions" that are given by them is "it's legal" to COVER IT ALL. Segregation and abuse have always been legal somewhere. Slavery was? Because it was "legal"? Refusal of civil rights was? Because it was legal at the time? Women could not have a say in the government? Because it was legal?

The exact same facts that I can use to PROVE how wrong this is are the same FACTS that all others use to "MAKE" it illegal anywhere in their states. And entire countries use those FACTS to make it illegal in their country. It is ignorant per all HVAC manufacturers per a long list of good reasons to never allow it.
The TDLR A/C divisions method for mobile homes "only" to install A/C is guaranteed to cause and create health hazards. It is guaranteed to destroy the unit three times faster than normal per "ANY" reputable A/C service company that tells the truth about what is hidden here. It is right under the noses of the companies that TDLR A/C division "taught" it to. But, to use "only" in mobile homes of Texas.

EVERY single one of them KNOWS how wrong and FAULTY the installation is but refuse to speak up because of WHO MADE IT LEGAL and the income that is "CREATED" by the sabotage that no one sees. That is the perfect sabotage if you want to put one over on millions at the same time. Why complain if you are an HVAC Mobile Home "Specialist" in on all the created income by keeping it quiet?
TDLR A/C division has made it even easier to hide the sabotage. By "making sure" that even TDLR "special divisions" can not question or ask about the HVAC systems in the very buildings that their "ENTIRE SPECIAL DIVISION" was created for in the first place. It is called the TDLR mobile home division. A place that might have too many to "keep quiet" and someone might get the information and FACTS of the wrongs endorsed and taught by the TDLR A/C division.
All and ANY complaints that involve the HVAC system of a mobile home are not "allowed" to be handled by "ANY" of the specialist in the "special" Mobile Home Division of TDLR. Another good way for the TDLR A/C division, the "inventors of perfect sabotage" to keep it all hidden from even their own offices and divisions. Offices that surely have "investigators" that are much better and more "HONEST" than the TDLR A/C division. The division of TDLR that "overlooks" not oversees it all with just one answer for it all. "It's Legal". TDLR A/C division can not give more than that because there is NO OTHER REASON they can give to allow such ignorance in the installation of any HVAC system in any place.

I challenged every A/C specialist that TDLR A/C has or can get to FACE ME. I challenged TDLR from Executive Director, Prosecutors, Investigators, Division managers, You name it. I begged to face the entire statewide staff of TDLR about this.
NOT ONE TAKER to offer even an excuse for it happening. TDLR A/C division wants it all solved on the phone or internet. And all that is done with the rehearsed answer of "it's Legal" to cover all the PROVABLE WRONGS that are pushed on "mobile homes "ONLY" by the TDLR A/C division. Not one taker out of all these "EDUCATED AND TRAINED SPECIALIST". Don't you think that is odd for someone who is being called a SCAM ARTIST by their ABUSE OF POWERS. Explain it and forget it should be there somewhere, simply to "COVER" what "you" TEACH AND ENDORSE. All the TDLR A/C division EXPERTS know there is no explaination for the proven negatives that they push on "mobile homes ONLY".

I had a "deadly" HVAC system installed in my families home. I accidently "found" the cause of it all while working on the effects of the guaranteed sabotage that TDLR A/C will not face real experts about. I am no expert at all but I started asking questions and TDLR A/C divisions refusal to answer in any way seemed odd. So I started asking HONEST professionals about it. It is a SCAM to CREATE work and sell parts. This is when I discovered that the TDLR A/C division is the ROOT of the complaints I was making. It could not happen without TDLR A/C divisions approval and participation in the guaranteed sabotage of a mobile homes HVAC system. Tell them to PROVE just ONE good thing about their invented filtering of A/C.

Tell them to try to say something good about the tie-in of nothing but aluminum tape in 13" long strips to form the shape of duct and "hang" 100' of metal duct from it. All taped up from inside only, with the entire top surface of the main duct "CUT OUT" to where there was NO POSSIBLE WAY to tie-it in without replacing it completely. This was all hidden under the floor burried in insulation attaching the floor plenum to the duct. But sealing it in NO WAY. Causing the massive dust I had complained about since the day we moved in. Clayton Homes, the builder, is the culprit that decided it would be easier to hide than replace. TDLR A/C division was so worried about keeping their SABOTAGE hidden that they called it "all legal" because it is in a double wide 2000' sq. ft. "MOBILE HOME". It has been mobile ONCE in over 12 years. TDLR A/C division covers it all with it's legal. There is much more to my complaint with TDLR A/C division than the MISSING TIE-IN which was the deadly part. The more I looked into it the MORE I found that was completely illegal and unheard of if installed in YOUR HOME or any zoo in the USA.
TDLR A/C division refuses to let a case even be filed against a NATIONWIDE company like Clayton Homes. Because Clayton Homes is one of the companies that KNOWS it is wrong for any HVAC installation but slaps it in anyway because TDLR A/C div says so. And they can save 50 dolars per home and get so work also from the sabotage.

