Disappointing Experience at Club Lime Gym: Outdated Equipment and Poor Customer Service
Club Lime is a gym that we signed up for, but it turned out to be the worst decision we ever made. We had a lot of trouble understanding their terms and conditions, and even after we canceled our membership, they still charged us. It was a real hassle trying to get our money back.
The gym itself was not very impressive either. The equipment was old and outdated, and there were not enough machines to go around. The staff were not very helpful either, and it seemed like they didn't really care about their customers.
Overall, we would not recommend Club Lime to anyone. It was a waste of time and money, and we were very disappointed with our experience there. If you're looking for a good gym, we suggest you look elsewhere.
Disappointing Customer Service at Club Lime: A Review
I gotta say, I ain't too impressed with Club Lime. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, to be honest. The customer service is just plain terrible. I've been trying to cancel my membership for three whole months now, and they just won't respond to my emails or calls. I've sent them four emails already, but they just keep ignoring me and taking money out of my account. It's like they don't even care about their customers!
I finally had enough and had to report them to the Jurisdictions. It's just not right to treat people like this. I mean, I understand that things can get busy and all, but come on! At least have the decency to respond to your customers when they're trying to cancel their membership. It's not like I'm asking for the world here.
Overall, I'd say that Club Lime is a pretty disappointing gym. The facilities are okay, I guess, but the customer service is just plain awful. If you're thinking about joining, I'd say think twice. There are plenty of other gyms out there that actually care about their customers and won't ignore you when you're trying to cancel your membership.
Difficulty Cancelling Membership at Club Lime - Frustrated Customer Review
I gotta say, I went to Club Lime a few times last year and it was pretty good. I mean, I went three times in the first two weeks and then kinda forgot about it, but that's on me. Anyway, I decided to cancel my membership at the beginning of this year and I sent two requests to do so - one on the 2nd of January and another on the 12th. But I haven't heard anything back yet.
Honestly, the website is a bit of a pain to use. I couldn't find the link to cancel my membership, so I had to send those requests in writing. And now I'm feeling a bit frustrated that I haven't heard anything back yet. I mean, if a customer asks twice to cancel, you'd think they'd honor that, right?
Anyway, I hope they sort it out soon. It's not like I'm trying to cause trouble or anything, I just don't want to keep paying for something I'm not using.
Unacceptable Policies: My Experience with Club Lime South Morang
I joined Club Lime when it was owned by One Health, but now it's under the VIVA Leisure Group and goes by the name CLUB LIME. I want to share my experience with this gym chain, specifically the South Morang location, but I believe their policies apply to all their locations across Australia. I want to warn people who are considering joining this gym chain that if you encounter any financial or medical problems in life that are beyond your control, do not expect any compassion from CLUB LIME MANAGEMENT.
COVID has taught us all that we don't know what's around the corner. Even though they have policies in place that state NO REFUNDS, sometimes you need to look at a case on its merits. Unfortunately, my experience with CLUB LIME SOUTH MORANG was not a positive one. I lost my business during COVID, and I have medical issues that affect my ability to work. If I exercise and build some muscle strength, it could permit me to work to survive. However, I am exempt from the current vaccines due to my rare medical condition.
I explained all of this to CLUB LIME SOUTH MORANG, but they didn't seem to care. They refused my refund of a full year paid in advance plus 3 PT sessions. I had only used 2 weeks of this membership before we went into lockdown in VIC. I believe this is a very poor decision on behalf of the management team, and it will damage their reputation. I have reported this to the ACCC, who control consumer protection with refunds, and I intend to take it as far as I can, as it is based on principle.
In conclusion, I do not recommend CLUB LIME to anyone. Their rigid policies and lack of compassion for their members' situations are unacceptable. I hope my experience will help others make an informed decision before joining this gym chain.

Membership
I was in a weekly membership at Club Lime and then stopped using Club Lime service since August 2023. I chose to pay my membership by week, despite that it would be cheaper to do it by month/year, because it promises greater flexibility. Yet it was only an illusion that Club Lime used to rip off its customers. When you want to exercise your right to...

I signed up to this gym in 2022. The buzzer never worked whenever I attended the gym and it was impossible to call anyone to rectify the situation outside business hours. Due to the lack of access, I could not attend the gym without the assistance of a friend. It eventually became such an issue that I stopped going to the gym and asked for my membership...

I signed up to lime gym 29th of May 2023 and there was a 3 week free offer.
Every time I went in the access wasn’t working, when I mentioned this to the staff they just buzzed me in. In addition to that I asked when my 3 weeks free would kick in but unfortunately no one could help.
With access not working it meant I couldn’t access gym outside of staffed hours.
Access not being registered also means that they have no record of me attending classes and should there be an emergency/accident I would not be accounted for.
After several attempts to receive help I put a hold on my back card in an attempt to have someone reach out. I have since spoke. To the online chat and the customer service is absolutely disgusting. I keep being told someone will contact me from Five Dock branch and no one does. I asked that membership be put on hold till issue is rectified and I have been directed to the member portal as they do not accept requests in writing. I have attempted to get on the blind portal with no success and have also notified them.
In addition to all this they have charged me a dishonour fee of about $10 for not making payment although I can’t use the gym membership in line with what I have paid for.
Further to this I’m expected to pay $2.50 to have the membership put on hold and till now still can’t get on the portal.
So essentially I’m paying for a membership I can’t use and receiving no help to rectify this.
I have since googled like gym reviews only to find that there are 100’s of people with complaints in regards to service, taking money without providing a service, unclean locations and making people pay by making it impossible to cancel memberships.
Desired outcome: Initially I wanted to just fix the issue and continue my membership. But as this goes on it’s just getting worse. After reading reviews and realising how many people are being scammed I want nothing to do with this gym.