Reputable and real HVAC companies "refuse" to work on any A/C in mobile homes of Texas because of all the "NEGATIVES" that are caused and created for mobile homes "only". NEGATIVES "CREATED and CAUSED by "legal" SABOTAGE and incorrect BASICS and CODES by doing so. They also refuse to toss out their knowledge of HVAC just to "make" the sabotage work. The rule book on EVERYTHING taught at school concerning HVAC installation is not something they will drop so easy either. Not, forget it, all just for the money like TDLR A/C division wants them to do.

TDLR A/C division invented this "work and income" creator at the expense of "only" the poorest people in Texas and will "cover" anyone like Clayton Homes who "helps" get this sabotage work done in mobile homes "ONLY". FOR TEXANS ONLY.
A nationwide company like Clayton homes "knows" it is as illegal as it can get anywhere in the country. TDLR A/C division "guarantees" no names will ever be filed against for any reason as long as help with the sabotage is "given".

Can you imagine going into the ring to face Joe Fraizer with your arms tied behind you? That is what I have been doing for a long time. TDLR A/C division has seperated itself ABOVE questioning by anyone. That also "guarantees" the scam to work and "stay hidden" from all. No one pushes it past the lame answer of "It's legal" to answer it all.
TDLR A/C and state officials do not care as long as the "CREATED" funds keep rolling and give something to BRAG about to boot. It is a deadly set-up that is "guaranteed" to stay under control when "special laws" are invented to "make sure" it is legal in mobile homes only. Seperate it and keep it in mobile homes "only".
"WHO" could possibly care about the millions of mobile homes in Texas as long as the extra "created income" keeps rolling in and is "guaranteed" to keep rolling in as long as it stays "HIDDEN" from all that could possibly make it RIGHT.

TDLR A/C division, any other state, any other country, any A/C school, any A/C company, anyone that has anything to do with A/C at all, can "NOT" come up with "JUST ONE" reason to even consider using the TDLR A/C divisions invented sabotaged method of installation that was "made" legal in mobile homes only. And only in Texas.

I can give you over forty "VERY GOOD REASONS" and "PROOF" (not bought opinions) to EVER allow it anywhere at all, just like other states disapprove of it EVERYWHERE. Why can the TDLR A/C division get away with pulling such a SCAM against the millions of mobile home owners in Texas?
I can give you or any expert A/C more than enough PROOF to show that the "only" reason anyone would approve of or EVEN CONSIDER this is to "CREATE WORK" for Texas. BY LEGAL SABOTAGE and SEGREGATION. Abuse of powers and seperation above ALL SO FAR.

The TDLR A/C has enough seperation and power to do as it likes with the lives of the poorest of Tx. How many millions of people live in mobile homes? Very provable health hazzards that are guaranteed to occur. Not maybe! Very provable facts to show the guaranteed creation and "cause of up to five times as much costs to operate system. Facts to show the guaranteed destruction of the HVAC system by simply using the TDLR A/C invented and taught method of sabatoge for mobiole homes in TX.

Like I said before TDLR A/C or anyone else cannot give JUST ONE reason to set up the HVAC in TDLR method is wrong. TDLR A/C sure can't give a good reason at all to not use the standard "ONE" filter in a filter rack to SEAL the filter and use it as a filter. The "ONLY" way to use the filter correctly. Exactly what the filter is MADE for by it's design. NOT a cover up of looking at two filters in the wrong place that "do nothing" but "cause and create damages to the HVAC and the homes complete envinroment. No possible way the EPA or the Clean Air Act could or woild pass this set up without the TDLR A/C division pushing buttons to make sure the sabatoge continues in TX mobile homes "only".
Not one home, not one office, not one zoo, not one real "mobile home" like travel trailers or campers or Winnabegos that have A/C are allowed to have the unheard of filter set up or TIE-IN completely missing to have a void of all metal needed to be able to tie in to ducts in any way. I have photos of the ignorant tape up job that Clayton Homes did and buried under the floor in insulation that was sealed from the bottom also per EPA rules and able to withstand the journey, just to be pulled down the road "once". In other words SEALED VERY WELL and NEVER opened by the homeowner. The TDLR A/C division refuses to even let Clayton Homes be mentioned in any way shape or form about "any" of it.

No one in the entire world is subjected to the "legalized sabotage" that the TDLR A/C division has made legal for mobile homes "ONLY" and "ONLY" in Texas mobile homes. Please say your office is not controled by the power of the TDLR A/C division also? Please help the millions of the poorest people in Texas who are too busy, just trying to put food on the table and pay bills, to even realize the SCAM that is "guaranteed" to "WORK AGAINST" them. In health cost and the basic expenses of living. The things that all other Texans, who could correct and prevent the sabotage, take for granted because it is NOT A PROBLEM for them and It's Legal.

"Just ask the TDLR A/C division because it is "THEIR JOB" not mine" is the "ONLY" answer for it "all" that my senator or "anyone else" in Texas can give.
The top officials that I did manage to ask at the TDLR did give me one other answer and it was "Because that is the way "WE" do it in Texas" and It's legal.

I do not know how to make people aware of this scam of guaranteed sabotage except to keep writing it to people and maybe one of these days it will
"CROSS THE RIGHT DESK" somehow. Everyone one in Texas has said the "ONLY" place to complain to about it is at the TDLR A/C division. All of them are too busy to care about the millions of Texans who have been subjected to this scam. Please help us.
Not all builders of mobile homes in Texas still cooperate with the TDLR A/C divisions sabotage. They are the ones who picked back up their codes and ethics to stop the guaranteed negatives caused and created by the TDLR A/C divisions "mobile home only" ignorant laws. Laws that do nothing but allow sabotage. No other reason so far.

The proof is there and very obvious like the "whites only" signs all over town. The blacks hanging by their necks while the hooded got drunk and laughed about the way they would "kick". The signs that allowed blacks to ride "only" in the rear of the buses they were allowed to board at all. Please let me and the rest of the world, including the USA the most of all, prove how wrong this sabotage is that has been "legalized" by the TDLR A/C division for mobile homes "only". What kind of laws do we still have that say the abuse must be segregated to the poorest of Texas "only? It is just as WRONG AS IT CAN BE.

FACT. Not "ONE" item can be used to say it is "OK" or "good" in any way much less SHOW why it is OK or good at all. FACT. One "item" can be used. The TDLR A/C division saying "IT'S LEGAL". No reasons at all. No excuses at all. Only, It's legal and that is the way we do it in Texas mobile homes "only".

Those are the only answers that the TDLR A/C division has given to "ANYONE" because of their ability to "ABUSE" the POWERS bestowed upon them by a TRUSTING PUBLIC and GOVERNMENT. I complained since walk through at move in to Clayton Homes. It is written on the walk through that something is wrong with the A/C because of all the dust that never goes away. That was in 2000. I got to finally get someone at TDLR because when I tried earlier in 1999 and 2000 I was told that the TDLR did not handle complaints for mobile homes. I got TDLR mobile home division phone number in 2001 from the company that Clayton Homes insisted I complain to about the set-up. I complained so much that when he gave me the # he told me it was a new thing at TDLR because I told him I already tried TDLR.
All TDLR could say then was "it's legal" and DUST IS NORMAL for mobile homes.
I accidently found the void of duct and tie-in to main duct made of nothing but tape to hang the duct from in August of 2010. I complained to the TDLR mobile home division as soon as possible about my discovery of the cause of the constant dust 24/7 that all said was normal.

I found the cause of my family breathing so-called normal dust for mobile homes for 10 years. It was insulation particles from the VOID at the missing tie-in. All of the covering up then with "IT'S LEGAL" from the TDLR A/C division was done because they thought "their sabotage set-up" was the "CAUSE" of the dust.
Because they know that "created dust" is "just one" of the major faults with using their sabotage set-up for filtering the HVAC systems of mobile homes "only".
TDLR A/C division gave a decision back in 2001 that it was legal to improperly filter the air handler of mobile homes only. So I thought there was nothing I could do. I kept on complaining to Clayton Homes and Action Aire about it until 2010 when I "found" the cause of it all. TDLR A/C division says it is OK and "normal" for mobile homes to have massive dust. Before their decision back then the man that showed up from TDLR mobile home division saw it was not normal at all and HE WROTE IT DOWN. It was so un normal that he took pictures of open rooms to try to show on camera what he was seeing very clearly. TDLR A/C division covers it all because that is one of the symptoms of the sabotage.

Now TDLR A/C division wants me to drop it all because it is "too late" and it is legal anyway. It is as deadly as you can get. TDLR wants me to simply forget what got covered up and all the wrong decisions that were made then and NOW. TDLR A/C division spits in my face and says it is "OK" and LEGAL for my family to breath insulation particles for 10 years. TDLR A/C division would not let me file a suit against Clayton Homes. The builder of the deathtrap that was well hidden and never intended to be found because everyone that works on HVAC systems of mobile homes knows there is lots of "extra dust" and that keeps it normal to most when asked.

Who cares? It's only in mobile homes anyway right? That was made sure of by TDLR A/C division. It creates income for Texas and is "GUARANTEED" to work as long as the TDLR A/C division is able to abuse it's power and NOT CARE about the homes and lives of the millions of mobile home owners.
Just "make sure" it is illegal EVERY WHERE else. Just like everyone else in the world who knows what is RIGHT and what would not pass "ANYWHERE" in the world that uses HVAC systems at all.

Why is it allowed and IGNORED when brought up to ANYONE in Texas at all? TDLR A/C division can not dispute the FACTS about this. They can "only" make you look the other way. Just like Germany did for a while with their segregation and abuse. Just like they have proven can be done in Texas if it involves big enough money and guaranteed to work. Not maybe at all. The sabotage of the system is guaranteed to occur with "NOTHING BUT THE OPERATION OF THE UNIT" because of the set-up that TDLR A/C division has "invented" for mobile homes "only".

Sincerely,
Tim Glover

SCAMMED and RESCAMMED and then SCAMMED SOME MORE. The POOREST PEOPLE of Texas DESERVE A "BREAK FROM SCAMMERS" that CREATE
GUARANTEED HEALTH HAZARDS in our homes. The EPA has itself covered good with: "we don't do inside air".
All other parts of government contacted say "It's not my job". NO ONE CARES BECAUSE It's only mobile homes anyway. That's what TDLR A/C division DOES and BRAGS ABOUT it with ease.

The FACT that the Texas Department of License and Regulation abuses it's power and safty concerns for consumers TO MAKE SURE SABOTAGE CAN AND DOES HAPPEN IN TEXAS ONLY. That alone shows wrongs being covered that are EASY TO PROVE and evil to be commiting against Texas families.

No other states commit the wrongs like Texas because their code laws and SAFETY laws apply to ALL RESIDENCES. There is a list of codes overlooked
in all the things TDLR says is OK and legal for use in mobile homes "only". No other residence or family has to even worry about this illegal A/C work being done in their home. It was only "made legal" to SABOTAGE families health while in the process of destroying the A/C systems in MOBILE HOME RESIDENCES.

There is also a Modular Building Division at TDLR. That is a building that is mobile more than once. Almost always used as temporary offices or classes. It is used in places that home building or mobile home use would do no good. Some are used as residences I'm sure also. They are designed and look just like mobile homes.
This is just one example of the places that TDLR CAN INSTALL THE EXACT SAME EQUIPMENT, But if done the way TDLR teaches is LEGAL for mobile home only residences. IT WOULD BE ILLEGAL and NOT PASS CODES with a long list of REASONS and HEALTH FACTORS
to show and prove why it is ILLEGAL and DOES NOT PASS CODES. The long list could come from TDLR very easy to prove why to never do it.
THAT IS JUST ONE OF THE LIST THAT IS COMPLETELY OMMITED by the TDLR when saying things like "we do it because it is LEGAL" in mobile homes "only".

Controlled Sabotage on a segregated group of citizens just because TDLR says it is "OK" and "LEGAL".

Laws created for nothing but to cover the sabotage up and KEEP IT WORKING

DID YOU KNOW correctly installed "INDOOR COOLING COILS" DO NOT "NEED CLEANING" for up to TWENTY YEARS? If installed correctly.
DO YOUR INSIDE A/C PARTS AND COILS NEED "REGULAR CLEANING"? Once a year? TWICE A YEAR? MORE?
DO YOU LIVE IN A MOBILE HOME?
DOES YOUR A/C RUN OVER 30 plus MINUTES to just COOL YOUR MOBILE HOME to 78 degrees?
Do your children have "UNEXPLAINED BREATHING PROBLEMS"? IS IT CALLED ASTHMA? OR ALLERGIES?
TRY A "NEW" MEDICINE AND COME BACK NEXT WEEK ever been heard for it?
YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED if you live in Texas?.

The SCAM that TDLR covers and hides to "create income" is also a guaranteed cause of contamination and creates harm to families health. BUT WHO CARES?
It's "only" a mobile home of Texas. They are built to fall apart anyway is TDLR's opinion of it all. Just happens to be the state with the MOST MOBILE HOMES I bet?
How many proud changes has the mobile home division of TDLR made since it's existance? I bet it is a short list if looked at.
The TDLR would never approve of this for it's own offices. It would never be approved of in any of their homes.

TRUE FACTS were not used when deciding to DESTROY "only" a certain group of residences in Texas.

The only place the TDLR can approve of this sabotage air contamination by incorrect installation of A/C equipment is "IN" the mobile home
residences of Texas families.
The TDLR would never approve of this for any office, ANYWHERE. The TDLR would never approve of this for any of
THEIR HOMES, your home, or ANY OTHER RESIDENCE in this big state. Every other state already calls it illegal too.

The TDLR's mobile home "only" method for HVAC installation could not pass codes at the zoo in Texas
with environments for the animals. A mobile home is a residence with a controlled environment.
The ZOO could not pass with the sabotage set-up that is used "legally" on mobile homes "only".
This seems to occur ONLY IN TEXAS. Other states abide by their own regulations instead of SCAM CREATE, SCAM TEACH, and PROTECT SCAM with
BOGUS LAWS that can be PROVEN BOGUS VERY EASILY..

The FTC can not evplain why it is "legal in Texas" to incorrectly install equipment with the FULL KNOWLEDGE that the
results of that installation will be costly for the consumer for never ending work and parts that would NOT BE NEEDED at all with a correct installation.
The mobile home only method of TDLR is guaranteed to create negatives to occur. Which equals lots of extra
work for who ever installed it. INCORRECTLY. The way TDLR A/C division teaches them is "ok" for mobile homes "only". And
ONLY in TEXAS. Other states consider the air in their elders mobile homes should pass EPA and clean air etc..
It is contaminated air the way TDLR A/C insist be called legal for mobile homes only. The list of health hazards created by this could be
completely eliminated by simply using the same mode of HVAC codes that every citizen in this ENTIRE COUNTRY is entitled to and CAN "RELY" ON as
"done correctly". America has 50 states. Texas is the only state that "MAKES IT LEGAL" to sabotage families homes as long as they purchase a mobile home
in TEXAS.

It is GUARANTEED to CAUSE and CREATE HEALTH HAZARDS that would never occur when filters are installed correctly.
Correctly just like every "other" home in Texas. It causes 100% humidity in the entire air system if not. That is just one of the minor created problems.

It could not pass TDLR codes anywhere in Texas with a long list of good reasons and facts to PROVE why it
will never pass codes or ever be legal. TDLR has IGNORED FACTS like those to make the statement of "It's legal" but only
in mobile homes.
The EPA, FTC, SENATE, GOVERNOR, ATTY GENERAL, ACLU, ALL STATE REPS, and EVERYONE else
who was even asked about this checked with the TDLR to see if it was "OK". Check with the scam engineer to see if it is OK?
The TDLR the office that can omit themselves from their own laws. The TDLR who ignore years of study and FACTS can "only come up"
with "it's legal", as a reason to COMMIT SABOTAGE on us. "It's Legal" to destroy your health and environment is the explanation of it all.
It is a scam and scams are hard to cover when questions start. Lame answers of "it's legal" for questions of over 40 proven negatives presented to them.

Out of the 23 million or so in Texas, how many Texans live in mobile homes? Millions? Being scammed by TDLR experts ignoring the FACTS
they ENDORSE for all others. Scammed for health. Scammed for at least 5 times maintenance cost. Scammed for 5 times as much electrical waste.
Scammed for parts and service calls. A total SCAM from the time it is allowed to be installed incorrectly by the TDLR A/C division saying it is "OK"
to intentionally sabotage mobile home HVAC systems and "that is the way we do it in Texas".

All Other states license and regulations definately say a FILTER RACK of some type must be installed correctly and
"SEALED CORRECTLY" to use IN ANY RESIDENCE of any type. This FACT alone is why TDLR A/C division and ALL their experts at TDLR
CAN NOT FIND one reason to endorse or TEACH others such "STUPIDITY"?
Every A/C manufacturer says if done to their A/C equipment, the way TDLR says is legal mobile homes only, It totally VOIDS THEIR WARRENTY.
FACTS like these pointed out in this short letter are only part of the proof that TDLR answers with That's the way we do it in Texas.

Would anyone like to see the long list of reasons and FACTS used to MAKE SURE it is ILLEGAL to NOT HAVE ONE installed and sealed correctly?

The TDLR A/C division uses the EXACT SAME LIST OF CODES to make sure it is "ILLEGAL", EVERYWHERE, except the mobile home "residences of Texas".

I have a lot more information and facts. I can prove them all and there are very many. In any court, to anyone, anytime.
What is listed here is very short and leaves out very much detail.

Please contact me for more information or questions.

Me and my husband went purchase a mobile home from Clayton homes in thibodaux. For a few weeks everything was going good. We was approved for the home on there lot. Clayton Homes contract

Made a deposit on a 32' X 64' Riverland "floor model" home, spent 3 months looking for a suitable site, negotiated and made an acceptable offer on the land with deposit, was approved for mortgage financing with rates acceptable to me.
This is a 2008 model, fully furnished that we were told they were "looking to move because a newer show model was comming". List was 129, 900. Sale price was 99, 900. The lot is already cleared, has city water and adjacent elec, culvert and driveway already in, needs to have septic (modad) installed and a pad.
All-in all, with the reduction in price of the home and the lot 75% ready, and financing onboard, this would have appeared to be a done deal.
Now, Andy and Matt (the finance person and the mananger) tell us the total package won't meet appraiasal!
HUH? They tried to tell me the square footage vs the number of bedrooms (1920sqft, 3bdr, 2bath) was messing up the appraisial. ###!
I have considerable time, money, and effort invested in this transaction only to be told at the very end that it wasn't going to meet the appraisial criteria.
They attempted to get me into a plain jane unit that was nothing like the floor model.
This is the apitomy of a bad faith deal. They had no intention of selling me the unit I put a deposit on. I'd been to the dealership 4 or 5 times throughout all this searching and financing and it wasn't till I was approved for financing that this "failure to meet appraisial" stuff came up.
Looking for a real estate attorney.

Clayton Homes poor construction, faulty appliances

In 2001 I bought a $90, 000.00 Clayton Manufactured home. Within 1 year I had to replace the microwave and rangehoo, I had to have the refridgerator freezer worked on twice, the front door does not fit well, as well as the front screen door. I called the seller and they sent someone out and they worked on the doors, and they still did not fit well. When they installed the plumbing the crossover pipe had a leak that we could not see and insurance woulkd not cover it and the contractor also would not fix the damage to the floor. I had to pay to have the pipe and floor repaired. After 2 years my central A.C. had to be replaced. That was $1500.00. The model home we looked at was beautiful. We put in high quality furniture, and we had the a.c serviced the first fall after we used it for one summer. It just stopped working in early August and we live in S.C. and it was hot. I already had to relace the living room carpeting, as well as the kitchen vinyl and the laundry room vinyl because of the water damage to the floor. Before we moved in we had the area beneath the home bricked in, so we could not see or hear the water leaking.
Clayton Homes are junk. I wish I would have went with another company. As soon as possible I am going to sell this home and build a new home, and avoid prefabricated homes.

Clayton Homes mold problems

I have a two year old modular home we purchased from Freedom Homes (Clayton Homes). The mold is on an interior wall of the house, where the two halves of the house meet. The are no water lines in the area. I spoke to the rep from the location where house was purchased. At first he attempted to blow me off, then after telling him that might explain why my wife and two of my children from sinus problems and severe headaches he said he'll send someone out to look at the problem. My question is; if I have mold in an area where there is no way water can accumulate to create the problem. Then, is this a sign of a much larger problem hidden within the walls? Should I contact a lawyer? And do I need an environmental company to test the house for further exposure?

Water can easily get in between the marriage line through the ridge cap. If it was installed wrong it will leak causing water to get in there. I've seen it happen 100 times to these homes. I would hire a mobile home inspector to check it out. As for clayton homes, you only have a 1 yr waranty, if you bought an extended warranty, that is through the insurance, contact them as well. If nothing is done get a lawyer. Good luck to you.

Court action needed. Join a large group of people this company and other named companies hidden behind the source (clayton homes).

FIRST OF ALL, GET YOUR FAMILY OUT OF THIS HOME! I will list a number for you to call for further information on a home we recently "gutted" because of the same problems. I also(upon permission of that homeowner) have photos of what "we" found behind the walls.

Email me at gotohelo2@yahoo.com and I will pass this on to that other homeowner!
